anyone know when batch 2 is gonna be available??

I have an A3 available for pickup. LET me know if you are interested. Can ship only in USA.

Just received the miner. It is freaking loud at my apartment. I am pretty sure someone is going to complain. I tried setting the fan speed to 70% but chip temperature is going beyond 90 C. What is the ideal fan speed and temperature guys? PCB is around 70 and chip around 100.. Is that too much?

PCB can never go to 80 or it will break...

Try to keep it at 60-70 for best results.

I recommend opening your window and pointing the outtake fan towards it. Also, You can only lower the fan if you are going to lower the frequency as well otherwise it will overheat.

I recommend getting earplugs to sleep because it will be hard but would be best for right now. Either that or call a friend and ask them to run it in a spare room for the next 1 week while you buy fan shrouds, cooler, and insulated flexible duct to make a box to silent it a little.

Let this be a PSA to everyone check your temps. If the chips are over 80C you need to ramp up the fans. With 75F/24C ambient temps, mine would hit 75C with 100% fans! I moved the miner into my garage with 32F/0C ambient temps and the chips are still running 65C... If you are hitting 80C or higher you are risking a dead board during the time this thing is most (or possibly at all) profitable.

PCB temps or chip ?

my default  PCB temps are like 61-62 but my chip temps are 75-84

if i raise frequency to 625 pcb stays at 68 but chips are at 90s 80s

He has a lot to worry about though.  He cashed in all of his digital drug money for crypto.  And now he's just another fucktard that has a bunch of crypto, but doesn't understand it.

Buy and hold my friend.  Just HODL, as they say.  Even though I hate the acronym.
lol 😂 has

Anyone else notice their A3 running pretty hot on the chip side? Mine was approaching 90C on one board, had to go in and manually set the fans to 100%. Now running low 70's. This is with 70F ish ambient temps. These run quite a bit hotter than my L3+'s it seems.

I had to do the same, other miners (L3+s) in the same place are working at 50's.

Bitmain OC'd the shit out of these, just like the D3. Hopefully blissz will make firmware for the A3, he saved us with D3 firmware. It gives the ability to change voltage and customize each hash board with voltage & frequency.
lol blitz got a cease and desist hes done making firmware
1265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer A3 earning $500 a day mining SIAcoin . .WHAT?! Results & Stats on: January 25, 2018, 08:40:58 PM
so this is why my 1 1080ti cant get  1 coin in SIA
well to be fair, the baikalminers are also partially responsible xD lol

SIA's algorithm isn't supported by any of the Baikal miners.
That "Obelisk" group announced a SIA miner, but don't think it's actually shown up yet - if it EVER does.

the baikal b can mine sia and dcr , but only at 40 and 80gh
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 25, 2018, 08:10:08 PM
why does the sia wallet generate a new address every time ?
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My Review of potential SIAcoin Soft / Hard Fork and 1 day Antminer A3 earnings on: January 25, 2018, 05:52:26 PM
RIP!!
lol yeah its down to 200 a day or less , this was expected by most of us though.

I predict this will be a $50 a day miner , still a 1.5 month ROI which is solid
its been what 5 days since launch? most folks dont even have thier A3s yet
hash rate will tripple by next week

I didn't get my order in until 1 hour after it started (after they had already sold out once and reopened). I just received mine today (1hr ago). I've got to be pretty close to the end. I think we'll probably level out around $100-$175/day for the next 30-60 days. Keep in mind, block time is going to decrease in a couple days. That $100-$175/day will shoot back up to $300-$525/day.

actully you were near the begining becuase they sold units on the 17th and 18th , my buddy orderd two units on the seccond day via ups, his units dont arrive till tomorrow.  My brother and I get ours today.

how does the block time affect earnings nomaly algos just adjust difficulty or block reward to compensate dude

More blocks in a shorter time = more Sia rewards in a shorter time. The diff adjustment code was broken and they just fixed it on block 139000. Devs said it won't fully kick in for 3 days

oh the diff adjustment was not working? thanks for the update
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: January 25, 2018, 05:48:36 PM

They Giant B people will be crying@!!!!

3600USD and LBY only paying 70USD per machine..

X10 were heaps better value!!!

ROI in less than 2 months? Not sure why I would be crying...
my two x10 cost $1450 each and have been
making $65 to 75 each constantly since i got em

def a wat better buy, the antminer A3 fucked up the baikal b ,  since it was very profitable at sia

kicking myself for not buying at least 5 atm

1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what does increasing eth diff look like on: January 25, 2018, 04:29:32 PM
I think people mine eth because its well known and its the only gpu minable altcoin over $1000 on a regular basis so the uninformed think it will be more profitable
depends on the hardware you have, amd rx cards are so so on every algo but crytonight and ethhash
so if you have those u should be mining eth or orher cryptonight clones.

Nivida 10x cards have way more options, probably best on nicehash

You A3 owners are a bunch of A holes talkin trash to the Sia Devs.  And yet you mine their coins you greedy bastards

I demand a hard fork instead.  Polarized mining community we have here.
sia devs are idiots, they should do the right thing and refund thier pre orders
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: It has begun. Video card companies STOP offering warrenties on their video cards on: January 25, 2018, 03:35:37 AM
What we will start seeing is a type of BIOS fuse like some Android manufacteurs have to see if a phone was rooted before.

SO if you flash your bios, you blow the fuse and they can tell you bios modded it to mine with it.

Because right now as far as I know, its impossible to tell if it was used by mining.

And honestly mining uses less stress than people who overclock/overvolt their GPU inside a computer case without any intake/exhust fans.
exactly, with adequete cooling and low core clock and undervolt
the cards should not be dying in less than 3 years.

maybe pny and other other lame companies need to make better products?
1274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: It has begun. Video card companies STOP offering warrenties on their video cards on: January 25, 2018, 03:34:05 AM
How do they know unless you admit it or try to RMA 20 at a time?

yup don't be stupid and tell them there just as dishonest as you will be trying to get it replaced , am sometimes two wrongs do make it right ...
lol i just rma 9 gigabyte windforce

they ate know to have issues with thier fans though

total junk cards man , not even 8 months old fans dead and some mem
chips too

Where do you recommend mining then?
suprnova is a fair pool
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: January 24, 2018, 06:38:57 PM
Can someone help me ? I think some of you guys has same problem. Giant x10 is running - after few days It disconnects from internet and start blinking. Also sometimes I cant acces to web settings. Someone know how to fix this ?

Hi,

i have the same issue ! I talked to Baikail support and they send me a new controller board ($20 + shipping), hopefully its working much better. Otherwise i have a plug socket and can control tje power over an timer and via WebInterface.

cu

Marcus
everyone has the same problem.
please let us know if the problem solved.
thanks

Is it still worth buying these? I just see the profits dropping at current!
1600 DGB 24hours, it is up to you.
if I were you I wouldn't pay 7k
dude we paid 1400 for our units a few months ago, no way they are worth 7k
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone else having issues with their Antminer A3? on: January 24, 2018, 06:37:52 PM
I would stop mining on sia pool, seems they are doing something to mess up A3's
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 24, 2018, 06:37:07 PM
So it looks like SiaMining Pool bricked ALL A3 users.
All miners are showing THOUSANDS of HW errors and several dead ASIC chips.

Lol thats crazy, how did they manage to brick the A3s ?
