1881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its been $800 for a reeeeeallly long time..... on: February 05, 2014, 06:41:46 AM
Isn't stability what we want if we're looking for wide adoption?  Normal currencies don't fluctuate insane amounts in a day, and that's what is keeping a lot of people from buying in.  Maybe it will get some of the more hesitant people to buy in, which would raise the price Smiley

This is exactly my thought on the issue. Stability with a very gradual rise would be best in terms of the long term, rather than up and down rollercoster that is unpredictable.

Where in the US are you shipping from? Would you consider local pickup?

Ordering from Amazon, so can't unfortunately

Oh so you order from amazon and have it shipped straight from amazon to me?

1885  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: We want to buy/manage your old mining farm on: February 02, 2014, 12:55:20 AM
So you want people to send you their mining farms? to "a country" in south america? You need to make a strong trust case.
1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Banning Bitcoin on: February 01, 2014, 04:39:58 AM
That's not a very good news. Is it safe to keep our money on BTC-e?
BTC-e is not Russian

Are you sure about that?

4x 280x waiting on a 290x so I can add another.

What for are these blue buttons on sapphires cards ??
on /off  what for ??

UEFI bios on/off. For W8, apparently according to what I read in the manual. I leave my little blue lights on for fun as well, no effect either way in Linux/W7. I have a bunch more sapphire 280x dual-x cards w/o that blue button as well, only has a little switch like we are all used to.
I switched them off to save energy LOL

What box is that? The black one with the blue rim on top

1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoins if the $ collapses? on: January 21, 2014, 02:01:05 AM

However, keep in mind that the US Dollar is backed by the most powerful military regime in the World, so I don't see the dollar disappearing entirely.

The value of the dollar has nothing to do with the military, otherwise we could just double our military and double what we can buy with a $1? LOL. Also do you think there would be a US military if the currency they got paid in instantly became $0 and they couldn't afford their homes, food etc?

my little Scrypt-Rig

1x Gigabyte HD7950
2x HIS HD7950 iceQ Turbo
ASRock Extreme4 970 Mainboard
AMD Sempron 145 CPU
4GB DDR3 Ram
30GB Seagate S-ATA 7200 HDD
TP Link USB WLan
1000w LC1000 V2.3 Legion X2 PSU
Windows 7 x64

1,96kh/s @ 820w form the Wall

Could you post the link where you got your 1x to 16x risers from? I know of some people that keep running into faulty ones.
1893  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: January 14, 2014, 06:40:36 PM
Finally getting around to posting my pictures.

8+MH/s Scrypt
200GH/s SHA-256 with a Bitmain S1

All located at a Data Center, nice quiet house.

Definitely not the prettiest thing, but I works. Full Modular is the way to go, and that escaped me in the beginning.

I absolutely LOVE your setup! now to find a datacenter to host some of my miners..
1894  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: my rig won't turn on with risers on: January 14, 2014, 06:38:52 PM
I have the same problem except I use a Z77 Mpower board..

When the 1x to 16x riser is plugged in, it takes 3-4 times before it boots... It will start up, fans hit 100% and then freeze.... over and over until it finally boots... (3-5 times before success).

Riser is fine, I've tested with multiple risers... When I plug in the molex, it also doesn't work so I'm not sure what that could mean.

Any ideas, it's very annoying and makes my rig super unstable?

That still sounds like a faulty riser to me and it more often than not happens with these made-in-china powered risers.
1895  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: my rig won't turn on with risers on: January 12, 2014, 10:30:57 PM
i found the problem...
the riser was broken and was fucking up everything

Told you Tongue
1896  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: my rig won't turn on with risers on: January 12, 2014, 02:25:43 AM
If you're using a powered riser (especially from china) sometimes the wire connection is faulty and doesn't work. Try a non-powered riser or if you really want just remove the power cable from the riser and see if that works (may take some soldering to get it back on though...)

Hello, I'd like to purchase a few redeemed/used cassius coins just to have for fun. PM/Post your offers. I'm looking to pick some up for dirt cheap so please don't try to sell me any collectors coins for a high price etc.

What are you offering for BFL 5 GH/s ASIC's? PM back is preferred.

1900  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Random lockups/freezes on mining rig. 0.1 BTC bounty for a fix on: January 03, 2014, 04:11:24 AM
What pool do you mine on? If your pool switches coins, that easily locks up cards. The fix? Install CGWatcher and have it restart mining when cards go sick or cgminer freezes etc.

If you mine on a multicoin pool try mining only litecoin (for example) for 24 hours and see if you get a crash....if not then just use the fix I listed above.

here is my btc address if my solution works for you Smiley

1KnyGG1sySxmCGAD2AAukCWPT8T1o22rhK
Thanks for the troubleshooting tip, however that is not a solution because this is not a videocard lock, it's at CPU or chipset level. I've ran with and without CGWatcher. It also happened when a Nvidia 6200TC was providing video or just with teamviewer virtual display driver. The keyboard leds don't toggle and the wireless connections fall from my router

Yep I had the same problem....feel free to do all the other trouble shooting you wish, but in the end give my suggestion a try with mining a single coin for 24 hours and see if there are any crashes. Good luck Smiley
