1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Ethereum Miner BUG on: January 20, 2018, 12:20:01 PM
What are you using now?

Im using the phoneix miner on this page with the problem machines

less features but it works with claymore monitor and cannot dual mine

it seems to work a bit better  reconnecting to pools
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 20, 2018, 12:13:42 PM
Got my tracking number too. Forgive me for my ignorance but why would the mining pool discriminate between asic/gpu? The A3 will be using cgminer Im sure, so how would it make a difference?

asics usually submit so many more shares a sec/min than GPUs so normally unless its a variable diff pool that can adjust share tartget based on the power of your miner

you need a fixed diff port on the pool that allows for asics specifically.

Alot of times vardiff does not work right even so so usually a high diff port is most efficient for asics
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 20, 2018, 12:10:38 PM
Just received the tracking no for my A3.

how so fast thats crazy
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how get zcash to mine with eth bios modded cards?? on: January 19, 2018, 10:16:46 PM
If you have a dual Bios card as smoolae suggested you could flip back to the stock bios and should have no problems. Equihash is going to use more power and thus produce more heat (since it uses the core moreso than Ethash). You either need to go to lower mem clocks or you'll just have to flash back to looser mem timings.
personally i just use eth settings, yeah its lower hash rate by say 5 to 10 percent
but also alot less power than the high stock cores of a stock card.  If anything
i just lower the mem clock via software.

You know it's very likely that you are looking at a company wide wallet address that is showing money inflows for ALL Bitmain products being sold. S9's L3+'s PSU's A3"s. I'm guessing that Bitmain has not sold more than 6000 total A3's between China and outside countries.

Bitmain sold 6000 A3s just for china market. Few pages back was reported they have to (by chinese laws) publicly announce how much miners will be released .
I think its at least 12k units

6k china if that info is true and the two small batches they did for the rest of us , seemed to be teo batches of 3k 3k

First batch 15K ...  All will be fuqed up if sia fork it ..
All will be fuqed up even if sia dont fork it...  coz Bitmain will add another 30K by next month .. Cheesy Cheesy

My choice SIA should shove it in bitmain fuqin @$$ Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
lol sia won’t fork , its FUD they were the ones who stated that asics would help secure and grow the network , that was the very justification they made for selling 10k units of thier obelisk.

even if they do fork which i think would make things worse for then , it wont be before  may or june which is plenty of time for the A3 to be profitable
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Halong Mining / DragonMint are now coming out with their own Blake(2b) ASIC on: January 19, 2018, 10:08:51 PM

Someone that bought Dragon Mint 16TH in the past batchs  has received it ?

thier firsy batch is march april so we will see
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: January 19, 2018, 09:20:53 PM

1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: January 19, 2018, 09:18:45 PM
I think most of you know about envion ($100M raised couple of days ago at ico finish), so according to their video and details on the first MMU which is already working somewhere in Germany, the container has more than 400 GPU (!!!!!!) cards and 19 asics antminer s9. It was one of the most scaring fact in their ico using of that high part of GPU miners in that mobile mining unit.

I cant believe idiots gave these fools 100million to compete with them lol
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The 5.6 GH ETH Man Mining Shed! Phase 2 in Progress! Building the Ant-muffler! on: January 19, 2018, 08:34:51 PM

That's a pretty good idea for propping up the GPUs. Are you worried about unequal air flow over the GPUs that are at different heights in relation to the fans?

The top shelf is a bit warmer than the rest, but it really isnt an issue.

great project, i havent read the entire thread but what have you come up with for reducing moisture in the air and filtering

my garage is set up similar, although much smaller scale.. but i leave the back door open for fresh air intake and air pushes out through ridge cap in the roofing and soffit vents

I've not solved the humidity issue, but i foresee it being a huge problem. I have found corrosion on one GPU. This must be resolved ASAP!

I'm open to suggestions. Is there some large air blower that i can feed air into the shed that doubles as a dehumidifier or something? I need to set up some conditioning of the air.
hmm thats really fast

I run my gpus in the winter here in MN and im at around 30% humidity with half my rooftop exhaust fans turned on
If i turn on too many humidty drops further but I have 200 gpus and some asics , and ive never seen rust or mould.

Im confused as to why you humidity is so low, my gpus are in a garage as well
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: January 19, 2018, 07:47:49 PM
Equihash is very hard to build asics for due to the increase in memory requirements

but i dont think gpu mining will die, there are so many algorithms out there  , there should always be something to mine even when Eth ends
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia Titan Xp Star Wars Editions on: January 19, 2018, 07:45:05 PM
i just ordered one of each for my white case gaming box lol
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia Titan Xp Star Wars Editions on: January 19, 2018, 07:32:12 PM
Any information on these available? I found one article saying they are worse than Vega 64s. They do look cool though!!!

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/star-wars-galactic-empire-titan-xp-collectors-edition/

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/star-wars-jedi-order-titan-xp-collectors-edition/

So if you are going to pick some up are you going Jedi or Galactic Empire?
sexy collectors item but overpriced for mining

its slower or same speed as a 1080ti

No its faster or the same speed. The chip physically has more cores and a wider memory bus. Though in most cases, the 5-10% gain is not worth it.

But given a choice if the prices were equal, id pick the titan xp all day long.

if thats true its a good buy atm cuz a 1080ti is 1500 lol
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Ethereum Miner BUG on: January 19, 2018, 07:30:40 PM
Hey! I have noticed that if I have Connection loss. And miner Shows message: connection lost retry in 20 sec. Then while connection estabilishing my hash rate reduces 2 times. Do you know guys why this hapens? I use AMD cards and [Suspicious link removed]pute drive.
Thank YOU!

this has happend to me many times its a know bug, I stopped using claymore since
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DEVICE] SimpleRigResetter - Auto reboot freezed rigs - AVAILABLE NOW !!! on: January 19, 2018, 05:40:58 PM
awesome , cant wait, will you be selling the cables as well with the extension boards? i mean like extra long ones say 20 feet? Looking online it’s basically the same pricing as what you charge for you 6 10 and 15 foot phone cables
so mightvas well buy 30 to go with the extention board orders.
I already have 3 srr , 1 gen 1 and two gen 2 so its probably better for me to buy extention boards , on for each

About cables. I already have in stock rj9 cables with those lenght:
note than 1 meter = 3,3 feet
3meter
5meter
7meter
10meter
15meter
20meter

Also i signed cooperation with DHL and DHL Parcel so i will be sending world wide via this method.
We negotiated not bad prices so it wont be that much expensive after all Smiley
Previous delivery times were unacceptable for me and caused few problems.

About SSRv1 and Extension Boards.
We will need to make special adapter that will make this 4 green slot -> rj45 socket.
This might be not available at start but little time after we send some Extension Boards.
Also keep note that you will be able to connect even 10 extension boards to one SRRv2 Wink

oh wow thats great news.  Hmm , with long enough cables i could rewire all my rigs to even 1 srr and keep the other v2 as a spare.  Ill need to grab 3 extention board, and connect them to one.

Few photos of production unit of Extension Boards Smiley
Please don't ask via email about availability.
They will be released in shop for everyone and then you will be able to buy Smiley
We don't take any reservations !

So, does everyone think the boat has passed on this one?  Is it still smart to grab one on the next batch?  Even it difficulty jumps 5x, you'd still be making $100 a day or so...

Ok, I know there are a lot of new people here these days, and most people don't understand the math of mining so here is crash course before you get burned.

Currently SIA has a combined hashrate of ~500TH...this is the combined hashrate of all GPUs currently mining on the network (most GPUs do 1-2GH if your mining SIA direct). All it would take is JUST 600 A3 units to just DOUBLE the current hashrate/diff.

Once the 6k chinese units get turned on next week before any of you have your A3's the network hashrate will spike to 4,800 TH, thats a 10x increase from today, so that nice little calculator you use that tells you you will get rich in 10 days will go from $600 a day to $60 a day before you even get it.

Now double that again once everyone else gets theirs, and your down to $30 a day the first day you start mining.
the 600 a day speculators are laughable , still $60 to $100 days
which is what i told my friends and brother who also ordered will most likely bet
geting is a very good payout , even for only a month.

on top of that siacoin is down in value a bit from two weeks ago.

but yeah this aint no get quick rich scheme but $60 a day is very good in the current environment.

add in the fact that gpus and other asics are being stupidly price gouged or totally unavailable
batch 1 is still a good investment.  I would not but any further batches though
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 19, 2018, 04:47:55 PM
Did they end up releasing more yesterday / last night??
seems not, i work nights and i was up
checking the page till 5 am and no batches were released
1340  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s7 wont work with bitmain APW3++ on: January 19, 2018, 09:38:30 AM
I assume you have 220V or greater mains voltage, since you seem to be using this 4k kit http://holybitcoin.com/product/dps-2000bb-dual-4k-breakout-adapter-board/    or similar other kit.

So the mains voltage is not the issue.

APW3++ is able to handle max. 1200W power capacity at 110V and max. 1600W power capacity at 220V mains voltage.

Sounds a lot like the APW3++ psu is faulty.

yes thats the kit i am using

jeez its the seccond one i bought off amazon that was bad , i'm using a PDU and 240 v

can i still return it ? I assumed since it seemed to be new it was working and have had it for two weeks , finally got around to installing the s7 ( needed to to buy a rack to hold it)
and boom its not working god damn
I have a couple of the PSUs in the January batch act up in a similar fashion. I've had luck with power cycling them a few times.

They dont have a power switch , you mean plug an unplg ? did that already twice
Yeah plug and unplug, I had to do it up to 3 times on some. Perhaps try another plug?
so i unplugged it for like an hour, plugged it in then it worked wtf
The other one i returned from ebay didnt start at all though so this one seems to be working
btw the s7 is really taxing the unit, its pulling 6.4 amps at 240 jeez
