1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: January 17, 2018, 08:40:19 PM
SO the wierd issue with my hash rate on all 4 vega cards seems to be the one card as you can see is turned off

how does the issue of one card affect the two vega 56 and the frontier edit ?

Basically if that third card is on the rest , when it throttles down to 30 mhs and sits there, the rest of the cards go down too to 36 ish
same thing on cryptonight.  It stays at 1600 and pulls the rest of the cards down from 1900 to 1800
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.3: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: January 17, 2018, 08:02:18 PM

Ive dual mined beofre yeah , mild OC on the cards but they are only a few months old

I'm talking about memory overclocks.

You said 29.8MH/s. You need to overclock quite high to get that, not a "mild" overclock. Plus just a few months dual mining could have your cards start working weird.

29 mhs is a standard 2000 mem oc for rx cards its nothing out of the ordinary
core and temps are low and cards are undervolted as well, I dont see how dual mining can have the cards
‘looking’ wierd as you say , I dont think they are taxed that much
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.3: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: January 17, 2018, 07:31:50 PM

nothing hangs though,  hash rate just drops on certain boxes , these are newer cards rx 470s and 570s 580s

These are not related to app restarts , actually a restart tends to fix the issue.  Its something with these miners , genoli minder does not do this as far as i know

Do you dual mine? Or you used to and they are older cards? Are they overclocked to the maximum?

Genoil performs much less than either of the miners we are discussing so the demand on the card would be naturally much less.

1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.3: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: January 17, 2018, 07:16:26 PM
testing this miner on some of my rigs ,  hash rate starts out good , then some cards start doing the claymore twostep

from 29.8 mhs to 15 mhs or lower.

Some rigs crash as well.  Do you want copies of the log files ?  This happens on claymore too but faster on this miner , and not even after a disconect and reconnect

its defintaly faster than claymore but seems more unstable , cards lose hash rate fast

You sure the problem is not due to the hardware/driver? Get something like OpenCL hangs on GPU 0, moments later the application starts itself only to get lower hash rate. That's likely a hardware problem, because I have an older GPU that does that occasionally. Not always, just when I wake up the display to use the system.

1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to start a hidden miner? on: January 17, 2018, 04:59:22 PM
We have a lot of windows computers in the company I own. All of them with expensive and fast CPUs. Already did some calculations and even with a low CPU usage (0 impact in the tasks we need to do) It would be very profitable to mine!

I want to configure some cryptonight miners running in background (no screen, no terminal) so employees won't get worried about "that weird screen".

I tried autorunning a .bat with this code: START /B xmr-stak-cpu

However It's not what I wanted and reopens the miner immediately.

Any ideas about how should I do this?

Thanks in advance Smiley

Here you go, don't get fired Smiley  http://www.robvanderwoude.com/battech_hideconsole.php

Get fired from the company he owns?

lol he doesnt own it, if he owned it he would be damned about what the employees think about some 'wierd' screen haha

he probabaly just said that to keep people off his case
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 17, 2018, 04:44:34 PM
They have sold over 5000 A3s if this is their account 1NrMNvxsDwsQ9DA4styegmTue9tPPsV9bg

Someone was saying they sold 6000 to buyers in China already.. Any other users from China confirm this? If so can someone post the wallet address they wanted payment sent to for China customers?

China buyer is using same BCH wallet too?

What makes you think this is their wallet address?  I'm in the US and thats not the address I sent my funds to.  I think its pretty obvious they use some service that collects the money.  Everyone has to send to a unique address, otherwise how would they know you paid?

Someone earlier posted the wallet address.  They followed funds from a purchase to that address.  I'm assuming they create a wallet for you to send to, you send it, then it all gets sent to single wallet.  So if China got 6k payed by RMB, and everyone else used bch, then we are looking at over 10k units in first batch.  That is 13x what the current network is, so once first batch gets hooked up and mining, profit is immediately 1/13th of what calculators show.  So last night it showed about $500/day....Reality will be $38/day, or $1100 per month assuming no others come online.  Lets assume they do another 10k units in a month, now we are at $550/mo....Do it again next month, and we are at $225/mo.  So yeah, if they drop another 10k batch in next 30 days, you might get ROI in 3 months, another 10k after that, and.....

you math is way off, remeber they have been 'testing" these units for weeks most likely , so the true hash rate rise is probbaly closer to tripple or double.  Then factor in we are in a major crypto price crash, in 14 days when/if these arrive
you will be looking at close to double price wise on sia and verge so I would say you will still earn around $300 a day for the first month of that first batch

after that who knows
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] ethpool.org-Predictable ETH solo mining pool - Stratum & VarDiff on: January 17, 2018, 02:21:43 PM
pool is such trash , all the money u guys make and miners are constantly going down , today had to reboot my rigs several times due to you awesome error
Code:
Socket was closed remotely (by pool)
ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...
ETH: Stratum - connecting to 'eu1.ethpool.org' <91.121.73.83> port 3333

its really bad on this pool since we get zero rewards if we are down for an extended time , since we have to get all the credits for a block

comone guys this has been a problem for months now

does this miner solve this issue :

Quote
so sick of this

 LBC - Total Speed: 115.426 Mh/s, Total Shares: 4286, Rejected: 24
 LBC: GPU0 off, GPU1 64.873 Mh/s, GPU2 50.553 Mh/s, GPU3 off, GPU4 off, GPU5 off, GPU6 off
Code:
Code:
Socket was closed remotely (by pool)
ETH: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec...
LBC: 01/17/18-04:36:08 - New job from lbry.suprnova.cc:6256
ETH: Stratum - connecting to 'eu1.ethpool.org' <91

happens every day and kills the miner or then i get cards that start hashing less or the machine dies entirely

claymore needs to fix this shit.  Its not even the pool since it happens on multiple pools

seems to happend every day no matter what pool, claymore gets that error socket closed remotely by pool

then the miner freezes , sometimes crashes, other rigs have cards suddenly hashing at lilke  7.8 or  just reboot or die completley.

The eorry happens on every rig m the Nvidia rigs seem to mostly recover AMD rigs mostly are fucked.

1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant-B on: January 17, 2018, 11:42:58 AM
I saw that A3, came out of nowhere, pretty incredible @ 815GH for Blake(2b). Even though I ordered 6x Giant-B directly, I also ordered 2x Antminer A3 (using two accounts & two addresses) since Giant-B should be focused on LBRY or PASCAL and not Blake(2b). That's why I didn't order the Obelisk that's up to half a year out, because odds that Bitmain would release a new product was too high, been too long since their last product release.

hmm i ordered 1 A3 but i want another too, what if i order one on my brothers account same address ?
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain is releasing a 815GH/s Blake(2b) miner called the AntMiner A3 on: January 17, 2018, 10:42:17 AM
shit I got 400 D3 in my data center and im fucking raping it. I don't know what you noobs are talking about.
if you had 400 s9 you woukd be doing way better or 400 baikal x10 duh
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Bitmain A3 Blake2b asic miner on: January 17, 2018, 05:27:43 AM
well rip oblelisk dcr miner

they are not on sale yet , it says jan 17 tho
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant-B on: January 17, 2018, 05:21:26 AM
Just buy the coins while cheap  Grin Grin
yeah lol , 15 k in coins bought today would be like 60k

Oh dear,

EVGA 1070ti Hybrid - $600USD here in oz and I'm all out of space... Sad Sad

I'm sooo tempted to buy 20x and flog off my Nvidia fleet 2nd hand.

$600 thats a ripoff

DevFee connecting to ethermine crashes miner:
Code:
ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to us1.ethermine.org:4444
DevFee: ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...
30 seconds of dual mining success
Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner!
Rebooting
When this happens my entire rig reboots.
When DevFee connects to dwarfpool it works fine.
Code:
DevFee: ETH: 01/12/18-16:16:06 - New job from eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008
DevFee: ETH: 01/12/18-16:16:08 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 3)
ETH: Share accepted (101 ms)!
DevFee: ETH: 01/12/18-16:16:12 - New job from eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008
ETH: 01/12/18-16:16:12 - New job from eth-us-eastl.nanopool.org:9999 ETH - Total Speed: ...
ETH: GPUO ...
LBC - Total Speed:...
DevFee: stop mining and disconnect
Because of this both me and the developer are losing mining time.
What can I do to fix this?
try mining with no dev fee and see if it helps

ugh all gone
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GIANT B - BUY HERE - WWW.BITTAWMART.COM - OUT OF STOCK on: January 16, 2018, 08:33:49 AM
lol @ lbry difficulty! To the moon! Baikal ruins everything.. I'm beginning to hate them. They keep chasing me off algorithm after algorithm.

Very few algorithms they haven't destroyed with their ASIC's. And those they haven't I'm confident they are working hard on.  Cry

Give it two months it will be like mining with a GPU  Shocked
A very expensive GPU. And those are not ASICs, just FPGAs. When a real ASIC like Obelisk comes and grabs DCR and SIA with 10x the hashrate good luck... To be entirely honest, I wish I had grabbed a batch 1 Giant-B, probably enough time to make some money on it, let's see.

And, well, RIP ETH dual mining, end of the Claymore era Smiley

yup its currently not worth it to dual mine and not even all the Baikal B's have hit the market , Its not worth it paying a fee to claymroe now
