1961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could drop to $10,000 by 2023 as the Fed normalizes interest rate policy on: September 08, 2022, 09:45:50 PM
Bitcoin dropping to $10,000 by 2023 is possibly but I wouldn't bet on it, too much support seems in place for it to go this low.  Sounds like more FUD by institutions to increase their holdings by shaking down and out weak hands and panic sellers.
Most of us are not seeing it that bitcoin will drop its price further like $10k, but knowing bitcoin, everything happens quickly that it will always surprised us all the time. Though some people fear on it particularly for those newbies investors who have bought bitcoin at a higher price, but isn’t it more favorable on our part if bitcoin and drops too low and give us biggest opportunity to buy again and hold. Not everyone favors on that but I think seeing bitcoin drops to $10k is very much possible.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 05, 2022, 08:42:15 PM
And yet, there is some truth in every joke, and the above "strategy" or better to say a recommendation, seems to me worthy of acceptance, because using 1% of your family's monthly income for gambling can really get rid of a lot of problems and have a little fun without prejudice to everyone.
OP’s recommendation is really good and very practical. But this will only be followed if you are a disciplined gambler as you always make sure you’re only using the allotted amount to gamble. For those who gamble every time they have extra money, and that they find gambling to relieve stress and find entertainment, then this strategy will never work for them. But as long as you only gamble on the amount you can afford to lose, I think that’s still fine.
1963  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: September 05, 2022, 07:42:23 PM
But most casinos always offer bonuses for first-time users and that is not a new thing we all know why they do that it is because they want to attract new players. But most time players also go for unique games so they always look out for platform that gives such an experience.

We do have some gamblers at the loom of bonuses either for registration or referrals while some don't even mind because their main aim is to have a satisfactory experience of the casino and not to make bonus, this set of gamblers have thier money already and are not minding to making profits from their gambling wins but rather to derive a satisfaction in playing games, if you're on a look for bonuses, then remember that some are not redeemable not until you pass through KYC.
Bonuses are just another way to keep our enthusiasm in gambling but mostly, gamblers mainly gamble for experience satisfaction as they find gambling a means to entertain them and make them relieved temporarily from personal problems. This is true to some rich gamblers while others still go for gambling for mainly profiting.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 05, 2022, 07:15:38 PM
asking their live support first regarding the issue would be the best thing to do, then take screenshots of everything as a precaution. if they ignore you and the issue you encountered after asking them about it, then creating a post regarding the issue on bitcointalk to get exposure about what's happening is the best thing to do.

Yes. Everything should start first by asking their gambling’s site customer service because if they are responsible enough, they will find solution to your problem. However, if they suddenly block your account without prior notice, and do nothing about your concern, then posting about the gambling site in the bitcointalk forum should be your next step. This is not only to aware other players about the site, but you may also find similar problem and seek assistance on how their problems were solved.
1965  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: September 05, 2022, 07:52:37 AM
The greatest vulnerability of the past is that they enter a casino and steal all the funds and then the casino has the capacity to respond to each of the players, all the casinos are in danger of that, but if a very large robbery occurs What casinos can be here to respond to that? It is known that a vulnerability is a failure of a casino, but players do not have to pay for that failure or bug.

Perhaps that was in it's infancy, wherein casino's are very vulnerable and maybe they don't have cold wallet and everything is in they hot wallet that's why hackers can get all their money. But security has involved already, and so far vulnerabilities are like people abusing the casino or even some exploits. But it can be quickly patch by the casino if they found out and that individual ban from them. Sometimes though, those exploits turns into a bug bounty for the gamblers.
Changes are now visible in most of the casinos these days as those who are prone to vulnerability before have started to lessen and improve their customer services. Although there are still events that trigger the casinos vulnerability, but mostly they are quickly addressed and solved. Good thing gamblers these days are now more educated and knowledgeable about gambling rules and policies.
1966  Economy / Gambling / Re: around 1.6 billion people worldwide gamble, What about a poker gamefi?? on: September 05, 2022, 07:15:05 AM
Poker was different gambling liked by huge people from the beginning. But due to new era of casino, their is less interest in the poking gambling. In our childhood all of us may play this game at interest. When any gambling website will bring the poker again in their gambling site, their will be huge response. Most of my friends also had huge interest on this pokers game then live casino.
Poker games are still popular and interesting these days as it’s now already played online, and probably more profitable than before. Though there are a lot of types of gambling games that continue to arise in the gambling industry, but we should not underestimate poker gambling as it’s still in demand in casinos which is mostly played by big time players and with large bankroll.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 05, 2022, 06:51:33 AM
Let's wait and see the outcome of this fight as we all know that this two fighter already proves what they got. And in their third match a lot of prediction comes up in our mind because as we can see that both fighters aiming for TKO or KO once again to prove that who is the best and if this fight ends up with a unanimous decision for sure there's a possible GGG vs canelo 4 .
The fourth fight wouldn't count as a professional record anymore, but an exhibition fight since GGG already retired when it's happen. It's sad to see there's no other good boxers that can compete GGG or Canelo on super middleweight or middleweight, so many fans only expect the fourth, fifth, sixth and so on. When GGG already retired, I think the super middleweight or middleweight would be boring.
Well if the game still ends up in unanimous decision, I’d still think that the fourth match will be as exciting as today as GGG is not ready yet to retire soon after this trilogy fight with Canelo, and he’s even ready for the fourth match if granted. GGG is definitely an asset in the boxing industry, and if his retirement age comes, then we would never witness again his exceptional boxing skills inside the ring.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 05, 2022, 06:32:07 AM

In the recent article I have posted, it's clear that Ancajas is having difficulty maintaining his weight that's why they hired a new nutritionist to help him be in good shape for this rematch. The camp stated that because of how Ancajas struggles to catch the required weight, he becomes not 100% on the fight which should not be a reason why they end up losing.

We need to trust his team as no choice after all but to support him.

If that's the case then he really needs to work things out just for this fight and he might consider moving to the upper division where he is more comfortable and with some worthy opponents waiting for him. of course, it is completely different and if he can adopt in that weight class as soon as possible, he can also be one of the top boxers there. All he needs to do right now is to train and dedicate this fight for his dream so that he will have a strong motivation to never give up.
Ancajas should give his focus and determination first to win this rematch so he can win back his title too. If he has difficulty in reaching the required weight, for sure the team is already working on it so he will be totally fit for the upcoming fight. I want to bet on Ancajas this time because I know his boxing potentials is high and he has still a lot of rooms to grow.
1969  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MBit SCAMMERS on: September 04, 2022, 11:26:52 PM
It's the problem with KYC and casinos that want to scam you. When you lose money they're fine with that but once you want to withdraw a win they suddenly want KYC claiming that you were randomly selected to do this or that you are suspected of multi accounting because someone logged in from another IP, or whatever else. Then they can say that the documents provided are not enough and require proof of residence a bill paid in your name at that residence and so on. Most people can't provide anything like that. Like when you rent an apartment you pay the landlord and all bills are in his name, he pays them. The KYC requirements from some of these casinos are ridiculous.
i think op should complete his account kyc verification and try again withdrawal . Still if the casino site won't allow him to withdraw his funds then he should open a scam accusations  thread with all clear evidence.
Just go again with your KYC verification and make sure that you are not missing some of the documents required. If the casino still refuse to give you your winnings even if you think you have successfully completed all the KYC requirements, then there must be something wrong with the casino itself. Sadly, mbits casino ann thread is no longer active these days, it might be helpful to you by then.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Strategies & Betting Psychology on: September 04, 2022, 09:56:26 PM
Sorry to say this that if I should read that book (the articles on the link) that is included in the OP before I should start to bet, that means I will never bet in my life time. I think I do not have to be like I am going on an educational journey like schooling before betting.

But I will like to know about expected value. I checked this while I clicked on the link: How much should you risk per bet?

Quote
To win in sports betting you need a betting strategy with a positive expected value, i.e. an estimation of your average winnings per bet. But how much capital should you risk per bet to achieve maximum profits? For this, you need to understand the concept of utility. Read on to find out all about it.

Expected value, a concept first explored by French mathematicians Pascal and Fermat in the 17th century when trying to solve the problem of a game of points, shows us how much we can expect to win, on average, from a bet. It doesn’t, however, have very much to say about how much capital a bettor should risk on their bet. Here is where expected utility comes into play.
I think we should able to manage our risks when it comes to gambling rather than reading multiple online articles on gambling psychology and strategies to use which can drastically reduce the way we gamble to zero. Gambling is more of risk than what we are looking to make from it which I think we should be able to handle ourselves.

Even without using a betting strategy especially in sport betting, we can sti make good profits and earn more than those than are relying on a particular strategy to gamble and make winnings. I do prefer betting in a way that suit my interest than forcing myself to dance to a particular strategy that may choke my earnings later.
Being knowledgeable about betting and gambling is not just enough, you need to develops skills and strategies too particularly in sports betting. But honestly, in most cases, if you are not lucky, you will make less profits in gambling. Even in sports betting, luck is still essential as gambling is more on chance and luck, the reason why some gamblers still often lose their money no matter how good they are in betting.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 04, 2022, 09:25:09 PM

Now, this would be something of a thread where users can give tips as to how we play online/offline without our family knowing it. Curious how you do it.

My wife suspected me for almost a year already when I was watching a UFC channel on youtube where they suggest who to bet. Of course, I said No when she asked if I was betting. From then on I just hold my phone whenever she is not around. It's a long argument when your wife suggests buying this or that on amazon yet you gambling your funds. lol
Well the argument won’t definitely stop because you keep hiding from her the truth. Just be honest and tell her about mate, after all your money is also her money since everything is conjugal when married. Who knows, she’ll be supporting you in some of your bets as long as you never gamble the funds reserved for the bills and emergency funds. That way, betting will be more exciting.
1972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some say Bitcoin is dead but Bitcoin is not dead on: September 04, 2022, 08:58:05 PM
The players gonna play, and the haters gonna hate. Ignore the people who say such bullshit, and you'll remember me. There's no reason to talk seriously for this subject if your interlocutor hasn't spent at least 100 hours to study it. It wasn't dead, isn't dead, and won't die. It's needed. If it was dead, it'd cease to exist; no blocks every 10 minutes, no merchants accepting it, no people talking about it.
Bitcoin is not dead because there is still high demand coming from it that makes the people benefited from it. And if ever it will die in the future, expect that altcoins too will die eventually because altcoins are only dependent on the future of bitcoin. However, seeing bitcoin dying i think is not gonna happen today or 10 years from now, because its growth and innovation is now inevitable.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 04, 2022, 07:07:27 AM
Upon reading, if you're a long time user of them, there's no need for you to worry. This is like an internal issue and the management has handled it.

The answer is there and stake has already given their answer for this sue that has been filed for them. So, as it says, there's the quote in the article that says:

Crypto casino Stake.com labels Freeman’s claims “inconsistent” and “misleading”

The founders of Stake.com were adamant about how Freeman’s claims were false. The firm even suggested that the lawsuit was desperate to spread incorrect information. The statement further read,

“The complaint filed by Chris Freeman contains allegations that are internally inconsistent, intentionally misleading, and provably false.”

The firm affirmed that it would stand its ground and not give in to Freeman’s demands. The founders of the Bitcoin casino were quite confident about the court dismissing Freeman’s claims shortly.
I believe long time users of Stake.com can also attest that this accusation is a lie, and that Freeman’s demands are clearly for own intentional desires. However, this may somehow affect the reputation of Stake.com as some gamblers will start to develop fear on the said casino. But for those who have built their trust on Stake.com, this kind of news won’t never create a big deal and won’t stop them from playing in Stake.com.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: September 04, 2022, 06:47:48 AM
Yes ofcourse, if someone is seeing a casino as a source of income then he must be making a huge mistake.
They should see it more like an entertainment instead of income source. This is where many tend to make mistake and hence lose their money.
Playing games on a gambling site is the easiest way to lose money. So it's better to avoid over gambling by making small bets.
People shouldn't see gambling as you say, but the truth is that many people still expect to make money from gambling. This makes many people lose more and more money and are unaware of it because the attraction of gambling is very big to attract them back again. If a person experiences a big loss, he should be able to realize himself not to repeat the same mistake and try to reduce the amount of money used for gambling and not deposit another amount of money if he loses. Thus, he would not suffer a loss and could learn from what he had already gained from gambling.
But the problem is, in most cases, once he lose his money, he will gamble again to chase his losses, hoping he will win this time. That is the mindset of most gamblers, the reason why most of the gamblers become poorer because instead of controlling and eventually stay away from gambling, they tend to gamble more because of gambling addiction. If that’s the case, it’s hard to see gambling a thing in the past.
1975  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 03, 2022, 11:33:01 PM
Well I do think that you understand the fact that most things that we need in today's world is ofcourse built by money, health, house, medicine everything and anything is based on it, not even clean water for drinking is free and in certain countries you won't be able to live without an air purifier, therefore you need to understand that it might be a motivation but to make it right and fruitful, it might not be the right motivation, if your motivation is making lives of your family and ofcourse youself better, ofcourse you would have to depend on earning a good amount but you need to understand that it's ofcourse poison in excessive quantities.
We all work hard to gain money and a good amount of compensation, because we all wanted to live life at its best. The reason why money becomes a motivation to all of us not to stop from struggling to finish our jobs or doing such investments. However, there are some instances that people resort into committing crimes and illegal acts because of the greed of money, that way money becomes the root of an evil.
1976  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Awareness of scam on social media will help reduce scam on: September 03, 2022, 10:25:24 PM
Beginners don't get awareness of scam on social media,  some mostly get aware of scam with personal experience.

People do actually get a lot of awareness on social media(though mostly depends who they're following). It's just the simple (and unfortunate) fact that most of them don't read.
And if they read, it’s like they never take time to understand and learn from it. So maybe, it’s better that they experience being scammed at first, because that will leave a good lesson on their part and make them become cautious more on what and where to invest. Social media these days have posted a lot of awareness most particularly on scamming, sad to say scammers still find ways to continue looking for victims and make them fall on their traps.
1977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have started teaching Bitcoin to my Neighbors on: September 03, 2022, 09:57:24 PM
Were they able to jot things down? Regarding their sitting position. However, you are doing a great job, get them to create their first wallet then start putting Bitcoin into it bit by bit, since they are young people their parents can fund it. Are you teaching them free of charge? If so it's ok, but paying for the session with you in your little home will enable them take the whole process more serious. From time to time they will be able to understand how the blockchain network works.
Don't you think it will be to fast for them to get a bitcoin if they haven't yet know the risk that is involve in bitcoin,  I mean volatility.  I think right now they already know the benefits of bitcoin, it is also important to teach them the volatility of bitcoin,  and how to have patience when bitcoin go dip so that if they experience it they won't feel feel much panic, buying Bitcoin should be the last  aspect and this should be done by their own decision. Their are other important things they need to know to like how to secure wallet from fraudsters.
I guess everything about bitcoin that should be learned by his neighbors are already outlined in his teaching modules. OP is taking one step at a time until he will start seeing his neighbors well knowledgeable about bitcoin, as well of its own flaws. And when that time comes, investing in bitcoin will become possible because for sure OP will certainly guide them throughout investing.
1978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living? on: September 03, 2022, 09:34:05 PM
I've heard of many people talk about cryptocurrency and its potentials all the time and at a point I begin to wonder if one can just depend fully on cryptocurrency as a means of livelihood.
I believe it’s very possible for a professional trader to make trading as a good source of living. Though it’s hard for most of us since we are not a pro in it, but if you have the skills and proven strategies in trading, then why not? However, since the crypto market sometimes becomes unstable, and becomes unprofitable to trade, the reason why even a professional trader should still have another good source of income so that when trading becomes unprofitable, his life won’t be miserable.
1979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin rise again? on: September 03, 2022, 08:56:52 PM
One thing to mention in particular was the bear market a few days ago. Then the price of Bitcoin has decreased due to the market being down. But now, despite being in a bull market, why is the price of Bitcoin decreasing now? Hope the experienced will tell.
Bitcoin will never have a fixed value and it’s price movement won’t keep moving up but is also expected to fall back, that’s how volatile bitcoin is. And I don’t think we’re now entering a bull market since afaik, the long bear market stays still. However, bitcoin price will start to increase if we start seeing positive events in the market that will influence bitcoin price to start skyrocketing.
1980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading gambling in another form? on: September 02, 2022, 11:36:39 PM
Gambling is gambling, trading is trading. They are not the same, but both are very risky. If gambling, you may not have much to learn, there are varieties of gambling games that is very easy, but if you want to trade, you have to learn it. If I should choose one, I would prefer trading, but the losses can be the same for newbies, even many people that is trading for over a long time can still be losing.

Use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade or gamble.
Both losses are inevitable in trading and gambling but if you have skills and strategies in trading, you will most likely end up a successful trade and be profitable. Unlike gambling, no matter how skilled you are and strategic, if you are unlucky, you will still end up losing all your money.
