Ok. uray pools is totally unreliable. I left to other pool.

Suppose that burst price rise about to 4000 sat, how many people will continue to hold them?
Not me. I will be tempted to sell way below this price. I can never hold until it hits 4k. Just too temping to sell along the way. It will go 4k if a whale hold 90% of coin and i will be the one feeding it. Anyway , 4k is not possible now unless burst replace litecoin (but sometimes alt coin do things that seems impossible e.g dogecoin when wolong is around). However, going back to "touch" 1k is a better guess which can happen within 6 months from now (i am betting within 6 months there will be breakthrough on burst feature) There will be MANY changes within 6 months. The BURST community will definitely see 1k pretty soon, and I don't think 4k is out of sight, but not for 6-8 months or more. But I'm preparing for all of this!  |

So, is it possible to further decentralize the mining? Something P2Pool like.. except built directly into the coin? Maybe going so far as saying that if you meet this difficulty then you are allowed to mine a whole block, if you meet a different difficulty than you can submit something to the network that allows you to be rewarded a piece of the block reward? Of course miners wouldn't want to include other miner's proof into their blocks if that means that it cuts into their pay. But, maybe reserve 50% of the coin for these lesser miners transactions that prove they did their share of the work even if they didn't win this block? 50% of that 50% (so 25% of the total) of the coin goes toward these other miners IF they include enough transactions to fill the other 25% of their block rewards with miners. Maybe there is some other scheme? Anyway something to bounce around.. would be nice if there were some way to build further decentralization into the core by providing that luck smoothing there instead of requiring you to join a pool in order to get it. Could be that when you plot you are required to include your pool id into the plot as well as your own wallet address and maybe somehow that is automatically used for splitting up funds? That's something Proof of Work couldn't copy... I think burst is one of the most easily decentralized already, seeing as the mining is done with something that 99% of people these days have. |

I just sold some awesome ddr4 though in the US- I know, I was looking at that too, but I don't have a board for it, I just got a 2011 original board, and I had a 3960X but it got fucked by a shit intel board, and now I'm out all that cash because I bought used. Bad bad bad. So now I have to replace the 2011 processor, but If I could get a combo like this with a v3 board, for sure~! |

Hi,
I had a problem during a file plot generation the process has been end and the file plot was not complete.
Is it possible calculate basing an file dimensione the totale number of nonces and rename the file with this number ?
Will have some problem on mining pool ?

You need to rename the "nonces to go" number, in order to do that you just need to divide the total number of BYTES by 262144. Then you'll get your new number. |

If you move it to another computer, it has to replot or is initial plotting different then the plotting you mentioned after moving it? Or is that like a consistency check?
What sort of hardware do you need for GPU plotting or will integrated suffice? I saw ram mentioned, does the CPU speed matter?
How do you make sure nonce's don't overlap? How would they overlap if they're on two different drives?
If you're solo mining, is it better to have a bunch of drives in raid so it will have a bigger plot and thus be more likely to find a solution?
If you have a bunch of hard drives hooked up to a computer that you want to plot on do you need a instance of the program running for each one?

You do not need to replot when moving. I used a nice 270x to plot, and it worked nicely. nonces do not overlap if you make sure you understand how they work, posted in my guide above. I would say do not do RAID, unless you don't care about one drive failing causing the whole setup to fail. It depends on the miner you're using, I just added instructions for Blago's miner in my guide, that one only needs one instance. The java miner needs multiple instances. |

So still thinking about getting into poc, but I'm still rather confused by the process even after reading guides.
Does using more then one GPU increase plot speed? Do you only need one to really do it well? What are the CPU requirements? Can you use a onboard GPU for GPU plotting?
After you plot it doesn't use the GPU anymore correct? If you have more then one drive hooked up to the same computer, do you need more then one instance of the program open for each HD? Can you plot on one computer and then transfer the HD to another to have it run? What are the feasible limitations of storage on one computer (can you have a bunch of USB HDs hooked up to hubs and be fine)?
You cannot plot with more than one GPU per plot. You can, however, use two GPUs to plot two plots at once. Yea, after you plot, you no longer use the gpu for anything, that is until someone codes a faster miner on GPU (something that could maybe alleviate CPU usage, but it's not like other GPU miners, because the power is still in the data (plot files)) You can plot on one pc and move the hdd to another to mine, yes. Just make sure you plot with the same account ID, and DONT OVERLAP NONCES. You need a good amount of RAM if you're going to mine on a bunch of space on single machine. With Windows I just take the size of the windows file and divide it by 256. So if my windows plot is 256,000,000 in file size then the plot should be named "account number"_"plot start"_1000000_"hash size (which when optimized to the max should also be 1000000)" 123456789_123456789_1000000_1000000 as an example of a fully optimized 256gig plot. 256,000,000 is 1000000 512,000,000 is 2000000 1,024,000,000 is 4000000 etc, etc..... Yea, I thought that was what I did, but for some reason Blago's miner is still skipping the plot files. |
