2021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Touching the life of random poor kids with all my 3wks campaign BTC on: August 20, 2022, 09:17:34 PM
Great stuff op. Always great to see these random acts of kindness sprinkled around in this forum. Personally, I liked the one that said "Bitcoin has come to stay". I have no idea what Indomie Noddles means though.

What's different about this thread is the fact that you specifically mentioned the campaign that you worked with and thanked them. Wonder if they know about this thread.
This proves that if you are born with a kind heart, then it won’t be hard for you to help other people even with your own small amount of penny. The act that you leave to them might also motivate them in the future to help poor kids because they know exactly how a poor kid feels having nothing. Moreover, the campaign that you mentioned might be very flattered too if they become aware knowing they were a tool for helping those poor kids in the street.
2022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Either Bitcoin will end or we will be at the peak of inflation on: August 20, 2022, 08:49:50 PM
When you predict Bitcoin will end or completely died and at the same time predict Shiba Inu will reach $1 while the current price is just $0.00001601 aren't make sense. If Bitcoin become dead coin, I believe there's no coins can survive which is also the end of cryptocurrency.

After 13 years Bitcoin created and there's so many coins out there have been created, but still not exceed Bitcoin. This mean most of cryptos were created already failed.
The death of bitcoin marks the end of all crypto coins, and eventually the crypto market will never be the same again. However, it’s impossible for bitcoin to see it dead because the more years that come, the more popular bitcoin become, and so it’s demand increases too due to high interests of people. Shitcoins will always end in death, and it has been proven a lot of times.
2023  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 19, 2022, 08:26:35 PM
As a result of the difficult economic times, do you consider that there will be more women entrepreneurs competing with men in this field which it so looks like they currently dominate?
Honestly in todays time, we can say that the equality has been there and the problem about the subject of women vs men has started to be off and not sensitive topic anymore.

It's because whatever men does, women tend to do it and that's just equal. But I think, that it's not all about competition but many women won't be a housewife material anymore.

They can do whatever we do and being an entrepreneur, they can do that as well and those that are struggling will do whatever it takes for them to survive.

So, if we see more women shifting into being entrepreneurs, it doesn't really matter IMO.
Women are more empowered these days as they can do equally whatever men are capable to do. Except for heavy construction jobs, but when it comes to entrepreneurship, there are still some women who dominate the world of business because they got more the power and intelligence than men. However, competition is not the focus here, but I believe with both men and women having good skills in entrepreneurship, they can build great partnership for the success of the business.

2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: August 18, 2022, 09:55:08 PM
The problem is, have you ever thought of new ideas for future use cases, such as receiving a salary in bitcoin at your workplace or maybe as a means of payment for public transportation?
It's part of its use case. There have been companies or freelance markets that do issue and pay their workers with bitcoin. That's not actually a new thing and it's just part of bitcoin as a use case.
You'll see those coffee shops that have QR codes if you want to pay them bitcoin. Honestly, IMO, we're just getting started and more merchants and stores are starting to become open to it as a payment and that is because they like the idea of owning bitcoin. They'll get paid by it and then they hold it as an investment.
I have always heard news that some stores are already accepting bitcoin as a payment option, sadly it’s not yet happening in my own place. But I know eventually as more people are now interested in bitcoin ownership, then it will also open opportunities like store owners to accept bitcoin payment as it also gives them chances to own and invest into bitcoin as business minded persons will always think of more profits coming into their way.
2026  Economy / Economics / Re: Tips to save my finances, to grow personal economy on: August 18, 2022, 09:32:23 PM

simple life but still fun.

maybe you can add tips from your experience all.

Thank You.
Nothing comes in easy
I think most of the time people get the financial freedom after a hard hit on them - they become tough and more rigid with their financial dealing and with the people. Happend with me not sure about other.
There are always hard times first and even sacrifices before they learned it the hard way, that’s when financial freedom follows. However, it’s not only finances that needs to become stable and productive, but we need also to prioritize our health first before anything else. As we always heard from the people that health is wealth, so we should also invest in it and live a healthy lifestyle.
2027  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 15, 2022, 08:08:36 PM
The struggle between the decision of being your own boss and working under someone is becoming more difficult to make as economic situations become tougher. From evaluation around me, self proclaimed entrepreneurs are quitting entrepreneurship because of difficulty in maintaining a business and reduced sales due to reduced purchasing power from people, an effect of the economic situation. Office workers on the other hand who also have been on one salary grade for a long time now are becoming fed up with how their monthly salary is no longer sufficient to secure a comfortable lifestyle for a month also due to the higher cost of living. What do you think is the way forward?
Maybe it is a difficult decision to keep running our own business or remain an office worker because it depends on how we feel about it. If we are a businessman, we must try to find innovations or creative ideas that can develop our business or look for other business opportunities so that our business can become bigger. Meanwhile, if we are office workers, maybe we need another job besides being an office worker so that it can help us to earn extra money. Many of my friends are office workers but they also have side businesses and even the results they get are greater than what they make as office workers. Maybe we have to be observant to be able to take advantage of the opportunities available around us so that we can develop the potential we have.
If we always keep doing what we used to do, then we will never see improvements after all. The best thing to do is never settle for anything less, always get out from your comfort zone and explore better opportunities that will help you get out from your current financial status. Although it does not mean leaving your day job completely as it would be somewhat risky, but always make sure to engage in side businesses that are proven effective because its highly in demand. That way, you don't have to choose whether to stick to your office job or shift to entrepreneurship.
2028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of BTC ever hit $40k again? on: August 15, 2022, 07:35:42 PM
I wish to ask do you think the price of Bitcoin will ever hit $40k again?
In my personal opinion,  I would say yes,  it is highly possible for the price of bitcoin to hit $40k again,  but when this is going to happen is what no body knows.
It can happen in about a week from now,  it can happen in one month,  it can be in a year or it might even take up to five years before we see bitcoin trading at a price of $40k and above.
That's how uncertain bitcoin is, but we know for sure that it will always bound for a greater heights, we just have to trust the process and never be bothered with its price volatility. In fact, $40k is not that really high, but seeing the current value of bitcoin still in $23k-$24k range, then maybe its not easy for bitcoin to move that forward particularly the market is still in bearish condition. But when the market turns bullish, everything will be possible for bitcoin.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 15, 2022, 07:04:24 PM
Its good to know that there's a rematch because this is the chance for Ancajas to regain the world title again. In their last fight, Ancajas is lacking of defense and power punches, it seems like he's not in good condition or should I say not prepared at that time. Well, I hope he will redeem himself because he is just starting to establish his name and not yet had a strong opponent aside from Martinez.

He really needs to put his heart and be motivated to get back what he had lost in their last fight to gain back the momentum of his life to push his dream to become a legendary boxer like Manny Pacquiao. Anyway, this is really a big fight for him and I'm sure he trained a lot to get ready for this fight and we might gonna see a different version of him, stronger and have some good strategy on how to beat Martinez, hope that it will work for him.
This is another opportunity for him to prove that he deserved to be the champion and no one else. Although he had lost from Martinez in their previous game, but if he can improve his skills and prepare himself more to gain back what he lost, i think it will help him beat Martinez this time. This is a big fight for Ancajas and all Filipinos are all set to support him, so he should make them proud by bringing home the bacon this time.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau's Casino Operation Continues Despite The Latest Outbreak on: August 15, 2022, 06:04:18 PM
They are now will reopen prior to the recent lockdown due to low gambling activity in there casino towards the covid-19 lockdown. This is always the dilemma of country that has a huge gambling economy. They are now risking the health of there citizen just to get back again the profit from there gambling business. I think this will make worst there current covid-19 situation.

I think that the health of local residents will suffer much more if the restrictions continue to work and the economy continues to stagnate. In my opinion, in 2022 it is no longer relevant to talk about the dangers of the virus, since it has mutated into a much milder form than before and has become no more dangerous than a common cold. Life goes on as usual and there is always some risk, but you can not endlessly "safely" sit at home and do nothing.
Living with this pandemic has become a new norm to us, and so people are free to go outside their homes again. People continue to earn for a living, while gamblers are now seen inevitable going in the casinos to gamble, and both are at risk with health dangers as covid-19 has not gone completely. I guess in case with Macau, if the casino's profits are giving huge benefits to all the residents living in the country, and stopping its operation would mean a collapse for the country's economy, then maybe the reason why the government cannot forcely close this casino, otherwise the country will suffer another financial breakdown.
2031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese Animation Slot Machines on: August 15, 2022, 08:56:26 AM
Would you gamble on them?
If i love slots, I will not worry so much about the kind of slots game I play, I may have a favourite that i love to play regularly, but say my favourite is not available, I will be willing and excited trying out a new slot machines, I think this is the same for other slot lovers.
The fact that all slot games are luck based, so whatever type of animation you are currently  referring to, still it’s a game of chance and luck. If you’re not lucky, you will play badly and eventually lose the game after. Maybe for slot lovers, these will look new to their eyes and enjoy the game, but sadly i’m not a fan of slot games.
2032  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: August 15, 2022, 08:26:03 AM
~

I had some interesting wins around $2k - $2.5k but unfortunately I have never had such spectacular wins.
It's hard to believe that you can win millions if you risk a few dozen cents or a few dollars. But I think this statistic is not about the total amount someone risked, but about the one-time bet that brought him that win. In fact, theoretically, these people could have played for years and lost in the past a much larger amount than they won  Wink Grin
Gamblers mostly lose huge amount first before winning incredibly. You’re just too lucky if you only bet for now and then you eventually hit the jackpot, you’re just too lucky that when you start chasing your luck, you end up losing them all and all your profits have eventually returned to the house. And it’s not small bettors but certainly high rollers were able to take the biggest wins, as they also risk huge amount of money hoping to win the jackpot prize.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: August 14, 2022, 11:32:14 PM

The story sucks to be honest. First of all because of the percentage you mention, but is there that much difference between $5,000 and $27,000? If he had said that $5,000 got him $500,000, it would seem to me to be a considerable difference.

And besides, it was the only way he could get that $22,000 difference? I don't know, maybe taking a loan to invest in his company would have made more sense.

I think when you keep gambling using borrowed money it's like committing suicide because there is no guarantee you can get a profit from gambling, it's better if you still need money to gamble, then you work and look for money and as much money as possible you use it for gambling. Gambling is not based on debt or the like because when you lose you will lose and be depressed.
That’s the reality about gambling, it takes a lot of money to lose first before you see yourself winning from it. So it’s still more on losses actually, except for those who are really lucky that at a single bet, they end up winning the jackpot instantly, but that’s very rare to happen. Most especially when you gamble from a loan money, that will put yourself in an even worst situation. Not only you will lose and become depressed, but others tend to end their lives through suicidal because they can’t bear the situation anymore.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you stop gamble if your girl friend insists ? on: August 14, 2022, 11:10:21 PM
It is common things many girls didn’t like gamble and They always pressure there boy friend  to stop gamble . coz they think gamble is a bad habit .but here i like gambling a lot i will never stop gamble gamble if my girl friend insists me he he
Gambling is really a bad habit . so i think it is better for everyone stop gamble . Gambling can completely end a person's life in an instant. Gambling is a bad addiction so it is best to stay away from it. i will definitely stop gambling if my girl friend insists me.
For me, it still depends on the situation. I would not stop gambling literally if I know in myself that I am only gambling just for entertainment and I’m only gambling my extra money. My girlfriend might be unreasonable if she still insists stopping me from gambling. However, if she sees that I’m already addicted from gambling and that I mostly run out of money because I always lose in gambling, maybe I will agree with my girlfriend this time. I will stop gambling eventually, before I ruined our relationship.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your General Feeling After Playing In Casino In the last 10 session on: August 14, 2022, 10:32:51 PM
I'm always excited to come back after my sessions and the majority of my sessions are like that I experienced winning in my first minutes then losing everything then regaining half of my wager then losing it all, the feeling of enjoyment is like a roller coaster ride you win you want to quit but you want to continue the excitement, I'm just glad that I'm using money that I'm comfortable losing, which should always be the case.
There's always a feeling of excitement in gambling every time we gamble because we always hope to be lucky and win the bets. Although its not that all the time we won and make profits, as we end up losing in most of the time, but the fact that we only gamble in moderation and only gamble the amount we can afford to lose, that makes it more exciting to come back to gamble again. I guess in all gamblers out there, once we experienced winnings at first, that's enough reason to become excited to gamble again.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sources of gambling news on: August 14, 2022, 09:59:48 PM
I was wondering if there are reliable sources of gambling news.
For example, we have sites for political news, fashion news, sports news, weather news, and so on but I never come across sites where there is gambling-related news.
Will appreciate it if anyone shares the gambling new sources as it will be additional beneficial for the gambling community.

There are a lot of news sources available for gambling. Few of them are mentioned by lionheart78 in the above post.  Some more sites are

https://www.ndtv.com/topic/online-gambling

https://www.nytimes.com/topic/subject/gambling

However, i ask you a question why would you need to read gambling news? These news articles won't help you in gambling.
There are a lot of reliable sources if you want. Even the one posted above can give us the news that we want to know in gambling. But that won't make a difference at all. Most of them are just focused on the current events mostly in sports. So that won't still give you hints how to make profits from gambling. If you want to know how to maximize your wins from gambling, i'm afraid you can't do that because the more you gamble, the more visible losses are as the house always has the advantage to win.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Problem Gambler Feels After Losing on: August 14, 2022, 09:46:12 PM
Join Community, are most people addicted to gambling because they are anti-social people? It's not easy to change the habits of a person who doesn't have a social life and then join a community for any reason, especially if that person is already addicted.
Feelings will be even more depressed when the money used is completely exhausted because don't have the money to go back to chasing what have lost.

Do we have counseling sessions for gamblers where they are taught how to control their risk, and how to control their emotions after a loss or a win? No, we don't have.

How can we expect the majority of gamblers to behave like a professional and not regret or chase losses when there is no governing body to teach them? We don't provide any sort of tutorials to gamblers and accept them to be clever and intelligent enough to solve all their problems on their own.
It's more on self-admission. Once they admit it, they will be given proper treatment by the medical practitioners that are intended to help them. And with the assistance of their family and friends, the treatment becomes easier and faster for them. But i don't think they will gamble again after that, but if they still do that, i guess they should be responsible gamblers and only gamble in moderation.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 14, 2022, 09:25:05 PM
Myth 12: Gambling Problems Cannot Be Treated.

There is an old saying in the world of addiction. Life will end in prison, rehab, or death unless the disease is caught.
It is not easy to cure a gambling addict and only an expert, family and close friends can cure him through a long process and time and with real intentions.
And it will only be treated and healed only when the gambler itself admits to himself that he has already become addicted. That way, he will be given proper treatment and medication, and he will recover easily once his family and loved ones are also supportive on him. Although a lot of gamblers have been encountering addiction, but they surely survive as because they wanted to and that they don't want to stay addicted forever.
2039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 13, 2022, 10:32:08 PM
Continuous learning is the key, the market changes from time to time and we should be more flexible with our strategy since one is not enough and might not give profit to you if you didn't adopt.

Mastering the movement is not easy, I can say that no traders can master this one since its a day to day basis and what happened today might not happen tomorrow, so again be flexible learn everything about trading and use many strategy as much as possible depends on the situation.
Just deal every market condition rightly and ride with it, that way you will not lose everything you have. Mastering the market movement and knowing what will happen next is something we can’t do in this uncertain crypto market, but with proven strategies that you have, you will still become profitable despite of the bear market happening. As bear market has less chances to become profitable, but if you are good enough, then bear market is not an excuse not to make massive profits.
2040  Economy / Economics / Re: Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? on: August 13, 2022, 09:54:29 PM
Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? Without it, the adoption would never be able to realise its full potential.

The crypto payment industry is continually growing. Nonetheless, recognition is not at the top of the list. As is customary, there are Bitcoin maximalists who refuse to spend their cryptocurrency on things.

Some people, however, are taking advantage of the cashback chances offered by cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency cards. I realise that cryptocurrencies and blockchain are only a small portion of the public, but why are those who are currently interested not using bitcoin for payment?

So, do you use cryptocurrency or crypto cards? What are your thoughts on it if you use it? If not, what's the deal?
Crypto enthusiasts will really love the idea to spend crypto and use it as a payment system as long as their country too is crypto friendly and that crypto payment is widely accepted. Otherwise, the government will call the attention of those stores who did not follow their laws and will be subject for investigation. And people should also be educated that crypto is legit and not a tool for scams.
