21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a U.S. based Bitcoiner aquire an international phone number? on: May 18, 2024, 06:00:57 AM
SMS based 2 factor authorization is not considered secure, especially for financial use cases. If you just need a phone number for registering then stealths.net will let you rent a Ukranian virtual phone number for 1 year. Keep in mind that any website or app that offers virtual phone numbers can probably read the messages you are receiving so I would suggest activating a different 2FA method that isn’t SMS.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 18, 2024, 05:39:39 AM
I have a question to ask the experts since I have been thinking of it since I saw the headline, How can the weight of the fighter affect his fight?

Tyson Fury's weight was reported as 262lbs while his Oleksandr Usyk weighed 233.5lbs which is less than Fury's weight. Does lighter weight make you a better boxer who will find it easier to move, or does light weight mean that punches have lesser power? I am a bit confused, help me understand.

news

Having a weight advantage is definitely beneficial. If it weren’t, we wouldn’t see so many fighters try to negotiate a catchweight or a rehydration clause when they have to fight somebody who is bigger.

In Fury’s most notable wins, against Deontay Wilder, the weight difference played a key role in his victory. Instead of trying to outbox Wilder from the outside, Fury fought at a close distance and made it very physical fight. In the end, the second and third fights both resulted in Wilder being severely battered.

Fury’s ability to impose his size is why he was so heavily favored when this fight was initially announced. Those odds have narrowed considerably after Fury showed some signs of decline in his previous fight. In just a few hours we will know for sure if the big man is still capable of using his size advantage effectively or will Usyk be able to nullify it with speed and movement.
23  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Samourai wallet user de-anonymization on: May 17, 2024, 06:08:49 AM
I wonder if there exists a coin that does not require a mixer? Hmmmmmm

Oh wait, there already exists one!

It's called monero, and it comes no - mixer - required - out - of - the - box -privacy.

Pair this with other l33t hacksor privacy tools and you have freedom money on steroids.

Nobody is denying that Monero has great privacy features. Its existence shouldn’t be a reason to give up on trying to improve Bitcoin’s privacy. This type of rationale is often used by altcoin bag pumpers. "Why use Bitcoin when Bcash is faster and cheaper?" "Why use Bitcoin when Ethereum has smart contracts?" Bitcoin has its own qualities that will make it preferable for some people over the alternatives. These people deserve to have privacy tools at their disposal without being seen as suspicious and developers treated like criminals.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streaming community are getting worst!!! on: May 17, 2024, 04:58:16 AM
There is always some new trending meta that popular streamers are looking to capitalize on. It may be gambling right now and it might be something else later on. Streamers are like pump and dump shitcoin influencers always moving from one thing to another, looking for the quickest way to earn a buck. Nobody should be looking at them as some kind of moral authority.

Platforms like Kick are inundated with gambling streamers. It is an easy way for casinos to get exposure to a young audience and the streamers get to make a lot of money, without much effort, by promoting them. As long as the allure of easy money exists, we will continue to see people drawn to these kinds of livestreams.
25  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC🏎Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 17, 2024, 04:25:29 AM
I have not been able to withdraw my balance since last night. Help. Confirmation email is not coming

They seem to be having problems with their mail server, no emails since yesterday.

Yes, I am not receiving any emails. I sent them a private message. I sent a message on the site, no response

I was expecting an email yesterday for my FUN savings reaching maturity but it did not arrive. I did have another savings period reaching its expiration today and I did receive an email for that one, along with two promo emails, so perhaps it might already by fixed.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: May 17, 2024, 04:13:02 AM
The disgustingly corrupt WBA tried to sneak in a rehydration clause so they could handicap Frank Martin. It seems after the backlash they received they reversed their decision. Not only did they hand a title to Tank via email, but they were also trying to give him more of an advantage against an already overmatched opponent.

The thread was created on April 6, however, this is only 2 pages hehehe. This scammer Tank has not much fans. This implies that it was Ryan Garcia that brought more than 80% of the fans to watch his fight vs. Tank. I reckon if Tank does not begin showing knockouts before round 5, he might begin losing his fans. This is only my speculation, everyone can argue and disagree but the number of pages of this thread proves what I said heheheh.

Tank has always been really popular with the hip hop community, who have almost a cult like admiration for him. He won’t lose support regardless of how much of a fraud his career is, but I also don’t see him becoming more of a mainstream attraction.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Israil Madrimov vs Terrence Crawford on: May 16, 2024, 04:56:48 AM
And it will be interesting on how Crawford picks Madrimov as weakest champion of this division if I'm not mistaken.

There are two things that I'm seeing here:

1. Crawford unifying all the belts at 154 lbs and again setting another boxing record for unifying 3 weight classes
2. Doesn't care about the belts anymore, and then just go for money fights as we all know that he is not getting any younger as well.

So we will see what his best move after winning and becoming 4 weight class champion.

The endgame for Crawford seems to be getting a big money fight against Canelo. Becoming undisputed at 154 would be great and all, but the names in the division aren’t really all that attractive. The Fundora vs. Tszyu PPV only got around 20,000 buys, according to Rick Glaser, who is not very reliable but I can’t imagine the actual numbers being any better.

If the Saudis are bankrolling his career, they will want to make the biggest fights possible, and at the moment that would be Crawford vs. Canelo.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 16, 2024, 04:12:19 AM
Good for Darren Till to have found a way for his new career, he could be making huge money in boxing if he can make an impressive win. To which I'm not so sure since Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is definitely an experienced boxer. But who knows, this could be a new beginning for Till.

It could be a disappointing match but it could add to the PPV sales.

It’s impressive how long Chavez Jr. has managed to milk his father’s name and legacy. He had a somewhat lackluster championship reign a decade ago and somehow went on to fight Canelo and is still being featured on these big cards. The loss to 46 year old Anderson Silva should have made it clear he needs to retire, yet here he still is, being used as a stepping stone for an MMA fighter they will try to market as a credible opponent for Jake Paul in the near future. I guess the Dana White saying is true “cocaine isn’t cheap”, which is the only explanation for why he continues to disgrace his family name for a few bucks.
29  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 15, 2024, 05:59:13 PM
About flash promo, yesterday i d bet on multiply 0.0015... if Tier1 is bet up to 0.0005 to win 25 rp... 1 GT, , if i bet 0.0015... and win only one GT, id think that it was cummulative, and is not... and i didnt win 3 GT like i thought...

It is not cumulative unless you wager 0.0005 x10 or 0.0005 x 100. If you reach tier 2 and tier 3 it says you also get the rewards from the lower tiers, so it seems you are able to stack these bonuses if you’ve wagered those specific amounts.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is going to happen Biden orders remove of Chinese-owned crypto Miner? on: May 15, 2024, 06:08:10 AM
There is a lot of hysteria in the US about China. Biden’s chances of re-election are slipping away so he is desperately trying to appear like he is tough on China. Everything the US accuses countries like China, Russia and Iran of doing, the US and its allies are doing the same thing and probably on a greater scale.

Banning Chinese apps, imposing tariffs, blocking chip sales, and all these other hostile actions towards China don’t have all that much to do with national security. China’s technological capabilities and influence around the world are growing, which the US sees as a threat to its dominance so they will try to sabotage China in any way possible, even at the expense of American companies losing revenue and local economies being impacted by the loss of investment by Chinese businesses.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 11:53:06 PM
These are not the most exciting styles to match together. If they do end up fighting we will see a lot of running, hugging, and neither guy will really be able to hurt their opponent. I would rather see Haney against Teofimo or Subriel Matias. It is honestly a stacked division, where Pitbull Cruz and Josh Taylor are also competing. There was much better options than this dreadful matchup, but I guess Sandor got some sympathy from the WBC after he was robbed against Teofimo.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Monero survive exchange de-listings and low merchant adoption? on: May 13, 2024, 11:31:10 PM
Even for Bitcoin, which is the most popular cryptocurrency, it can be hard for some people to acquire, especially if you’re not willing to do KYC or you live in a country with strict regulation, and adoption is still not that significant. I think Monero will be fine, just like Bitcoin has been fine through periods of adversity, you just might have to deal with some inconvenience and will have to live with bearish market performance.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 13, 2024, 11:10:56 PM
Does anyone here on the forum have the courage to buy the VIP package to watch the fights? It costs 2 million dollars and gives you the right to meet the fighters and some other benefits... I thought this package was quite expensive, even if I had a lot of money left over I wouldn't have the courage to pay all that

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/most-valuable-promotions-offering-2-million-vip-package-for-mike-tyson-vs-jake-paul/

It seems kind of overpriced but it really solidifies the point that this is only a cash grab rather than a serious sporting event. Even if it’s sanctioned as a “real” fight, for two guys that aren’t aspiring to become world champion, they are really under no obligation to take this seriously. I’m guessing once they step inside the ring, everything will be somewhat scripted and the end result will be whatever organizers feel they can squeeze the most value out of. A Jake Paul victory leads to more circus fight paydays, while a Tyson victory could be used to market Tyson branded products as well as Netflix documentaries and series based around his personality.
34  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Samourai wallet user de-anonymization on: May 13, 2024, 10:47:48 PM
Point is even if someone is seeing my name on CEXs then how one can know what I am buying, like I might be buying offline. Advertising companies are the ones who uses pur data to show us relevant ads besides I would like to hear more from you. Thanks for the infor btw. Not a gay haha

Blockchain analysis companies entire business depends on being able to deanonymize people’s activity. They can achieve this to an extent by using publicly available information, privately acquiring data, or by using Bitcoin-accepting services and then tracking the flow of funds to match identities to addresses. For example, if you make a deposit on a casino, when those funds get consolidated into a hot wallet they can figure out which specific casino you like to play at.

I’m not saying that by everything being on a transparent blockchain they automatically know every single specific detail about who you are and what items you are buying. It all depends on how motivated somebody is to deanonymize you, every on-chain interaction is a possible clue that could lead to that.

Your offline purchases are usually outside the scope of blockchain analysis, so you don’t have much to worry about there, but then again your credit company has that data, which is why privacy conscious people might prefer using cash due to its fungibility.
35  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam by a BCGame Employee on: May 12, 2024, 04:40:13 PM
I am an affiliate marketer and I asked him if he could provide emails of highrollers so I could email them affiliate links.

I have no sympathy that you got scammed while trying to do something shady and unethical. BC’s privacy policy states that they may disclose some information to advertisers for marketing purposes but I doubt they will just hand it over for $100 to some random person claiming to be after some extra affiliate income. For all we know you might actually be a phishing scammer.
36  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Samourai wallet user de-anonymization on: May 12, 2024, 04:15:49 PM
I never used samurai before, TBH I sometimes wonder why would people need such a level of privacy just to make TX? Are you doing something wrong? No offense just a thought I hope no one would roast me.

Since your signature campaign payment address is public and tied to your identity on Bitcointalk, people can use that to potentially uncover personal information about you and also they can see your spending habits.

If you deposit your campaign earnings on a KYC exchange like Binance, now it is possible to find out your real name, where you live, and if you are worth a lot of money. If you like to spend your BTC on gay porn and sex toys, the whole world knows you are a degenerate pervert. I won’t make any moral judgments if that’s what you’re into, but the point is that having access to this information has real life consequences.

Wanting privacy should not imply that you are doing something bad. On the contrary, wanting to expose so much personal information to the world is what’s unreasonable. Using privacy-focused tools is completely rational and should not be stigmatized.
37  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 12, 2024, 03:38:18 PM
If I were you, I'd just dash those Legendary accounts with the signatures and branded profile pictures. Did you ever notice how their posts are often long-winded and their points are meaninglessly stretched over 100 words? They are paid to create these sort of posts with a certain character threshold to pass in order to be eligible for payment. They are promoting links in their signatures for other casinos every time they post.

This is completely spot on. These annoying, spammy shitposters creating walls of text without saying anything of substance should be completely ignored. There are a couple users in particular, who I won’t name, that don’t have even the slightest clue as to what is happening, yet they feel like they need to write an entire novel to give their worthless opinion about everything just so they can inflate their post count.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 12, 2024, 03:00:17 PM
Loma seemed to be having problem with quick fighters as he loss to Haney, so if I would choose whom he'll fight next, I'd choose Davis as the latter loves to engage and even if Loma is older than him, I think I would bet on him if he's the underdog.

I think that is a bad style matchup for Tank. The only reason Loma hasn’t been more dominant at lightweight, like he was in lower divisions, is because he is always at a size disadvantage. With Loma being taller than Tank, he will be able to use his angles and distance more effectively. Tank will get easily outboxed, his only chance is to land a big knockout punch. I only wish Tank had this desire to fight Loma when Loma was younger, but he blatantly ducked him and his promoter Floyd as well as Leonard Ellerbe came up with all kinds of stupid excuses why they wouldn’t make the fight.

If Tank is actually serious about wanting this fight, it can easily be made with one phone call by Bob Arum and Turki Alalshikh. We will see if Al Haymon will actually allow it or if we’ll be seeing Tank against another in-house cherry pick after he beats Frank Martin.
39  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: uni-join & tunbler io down? Websites offline, new regulations & raids happen? on: May 12, 2024, 06:52:27 AM
The point is not to look for a way it, but rather just trying to highlight where we are now and how stupid and embarrassing it is for a product that claims to enhance privacy and provide anonymity can now identify users via IP addresses and block them  Grin

A website wouldn’t be functional if it couldn’t see a visitor’s IP address. Not being able to access a website from certain IP addresses doesn’t affect the privacy of your wallet’s transactions in any way. Whatever communication happens between a Wasabi client and zkSNACKs servers, they have no way of knowing where it’s coming from and therefore won’t be blocked as long as you don’t go out of your way to disable the Tor service. I don’t know why anyone would even want to disable Tor and compromise their privacy in the first place.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They put an end to online gambling: what do you think it's going to happen? on: May 12, 2024, 06:26:28 AM
That with $200 he can stake and win about $100000 daily something that you won't even struggle to get, they can't even pay someone at work monthly up to that amount. So if their is no more online gambling that means definitely there won't be no more gambling at all. So how will you cope in your country if eventually they put an end to online gambling?

It does not seem plausible that somebody is earning $100k daily from just $200. If that were true, this person would not have to worry about gambling being banned because they will have earned enough money to retire comfortably.

Even if regulation becomes very strict, there is almost always some casinos willing to accept players from those regions. You might not be able to cash out in fiat but you can still enjoy your hobby by playing with crypto only.
