201  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-04] The Cryptographically Provable Con Man on: May 04, 2016, 09:19:13 AM
I don't think that he's the worlds first 'Cryptographically Provable' con man I think the media, like with everything they do, have taken either a complete lie or extremely unreliable proof. For those of us in the know, we were already asking, why didn't he just sign the genesis block if he was really Satoshi Nakamoto, if it was really him he would have no problem doing that.

What a bunch of morons, you can expect though they're all just going to carry on with this farce and act as if they did nothing wrong.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 02, 2016, 10:08:08 AM
What I can't believe is even the BBC is hopping on the fucking bandwagon, just goes to show you how little these news journalists know about Bitcoin.

"He also says he can’t send any bitcoin because they are now owned by a trust. And he rejected the idea of having The Economist send him another text to sign as proof that he actually possesses these private keys, rather than simply being the first to publish a proof which was generated at some point in the past by somebody else. Either people believe him now—or they don’t, he says. “I’m not going to keep jumping through hoops.”"

I'm highly skeptical as well, there are several falsely media announced and self-announced Satoshi Nakamoto's out there, unless he is going to 'jump through the hoops' no one, particularly me will believe him unless we see him sign stuff like the genesis block.

If Bitcoin has no value, why can I buy games from steam with it? Tongue
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I bought games from steam thread on: April 30, 2016, 12:10:33 PM
So I agree there has been an awful lot of spam regarding Valve's recent Bitcoin implementation on Steam, so how about we keep all news items and posts about it located in one thread?

Just this week by the way, I successfully bought The Culling from Steam with no problems, the only thing I've found is that the bitpay links don't work because of the platform's browser.
206  Other / Off-topic / Is there a way to change the power levels of a broadband connection yourself? on: April 30, 2016, 10:54:08 AM
So thanks to some ( Polite ) rage posting on the Virgin Media forums I've finally managed to kick one of the support staff into responding and they're saying that it's something to do with the power levels or dBmV which you see in the router status. It's a long shot, but doesn't anyone here know anything about this and whether I could in fact change them myself? Because the support staff are utterly useless I don't want to have to rely on booking an engineer every time something goes wrong if it's a simple matter of changing some values or configuring something in a slightly different way.
207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islamic Fanatic Nazis - Yes, I mean Islamic religious believers. on: April 28, 2016, 05:23:09 AM
Funny isn't it? They always scream about persecution but the amount of anti-semitic crap that comes out of them is ridiculous.
208  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How many of you are anarcho-capitalist? on: April 27, 2016, 01:52:22 PM
I'm an Anarcho-Voluntaryist, you've limited your polling options too much and clearly don't know that much about Anarchism based on what you've written, Minarchism and Anarcho-Capitalism are two quite different branches of Anarchism, so is Anarcho-Voluntaryism.
209  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-04-27] Steam accepts bitcoin with BitPay on: April 27, 2016, 01:27:30 PM
Who can confirm this? It could be just another clickbait article.

OH FUCK! IT'S REAL! I SEE IT ON MY PAYMENT METHODS!!!! FUCK YES!!!
210  Other / Politics & Society / Suspend Social Justice Courses - Change.org Petition on: April 26, 2016, 08:51:39 AM
https://www.change.org/p/universities-suspend-social-justice-in-universities

So the topic of SJWs has come up a lot lately in Anarchist circles. I can totally understand not wanting to put your real name down if you value privacy. However for those that don't give a shit and want to send a message to the SJW professors that their bullshit won't be tolerated anymore there's this petition that a guy called Sargon of Akkad has put up, he is a youtuber who has regularly spoken out against and criticised the social justice bullshit.
211  Economy / Goods / Re: The Rabbit And The Moon - New gameplay video - 23rd April 2016 on: April 23, 2016, 05:05:50 PM
Very, very close to finishing now guys! I'm looking at maybe adding in some physics traps and such to make the game more challenging and of course I need to put my new animations in, then there's a bit of coding to fix but it's so almost there now.

212  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-03-25]Venezuelan Government Launches Anti-Bitcoin Campaign on: April 23, 2016, 03:12:50 PM
Let me guess, you're going to tell us you're from Venezula and it's all propaganda? Because, you know, that's how it always works in Venezula? it's someone elses fault? Tongue
213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2 Years After Boko Haram Kidnapping, the Search Goes On for Nigerian Girls on: April 23, 2016, 10:11:48 AM
There is something about Islam that breeds hate in its followers.

It's all in the texts, in the Qu'ran, because they never experience people who diagree with them or have different beliefs many of these people who grow up in middle eastern countries in particular are being taught by fanatical Imams, the same goes for western countries with Muslims who are living in segregated ghettos. This is one of the main reasons why they lose their shit so easily when somebody in the west criticises their religion, genuinely intergrated secularist Muslims wouldn't really give a damn which is why for instance you don't hear about anyone from Kurdistan trying to blow people up for insulting Mohammed and so on.

Then of course, because they at least understand how identity politics work, they scream about how it's they that are the victims and it's the evil racist white people trying to pesecute them that's the problem.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At no time does Valve receive or hold bitcoin, pay us in traditional currency on: April 22, 2016, 12:27:51 PM
I was wondering how this would affect the steam greenlight program? Will they still pay developers in their local currency or can you opt to take profits only in Bitcoin? Because I of course will be looking at getting my game onto Steam at some point and was wondering about this when I saw the announcement.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins in Steam coming soon... on: April 21, 2016, 10:57:41 PM
It's starting to pop up on other game sites, things are starting to look more legitimate now, but I'm not holding my breath until I see a Bitcoin logo in the payment methods list as usual with this sort of thing.

216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Child brides sometimes tolerated in Nordic asylum centers despite bans on: April 21, 2016, 10:31:34 PM
We seriously need to fight this as much as possible, any migrants who come to our countries that try and do this bullshit deport them immediately. There should be no tolerance for crap like this and the biggest problem as with most of this stuff though are the scumbags who enable them.

Do not give an inch of ground to anyone that thinks they can pull this shit in western countries.
217  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Belgium: Moslems Celebrated Brussels Attacks on: April 21, 2016, 08:34:37 PM
I'm 'offended' ( no not really ) because it's retards like you that will go on about how horrible the DailyStormer ( and I actually agree it is a pretty bad website ) while in the same conversation you'll inevitably praise news outlets like the BBC and the Guardian completely ignoring any of the biases they have when reporting on certain issues. If you're just going to carry it on then I won't bother because I've already said, real researchers look at the data and evidence provided by either side, they don't get suckered into their political rhetoric or the opinions of the news journalists that are constantly inserted into every article they write nowadays.

How can you call some one a retard and then agree with them in the same sentence? Grin

If some one hypothetically hands out a racist flyer on the streets its seen as a hate crime in most areas.
Why does linking to a racist website not hold the same weight? Now thats a interesting dynamic!

I think that BaDecker is nothing more than a deranged religious fanatic, but we've both agreed with each other about freedom of speech and how important it is, it's called Democracy. This is my point though about why that guy is a retard, he's basing his opinions on who the other people are, rather than fact checking their sources.

For instance, I don't agree with Bill Maher on anything when it comes to his politics and think he's full of shit on a lot of things except when it comes to stuff like Islam and free speech, on that, he's 100% accurate and he brings all sorts of experts along to talk about it.
218  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are babies a well judgment of character? on: April 20, 2016, 10:48:18 PM
Toddlers are humans you know, small, irritating, loud and squirming humans, but still humans, could be the girl was just being a bitch and just wanted to behave that way that day Tongue I don't think that babies and toddlers have that much self-awareness that they can pick up so easily on behaviour, when they get a bit later on towards the teens though they certainly can.

I look at multiple perspectives and make my own mind up, because that's what news outlets are, they're perspectives and the fact that you've immediately assumed a news site as 'bigoted' just because of who it's by makes you a moron and you're not as clever as you think.

Yes, I'm aware of the content of the dailystormer, but this is why like an intelligent person instead of just writing it off you investigate other sources to see if their claims are true.

You fill your head with garbage and you get what you get. With your reasoning you should be reading Salon and TMZ for your news as well!

And who are you to decide what's accurate information and what's not? Oh, that's right, you don't, like I said, you go and find out confirmation of what's being said instead of just reading from one news source and blindly believing it all, because the truth is always backed up by facts, empirical data and historical evidence.
