Lots of cards starting to pop up online second hand!
Still outrageously priced, but i'm sure there will be some bargains soon.
give it a few more weeks, I warned all those fools paying tripple retail price it was a bad idea
few people listened.  The longer this blood bath lasts the worse it gets for idiots who paid $900 for a 1070
and $700 for 580s 🤦🏿‍♂️

Or $1300+ for a GTX 1080 Ti.... I sort of feel bad for them, but mostly for their families in the cases of people maxing out credit cards or taking loans thinking they could get rich quick without taking a peak at how history repeats itself over and over.

I blame all the utubers "How to make $15 a day mining on one gtx 1080 TI!! Print your own monies!"

I am glad I did not buy the expensive GTX 1080Ti. I think I can buy them for below $800 in a few weeks.

Keep dreaming lol... if this last huge drop wasn't enough to kill the GPU gouging market, not sure it will end any time soon... and overall market if already back up about 40% from the bottom a few days ago.  Yes, there is more supply hitting the market now but even the ones that are "only" marked up $100-$150 (newegg & amazon) are gone instantly. The only ones i've seen stick available for more than 1-2 minutes are the $730-ish 1070ti's that came in at B&H. Sorry jokers, Im not paying nearly 50% above retail from a MF'ing retailer lol!  but clearly a lot of people are. Dare I say those cards will never ROI?  Or maybe in 1+ years IF the market really skyrockets again... a lot of ifs.

yeah $550 is my max for a 1070 or 107ti , $350 max for an RX 580 8GB

until prices drop to those levels ill just hold my coins and wait for the next pump

I found  some decent fully built gaming deals.

2 card rx 580  for 1313 plus tax
2 card 1080ti for 2200  plus tax

both have i7 8700
thats still too high for me, plus Im stuck with gaming box ram and cpu etc
Ill wait till volta is released and maybe have some friends pic up some cards locally for me

Getting lots of rejected XVG shares on unimining, whereas zpool worked perfect for an entire day. Not sure why people are saying zpool takes significant exchange fees, just don't set a BTC wallet, set a XVG wallet. You mine XVG and they pay you in XVG.

Uming pool was fine for a few hours now Im getting mad rejects I guess zpool it is

I was just informed that Nvidia is banning the sale of P104s to the US.  Anyone else here about this?

No surprise here, they found that they cannot use that 3 month warranty in the US and EU

its basically against consumer laws here to provide such a flimsy warranty, on top of that its different from the warranty of thier

other consumer parts. Duh Their lawyers should have told them this before hand dummies
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant-B on: February 08, 2018, 03:14:41 AM
Waiting for price drop....or samsung.... LOL
Seriously, Baikal are getting way greedy nowadays...

Baikals are very profitable because they are rare unique and they use little power but that could be changing as they push up production .
http://www.idownloadblog.com/2017/12/22/samsung-baikal-bitcoin/

Eventually giant b will only be decently profitable on lbry pascal and one of the blake 256 algos, which ever coins are on that. Fingers crossed others dont bring out asics just for those.
baikal isnt russian

Yeah those are onda mobos plus cases that are on alibaba. Really nice cases with overkill 3700rpm fans. Keeps my 1070ti minis at 60 degrees.
That shirt will be drying very very quickly, that's for sure! Cheesy

How much are you paying in rent for this type of room, if you don't mind sharing? How many rigs will you stack in there?

54 rigs will be stacked there, 432 cards. 88x 1050ti are coming which takes up 11 rig space. The remaining space can be filled with 150-180W tdp gpu rigs like 1070tis.

Rent is $250 USD a month.

The fans are so powerful that the clothing rack will topple over! I wish the rig cases have the option of fans between 2000-3000rpm.
i'm curious though how do you deal with noise and attention, with the spate of break ins do you employ some sort of noise dampening or reduction to bring down the overall noise and attention from the fans ?

noise is an issue for me too, but i have cameras and and alarm system clearly visible

i do intend to install sound proofing on my garage door

can people in here post which pool you are mining to, and what your last 24-hour result has been for a single Antminer A3 ?

I have been mining Luxor Pool for 2 days, and have a payoput thus far of 2500+ siacoin, BUT it says there is a 24 hour ramp-up period, so i have no idea exactly how much of that has been int he last 24 hours...

I'm curious to compare the payouts of the various sicoin pools for the last 24 hour period

You would probably have made ~double that on siamining . .but don't just take my word for it

https://[Suspicious link removed]/S3o5Yz
wow...you're already made ROI of your A3..
do you overclock your A3? to what rate?
why do you think siaming pays more though it was the same as luxor
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer A3 earning $500 a day mining SIAcoin . .WHAT?! Results & Stats on: February 02, 2018, 10:00:54 AM
Guys can we stop the miner FUD?

Global hashrate is around 8P right now, which means there were roughly 10K A3's released in batch one. Block time is still around 20 min's, this has been decreasing and will hit 10 min soon. Right now profitability is near 1300SC/day which should be near 2600SC/day when the block time corrects in a few days time.

Until batch 2, 2600SC/day should be stable. If batch 2 is also near 10K units this will halve to 1300SC/day which is still $30 ish per day at current price. If batch 2 is 20K units then we should be seeing around 650SC/day or $15 ish/day at current price.

So the only way batch 2 stands to not be profitable is if there is a major crash in sia price or more than 20K units are shipped. Is it the $600/day that people were getting on day one, no. But it will still likely be one of Bitmain's most profitable miners until batch 3.
I wish i could trust your calcs i would buy two more units. but idk
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: February 02, 2018, 09:37:58 AM
Surprisingly the Difficulty went down from almost 12M , down to 7.9M

Earnings are up from 1.17 SC/day per Gh , to 1.70 SC/day per Gh.
(unfortunately SC Value got crashed along with all other cryptos and is now only like 0.025 , own from 0.4 just a few days ago.

I think its all the dual miners exiting
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.5d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: February 02, 2018, 09:35:13 AM
If you really want to make your fee lower than claymore and increase the fees you receive i'd suggest running your dev fee less often but for longer. Claymore runs his every hour.. it takes a minute for a system with a lot of gpus to spin them all up making that 30-70 seconds less effective because 10+ seconds its spinning the cards up.. then when it cuts off i have to wait for my cards to spin up to start mining again. It makes his 1% fee a lot larger than 1% an produces less for him. If you ran your fee like once every 4-6 hours instead of every 90 minutes but you ran it for an equivalent time relative to the 90 min dev fee.. we'd all make more long term. You might end up with some of the gamer miners trying to cut the fee but the people running a lot of cards 24/7 won't. Since you're not spinning up all the large farms over n over again for a short burst an instead mined for a 1-2 minutes you'd probably pull more in fees and we'd pay less due to downtime switching to dev pools. Win win for everyone.

dev fee keeps crashing my rigs , stopped using it
1214  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: February 02, 2018, 08:56:20 AM
crypto is so cheap across thi board Im really suprised to see people buying new heaters ??!
for $2100 you couks buy a whole bunch of altcoins and just wait a few months for a double or tripple and thats just getting back to early jan prices.

Same with the A3 , $980 would buy 40k sia , which an A3 in march mining even 100 sia a day would take a year to mine.

I swearz somtimes ppl here make no sense.  Lol

Not that cheap.  But yeah some ASICS it makes no real sense to buy.  One can always just mine and accumulate without effort, then sell at the next big pump.
Anyways a T9+ ? for 2000usd...please.  They need to adjust to previous prices..before they doubled ?  And the next generation of miners is probably sooner than we think too.

id not pay more that $800 for a t9 and no more that 1400 for a bimain can get wacked
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: February 02, 2018, 03:11:00 AM
With the diff is increasing day by day, the profit is decreased up to 20% / month , and you will get few dollar / day
the difficulty is way down -it must be part of the '10 minute block' adjusting still... thats good

Yeah, I'm just hoping the price will recover. It's a crypto graveyard out there... Undecided
....and this is the time to buy. All crypto are now resting near their massive breakout ( read huge support) point of 6 months ago. I'm buying everything I can handle right now. Sia at .028, BTC at 8,550.00 all the way down to 7500 BCH, ETH etc etc. This is the opportunity of the year. Even if it's just a short covering rally, these assets are going to have a "rip your face off rally" in the near future. The lower they go the more I buy. I haven't held a single coin from my mining since BTC went over 14k. I could very easily see that all the stunned sheep like idiots were piling in. Time  to bleed little sheep. Their scattered all over the landscape. Maybe a few more to slaughter then the smart money will take their fire sale positions for a ride. Been waiting so long for this cleansing. It's the best thing to happen in Crypto in a LONG time.

yup i get my weekly block of eth tomrow and Im selling it to to buy as much of the smaller cryptos i have can

jesus eth hash rate went up by another 40TH yesteday , so much for cards being in short supply

You realise that this is miners shifting to ETH right?
Because ETH held up better than other mining currencies over the last few days.

There were not 40TH in new hardware turned on  Roll Eyes
That's a million 1070's
lol I supposed but eth will drop soon too just like every other coin
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Impossible to Buy GPUS on: February 01, 2018, 11:00:47 PM
Why would one buy gpus right now with eth pow ending and the new generation of cards coming out, just buy btc instead...
no one knows when eth pow will end stop with that bs

The new gen of nivida cards and the stupid inflated prices of the current cardss is why im not buying

im buying crypto atm

Hoard you sia, trust. It will reach 10 cents, at which point A3 mining will have been massively profitable for those who held their coins.

selling at 10 cents would be bad, .30 cents minimum
