1161  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: mining wallet on: September 10, 2017, 10:29:40 AM
hi guys.
just need some help picking a good btc mining wallet that accepts small payments (would like personal experience).
im using jaxx and support said they dont accepts mining payments and that it wont receive payouts from mining

Well receiving small payments will only hurt you in the long run, just save up the btcs in your mining website and withdraw higher amounts. You may try coinbase, i think they mix up your coins so you won't be burning up your btc when you withdraw.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: another btc fee question :) on: September 09, 2017, 03:51:47 PM
I had in the past a huge transaction fee about 400USD as I had alot of payments of 0.01 from mining, so i want to avoid that in the future....

I have got a singel tranaction from withdrawing from an exchange, when I look it up on the blockchain it has combined 101 inputs wich have been combined to send to my wallet! does this mean that when I want to spend it I need to pay the fee based on 101 inputs or is it count as 1 input when I want to spend it as I got it in one transaction?

As Danny said, your inputs will combine up whenever you will send a payment with more than 1 input. But it's good to practice that you only withdraw higher amounts, weather it's from faucets or cloud mining companies.  That's the only way to save up on transaction fees.

So what's the story op? Was the other address your too? Did you recover your amount or the coins are lost? Also what do you mean by it was your mistake? Mind clearing that out too? As this post will scare a lot of people.

No i would like to keep that private for now as the things are going smoothly, i don't want people to start copying my idea, i hope you understand from my point of view. As more websites like mine will mean lower income for me. Anyway have a good one.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Lucky moments during gambling? on: September 07, 2017, 10:25:06 AM
Well this happened with a friend of mine twice, he is just a one lucky fellow. He is one of those yolo gamblers. He mostly gambles on sports, anyway first time it happened was in South Africa vs Pakistan series where Pakistan was out of the match and they won in the last 2 overs, one by Junaid khan and another with saeed ajmal. His bet was around 2000 dollars on that match and Pakistan won that series. Same kind of stuff happened in the srilanka vs Pakistan t20 match, Pakistan won when they were i think 40/5.

He has won too many bets in these situations, my question is have anyone else experienced this kind of luck while they were gambling?

And how often does this type of bet go wrong?

He probably doesn't brag about that and he may actually be in a big loss and only telling you the victory stories.

His cars and businesses tell another story that he made from gambling, he started gambling when he was in 10th grade. He made around 4k from just 200 dollars. That was his start, he just gets too many bets right, i have hardly seen him lose more than 2 bets in a row. He is that lucky.

Quote
By the way, what were the odds on that game you've mentioned that bet of $2k?

I think the odds were around 3.5 when he placed the bet, i don't remember the actual figure thou.

Btw thanks for everyone for sharing their lucky moments, i enjoy reading this kind of stuff, keep them coming in. Have a great day!
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 07, 2017, 06:58:33 AM
As i said in my previous comment that if Australia could score an additional 200 they will have total control over the match, the same thing has happened. Australia has this in the bag unless they mess it up a big time. I am disappointed from Bangladesh thou on how they have collapsed. Another bet down the drain! Sigh!
1167  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Quick newbie question on: September 06, 2017, 05:08:38 AM
If you have a large amount of btcs then i would recommend you to make 2-3 separate usb backups, you can't trust a single usb, they can fail anytime or get corrupt if they are just sitting there. So 2 paper backups of the seed and 2-3 usb backups of the seed and the wallet.dat file. You just have to worry about the seed file that's all.
1168  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum stuck on synchronizing on: September 06, 2017, 04:58:54 AM
Are you using some sort of firewall? Do check your firewall and see if electrum is allowed to receive incoming traffic and it should be allowed to send the out going traffic too. Looks like something is stopping electrum's traffic and do update to the latest version as hcp said.
1169  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking parthner/investor on: September 06, 2017, 04:52:46 AM
First of all i agree with lumining, you should try to get the investors locally, you won't get any from here. Second your website is insecure, no ssl certificates, no https which all shows how poorly this website was planned. My advice for you is lock this thread take it to local casinos and partner up with someone. This is your only chance. Good luck.

Ok,
But for this kind of game no need ssl certificates. It's safety because you no need login and signup..

Your server ip is still public, some one can still hack it. Once some one is in, they can change the secret key to whatever they want and bankrupt your website, you are vulnerable to ddos attacks and so on. Upgrade your security if you are serious about this project. Anyway good luck with the project.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 06, 2017, 04:46:26 AM
Bitcoin is unstoppable, there is no tracking it if you are smart enough, if bitcoin is illegal in your country just exchange it from some other country and receive payment from other payment processesor as a charge for some service etc. Governments are stupid if they think they can really stop bitcoin. Just use a good vpn and use your brain and you won't land in any trouble.

Right now australia are just 108 runs behind with 8 wickets in hand as of writing this. They are dominating this match so far, but it will be interesting to see how Australia respond when a wicket falls. Imo if Australia can put up another 200 for the Last 8 wickets they will have total control over the match. The run rate has been slow which can later cause problems for Australia. From the looks of it, this match will be a pretty close one.
1174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: September 05, 2017, 10:42:50 AM
I have a few questions for you. Did you invest more than you can afford to lose? What was your main motive behind this purchase? Were you looking for quick profit? Did you buy bitcoins as an investment only? Did you plan to hodl your bitcoins? And so on.

The question you are asking is too vague. If i had invested just for quick profits, i would sell my btc right now and take the loss, cuz the prices may stay below $4000 for awhile now. Same is the scenario if i had invested more than i can afford to lose. But if you invested to hodl for 5-6 year then you may not do anything right now just let btc sit and ride this out.

I have ~10-20% long term, and other I'm trying to trade. It hurts, but I can afford to lose it. Now I see one of the problem is that I don't really have a clear plan.

Glad i was helpful. This was my purpose of asking these questions. You did not plan this out. Researching on a product or an asset is one thing but planning out how to deal with it when things go south is another. Unfortunately you have not planned this out. I will only recommend you the safest option right now which is to cash out and invest later with proper planning. Take this as a lesson and come prepared the next time.
1175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: September 04, 2017, 05:40:24 PM
Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

Well there are multiple answers to this question. I have a few questions for you. Did you invest more than you can afford to lose? What was your main motive behind this purchase? Were you looking for quick profit? Did you buy bitcoins as an investment only? Did you plan to hodl your bitcoins? And so on.

Australia has not produced a great spinner in a long time now. The last person was shane Warne. Australia needs to know that if they are going to play in subcontinent they need quality spinners, i know they have nathon lyon but a single spinner can't do much. 3 spinners might do the trick for them in this match but it will all come down to how they bat. If they win the toss and put up anything above 350 they will have some control on this match, anyway my bet is still on Bangladesh to win this one too.
1177  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Lost seed and 2fa but still have wallet open on my MAC? on: August 31, 2017, 11:28:59 AM
fuuuck.
Well what the hell are the private keys for if they dont even restore the wallet that they are attached to??
whats the point of even having the option to export private keys?

If you have the wallet private keys saved then you can only transfer btc from those addresses only, you won't have access to your hole wallet, hope that clears out any misunderstandings.
1178  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: MyCelium Gear and Electrum Issue, Offer 0.1 bitcoin for solving the issue on: August 31, 2017, 09:12:17 AM
you need to increase the gap limit in electrum. if you are using 2.9.3 then go to view menu > show console. Switch to the console tab and type this there:

Code:
wallet.change_gap_limit( 50 )

Close electrum and run it again. The addresses gear generated should now show up.

If this problem happens again in future you should increase the gap limit further. But don't increase it too much or your wallet will get slow. 200 should be the max.

Yup this is the most likely thing happening right now with the OP, OP are you still seeing your balance? Or the balance has gone missing too? If the balance has gone missing then there is some weird issue going on with your gadget. Btw you don't have to worry about seeing the addresses if you control your wallet you have nothing to worry about.
1179  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Lost seed and 2fa but still have wallet open on my MAC? on: August 31, 2017, 08:59:26 AM
I have only bad news for you! Your bitcoins are lost! The only hope you have right now is use a software like ease us recovery and just hope that your seed file is sitting there, if that doesn't works then try ease us on your phone maybe it will find the 2fa file. But the chances of recovering your bitcoins are very low. Any way Good luck!
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 31, 2017, 06:15:58 AM
I want to send 0,01 BTC from blockchain.info to Poloniex. What is the minimum fee I can use? This site bitcoinfees.21.co says that it should be enough to use 21 sat/b and get transaction in 9 hours. But I've heard that there is a minimum total sat size (around 5460) to prevent dust transfers. Please advice.
I actually don’t know what it is. I’ve been able to make transactions with 50sat/b though it took almost 18 hours to get confirmed. I was scared that I had lost the money, or it was not going to be confirmed

50 Satoshi is not bad if you don't want quick confirmations, also remember you never lose your bitcoins, eventually if you don't get any confirmation on your transaction. Your btc will reappear in your wallet, just please don't use a wallet like blockchain.info it will just rebroadcast your transactions and you may lose your bitcoins forever.
