Most profitable right now is bitcoinz, problem is that there is no liquidity in the market so you are unable to sell those 12,500 coins mined every 2.5 mins. LOL
btg is the best by far, 27mhs of 1080s im making 1.05 btg a day around 160 usd

you need to look at the coins a little better if you think this is the best coin to mine.
by far it is and btg is due for a big pump soon
1662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH switch to PoS will kill GPU mining but everybody seems pretty relaxed on: November 19, 2017, 08:11:51 AM
There are, have been, and always (?) will be profitable coins to mine. You seem to think everyone with a GPU mines on ETHash. Many people have already jumped off that ship into other algorithms!

They won't be profitable any longer after the enormous gpu mining power jumps from ETH to other coins. That will create a massive explosion in difficulties for all coins. Thats the main point here.

I still feel like we are not on the page here, guys. It's not about the fate of ETH, it's about mining power and difficulty of all altcoins.

It's also gonna loss its value and it is gonna go to the other alts so the other alts are gonna pump so you better are buying altcoins than mining equipment

yeah these scared lemmings make me laugh, crypo and altcoins are still in infant stages, you remove eth and btc and we have only around 60 billion in market cap or less, thats pocket change, tons of coins are due for huge pumps in the next few years even if eth fails

1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining cryptocurrency still is a good idea? on: November 19, 2017, 07:55:31 AM
I got back in around February... and have slowly built up my farm since then.

Right now I am actively using ~$57k in hardware producing ~$6-7k a month predictable revenue (with power cost around $700-800 or so of that).

That is not bad at all, IMHO... There have been times along the way that I have made a higher % of the active hardware per month.

I expect to be 100% paid off in hardware by February or so 2018 including the addition $15k in hardware I will be taking online between now and December.

And I am sitting on a ton of GPUs & other hardware with decent resale value (even if all my coins go to $0)... I haven't bought any "mining specific" hardware so I can re-sell the systems as well pretty readily as well even after I sell the GPUs.

I use ZPOOL with NEMOSMINER to profit switch... there is SO much more out there than just ETH, Zcash, Etc.

IMHO... if you aren't married to mining just a few things you can do quite well still.
60k worth of gpu hardware you should be making at least 10k a month
1665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL Giant X10 brief introduction --first batch start delivery today 15th on: November 19, 2017, 06:42:44 AM
Hai Baikal!

I have received the miner on 17th Nov-17. Right now im using it to mine digibyte coin.
Thanks a lot for the fast delivery and happy with it now.

Currently mining digibyte with power consumption at 155 Watt. Very cheap electricity consumed!!
Feel free to PM me if need the evidence photo of my X10.

Hope the profitability not dropping so much when the december batch arrived soon!!

I Love Baikal Product seriously.

Thanks!!

wait how could you have been the first to receive , no one has received tracking number
1666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH switch to PoS will kill GPU mining but everybody seems pretty relaxed on: November 19, 2017, 06:39:23 AM
POS= piece of shit

No pos coin does well.

Just put your money in US bond.

ETH SWITCHING will kill the coin.  They will drag it out longer and xmr  zec and btg will take over and replace it and I used and a lot in this sentence  Grin

i AGREE they already lost alot of hash rate and momentum with thier last fork/payout reduction  .. if you notice the ETH hashrate has actually gone down  the last few months bascially flat

they go POS they will probbaly die IMO too

Baikal and asicminermarket looks like they're mining with them until profitability is low enough to keep the rest of us from making any real gains.

LAST TIME I purchase anything from these crooks.  They sold it when you would get $500 per day.  Then as soon as they sold out, profitability has gone down to $90 per day.  And they're late on shipment.

Then these guys just posted a video basically showing us all that they're mining with the very miners that's suppose to be shipped out.  So they sell it for over 2x the price and they mine the crap out of them until profitability is shot.

Shitty deal for everyone else who's getting them in December/January.

Looks like it'll go the way of the D3.

Better wait for the s9 or just take your investment and buy crypto.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fc2037u448

Watch the video.  These guys were actually stupid enough to actually post the miners mining.  After they sold all of them, they unpacked them and started mining with them.  That's why NO ONE HAS A F'N tracking number.

All these companies do this, which is why i never buy batch 1 , what a joke they basically killed the profitablity of the first batch and stole customers money shame on you baikal, I bet if you look at the way
bill you will see them being shipped from the Asicminermarket location.  Book it

Got this 9 slot + 1 compute PCI working with smOS/EWBF/200core/1400mem/PL 120 powered by 2400w Delta server PSU
With 1 x 1070ti with PL 120, draws 172watts so that whole PCI base compute card eats about 50w.
All 8 cards in ~ 1070watts.

This will be for the Zotac 1070ti Mini x 8 project.

I will continue to populate all 8 onto this mobo and see how it runs.

Its past midnight here and will finetune the clocks tomorrow morning.
Looks like this 1070ti can run 550 sol/s with the right clocks and power.
I will need to bring this board to the farm and let it rock.
I cant experiment higher watts in my workbench area.

Note: The 8 slot Colorful B250 board is still missing the custom male-to-male 4pin GPU cable. The seller has agreed to send them for free  Grin and I just pay for shipping. I may standardize on the Colorful board for the farm because it will be fully powered with Delta server PSU too - and I can have my choice of CPU.

The 9 board mobo has a PCI based compute board (builtin kaby-lake CPU with 4gb DDR4 Sodimm all in), its very small form factor ... the upside to this board is that its plug and play with NVIDIA cards (No changes in BIOS) but I dont know why it didnt post with AMD cards. So this VS the Colorful B250 mobo without CPU, DDR4.... it may come to the same price.

do you have a link to your seller on the colorful board? Im intersted in trying out a few of those as well
1670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 18, 2017, 10:28:58 AM
I got the one board working with 6 nanos , temps are higer than risers though due to the closeness of the cards
like 10-20 degrees warmer than with risers due to what I think is the spacing between cards you can acomplish with risers

still though Im so sick of risers ,  maybe with cooler runing cards like 1070s this build would work best

1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 18, 2017, 08:30:32 AM
Got my Onda D8P to post.  Not sure if I needed to connect all the Sata and Molex connectors for my quick smoke test, but decided to do it anyway.  I ran a dedicated Perif/Sata cable to each plug, using up all 6 plugs on my EVGA 1200 P2. Smiley

And I was greeted with a blast from the past good olde AMI BIOS:

I looked through the BIOS settings and I'm not sure what, if anything, needs tweaking before throwing some GPU's on this thing.

I'm running a G3930 CPU and a DDR4 SODIMM.  It it will take DDR3 as well, that's great as I can probably pull some from one of my older laptops.

Next up will be booting from a SSD with nvOC installed and throw a 1050Ti on it to see if it will mine at the default BIOS settings.

I hooked up my board with a kaby lake i7 7700 and ddr 4 8gb,  the board powers up and cpu fan spins but no post screen, connected gpu fans do not spin either, everthung else is hooked up like in the above pic

is this board not compatible with kaby lake proccesors? eveb my older boards work with these they are all 1151 chips
looks  like one of the boards was a lemon it wont post tried a diffeent psu , proccessor etc no dice

other one seems to be working fine , firmware on these are strange though windows installs with a grey screen instead of the normal blue and eveb after that windows is black an white?

@phill Ill need to return the bad board, you should let your supplier know on the next order we will need a replacement

Storx, ask them for a business name and license/ID that they are accusing you of having...

For all they are concerned, it could be a hobby......

Its all a farse though.... They are not keen on actually having to pay out anytime... and since this is a high dollar item... they are going to try twice as hard to weasel out of covering you.

If it was bought on company money, from a business account linked to said business they accuse you of having... then they may be onto something....   But, again... burden of proof.

Its sad that you may have to sue them over it.   But apparently its the new "all-american way" of getting money easily.....  Instead of doing XXX for quick cash, its now suing people instead.
man this makes me think my small farm in my garage and basement could have the same issue
i have a 100k home onwrs policly but i bought most of my gear under my buisness name.

that zoning thing is bs, where the location. is should have no bearing on insurance as long as it covers your loss wtf

Phillip,

Dont worry about me with the colorful board, im awaiting my memory still to test my D1800, also im not buying any GPU's yet tell i get my insurance stuff settled.... I had to hire a lawyer to go after my own insurance for $68,000 worth of GPU's that the hurricane took out.

omg tell us how this works for you why doesnt insurance want to pay for the gpus?
did you predeclare the  valuecand have invoices recipts and pictures of the damage

Got back from doctor about ready to open the box of 10 mobos.

here is a box of ten  I will be contacting people  on the list about these tonight.

Hey Phil...can you do me a small favor and measure how wide these boards are please.
I'm really curious if they will fit into a 4U rack mount case Cheesy

no  they are 21 inches.

I have some pm requests  I will list them later today.

thanks for the fast shipping im so sick of risers right now

I moved my 25k sola of nivida from nicehash to suprnova , nice hash pays less atm by almost tripple

@phill can you send a close picture of how you have this board hooked up ? Im still confused as to all the sata ports
1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 14, 2017, 04:01:38 PM
Just ordered myself one of these:

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/100-Brand-New-for-Onda-D1800-BTC-Mining-Machine-Mining-Motherboard-Support-6-cards-All-Solid/2673083_32829766277.html

At $132 with GPU included and no need for risers, it was too good to pass on!

I intend to slap 6x Vega 56 on it.

Can someone tell me how loud these buggers are? I need to think logistically now... Tongue

Very nice motherboard choice you picked right there. Talk about cost and power savings.
Did you ever get to order and use this? Interested to know how its working for you.
I'll tell you all about it... in a year or so, when I have managed to get all the Vega 56's I'm slapping on to hash at full speed... Tongue
id only do liquid cooled vegas on that board, the slots are too close
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 14, 2017, 10:26:38 AM

Yeah I tend to agree with that last statement citronik... but one new-ish wrinkle is Electroneum. Right now it is 2x more profitable to mine than XMR...

a note of caution...these are theoretical numbers because ETN is only trading on ONE exchange (Cryptopia or something-never heard about it before) PLUS it is not even fully released yet PLUS the CEO is not a technical guy, who keeps talking about hackers and how they were swooning on him.

Anyway, my biggest beef with etn is that none of the pools are able to stand straight for several days. They keep popping in and out for at least several hours at the time. The french one was out during at least part of the weekend, for example; now I don't see the hashparty, etc, etc.

yes - wasted a whole day of hash yesterday - BTG and ETN while good for miners since its GPU mine-able -- I think they need to get their act together - pools are shiatzs - dont get me started on the wallets.... go download the ETN one on Playstore or Appstore.... its non existent - LOL why launch if there is no official wallet?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.electroneum.app
...

what do you mean no wallet lol?  they have an excellent paper wallet that you create by moving your mouse around then you get a bright and shiny PDF with your #s lol.  Joking of course... I do agree it certainly wasn't a seemless launch but we'll see what happens. I really just wanted to a change up to the $20/day for the last 2 months.  May get burned if ETN blows up but to me the possible upside is worth the minor risk of not mining $20 of XMR per day. Time will tell.

Yeah, I did the paper wallet PDF thing and also another ETN address from Coinomi.... but after reading more on ETN, their crown jewels is the mobile wallet, mobile mining etc.... but dang the product is not even out yet. And yet mining has started? Something is amiss here.
Just use the one on github: https://github.com/electroneum/electroneum/releases
Old skool console-based daemon + wallet, but works like a charm.

pool.electroneum.space still working as it should this morning, been accumulating coins nicely since last night.

@nsummy: have you tried cpu-mining from that wallet? It definitely puts my CPU to work when I use the command start_mining, but I haven't yet figured out how to have it display the hashrate...
cool ill try that pool tonorow, whatminer are you using for  Amd cards btw
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 14, 2017, 06:29:23 AM
whats a good pool for electroneum ? I want to move my vegas to it
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 13, 2017, 04:18:28 PM
Must be a typo. My 1080's do 550 sol/s @ 80% TDP.

Bottomline is that for almost the same price,
Vega56 (IF it works...) does massively better than 1070's on Cryptonight
Vega56 does better than 1070 on ethash
Vega56 does better than 1070 on equihash
nVidia is about to get pwned on Myr-Groestl and Skein by Baikal (arguably there'll be more in the future) hash.

For me, that's enough algos and coins to favour Vega. Trust me, I would prefer to go for an nVidia build (they're a lot nicer to deal with), but the 1070's are too weak and the 1070Ti's are just more efficient, they hardly add a lot of dollar per day. Even a rig of 1080Ti's will not match the equivalent Vega56 rig if you feed it Cryptonight to munch on currently...

I have managed 1070s Zotac Minis 550sols/s -- however during testing because I was playing around with the PL and clock speed after reading a post on overclocking 1070 especially the Zotac ones. Currently at normal optimum settings around 430-440 sol/s at NH/Equihash.

I have a 111 sol/s NH rental mining BTG at Suprnova. Pools est 111k sol/s gives 3.8 coins per day.
If the price stay above 200$, i think this is worth mining for long term. Also Suprnova seems on top of things while the rest of the BTG pools literally crashed and burned just managing the incoming Equihash traffic. Hope they will be more reliable pools in the future with anonymous mining features.

Btw..... I have 10 x X10s coming soon -- no haters plz -- I cant control what my group wants to mine..... these miners are coming to the warehouse in Dec. With this said.... we have decided to forgo a plan to have a Cryptonite farm with Vega56. We have already got a quote from Sapphire distributor to supply 140 x Vega54. Frankly, I objected to the plan and wanted a 1070ti farm instead for BTG mining. Anyways, long story short.... the compromise was the X10. And in protest.... I purchased my own 1070tis.

I ordered 2 X10s as well wish i could have ordered more, but I'm not ordering any more until i get the first set and see that they work as advertised.  1070tis are probbaly the best card mining BTG and I prefer to mine BTG going forward as compared to ETH since
ETH ends anyways and the block reward nerf.  I think BTG is the new main stream coin that we will be looking to , Vegas mine it very well too but they are a pain the set up.

If i make a nice chunk next few weeks with my 50k rented sols I'll buy some 1070tis as well to focus on BTG and some more X10s , I also have alot of other asics coming 4 trashcan D3s and 5 s9s so I'm tapped out  anyways going forward.
I will focus on BTG going forward though with VEGAs and 1070Tis
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Bitcoin Gold? on: November 13, 2017, 02:33:57 PM
the total hash is already too high for a decent profit? Network Hashrate 93.57 MSol/s now

where are all these SOLs comming from ? no other  equihash coin has dropped hash rate to correspond with the BTG fork i dont get it
