2001  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: open invitation for matthew to publically negotiate a resolution for our bet on: April 29, 2013, 03:24:37 AM
Let this be known that I have extended this offer to BTC guy:

Quote
I could sign a GPG contract stating that if Matthew were willing to deal with you (as per what you demanded in the first PM and Matthew responded), I would then release the funds to your creditors, or return to you if Matthew was not willing to deal with you after sending the escrow in.

And got rejected stating various reasons from 'wanting to feel he has won' and 'ITS A POWER TRIP.'
Please note that my offer is always valid here.

Thanks everyone.

No need to post a sum or something - just a simple x(@)y will do to avoid confusing the poor bot.  Tongue
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC 'rs treat alts almost like Gov Fiat treat BTC....very funny! on: April 29, 2013, 02:57:37 AM
Well, you'll get the general disdain if you're around long enough. We had a ton of alts from coiledcoin to Solidcoins, and most of them did not stand the passage of time like bitcoin did. This is also why we do not create subforums for those coins in the alt section - we simply don't know which coin would die next.
2004  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] AVALON batch 2 Order #1545 - With escrow! on: April 29, 2013, 02:22:22 AM

I have some questions.

1) What happens if Avalon does not deliver? Is there a deadline?
2) Will the bitcoins be held in escrow from the auction end until the delivery?
3) What happens if the unit get stuck in customs?

I confirm the 2nd is correct. The 1st and 3rd has to be discussed with op.

PS: The total is wrong for your bot - 51 blades and too much coins.  Grin

As always, please be cautious of all claims/investment opportunities found in this forum. The forum is not liable nor will do anything if problems arise with your investment.

If you are willing to offer your services, let me know

I could, but I don't see how escrow can come in this equation as you want the coins immediately. I'm just placing my warning here as I've received a lot of reports of people being scammed by preorder sales/shares.

1@34.5

Is the google doc no longer being updated?

It is, (and my official tally), but I'm away from my computer atm. I'm monitoring this on my mobile.

2012  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades on: April 29, 2013, 12:36:44 AM
Just to clarify, the two bids above are for 10 blades total.   5 @ 34.5 and 5@ 36
You should post them together like Hiroaki above.  Grin (just to ease the poor bot too)
2013  Other / Meta / Re: Rating System for forum users. on: April 29, 2013, 12:23:17 AM
tysat:

I have a problem with Tomatocage's "solution" to spamming which consists of trolling all transactions.  What he *used* to do is comment on every transaction current on any particular day trash like "escrow that shit or I will come back and laugh at your stupid ass."  I think we can agree that this type of comment does not come from a good or constructive place--he did this all the time.  There are several other members who noticed this and complained as well.  I got into several arguments with him over this and as a result, admittedly he has gotten better--but John's handling of the situation was abysmal.  I don't think getting a gold star pinned on your chest and thread pinned on the forum is a good response to what started out simply as justification of disruptive behavior.

I have had all good transactions on the forums and aside from spats with (dicks) like tecshare and charliecontent I've been on fairly good behavior the entire time I've been here and resent being called a spammer by someone who (obviously) won't bother to do a quick search on my name.  I'd love to see some progress in the way we handle things here, we need stronger mods but we also need effective and good ones or the point is moot.

The forum policy allows freedom of speech posts like he did. You may notice that we're lax on post deletion front - virtually only spam posts are deleted. As for what tomatocage did - he's been reducing the scamming reports by a ton after he started posting warnings. You won't imagine how much reports I was getting daily before tomatocage started to give his warnings proactively - at one point I myself started to place warnings on painfully obvious threads simply to prevent noobs from being scammed. So far I've been mostly only getting reports from scammers against him so I think he's doing a pretty good job there.

Also, we'd ban MPOE-PR or even Micon first if the forum went with your suggestion - they're bigger 'trolls' following your definition than tomatocage. However, they're indeed helping the community in a way by policing the businesses and voicing their warnings. We're thankful for that.
2014  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades on: April 29, 2013, 12:09:19 AM
You could set your bot to cancel previous bids as per the auction rules. They'll have to post their bids in a single post like what Hiroaki did.  Smiley

Shipping is free?
And if yes, is tracking number available? By dhl, airmail, other?
Yes, it's DHL if I'm not wrong. The last 10 blades were all received all over the world under a week from the auction end. (more accurately 3-4 days) Unless you're living in the poles or Mars I'd have no qualms with the shipping.  Grin
2016  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades on: April 28, 2013, 11:55:24 PM
Another bug - Vjain has only the 2 bids.  Tongue your bot probably picked the 4 bid up when I mistakenly updated the list yesterday.

Also, you could set it to update every half hour or so if there's new bids, and make a new update per page at least. That'll get the best of both worlds, and will not seem too spammish. Thanks again!  Grin

2018  Economy / Services / Re: TESTERS NEEDED (BTC-escrow Bank) on: April 28, 2013, 11:46:35 PM
they didnt secure it in a very good way then.

We are going to try 3 simple steps, but helps your money be safe:

 - All funds are deposited into BANK-WALLET#1, but using different ID's for every deposit. Helps us identify how much belongs to who, and automatically updates your account when there are enough confirmation
 - Every 3 hours, there is a automatic transfer to BANK-WALLET#2, leaving only a pre-set amount of bitcoins in BANK-WALLET#1
 - BANK-WALLET#2 is then splits the amount again, into 5 different wallets, those wallets are stored offline.

Each of those 5 Wallets, is stored on a Seperate USB Stick, and Paper copy.

This is not 100% safe, but those are only a few of the security measures that has to be in place

What about the administrator, who is anonymous with a new forum account?  What security is there in place to stop him from just disappearing with all the deposited coins?

I personally wont be dealing with no transactions, i have a team to do that, and it works on a buddy system, so if person#1 makes a change to customer#222's file in any kind of way, it has to be approved from person #2 in  one of our 3 other offices chosen at random and anonymously. not to mention everything is kept a track of, as soon as someone enters your file it is automatically noted. They are required to leave a note about why they were in the file for etc.
I can view and cancel any transaction. but i personally, cannot change the amount or edit the accounts. I can save wallets, and store them in a 2 person mini vault if that makes people feel more confortable about there money

Can you and your team identify yourself then? People need to know who they're entrusting their funds with as without clarification this might as well be a one man team. I don't want to receive a ton of scamming accusations in the future so the best way is to start confirming the details before the service starts.
