P.S. i dont think that b2x is scam but reality is that price will burst when exchanges add this coin Smiley
I don't know what is your definition of scam. They stole the SegWit2X name and made people believe they were the "official" thing. Their code is mostly just copy&paste, almost no development, but they make people believe they created all this technology. Fake Linkedin profiles listed as team members, including a model/dancer they list as their business developer.

As long as I can make money out of it, who gives a shit if its a scam.
Every single company out there is a scam.
Microsoft, Apple, etc.  they all stole stuff from other companies.
Just make your money and run for the hills.

Can someone who has paid BTC for NewEgg purchases help me out possibly?

I just tried to do this for the first time but got stuck at this point:

- I want to pay from either my Bittrex wallet as I sold off a few alts in order to pay this invoice (I assume this is possible).

- After choosing Bitcoin payment option on NewEgg, the bitpay window pops up wit hteh QR code (on the scan tab) for a phone scan.  Since I want to pay with exchange wallet, I click on the Copy tab and the exact amount of BTC appears, along with a URL that starts with bitcoin... https//bitpay.com.... followed by a string of numbers that doesnt look long enough to be a BTC address.

- The instruction say to copy that full URL into your wallet's send screen, but I don't think this will work in the BTC address field send screen on Bittrex, will it?  Doesnt that need to be a standard BTC address only?

Am i missing something or can you not send payment from an exchange wallet like this?

Does Newegg accept BTC payments? Newegg.ca didn't give me this option during my last purchase last month

Yeah, newegg.com absolutely does.  I did a bit more reading and it seems likely that you need to open a bitpay account/wallet in order to use that option but any advice from Phil or others who have used it would still be appreciated.

cant help here  I dont pay newegg with btc.

This happen to me just last week when I tried to pay my January hosting bill at GND.
After talking to GND.... the solution was to install Bitpay app on your mobile (I use a Samsung Note 8 ).
I never did have to do that - looks like Bitpay changed their internal process and forcing everyone to use their app.
Fund your Bitpay wallet (treat it like a mobile wallet) and use their builtin QR scanner to pay.
Good luck.

Trying to pay Newegg from an exchange wallet has been VERY PROBLEMATICAL all along - the last couple months Bitpay has been having major issues even working with THEIR OWN SPECIFIED "works well" wallet options.

2 of my last 3 Newegg purchases have been BORKED BY BITPAY, the last one is still "in process" of resolution.

I'm about to change suppliers, if Bitpay RIPS ME OFF AGAIN ON REFUND of the current issue, as it was 100% CAUSED BY THEIR ISSUES I HAVE ALREADY NOTIFIED THEM OF AND THEY INSIST ON BLOWING OFF.

At this point, I don't trust "Bitpay" as far as I can throw them.
Newegg was a LOT better off before they switched to using this INCOMPETANT excuse for a payment processor.

Does anyone know if "Bitpay" is owned by Paypal?
 It would explain a TON.

Damn Quint that sucks bro - Last night I was just about to try to use some BTC to purchase but they are out of stock of every single nvidia card, so glad I didn't with the new horror story .
its not worth it paying for parts with bitcoin anymore the network fees are rediculous

1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: graphics cards for mining on: January 07, 2018, 07:25:07 PM
1080Ti is the best GPU in the market for mining depending upon it's cost.

vegas are the best profit wise, but both the 1080ti an vega are too expensive
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Suggestion on Building a Rig on: January 07, 2018, 11:15:43 AM
lol $100 a day from 1 rig! what y smoking

I guess its posible with 8 vegas if you could find them

no other card will pay you more than $8 per card and thats being
super optimistic.

a normal 1070 or 580 rig would pay you around $25 a day i think

You're right.  It's not their fault for being stupid.  They were just born that way and they never learned how to research the ideals that peaked their curiousity.
lol well not all thier fualt , this forum is pretty antiquated
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting in mining on: January 07, 2018, 03:12:36 AM
It's just crazy the number of people like him that keep coming in here asking the same stupid fucking questions without doing a single bit of fucking research.  What the guy above said ... Read the first few pages of this forum for christ sakes.  Actually ... Read this forum non-stop for the next 2-4 weeks for hours and hours every day ... And then come back here with intelligent questions based on your research.

Now scram!
its not thier fault there needs to be a faq/sticked thread with all these basic info
the admins here too damn lazy so we will continue to be inundated with these dumb threads
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What GPUs did you use in your most recent mining rig build? January 2018 on: January 06, 2018, 10:57:34 PM
i managed to buy 120 470 8g mining only cards and snapped them up.  No, I will not sell sorry! I have a feeling it is going to be worse than summer 2017 to get cards this year...
what did you pay and how do people get so many cards jeez lol
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 06, 2018, 07:16:17 AM
Eth transactional fees are atarting to go up , I dont think the calculators take that into account on solo eth pool i got my weekly block today and it was 5.2 eth! no uncle (uncle rate is about 40 percent now it seens I get one a month too)

I was like wtf , I look at the hash and tx and i see the block contained 222 individual transsactions all paying $6 or so in fees!!

anyway long story short ive been noticing the blocks i have been getting range from 3.1 to 3.3 eth per block never less and sometimes more and with that 2 eth uncle I think just looking at the calculators is costing folks $$

I know nano and flypool claim to share fees but somone would have to prove it to me, I mined at nanopool for the longest and my payouts always matched the calculators never exceeded them
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: January 06, 2018, 06:00:16 AM
guys I hope everyone sees this post quote it with their current pool and coin and daily profit to help as much comers as we can and I find new pools on daily basis I will mention them on this quote
now I am winging between supernova(XVG) and alqo pool(ALQO)

I moved my Baikal mini's over to mining ALQO when I got my x10. I get a few a day. Since the 16th of December (about 4 weeks) I have mined ~180 ALQO with 300mh/s (I'll let you do the math). I use this pool for that: http://mineblocks.co.uk/getting_started It mines right to your wallet. Payouts every round.

I have my x10 mining XVG on supernova for about a week now. Pulling in between 600 - 450 per day. I don't have a good read on today because the miner went off-line for about 6 hours while I was at work.

Both pools have been very reliable.

http://xvg-mg.idcray.com/index.php

has been good for around 400  -450 verg a day for each x10 i have

im trying to figure out how to get multipool working on miningpoolhug and minindg duch atm

for some does anyone know if its correct to set priority to 1 for all the coins ? also they dont heave a default setting for the x10

we  really need a better pool for this miner.  For some reason the miner is mining skein atm on mining pool hub wtf lol

theres also no 17xxx port for quark so cant autoswitch to that its total junk out there

Mining duch does not have skien , cant find the perfect pool

but if mining duch pays out as expected i guess ill be on there.

Auto switching is the best useage for this asic , not manually jumping from pool to pool
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: REAL REAL NEWBIE DESPERATELY NEEDS HELP ON MINING on: January 06, 2018, 01:43:10 AM
To be honest, $1,300 is not enough to get into GPU mining at present time. Mainly, this is because of a severe shortage of GPU, which means many top mining models like Vega, 1070ti, even RX 570 are either not available at all or you will have to pay 2-3x retail to get one.
This doesn't make much sense. Sure, the GPU prices are higher due to shortages, but it has nothing to do with "$1300 not being enough to get into GPU mining". You can buy a used 280x for $100 and start mining cryptonight or equihash with it just fine. And with $1300 there's lots and lots of options to start with.

Other than that, if you really wanna try some kind of mining, you could probably get into BURST decently for about $1,300.  Assuming you already have the PC, you could get probably close to 50TB of HDDs, which at current rates would make you maybe $60-$80/week.
That's a very questionable advice to give to a newbie. Considering the BURST history and its extremely low mining profitability for the most part of this coin's life, plus the fact that there are no other PoC coins out there, you're setting up the OP with a bunch of useless HDDs he won't know what to do with.  Smiley
burst is trash its like hard af to get working i bougt 5 drives 10gb  and mapped them took days and still could not
get mining to work fuck that sorcery
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 05, 2018, 06:46:52 PM
I hope these don’t become as hard to get as the ASIC miners.

they went way up   in May + June of 2017

I have 3 on order

msi 1080ti seahawk hybrid
zotac 1070 mini

evga 1080 hybrid

and one on rma

msi 1070 waterblock only seahawk

that is about 2000-2200 sols

my cards are really doing well

6200 usd a month plus 2260 usd for partners

- 500 for power

or 5700 for me net  not counting asic mining and not counting odd ball mining

So 7000 a month maybe a little more. last 2 months

don't know how long it will last.

I would love to 5 months  at 7000 a month

Holy crap! Do you actually cash that out or do you let the coins pile up?

I fully paid all cards and purchased more.

I have like 60 cards mostly 1080 tis

Many people have 90 to 300 cards on this thread

In June once the building is built and finished
Im going to be adding 200 more cards
All paid off with the past two years of savings and increases in value of eth/btc

I hold more eth than btc nowadays

200 cards? its hard to even find 5 cards atm, unless you plan on buying say 20 a month till june
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 users on: January 05, 2018, 06:42:07 PM
Alright guys, I am returning them. I just ordered a mixture of 1080's and 1070 ti's that I paid less then the other RX 580's.
1080s are only good if you're getting them for pretty much the same price as 1070 Ti's. If they're noticeably more expensive than 1070 Tis then they're not worth it. GDDR5x memory is not as good as the regular GDDR5 for some algos (there's been quite a few very profitable Neoscrypt coins lately, and 1070 Ti is faster than 1080 on those).

I got them for around $500 each with the tax.
much better deal
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: January 05, 2018, 08:11:08 AM
Just received my 2 Giant X10  Cheesy Cheesy at last!

It wasn't that late, taking into consideration the Holidays period!

1st, lets hope for operations with minimal problems as it seems to cause lots of them Cheesy
2nd, any one would like to propose a pool to point these midgets?

Thanks and hope you all happy mining!

ra_XOr
https://www.mining-dutch.nl/ are a good pool with auto btc conversion, xvg and geo doing well there
how much daily Huh?
Around 500 xvg per 24hr per machine. I now have 1 machine mining xvg and the other at miningpoolhub mining geo.

One of my machines is running 10 degrees hotter than the other even when on the same algo, thinking of flashing the firmware with the latest release but it seems you need to dismantle the miner to get to the card, anyone know how to do this before I get the screwdrivers out!

where are you mining your XVG at ? Im on idcray and no where near 500 xvg per machine
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: January 05, 2018, 07:07:27 AM
I was able to get a successful recovery with DiskInternals Linux Recovery. There's a significant amount of info in there...

Did you get a chance to compile it and does it match the sgminer on the x10?

Anywho, seeing that log on the recovery files of blakecoin share submitted and accepted, I am guessing that the Baikal Giant B is the same as the Baikal x10, just with different firmwares for different algorithms. Repackaged and re-programed with a $3k+ markup compared to the x10, smart company/choice. So I am assuming now that the 2 new algos is 2 of the algos on Giant B, but they are waiting for the Giant B to be released first before they release the updated firmware for the X10, so the difficulty don't shoot up before they can sell the Giant B.

lol damn thats a dirty move by baikal it makes sense though, the giant b came out
way too soon after the x10 hard to imagine they had a whole different team on a different fpga
for such a small company
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 users on: January 05, 2018, 03:24:53 AM
Talk to me then. Send them back for those?
That's your decision to make, not anyone else's. Why did you buy them for $500 a piece in the first place? If you just thought they're cool and you'll make tons of money with them and didn't do any real research before placing the order then yeah, it's better to return them I suppose. Then do some reading. Then order something that is actually worth $500. In general you're supposed to do things in this order: first you do your research, then you order equipment. Looks like you did the opposite. Smiley
send them back and grab 1070ti cards yeah
