1201  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Need an Adsense Partner. on: August 24, 2017, 05:11:05 PM
google adsense is really pay after reach $100 thats the minimum payout

Yes i have told this earlier.

Sound interesting.
I have adsense account.
Min payout 100usd.
Why do you need payout every day?
What happen if adsense account will be ban? Because owners of faucets was been banned by google..

Already explained this above, also my project is not a faucet, anyway don't need the investor for now from the looks of it, the things have gone pretty smooth , i think i can take this through on my own, i will close this thread after 2 months if everything goes smoothly.
1202  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum tip for newbies! Plus my Recovery story on: August 24, 2017, 03:21:11 AM
Note you shouldn't save the seed on your PC. You write it down on paper so that even if anything happened to your computer you could still restore your wallet.

You see i just made a backup of the default seed on my pc, i never thought i would use that wallet. The New custom wallet i made, i wrote the seed on the paper as the "guides" on the internet tell us to, Made a couple of backups but i didn't pay attention to the wallet electrum was using. Also for newbies its quite easy to overlook it, So the Password thing is a must.

I have deleted all or any default wallet files from Electrum.  There is NO reason I can think of to have a wallet file that is not being used.  Its just a way to shoot yourself in the foot!  Electrum will mount the last wallet file open when it was shut down.  So, if you have that default wallet file and the "other" one you use just have the actual being used wallet open last.  Now go to electrum folder and delete the default wallet.  Its gone and so are the mistakes that often follow retaining such a useless wallet.  My opinion.

Electrum is one of the best wallets out there, Sure it may lack some features but it gives you total control over your coins and is so light weight that even 128 MB storage card would be able to hold it. It's just that you have to be attentive when you are dealing in bitcoins.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price point per BTC will it be too late for the average person on: August 23, 2017, 07:26:29 PM
Well it's already too late for an average Joe living in a developing country, 4k is a lifetime of savings for some of these people, so they won't risk investing in something which they can't touch. It's definitely out of reach of approx 1.5 billion people at least from around the globe imo. Think it like this, most people in developing countries live on 3-5$ per day. That is around $150 per month approximately, take out their expenses and you hardly get any savings. So you are still lucky to get a full bitcoin imo.
1204  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum tip for newbies! Plus my Recovery story on: August 23, 2017, 07:04:56 PM
The wallet name is listed in the window title.

Also I suggest using full wallet file encryption to prevent situations where you receive money to a wallet you can't spend from. You can enable that by going to wallet menu > password, enter your password in all 3 fields, check "Encrypt wallet file and then save those settings. Now you won't even be able to view your wallet without entering the decryption password. Once you enter the password you will be able to both view and spend. So in order to get a receive address you have to enter a password and that minimizes the likelihood that you receive money to a wallet you can't spend from.

Yup, have done that now, plus i have deleted the other wallets from the app data directory, the password on launch is really useful and ensures that the person is using the right wallet for receiving the Bitcoins.
1205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I wish you could set your own fees on: August 22, 2017, 07:12:25 PM
I sent this transaction from a website that doesn't let you choose your own fees, and it wasn't a bad fee to begin with I don't think. If you guys could give me an estimate from personal experience how long it would take. I know it's really backed up and I was hoping sooner for my confirmations rather than later.
I did check https://bitcoinfees.21.co and it was really discouraging. Also if anyone knows an accelerator that works really well please let me know

Hey bro, I have tried to accelerate your transaction with your tx id 42a1990543e1459b574cefb04427461327a3bb06167b33021999016e06dce9cc

It shows accelerate submission beyond the limit. Please find the below link to try to accelerate by your own. I am sure it definitely your make to confirm ASAP.
https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
Thank you for trying! I did try try that accelerator already, is there any paid for ones?

Did you succeed while you were trying to accelerate it? If you didn't then try the following trick, right at the start of a new hour submit your trx to viabtc that does the trick for me, as for if you have already done that then you can't do much, the greedy miners have currently switched to bch which has reduced the miners on the Bitcoin network. Also there has been a recent spam attack on the mempool, just sit it out on this one, you can't do much except for using the push btc accelerator and pay for the push.
1206  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum tip for newbies! Plus my Recovery story on: August 22, 2017, 06:46:18 PM
So, i have a big tip for you guys, especially the newbies. So what happened was, a few months back, i moved from blockchain to electrum, electrum created a "Default wallet" for me, fortunately for me i saved the seed, in a text file even thou i did not intend to use it. Anyway i created a new custom wallet with a different name and closed the electrum thinking that it would have set the new wallet as default one.

After a while i started receiving payments and i did not pay attention to the wallet name, the wallet which was receiving the btcs, now a few months later i had to spend some btcs, i tried entering my password, it gave me an error, spent almost half an hour entering the password nothing happened, also i was very calm during the process, which helped me during my recovery. So after failing, i decided to use the seed of my custom wallet, it did recover but it empty, at this point it was clear to me that I had messed up big time.

Anyway i went to app data and found two wallets, the default one which had received all the payments and my custom wallet, i spent the next hour or so trying every password i had saved, but it did not work! I had almost given up my hope but then i thought maybe i did save the default wallet's seed and started going through all text files i had on my pc, i searched my hard drives one by one manually and didn't find any seed, after spending like 5 hours, i finished my hunt, the only part remaining was my desktop location, which too had too many text files.

There was one file sitting there named, new text document and it had the seed in it. Fortunately to me it was the one, this has been a life changing experience for me, and it's a lesson for newbies to pay proper attention when they use electrum.

TL:DR

Always make sure the wallet name is the correct one when using electrum.
1207  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum-ltc 2.8.3.5 incorrect password on: August 22, 2017, 06:25:07 PM
Did you give a custom name to your wallet by any chance back when you created it? Looks like you created a default wallet first and then encrypted it, afterwards you made a new wallet with a custom name. what happened was, when you were using electrum, electrum was using the "default wallet" to receive your litecoins but you thought you were receiving them on the custom wallet which you created. Do you have the seed of the "default wallet" which was created on the first launch by any chance? If you don't you may say goodbye to your litecoins. But if you do have the seed, just enter that seed of the "default wallet" and it will hopefully recover your litecoins. Good luck!

P.S Also try running a Virtual machine and run electrum there and see if you get any success.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7h on Blockchain no single approve? on: August 22, 2017, 05:25:12 PM
The mempool have around 95k transactions in it, it's currently being spammed, so that's why its taking long, i don't see any problem with your transaction, maybe except for a little low transaction fee, but it should get through in a day or 2,you can also try the transaction accelerator to speed it up even further.
1209  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Should I start own exchange website? on: August 22, 2017, 04:51:48 PM
Well starting an exchange is no easy task! The problem is if you are on a tight budget you will have to hire freelancers who will code your website, How can you trust them for not leaving behind a backdoor? Beside this, you will have to ensure the users that their coins will be safe in some way or another, Just like coinbase, which offers refunds in case they get hacked in the future. Just like Vod said, from the looks of it you don't have Computer knowledge it will be a huge challenge for you to make it run smooth. Achievable? yes, but i will recommend you to not go down this road. Better Businesses are waiting to be opened.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your dog for 100,000 usd in btc ? on: August 21, 2017, 07:54:54 PM
I was browsing youtube whole day and yesterday i came across this video " https://youtu.be/k8gP0I6DUis "
This guy was trying to buy dog from the owners and most of them refused.
Tell me what would you have done if someone has offered you 100,000$ worth in bitcoins would you sell your dog ?

I personally hate people who do this kind of business, pets especially dogs and cats, they bond with the owners, its like growing your own child for years and then selling it, you may feel satisfied with the money at first but it will then start to eat you from the inside! You will literally hate yourself for doing that. Even if someone offered me 1000 BTC the answer would have been NO!

What kind of question is that?? It has nothing to do with bitcoin, at best it is an acceptable
off-topic thread..
There is no difference between asking "would you sell your dog for 100000 usd" and
"Would you sell your dog for 100,000 usd in btc", as you can easily exchange one for
the other..  Roll Eyes

I agree. This is a off topic thread for sure.
1211  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT-2 Members, please neg on: August 21, 2017, 07:38:06 PM
Do you think in the future we will be able to prevent these sort of spam bots?
Say we can ip ban them or something like that?
Likely not. It's hard to limit spam PMs without potentially disrupting the legitimate ones from the start. In addition, it can be easy to circumvent these kinds of measures.

IP ban wouldn't work since its very easy to just change your IP or use a proxy from the start. Either way, the PM can only be sent once per 6 minutes so that does help with the rate limit. Creating account from a known proxy would also require payment.

Well in that case, why not totally disable the pms for newbie members? Only allow them to pm after they have reached the junior member rank? Bitcointalk.org is high on spammers list, i think i have received some spam in the past too, there needs to be a mechanism to prevent this.
1212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Feeling regret after (Not trading, not gambling, etc...) on: August 21, 2017, 07:20:24 PM
I have regretted selling so many of my altcoins for a rate that was below than the ICO price as well. They had been low for months but because I couldn't risk the money on the exchanges, I sold them at a low rate while now they've almost reached 5 times their original value. I lack patience which is needed when trading.

I would suggest you to invest it in ETH rather than an ICO. ETH was about $40 3-4 months back and now it's $330. With $100, you can buy atleast 0.3 ETH which would be a great investment.
ETH? Every single person now is buying ETH? will that raise its price? plus 100$ is good? or should I raise it?

Well you should never invest more than what you can afford to lose, ask yourself what amount can you spare? What happens if you invest 1000 dollars in eth and the price comes back to $40 a coin? Are You willing to take that risk with a higher amount? You will do fine with $100, just remember high risk usually returns a higher reward and vice versa, also just because you were wrong a couple of times doesn't means you won't be wrong the next time. So think it out and remember invest wisely. Smiley
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 21, 2017, 08:26:10 AM
No Surprises in the couple of past days, England and India have won their respective matches as they were expected too. WI had not a single idea how the pitch was behaving. As for Srilanka, total disappointment. They had a wonderful start but lost their way in the middle. Srilanka are playing like Pakistan used to play, Collapsing all of a sudden, They did collapse in the Champions trophy too. I think both England and India will whitewash their opponents in this series. England for sure, Srilanka may win a game by chance. But the series result is clear. Its a one way road from here.

Forum where member is allowed to troll and roast another member? I think only few people want to join this kind of forum even if you can earn money. I'd rather join local gaming forum or few sub-reddit instead.

It was one of a special request from one of our admins, but we are thinking of removing it, as you are right this will only disturb the forum's environment, thank you for your input Smiley. We will remove that section shortly.

Last forum which suppose to pay me for posting went offline.
I'll wait for someone to test it and if forum will be still active in about 3-4 moths i will visit it.

The reward will be $0.0001 per character.
What is max payment per post?

Sure thing, hopefully we will have few members who will reach the bare minimum in the next week, as for max character count, there isn't max limit yet, as we will encourage users to write in depth reviews, we may implement a max character limit if we think we can't  sustain it. Also low quality posts will be deleted sooner or later.

Thank you both for your input.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 19, 2017, 03:07:50 PM
West indies have folded as expected, 500 plus was too big to ask from a side which has board issues and lack skills required for test match cricket, the match is well over imo, England should win this quite easily.

As for India vs Srilanka, it is a different format and it's a new day for srilanka, they did defeat them in champions trophy, so the series might get closer, but Indians are the clear favorites in this series. My bets are on England and India.

1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 19, 2017, 07:36:06 AM
By $5 i meant, a single payment of $5 from faucet, not divided ones, i do understand the other part, how the wallets combine up the addresses and sends the payments. what i meant in my previous reply was Like user waits up to till his earnings reach $5 and then withdraws and spends $3 from that in that scenario it will be helpful for the user.

TLDR; just don't accept small amounts of BTC

Exactly!
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Single Input? on: August 19, 2017, 07:22:38 AM
I want to know what will happen in the following scenario.

Let's say i have 5 different addresses, all of them have single inputs, meaning they all have received one payment each. Let's say i have another address, Address "X" and i transfer all the btcs from those 5 addresses to Address "X". Will it become a single input for address "X"? Or I will still have the 5 inputs. I just want to know this because of recent fee hikes. I have many addresses with smaller denominations and want some to join up some, what's the best way of achieving this?
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 19, 2017, 06:25:47 AM
... it's highly recommended to use a new address for each transaction or wait and get a higher payout simple. But generating a new address takes less than a second, so i don't see any reason to not use a new btc address for each transaction.
Because it makes no difference. What you are suggesting will require just as many inputs when the user tries to spend the coins... like I said, it doesn't matter if you have 1 address that gets 100 payments... or you have 100 addresses that get 1 payment each.

1 address => 100x 10k sats = 100 inputs totalling 0.01 BTC in 1 address
100 addresses => 1x 10k sats each = 100 inputs totalling 0.01 BTC spread over 100 addresses

Both methods end up with 100 inputs to make a total of 0.01 BTC... if you try to send 0.01 with either method, you're going to need all 100 inputs to do so.

The point here is that you should just avoid small payments... getting a new address for each dust payment isn't going to solve the problem. Roll Eyes

hmm well that's new to me, i didn't know about that, but if the person is doing dust payments then the generating new address method be useful in my opinion. A person gets $5 from a faucet, spends $3 to buy a key etc in that case multiple address will be helpful for him, as the number of inputs will be low as compared to 1 address receiving multiple payments. But i do agree with you, most faucet scrapers usually receive tons of payments and they get stuck moving them, in that case your option is the right one. Wait and withdraw higher amounts than lower ones.
