Learn PHP, HTML, Ajax, Javascript. Then learn how to use wallets. Then either figure out how to connect the two yourself or come back and ask for advice.
1522  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RPG MO - an indie mmorpg on: August 04, 2014, 03:38:03 AM
Perhaps integrate bitcoins into the game?
they are integrated, click on Buy items and coins -> BTC and after the donation you get automagically the MOS credits to your account

When you kill monsters do you get satoshis? People would LOVE the idea of looting real spendable money off of mobs even it was only 100th of a penny each time.

Marx you should take this into consideration. Take a very small percent of the profit you make in Bitcoins (or fork some over yourself to get it started) and make it so that each mob drops a few satoshi's. Players can then either cash out the satoshi's after they collect a lot (1 mBTC for instance) or they can re-use the satoshi's to buy stuff in your in-game store.
1523  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Which game you would like to play for bitcoins? on: August 04, 2014, 03:33:49 AM
I have asked  a dev for estimate. He said 1 BTC for full chess game.

Please donate here

Can anyone know any investors in this forum?

Donating to you so that you can make Bitcoins off our donation doesn't sound right. You should either look for an investor where you provide a return on their investment, or fork out the 1 BTC yourself to have it made. You probably won't find many people giving you  1 Bitcoin on these forums, but check out BTCJam for loans and just verify as much as you can with them.
1524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Which game you would like to play for bitcoins? on: August 04, 2014, 03:31:18 AM
Would it be random player vs random player. I would enjoy that. Add a bunch of different games, you can't just have one game. I voted chess, I haven't seen that and it would work nicely.

player vs computer

Playing anything against a computer for bitcoins sounds like a sure loss. Allow for player vs player and just take a cut on the winnings like casinos do during poker games such as Texas Hold'em.

Whatever happened to the metallic CNC'd trezor?
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 04, 2014, 03:06:54 AM
Thanks guys, I've gotten some really good replies. My only question at this point is, why does everyone suggest Armory over electrum? Is there any good reason for this or just preference?
1527  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: The Future Wallet Design! on: August 03, 2014, 02:58:23 PM
I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. Why is the tab titled ABC Financial Market? Does this wallet support multiple coins and if so, where is the option to add them? Under Cash "TEND" what is that exactly? With it having a wallet address it looks more like a coin rather than "cash" (not sure how cash would be in the wallet anyways).
1528  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Argentina the cyprus of 2014? on: August 03, 2014, 02:53:15 PM
This is about Argentina defaulting on its bonds.  Bonds are denominated in USD so they can't print pesos to get out of mess.   Not comparable to Cyprus situation.  Cypriots bought bitcoin because imposed bank holiday

Stop thinking everything is good for bitcoin.  LOL  Roll Eyes

If Argentinians could buy USD, they would.
Depends on whether BTC is easier to lay hands on, or USD.
In the end, it could be good for bitcoin.

Did you read the story?   Agentina is defaulting on some bonds.   What does this have to go people converting their currency

Because there will now be hyperinflation of the Argentina Peso > 30% this year, meaning a big loss for holders of pesos. Thus it is advantageous for them to convert their money into a currency that will not inflate as greatly, such as the USD or possibly bitcoin.
1529  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 03, 2014, 01:21:32 PM
We can't request our payments early right? If I have done my 400 (I've done a lot more actually) could I fill out the payment request form now? I am travelling around and I am not sure where I will be and what kind of internet access I will have on the 17th, so it would be nice to fill out the form now so I can assure that I don't miss the chance.

I would doubt it. Part of the campaign is not just making the posts, but then the signature being active in your replies for the month. This way if anyone is searching the forums (or through google) and start reading the replies, your sig will still be in there for a month and people may click on it. Otherwise, Stunna doesn't get the full effect (missing the time component) of his ad campaign.
1530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the #@!$ is going on ?! on: August 03, 2014, 01:15:48 PM
I think OP means you can't wait an 60+ minutes for your payment to confim when you buy coffee, or shoes.... or anything were you stand in line at the counter.

I think most transactions will take place as soon as the blockchain receives the transaction, and then merchants will process the payment as "complete" prior to waiting for 1 confirmation. Otherwise transactions could be "insured" in that there could be 3rd parties that you store bitcoins with to use for fast transactions. These parties will have known private keys from which they send bitcoins from. You will then login to the 3rd parties website, send the bitcoins from your account, which goes through their known public address to the merchant. The merchant then "trusts" the known public key/company, so if for whatever reason the transaction doesnt become confirmed, the merchant knows that the 3rd party will take care of the issue and resend the coins etc.

I think that will be the place of business for companies like visa/chase/mastercard etc in the future. Acting as 3rd parties to speed up transactions that are fast paced (store shopping, fast food etc).
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2014, 01:09:35 PM
I would just do 10 paper wallets with 10 Bitcoins in each - there is no real need to diversify wallet types, just diversify the coins

With 10 paper wallets you risk them being destroyed. You also have the problem of not having a true hot wallet in order to send bitcoins on the fly with unless you carry the paper wallet in addition to your phone and scan in the key.
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the #@!$ is going on ?! on: August 03, 2014, 01:06:51 PM
How can bitcoin POSSIBLY survive in the real world if retail is basically put to a halt waiting for confirmation times....or in saying that what about ATM's or buying/selling BTC?

How can the USD possibly survive in the real world if you have to wait an entire week to transfer money from one side of the country to the other side!?

Not to mention the 10%+ transaction fees of fiat. 23 minute confirmation times to send money anywhere in the world? Well.....back to fiat I go!
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2014, 01:03:20 PM
every 5 or 10BTC ... use a new wallet.
i do this.

when you pay ... seller don't know if you have more than 5 or 10 BTC.

New wallet or new private key? What about a reasonable cold/hot wallet mixture? And what about online wallets so that your coins are portable?

I feel there should be a good ratio of such wallet types, I just don't know which ratio would be best.

It seems like 1-2 cold storage wallets, 1 PC hot wallet, 1 brain wallet?, 1 phone hot wallet and 1 internet hot wallet might work, but then what ratio of coins to each wallet?
1534  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina and Bitcoin - Why has there not been a switch? on: August 03, 2014, 12:52:39 PM
Argentina's new import restrictions to limit outflow of capital and other measures ironically also contribute to making it hard to get your hands on btc in Argentina

Yeah their import restrictions are brutal. Only way I'd see the people of Argentina being able to easily get bitcoins is for a bitcoin company to startup in argentina that ALSO gives a kickback to the government. IE the company charges market price + their own fee + small extra fee for kickback to government. That way the more people that buy bitcoin with the peso, the more money the government also makes. Otherwise I don't see their government approving any outflow of pesos to other stores of value.

The people of Argentina would probably go for this type of business model....considering that their inflation this year will probably be >30%, I'd doubt they would mind a 2% extra fee as a government kickback in order to offset the inflation that will take place on their peso.

1536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Serious ewallet on: August 03, 2014, 12:43:48 PM
You want to transfer bitcoins or just dollars?

I have $ and want to transfer them to BTC, and do some trades and then retransfer them to $

Then just use an exchange like Bitstamp (you need ID verification) or btc-e.com (no ID if I remember right). But you will encounter fees such as bank transfers and exchange fees and also take the risk of losing it all if they run with your money for whatever reason or lock you down (IE Mt Gox).
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2014, 12:40:44 PM
Not that I have that many (I wish!), but how would you store >100 Bitcoins? The easy answer is just to say "create 1 offline/cold wallet and put them all in". But what about risk management? IE how do you store a very large value of coins while managing risk against hackers, forgetting passwords, the obvious need for at least 1 hot wallet, portability, easy of use, house fires, EMP bomb's (lol), or if a foreigner had to flee a country while taking no assets etc etc.

I'm looking for real responses and ideas. Please keep the trolling to a minimum Tongue
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [IDEA] Print paper wallets on pocket printer. on: August 03, 2014, 10:03:08 AM
I understand why you think this is necessary, but I assure you the technology will quickly evolve to make such a cumbersome device obsolete.

Soon Bitcoin theft will become impossible. Did you know your heartbeat rhythm is as unique as your fingerprint?

In the near future, you will wear a bracelet that detects this rhythm and locks your wallet the moment the bracelet is removed. The device will also ask for your confirmation via smartphone anytime a transaction occurs.

Or perhaps it will be a google-glass type device that scans your retina for every transaction. Who knows?

What's certain is that the problem of crypto theft will soon be solved, because profit finds a way to be made, and solving that problem will be extremely lucrative indeed.

WHEN this happens, fear will be completely removed from the bitcoin space, and we will have a glorious outburst of economic activity in the bitcoin sphere.

Problem with using your heartbeat to access anything is that your heart rhythm changes as you age, and especially in cases of pathology. Could you imagine being 45, developing atrial fibrillation and then no longer being able to access your bitcoins? What if you develop an AV block, or go into transient a-fib after an alcohol binge?
1539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would faucets be worth it if you thought Bitcoin will reach $1-10 million? on: August 03, 2014, 09:10:21 AM
You're better off looking for change on the street and buying bitcoins with the found money. Faucets are a complete waste of time.
1540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Serious ewallet on: August 03, 2014, 09:09:15 AM
Whatever you do, don't keep $100,000 on an exchange. Look up how to setup a cold (offline) wallet for safe storage and make backups.
