I have alot of those Rosville quarks they are pretty good, to each his own , at least the antminer psus are tried and tested, heck they are used on antminer s9 which pull as much as 1300 watt some times but delivery lead times are long. Its the cheap no name ebay /amazon psu's Id never trust my gear with /shrug but Im fudding though  |

Why ? becuases its cheap no name and if it catches on fire you risk voiding all the RMA's on your motherboard and pricy asics or GPU's why use use a cheap non branded not even rated PSU on a rig that costs you over 3k in some cases for other parts, I can't imagine why i'd want to use at least a gold rated , server grade quality tried true and tested PSU vs that hmm   Because here we are using cheap Chinese make motherboards and these cheap Chinese made PSU sometimes are better alternative than Expensive Chinese made branded PSUs ok. And this thread is meant for experimenting, if you want everything put in front of you premade then shuuuuuu go to Bitmain Site and buy yourself there GPU miners. For your second argument first we are the ones who are putting over 3000$ worth of GPUs on a cheap 100$ motherboards not you, if it would be a success than people like you will benefit from it or it's vise versa than it's our loss not yours......shuuuu this thread is not meant for you shuuuu... lol experimenting with a cheap psu on an expensive gpu build ? ok bro good luck with that, when your rig explodes and waranty is refused what will you do then. Cheap motherboards? are we reading the same thread, none of these specialized mining boards are anything close to cheap , where are you getting this from lol p.s just becuase something works does not mean its a good idea, Ive had evga 1000 psus burn out pci-e connections with alarming regularity to the point i gave up on dual mining, at least they were well designed and only the pherephial 8pin slots were burned out and with 10 year rma idgaf i just sent those toasters back for new ones yeah those no name junk brand psus might work for u for a while but theres such a thing call risk reward .. google it |

I run like 30 rigs outside a case, its not ideal but as long as u have airflow and exhuast its less of a hassle
its not like s9 and other asics have cases and those work fine

Gone in 3 minutes maybe I'm just old and have already too much equipment and am jaded as heck but really...this batch size and this batch delivery and what 4 batches before yet in the wind to be delivered yet? I really, really can't see how even with a modest price pump back to 75 bucks for LTC a way for these to ROI after electric in less than 14 months maybe anyway, again old fart for crypto (2013) maybe I'm just missing something or everyone 'just knows' the price of scrypt pow coins are gonna moon but damn $2,280 bucks for a miner.... I suppose all will be fine if it was say LTC at 100 bucks..but why take the risk on the pump with equip? just get coins? Yeah I have ideas for both boards. The 8 slot board looks really good for nvidia. You can put a 16 gb ram stick in it. You can use an i7 CPU in it. And you can water cool it. I think it could do 8 1080 ti water block cards LOL.... my guy in China says... the board just announced a few days ago. 8 1080tis powered by 2 x 2400 Delta PSU gives you 12x2=24 PCIE connectors You need 1 psu 4800w IBM server PSU ? you need 8 plus 8 =16 for the board. 8pin x 2 for the GPU (assume Y cable) 8 plus 8 plus 8 = 24 x 6pin to terminate at the BB. If some GPU's drop alot of power from those PCI-e slots , frying one of those could potentially kill the whole board. i have a little question, what are you think about profit with D3 Miner in december ? now we can mine 4k$ per mouth, but when the second batch and third batch come in the network how much you think we can mine per mounth ? the difficulty can up too much like ethereum ?

I still don't know. Haven't forgotten their actions on Giant+ miner. And this deal seems to good to be true. Common sense dictates that if a deal seems to good to be true, it mostly is.
So what you think they are scamming us now? I dont see how this is too good to be true, they are still at ~1200 D3 is 16g vs thier 10 , even though it can mine two other algos , but it cant mine as many as the giant can or even the cubes so its probably more in developmwnt and might need more updates etc $1200 for 10gh is inline with what bitmain is charging $1600 for 15gh |

just got the third 1080 water cooled gpu this board is running 3x 1080 ti's 1x ryzen 1800x https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3lenden and the 7500t are two other cpus running xmr both most of the earnings are from the x370 board. while I am easy over energy i.e. 600 watts is 15 kwatts a day or 3 usd a day at my summer rates of 20 cents I earn about 8 so 8-3 = 5 bucks a day so the time has come to stop buying gear. in 1 month my power bill will drop in ½ so 8-1.50 = 6.50 a day which means very tight margins for now. I remember when i started with this mining thing, early this may, i was having those same numbers ($6-7 a day) and it was just with two gtx 1070 only.  by the way, how come does your electric bill get dropped by a half after summer? Here in mexico it works the other way around, summer rates comes with a big discount so you can turn on your ac without hurting your pocket.. i guess you dont have this infernal south baja summer okay true rate summer = 16.7 I add ac cost bump to 20.0 as my ac runs more due to summer mining. winter = 12.7 I subtract heat saved lower to 10.0 as my furnace runs less due to winter mining. so it is 12.7 to 16.7 but my adjustments 10 to 20 cents a kwatt are accurate. USA tends to bill higher in the summer lower in the winter in many places of the country. This summer was the first summer I could run cards the whole summer and make money since 2013 I now have 18 1080 ti's and 1 1070 and I won't be doing much for a while. cards still turn a profit and are paid off but buying has to stop. here in mn its summer = 22 or so, true rate with taxes and fees an this is without AC winter = 12 -13 on average true rate. I recently added a 600amp serice to my garage with demand type business service and its much much cheaper even summer rate came to only .10 true rate after taxes and fees, you alse get discounts for the more power you use. I imagine in winter ill have a true 5 to 7 cents rate , my only problem being I need to install some sort of exhaust system in the garage so i can move all my rigs from the basement to the garage. if you can swing it look into a business class demand service , the rates are far far cheaper than resedential What did they charge you to have that installed? The electric company only charged for the city permit $200 or so since they had to drop and new transformer for the overhead service, I paid 15k though to ghet 600amp service installed by a certified electician but that included 15 220v outlets and 4 20amp outlets, new lights etc |

Only thing we can do is pray. Only 1 life jacket in the house, who gets it? L3 or 1080TI?
flood insurance will pay for all your losses not If they don't have flood insurance, which is seprate from normal insurance which doesn't usually cover floods or flooding, also knowing that only 12 percent of people in texas in and around the affected areas have flood insurance. chances are if his house flooded he may not get squat back because flooding wasn't covered I want to say max flood insurance payout is like $250k for house(structure - maybe more if he had it registered as a business) and maybe $100k for appliances. Not sure where he is but if it was the SW side or Kingwood area he may be in a world of hurt. Spent most of this week in Kingwood helping clean up a co-workers house. Sad stuff 250k only ? that wont even cover most house structures, that cant be right |
