Absence of a pattern or order is an indication that it may be random.

What my premise is that our lack of ability to account for "every" "variable" makes things "appear" "Patternless". Like E.g a coin toss, It may appear to be "Random" 50/50 event but in reality if you were given all the variables like e.g wind etc. You could "predict" with more than 50% "certainty" the outcome.

BTW I totally agree with what @Franky1 said...

About those "Server + Client seed model", you can't be sure about any of that unless their code is open source either.

I dunno what you meant by this... Server + Client seed model allows the user to independently verify the outcomes of their bets... As for users depositing BTCs ending up in "owner's" wallet has nothing to do with the "trust" issue I was referring to. I was referring to the games themself.

What is the source of these gifts/cards?
Quote from: LeGaulois
Who knows where the GCs come from.

The most likely source of these gift cards will be IRS scams[1]... The scammers(Pajeets) usually scam off gift cards of similar value which the OP is offering... There is no way these gift cards were acquired legitimately. Unless it's BipolarBob's alt I don't expect these to be legit...

If someone emailed you a bunch of code and said "Run this on your system", would you do it? Of course not (at least, I sincerely hope not). If someone approached you in the street and said "Let me borrow your laptop/phone so I can install some programs on it", would you hand it over?

Well, 33% of American Adults[1] will still fall for a phishing scam so yeah you will find plenty of people on the web who would gladly do that...

Quote from: o_e_l_e_o
Why then do people just download and install completely unknown software, apps, add ons, etc. from complete strangers with zero due diligence? It is absolutely mind blogging people are this careless, especially when it comes to money.

Since when are people educated about privacy or these things in general? You don't get taught in the schools that there are these Corporations out there which track your every click online so use VPNs and different aliases to lesson this privacy invasion which surrounds you 24/7...  It's not their fault TBH. There isn't a system in place which educates people about their privacy and most of the current economic system thrives off from this "tracking" so there is no benefit for "them" to educate the masses about these issues...

Even if our database leaked, no one would be able to see your hand because it's stored in an encrypted state and you, the players, are the only ones that have the key.

I hate to break it you but there is no way of proving this since your code isn't opensource. So your idea won't go that far with the crypto community. The very reason no one does Crypto Multiplayer Games is the very issue of trust. You never know when the House can make up bot accounts and "scam/screw" their users. Heck, they don't even need the bot, a dev can screw over legit players for the mere fact they will know what player has chosen already. Your only option is PvH (Player vs House) with a Server + Client seed model else its a mere waste of time on your end... Many people have tried and failed and you don't want to do the same thing...
207  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feature idea: give DT1 the ability to remove specific feedbacks from DT on: January 01, 2020, 01:49:25 PM
I will just throw my 2 satoshis in... I do like the idea but there are issues with this "5 vote downvote" idea as well... What virtually could happen is 2 camps will keep fighting out each other's downvote and we will be back to ground zero. I will through in something I thought of long ago but never pitched in. We already have a section called "Untrusted Feedback" why not create another section called "Personal(Opinion) Feedback" (I'm not good with names) which won't be accounted for just like "Untrusted Feedback". This way DT members can neg the sh@t out of each other without causing any Drama, it's not a Fix to the problem but it can definitely reduce the Drama which surrounds the Trust system. If an "Opinion Neg" is thrown as a regular neg then mods could virtually remove it/move it as it won't belong in the "appropriate section". At the end of the day, People will always find a loophole, Anything which offers "Power" will be abused in some manner/time by humans. Fixing the Trust system is like fixing the Human nature but then again it can be definitely worked on...

There's always, always been a weird disconnect with earning and the internet. For some reason people would do some mindless activity they'd refuse in the real world and they'd do it for a tenth of the money too. This isn't in any way unique to crypto either.

Human ignorance never fails to amuse me...

That is appealing though. I can post on the forum while lying in bed, while watching TV, while stirring a pot of chilli, while sitting in the car waiting for someone I'm picking up, etc.

You can be a designer, a programmer and still work remotely from your bed ( if you are that kind of person Tongue ) and earn far greater than what any campaign would you pay you. E.g I can design a logo in 2-3 hours timeframe. I usually charge anywhere between $150-$250 for a standard logo. I could virtually do 1 logo a week and make the same amount as the person in chip mixer campaign. I will have far greater "Free time" than anybody who has to fill the quota of 50 posts a week. People are usually ignorant about how money can be made. I will repeat myself There are far better ways to make "Easy" money then typing comments on an Internet forum...

E.g Programming is essentially "googling" > Stack Overflow > Copy Paste, In a nutshell. These sig spammer/ plagiarisers can make a killing if they can figure out how to code...  Grin

Anyway, people who say sig campaigns pay "pennies" are mistaken in the extreme.

I kinda disagree tbh, majority of these people do get paid in pennies, Especially people whose rank is below Hero. They are doing all of this in the "promise" of higher rewarding campaigns they will have access to once they rank up. When I said they can pay a bill or two. You need to factor in that these are on the lower side as well. E.g a Normal household Energy Cost is around $10-$20. A normal broadband connection would cost around $20 per month, So someone enrolled in mint dice's campaign in a full member rank would be able to cover these if they can spam for a whole month, most of them do realize it's not worth their time but some of them do want to try it out and basically try their luck as some of their friends who joined bitcointalk before the merit system and now are enrolled in somewhat better campaigns... So that's basically their motivation in a nutshell. I would personally consider it "Pennies", given that you aren't spamming on the forum. Usually, if you are going to read the thread it can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour depending on how big it is, plus there is no guarantee that you will find something to "Respond" to or to further add to the discussion. There are far better ways to spend this time e.g learning something which you can make a better living off from...

Go for a cheap OEM key. You can get them for usually 5 bucks or so, also download the Window's ISO from Microsoft itself. Don't use any torrents for getting the ISO itself, you can never be sure with those ISOs.
Use this website to download: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10ISO

Also, it will make you download their shitty "download tool" however you can get the link to direct ISO file by doing the following.

1) Visit the URL I mentioned above.
2) Open your console F12 usually works on Chrome.
3) Enable "Device Toolbar". See image 1.
4) Change your Device to an iPhone or iPad. See image 2.
5) Refresh the page. After the refresh, you will see an option to select your windows ISO file. Just choose the latest version and choose the appropriate version for your CPU, x64 bit or x86 bit. Whatever works. You should get the direct ISO link this time. Use this ISO when you activate your windows.

I would think a good majority of the people who are from developing countries and are sig campaigning rely on it to some extent.

I can totally back that... Anybody who says otherwise is straight-up lying. I'm from what you would call a "Developing country". Last time I checked Unskilled workers make around $4-$7 per day depending on different cities, that's the standard rate. This $4-$7 isn't enough to live above the poverty line. These people hardly make it through the month. These are not the people who are good around PCs either, they would lack the basic knowledge of turning on the PC. People who wear these sigs from "developing countries" are people who are doing bitcointalk as a side gig... This side gig can easily pay a bill or two but its nowhere near that it could sustain a Person let alone a whole family for a month. However, if you are in a campaign like Chipmixer then you can sustain a good living style as the cost of living isn't on the upper side. So yeah, just don't assume the Pajeets out there are making a killing by shitposting here. They are trying to cover up for a bill or two that's it.
213  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-15] Bitcoin Prices in Venezuela Near $9,500 as BTC Demand Intensifies on: December 31, 2019, 03:41:54 PM
The word sanction was been used way too lightly in this thread. In the bigger picture yes it's all about "demand and supply" but what most people are missing here is that Bringing money out of a "sanctioned country" isn't easy. You are basically betting on ease of the sanctions placed on the country or you will have to smuggle cash out... That's where the 33% premium is coming from.  If you think you can do it! Go ahead that 33% Gain is waiting for you... But it's easier said than done...
214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any anonymous Crypto re-loadable prepaid card ? on: December 31, 2019, 02:53:25 PM
@protrader786 since you don't require something "Anonymous", why not go with something like Skrill? You stated that you need a Prepaid card for emergency "small withdrawals". I don't think the fees attached with these withdrawals justify getting a prepaid card. E.g Paycent has a $4.00 withdrawal fee + 1.25% Foreign Transaction Fee + usually a shitty Foreign exchange rate + Local fee of the ATMs + 1.5% Top-up fees. So if you are withdrawing something like $200 bucks, you will end up paying $15-$20 approx in fees. Plus there is no guarantee that these cards won't get banned or stop offering their services. You will be better off with a service like Skrill. 1% Top-up fees and you can directly withdraw to your bank within minutes... They do use Bitpay for Crypto Top-Ups that kinda sucks but other than that you won't have to worry much about other things. You will pay $5.5 flat per bank withdrawal. Their Foreign exchange rate is on the better side, you will get more than what local exchangers may offer. However, I won't recommend Skrill for greater than $2.5K withdrawals. They do have $10K per day withdraw limit but You will have to split up your withdrawals if you want more than $2.5K which means double fees but for small withdrawals, I can definitely recommend them...

@mjglqw yeah, it's a matter of time they make things hard for us.
215  Economy / Gambling / Re: Deposited 0.03 BTC to BitcoinVideoCasino (funds arrived, but not credited) on: December 29, 2019, 04:56:45 PM
@TranscriptJunky Dude listen. I didn't accuse you. All I said is what I "felt(Opinion)" with the information that was provided. I know what it's like to be in a shitty situation and i hope your situation gets better. I will point out some things which you mentioned which I don't agree with.

I actually didn't even know that a history of the bets was published on the site. I only realized this AFTER I got the response email from "Diana" (who by the way is oddly the SECOND person who replied to me - neither replies of which were especially timely, nor informative). Even after "Diana" mentioned that she had looked at my record I didn't realize where the record was until I browsed around the site, and finally saw it on the "My Games" tab.

This is the definition of irresponsible Gambling! You don't even understand how the website works and you are gambling away real money, smdh.

I don't think it is fair to EXPECT that a casual player (who has only played on that site OCCASIONALLY) will be expected to know where the record of activity is.

No, it's totally fair. A causal player will know how to browse themself around a website but an irresponsible person won't...

My responsibility is simply to deposit money, and pay the game under the ASSUMPTION that the operators of the game are not STEALING the players' money.

Dude just stop! You are typing nonsense at this point, it won't help your case.

Again I'm not accusing you but what I can say something for a fact after reading your responses so far is that "Irresponsibility" Surrounds you. Anyway moving on.

I just discovered this morning that they have added a new system by which they are now INCLUDING the "test credit" hands in the 20-hand log (ex. "My Games").

See dude this is an issue, your "story" isn't straight. At first, you said you didn't even know till Diana's email that there was a Betting Log but then you go on to claim that they added the test credit log today. How do you know that the Test Credit log didn't exist before today? Since you didn't even know that there was a log of your Real bets?

I think that's fair, and I happen to think you have a strong case for some sort of compensation. As I said in my previous post, it is far too easy to switch between test credits and BTC, and something like this would eventually have happened to another user (and may still again) if it hadn't happened to you.

This is something I agree with, there isn't a "Clear" way to suggest that the player is using Real BTCs or Test credits. They can surely work on their UI to make the difference "clear".

It looks like their UI is also broken of sorts... "Test Credits" Text is right over the credits text. It isn't even readable. For this alone, I believe they owe you your BTCs back. Anyway, I will keep an eye on the other thread and see where this issue heads to. Good luck!

OP made the bet intentionally, but is trying to claim he didn't

I feel like this is the case, OP didn't bother showing the History in his Opening Post but right after he got an email from Frank, he decided to post his betting history. If I would have been scammed as claimed, the first thing I would look at would be my Betting history. How the Balance Disappeared... OP hasn't posted his "Free credit" history so far even tho I asked for, this only furthers my suspicion. Unless BitcoinVideoPoker has a "session" expiration feature of sorts that resets user to real betting after some time of inactivity. if OP can prove that's the case then I believe they owe OP the BTCs but if it's not then its OP's Fault for not paying attention while gambling.

You can move this thread to the "Scam Accusation" section. The move option will be at bottom left.

My take is your browser proly bugged out. You will have a really difficult time here convincing users here that it was a bug on their end which caused this mess. These kinds of Bugs are often hard to reproduce, So Good luck with that. Anyway, Can you post the history of your "Free Credits" bets?

P.S Upload screenshots to Imgur and just paste the imgur urls here.

@cheezcarls I don't think its that easy TBH.

Quote from: beincrypto
With many people facing a choice between starvation and suicide

Given that's the ground situation. A cryptocurrency will be the last thing on their minds. Lebanon also lacks the basic infrastructure to support this "Crypto Revolution" that you are suggesting. Given that you require a passport[1] just for getting a "SIM card".

Quote from: FandomWiki
A passport is required to purchase a SIM card in one of the shops of the operators. You may be called by the operator to verify your identity.

Not All People have passports, there is a special fee[2] these people have to pay to get a passport. The Data Rates are also on the higher side and given that the Country is facing an economic crisis, the last thing people will be spending their money on will be buying "Data" to use a Cryptocurrency which they may not even understand the basics of. So yeah I don't think this "economic-crisis" will trigger a "Bitcoin adoption" revolution of any sort.
