1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 10, 2017, 07:53:03 AM
Well ETN nanopool has same problem as all monero pools, OUTDATED shares :S every other ETN pool iv used dont give a single outdated share.

But about 500 ETN min payout, check the monero min payout, its 0,3. 500 ETN is less than a 24h work, 0,3 monero means more than 48h with 11kh/s.

none of this matters anymore , electroneum profit is dead now lol
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 10, 2017, 02:00:49 AM

I'm so discouraged....and looking for an alternate solution. I was even considering going back to using risers on  a known board. Then, I found the Onda B250 BTC-D8P is available in the US :

https://www.waikey.com/item/onda-b250-btc-d8p-8-pci-e-slots-motherboard-8-gpu-mining/

Not sure if I should trust this site.

That is an interesting looking board ...
wow thats super cheap
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 10, 2017, 01:14:13 AM
is this pool more stable?

easyhash.io is constantly under DDOS attacks and going down.

electroneum.hashvault.pro i get massive amounts of rejected shares and thus way lower payout than expected (25%).

i wanted to mine this, but it's frustrating as hell right now.

So far its seems to be the most stable etn pool I have been on. All the others I have tried seem to start out doing good then I wake up to find that the pool is down and I have wasted 8hrs.  I am almost at 24hrs and the results are  pretty consistent with estimates from whattomine and the calculator on nanopool.
same problem i have had with other pools tons of rejects , pool down due to ddos etc ,nanopool might pay a bit leas but at least i get my actual hash rate due to stability
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 09, 2017, 06:36:22 AM
vosk;

check your board, is it s B250D8P 1.0 or 2.0?  (looks like 1.0, so phil will be able to comment a link for the one he uses) these will dictate memory type needed (ddr3 or 4)  I know phil linked the ram he uses somewhere ~20+ pages ago...

all of the molex/sata plugs need to be powered as per another member's reports... for the PCIE slot power draw.

here is some  on ebay at a good price

https://www.ebay.com/itm/M471A5143EB0-CPB-GENUINE-SAMSUNG-LAPTOP-MEMORY-4GB-1RX8-PC4-2133P-SA0-11/272972916703?

samsung  works well.

and if you look at the slot  it is closer to the center then the   ddr3

if you muscled  a ddr3 into the ddr4 slot it will break the ram or the slot

260 pin

good psu  for the eight slot  will do 8 1070s  at 105 watts

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/rmi-series-rm1000i-1000-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-fully-modular-psu-na-refurbished

order 2 of these with it.

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/type-4-sleeved-black-pci-e-cable-with-pigtail-connector-and-capacitors-for-type-4-psu

there are 5 slots for double head pcie cables.

1 cable  can do 2  1070  if you stay at 100-105 watts

so  I tend to use this psu  with 5 pcie cables.

I run 5 1070   and 2  1070tis

I leave 1 slot open..

I pull   100  watts  each with the 1070's
I pull 120 watts each with the 1070 tis.

740 watts + 40 more  = 780 watts  runs nice.

Phill any news on when you will be getting those rev 2 onda boards in stock ?  I still have around 10 riser based rigs to replace
1546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 09, 2017, 06:34:23 AM
I have 35 share but i cant see my stats. It is saying

Account
not found
Remember: to add your account to the database you should find at least one share

it takes time to load up the information, wait at least 15-30mins, I'd tried the pool seems it is not a realtime with delays, the pool luck is high compared to others.

It has been 9 hours and  I have 1225 submitted shares but still i cant see my stats..

This wallet is not Exchange wallet it is my offline wallet address also.

Is this pool scam or what ?

I sent mail bur they did NOT answer.

Not a scam, Nanopool is working fine for me. The problem lays somewhere else.
are you mining to a wallet or exchange ? if you are mining to an exchange you need to put in paymentID

nano pool is the only pool that is stable for me so far, less rejectect shares and less fluctuation in hash rate
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 09, 2017, 04:04:31 AM
Something is really wrong with this pool, getting much less coins comparing to space pool. Space pool got me around 15 ETN and hour on average, nano gets around 0.7, this is redicilous.
areyou sure ? , i see alot of miners there i dont think they would stay if payouts were that low bro

Is there a special trick to get the ONDA B250 BTC-D8P MoBo Ver.1 to work?

( Note: I'm getting the same symptoms Storx described on the 6 slot ONDA. I tried clicking the the button he used to resolve the issue. No luck)

Do I need to install a VGA driver or something else?

Is there an online manual ?( I couldn't find one of the ONDA website.)

Been struggling for 2 days with the ONDA B250 BTC-D8P MoBo Ver.1 MoBo. Ran all over Toronto to replace RAM and CPU. Sill not working.
Here's my set up:

MOBO : see above
PSU: CORSAIR HXi Series HX1200i 1200W 80 PLUS PLATINUM
CPU: Intel Core I3-7100 Kaby Lake Dual-Core Processor Socket LGA 1151, 3.9GHz
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15S-4GRS
GPU's 1 x EVGA 1060 SC, and 7 x EVGA 1060 SCC

I plugged it in the way Phil mentioned so that i didn't short it. I even tried what worked for Storx ( pushing the CMOS button) when he had trouble getting his D1800 to post.

not sure if this will help.. have the onda B250 D8P ver 1. G4400, 8 gig ddr4 sodimm (g.skill ripjaw ddr4 2400), 128 gig msata. dual psus, mixed amd and nvidia, 6 cards total.

for initail setup: i booted with a single rx460 and got into the bios. in there i set the iGPU (to use the G4400 Pentium) as the primary video to use the hdmi port, then disconnected the 460 video (left the card in though) and rebooted. from there i installed win10. the iGPU came up as "microsoft basic vga" or something to that effect in device manager. then i let it search for drivers and it grabbed the intel driver from ms. from there is was a cakewalk, more or less.

the board does some sort of self discovery mode on initial boot and any boot after a cmos reset. in a bios reset i think it expects a card in the 1st slot (closest to cpu) and doesnt use teh iGPU (if any), its kinda of a weird board until you get it setup, then its fine. its actually rock solid for me. i like it, cards have good spacing and cooling is good with 3 noctua 140s each pushing 133 cfm at them.

EDIT: i have looked for documentation; cant find any Sad

Thx. Smiley
I have a couple G4400 CPUs on other MoBos. I'll move one to the ONDA and start over.
Fingers crossed.

Well changing to the G4400 didn't make a difference. Just like before, The fans on the GPUs and the CPU start spinning and nothing else happens. Not even a light on the Ethernet port.

So, I'm giving up and sending it back. Am looking at alternative boards ...but likely have to go with risers.

Hey buddy, check your memory, these onda motherboards are very specific on memory requirements.. is your memory 1.35V? When i first got my D1800 BTC board i bought DDR3 memory listed under 1.35 search, but when i double checked the memory itself it had printing of 1.5v listed on the product, so i had to ship it back and order new memory. Also i found that the memory was very tricky on getting the proper angle to get it to fully seat for me. I think the clear bios worked for me because i was trying to boot it on 1.5V memory and it was unhappy with it throwing errors, then when i placed the correct memory in the computer it wouldnt boot tell i cleared the errors from the 1.5v memory.

I used those ripjaw ddr 4 rams thos worked for me

Thx Marvel. Gonna try this one: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL16 1.2V SODIMMs (F4-2400C16S-8GRS). A store nearby has it in stock.
I really find it weird how poorly the RAM fits into the slot.

hope it works for you and yes make sure the ram is properly slotted in ,  Iusually first pull back those clicky tab things then slide it in and make sure it clicks.  I bet the ram was ur issue its common for a cpu fan to spin and no post usually its ram

1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Volta PCI-E GPU shows up on: December 08, 2017, 11:10:20 AM
single precision is 14 Tflops vs 12 Tflops for pascal at same TDP.

So there's some efficiency gains, but not as significant as the maxwell > pascal jump.

If Volta x70/x80 release in March, it'll probably be 1 - 2 months before it becomes available in sufficient quantity and at MSRP. I guess pascal is still good for now.

The performance gains will not be gigantic. Efficiency will increase as the new chips are produced in 12nm which is a good thing.
I wouldn’t go out and buy plenty of new Maxwell cards now - if you get a good deal go it is still worthwhile but I am looking to hopefully ROI all the gear until March and slowly replace the existing cards Smiley

IDK man , you could be leaving alot of money on the table by limiting expansion in a year which is predicted to be the year of the altcoin 2018.

Personally as long as i have extra funds I will keep expanding, if volta shows up ill switch but  not before

I totally agree and am expanding too with 1070tis. I'll stop 1 - 2 months before volta's release though.

Oh mama, cant wait for this to come, When consumer level Volta comes out AMD is a gonna Smiley
Im sick of amd anyways and thier crappy drivers and the fact the dont test thier bum cards for mining
so we spend hours figuring out correct mem strapps that should have come adjusted from factory

fuck amd man

Agree. My farm of 120 + gpu, 90% of the time spent on 7 Vega cards (selling them, someone please take it off me lol), 9% spent on 24 polaris cards. My remaining 1080tis had just 1 small issue in 1 rig for 6 months. Reinstalled driver remotely and it works again. Flawless, no bs, just works.

I'll gladly take a slight hit to ROI for the immense improvement in stability.
yup in the same boat although i spent way more time working with my polaris cards and have a box of 20. dead ones , only one dead nvidia , 2 bad zotac 1080s though.

curious as to why you are buying 1070ti vs 1060 6gb , ive done the calcs
an 8 card rig of 1060 is great , they even do 520 cryptonite, 300 equihas , 24mhs eth ,22 mhs lyra

so ive found they are 2/3 the perfomance of a 1070ti at half the price , how do u justify the more expensive cards?

i just bought 16 1060s 6gb for average of $245

does it post ? I had one board i thoiugh was bad but it was a CPU with bent pins

it does have one dead PCI-e slot but i can live with that.  I have a 10 card 1060 board working with this board and its great.

you should be able to install the OS with just the IGPU and add cards later , thats how i did it at least

I used a kaby lake i3 for one and a kaby lake i7 for the other board

1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash hacked? on: December 07, 2017, 07:58:32 PM
well the main problem with nice were it was too powerful
it could kill a coin very easily if someone  give too much power, kicks the diff to the moon, then leave..
and normal miner will be try to mine the new block like eternity.
but for new people in  crypto - it makes life much easier, no doubts!

will see how it goes now

Exactly this. The moment they went offline everybody was able to see the impact on the big and knows coins. ETH was obviously not that affected but Zencash global hash decreased big time. Also Electroneum nethash went from 200 MH/s to 60 MH/s.
Killing newly created coins is an entire different issue with them. I hope people get their BTC back but if NH would suffer and lose some hashrate that would be a good thing for everyone.

I was another nice hash user, but this really opened my eyes , they were bad for the small miner , even if they come back I will never sell my hash there again.
