Haven't clicked your links, but I've got an open air case I'd be willing to part with I think.

if you're interested let me know and I'll clean it up and take some pics. (not that it is dirty, just been sitting around in my garage for a while since I've been mining on HDDs only aside from random ASICs.)
1122  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pre-ANN draft] Crowetic Computers - Investment op - REAL company, REAL asset. on: March 05, 2016, 11:18:51 AM
In the process of reworking things a bit, seems the regulations are a bit different than I'd hoped.

it's alright though, certainly won't slow me down. Just working out a new way to present things to fit within the scope of regulation.

There will be a rework post here upon said change implementation.

Business is going well, as expected, and I still do expect that to keep up, just have to find a bit of a modification to my ideas that will work out a little better.

Good work with the mobile development guys.

@anyone on QORA team... would you guys be interested in running another ACCT with me and BURST, so we can show the process on a video? (I would need instruction, and various whatnots, but I could do the video upon completing said instructions.)

I am doing a lot for BURST and want to start including QORA in as much as possible. Let me know! Thanks!
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: March 05, 2016, 10:07:17 AM
[ANN BurstETHER]

Since there wasn't any Ethereum representation in Burst, I`ve created BurstETHER, which will represent Ethereum on the Burst blockchain. BurstETHER is a gateway asset between Ethereum and Burst, and it's backed 1:1 by Ethereum. All Bursts collected from selling BurstETHER will be used to purchase real Ethereum to maintain the backing. The sale price of BurstETHER will be pegged to Ethereum's real price and adjusted frequently to match it (since bitcoin is the middleman between Burst and Ethereum, the price may not always be perfectly accurate).

The BurstETHER tokens can be redeemed for real Ethereum as well, by contacting me, or by an automatic gateway system that I`m in the process of setting up now, which will let you convert BurstETHER directly into Ethereum. There will be a 2% comission charged on every Ethereum sale that will be my profit.

ROADMAP:

PHASE 1: Starting to sell BurstETHER and converting it into Ethereum which will be held in a cold storage

PHASE 2: Setting up an automatic gateway/exchange address system between BurstETHER and Ethereum, so that investors can exchange them between eachother

PHASE 3: Setting up a website with nice visual interface so that the process can become user-friendly, but anonymous and without the need to register

PHASE 4: Using Ethereum's smart contract system to link more assets from Burst into Ethereum, and test the limits of Etherum by which it can be used to help Burst

INFO:

Fees: 2% comission on buying Ethereum
Price: 72,000 BURST / BurstETHER (Current price 10.18$)

I appreciate the fact that youre taking an interest in the BURST AE, and I think your idea has good potential for arb, and more... That being said, would you mind giving us a bit more information on yourself? I am usually a large holder in new asses, but due to too many of them becoming scams, I'm much more leary about throwing my money in the direction of anyone anon...

Hopefully you can understand this and will release some more info and make the community feel confident. Thanks!

Thanks daWallet as always!

The asset payout for ByteEnt is going to be a big one this month, with the extra close to 300k that was what I gave for the bonus, plus the extra from the blunder last month. Total payout about is 969,000 BURST!

I'm working on the processing of it now. Will post an update upon completion. Smiley Thank you as always for your trust and support, and stay tuned for more exciting information from Byte Enterprises!

edit - payouts complete for ByteEnt.

Another bounty, for some reason all of my bounties are not being picked up, so I'll probably be listing more info on them in a single location here soon, as the OP seems to not get much attention. lol.

Those are great news! I am a proud investor of ByteEnt asset and will continue to invest more into it as it looks very promising. About the pictures you've posted earlier, I would like to say that it is a really nice HDD setup you got there. And the cloud platform (cloud.crowetic.com) is getting pretty interesting as well. Good job!  Cheesy

Heh. Thanks! Hope you enjoy owning ByteEnt as much as I enjoy running it. Gives me reasons to buy massive amounts of Hard drives, totally okay with me! xD

But my setup is nothing compared to say, Vax, or haitch. Though I'm really good at Frankensteining stuff together, haha. You should see the GPU this thing is currently using to mine (I think it's in the pictures, the GPU itself is old, but the way I have it running outside the case of the rackserver, with External Internal PSU and 4 USB3 controller cards with cables everywhere and drives all over the place, just makes me smile.

I`m now finishing setting up my storage and am beginning to construct a gateway for my upcoming asset.

I dont want to reveal yet, but it's going to be a very innovative one, that will definitely help BURST getting attention from altcoin investors.

It is very exciting.Stay tuned!

Hello cryptic posting newbie. I hope you're ready to give some real information, and by that, I mean on yourself, before releasing any assets, no matter how awesome they may be.... The BURST community is getting tired of anonymous people coming through starting assets, then vanishing never to be seen again.

That being said, hopefully we will be as excited as you are, upon the news.

We are indeed doing our best, and there is A LOT going on behind the scenes, some of which I cannot share quite yet.

Though, I will be doing my best over the next weeks to get more information together in a place that is easily found. Though, do take a look at the OP, there is quite a bit there.

@Frilled - Unfortunately, it does look not so great for Income, and being a large holder myself I'm not too pleased.

On the other hand...

ByteEnt will be preparing to do its payout today or tomorrow, as I'm so busy with all the things I'm in the middle of, there's not nearly enough hours in the day for me!

But my new 10TB in mining power is plotting as we speak, for the ByteEnt asset miner, this should show a nice increase to the support and thus price here soon. Hopefully ByteEnt can make up for the errors of other asset creators in thinking that doing scam style behavior is the way to go...

nothing shows proof like pics!

ByteEnt has and forever will be a solid asset that you can trust, backed by a non-anonymous business owner who is fully in the front lines and backs both his projects and BURST 200%.

I'm truly excited to do some of the announcements that I have planned for the future, truly excited.

ByteEnt will likely be adding another boost to its mining power very soon on top of the 10TB that is currently being plotted. So stay tuned. Invest in what is open, honest, and has never done any wrong. (well, unless you consider the payment blunder last time, that will be accounted for during this payout coming up, something wrong.)

ByteEnt payouts will include a 175k bonus paid from my own coin this month, as a thank you, and an apology for the error in payment processing last month.

I'm sorry I've not been posting here as much lately, I'm working on the modifications of my new asset, and structure therein, as to have yet another positive ann for people in the near future.

If anyone would like to assist in the information gathering from the other thread, I'm definitely willing to kick down a bonus BURST payout to them. I will start the thing off right now and say I'll give 100k BURST to the next 5 people who deliver 10 unique items with relevant information from the other thread, and their links, to me. Best way to submit this to me, is in the form of a google doc with relevant info, the link, and whatever else you may find useful attached to the concept in the link. Present 10 to me, get 100k BURST right then and there. Thanks!

-[ANNOUNCEMENT]- ByteEnt Asset Announcement!

Hey everyone, figure it has been a little while since I've done a new update on the things I'm working on within ByteEnt scope, so thought it was about time to do so. Smiley

Having a bit of extra funding lying around, (well, not EXTRA just... a bit of funding. Haha...) I have decided to ...

-Add 5x2 TB drives to my mining power for the Asset Miner Smiley Yea, you're adding it up right, that means, 10TB more mining power will soon be plotted into the ByteEnt asset miner (named BURSTCITY1 in burst.ninja's pool statistics page...)

Yes, there is a reason I have decided to go with 2TB drives, and no it was not random. lol. The reason is, this will effectively fill up the empty spaces in the rackservers I  have at my home, which only currently support 2TB max. Not to mention I got an extremely good deal on them.

I will likely be adding more to the miner soon as well, and there may be a few new surprises ahead for ByteEnt too! So, don't all go running off to buy the asset right now or anything! Wink

Happy mining, and assetting (yea, it's a word, I promise...) BURST community!

Will be back to post a pic for some 'proof' here in a second. Gonna go take them. Thanks!

The only thing i can think about mining with your HDD is that it would be very unhealthy for the drive, then people are going to say their hard drive failed.

Actually, it is EXTREMELY easy on  your drives, not a single person in the over a year BURST has been around has mentioned anything near BURST being bad for their drives, and myself personally, every single one of the drives I mine with still works as if it were brand new.

If you think about it, you're only using the drive for a few seconds every 4 minutes or so, it's hardly as bad as actually using them for data, and it doesn't use them near to their potential or stress them out in the slightest.

If you do some mining for yourself, maybe you'll see what I mean Wink

Dear Burstcoin Devs, Management and Community, Hello

SuperNet may stop using NXT for their asset management in the near future because of some disagreements over upcoming upgrades to the NXT platform. Has there been any discussions between the Burst management team and their SuperNet counterparts over possibly using the Burst AE as an alternative solution? Would the Burst team and community be interested if such an offer came up?

thank you

I've reached out to Jl777 regarding this, hopefully this could be the start of a beautiful friendship. Smiley

I figured it was about time for me to jump into the QORA community, considering we're basically related, being the first to have done a cross-chain transfer together.

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I've started up a CF to be dontated to vbcs in order to help with his ambition in helping implement more towards ACCT and the other AT projects.

vbcs is a wonderful dev, and I don't want to see him lose faith in us, the communities of the coins he's helped, thinking we don't care for him...

I will accept donations in any poloniex coin or BTC and donate every single bit to vbcs!

Here's a shot of what is in the BURST CF AT thus far!

Hope to see much contact to help these devs, starting with vbcs, and moving on to any others in related projects, get these ground breaking technologies implemented, and off the ground! Thank you to all of the amazing developers involved in this team, and BURST, and all AT developers!

dcct tools for Android alpha

To demonstrate you a Proof of Concept that Burst is so green that you can even mine it on your phone:

I ported plotting and mining tools (dcct_tools) to Android.

These screenshots are taken from my phone. It's not an emulator.

As you see my 'old' 2013 Xperia Z is plotting over 200 nonces/minute. Sometimes it jumped to 400 nonces/minute.
Phones of today have CPUs three times as fast! There was no overheating or other side-effects. Thermal policy seems to work perfectly.

Mining has almost no impact on CPU at all, but I have to test more - and get a bigger SD Card Wink

I did this to show you that Burst is really Crypto 2.0 - it will run on future generation low power hardware everyone can afford. Phones, Tablets, Convertibles ...

Tomorrow I'll write a guide how to do it.

https://github.com/dawallet/burst_arm_tools

Awesome work man! I can't wait to see what can be done with this... I'm already wondering... 8TB external drive, attached to a phone through a usb adapter... haha. Ultra green burst miner. Just plot with a computer.

Mining with mobile phone will make a great headline for Burst. I bet it will be the first to do it. We might even get major news site to publish this news. It will make excellent PR for Burst.

Awesome work Smiley

But it also highlights the lack of strategic promotional planning. Not only should a Press Release be published as soon as possible and distributed to the crypto sites, but long term you need to establish relationships and keep in touch with a few writes and inform them what's going on. Of course they want to be first with a thing like this (even if buggy)

A guide is important but to work on getting the news out is, in this, phase much more significant.

Would the nxt comment be true, that is huge for a reporter. Just send the post to a few writers and let them do the work whether it's true or not.

Oh yea, you ARE aware that we DO accept help from the community, right? Also, that the 'team' is just a slightly more 'dedicated' group of community members. Just sayin'.

But yes, I was busy the last few days and this ninja launch for this droid miner has taken me as surprised as the rest, but fear not, for I will soon get with daWallet, and discuss key features, and there will be writeups, oh yes, there will be. xD

I'm also thinking though, some sort of Video promotion might be nice for this, So maybe I setup this miner on my phone, and 'go pro' with it? Wink (catch my fancy camera-reference?) But yea, do not fear all, the alpha release of this miner is ninja'd, but there will definitely be a non-lack of promotional stuffs in the near future in regards to this!

ALSO

To the one coming in here talking about SuperNET dropping NXT and interested in BURST, that IS what you said, isn't it? If it is, WE ARE DEFINITELY INTERESTED, and I just need some idea of who to get in contact with, and I'll reach out, for SURE!
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: February 20, 2016, 05:37:09 AM
Well, it was sorta a stealth release, I didn't get notified ahead of time, but it's never too late for a promotional write-up. So don't worry! It can and will be done, I'll get with our master daWallet, and speak to him about what should be listed upon this release of press, and it shall be done!

I'm also thinking now might be a nice time to hire a team to promote things for us, I've got one who doesn't cost much at all, and will likely get some decent results, at least it will get out there to the world.

But there are many other things going on in the BURST community, there will be much more that will need promotion. 2016 is the year of BURST! As I've been saying Wink

Another big 'great job and thank you!' to daWallet. I think you're going to be next for a CF AT starting there boss!

Hello, I got an idea of a shop that I would like to create and that would accept BURST. Do we have a payment processor that I would not be aware of, or can I accept payment throught AT (even if I don't really know what it is Cheesy) ?

Burst has a integrated shop, here you can sell your things. You should be able to transfer the information about the AT to your website. I'm almost 100% that we have 0 payment processors, not even Shapeshift as a payment processor.
You can check 2171942514119764562, i think it's a harddrive by Crowetic.

I know about this marketplace. However what I would like would be to be able to sell on my website. The profit that I'll do will be so tiny that it won't even be worth the time that I'll spend on it. That's just to give BURST a bit more of visibility, which wouldn't be achieved if I sell on the integrated marketplace.

I am not aware of a payment processor at this time, though with ACCT (cross chain transfer) it would be possible to pay with another coin that had AT implemented, and with the new additions that will be coming out soon, it should be possible with almost any coin. So hang in there, and we will be able to do that soon!

If you would like to accept BURST at your shop, why not just create duplicate items in your shop, on the BURST market, and link to them via your shop? you can link the marketplace explorer, because after all, the people who would be wanting to pay with BURST, should have BURST, right? then it would just be a matter of accepting the order itself through the BURST market.

oh, and if someone searches for the original atcrowdfund.html and doesn't find it (like me)
on CIYAM's git, it can be found in dawallet's burstwindowswallet. Here is the raw file:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet/master/burst_1.2.3/html/ui/atcrowdfund.html

and the lotteries.. just in case..

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet/master/burst_1.2.3/html/ui/atlotteries.html

Thank you! I didn't really even think of the non-Windows users, how ridiculous of me, as I do prefer the other OS's even if I do use Windows mostly.

Much appreciated, I will add these to the OP.

PS - I'm available right now if you would like to call!? If you're still interested in that. (guess this could have been a PM)
1139  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AT and CLTV - Truly disruptive technology! on: February 17, 2016, 07:19:43 PM
It should be noted that assuming the CF achieves its target on time then any further funds sent to that AT will effectively become donations (minus the small AT processing fee of course).

True, and should it be fulfilled in time, I will likely start another for general AT and other related development for BURST.

Here's where the AT is thus far, with my 500k donation...

I will not take up any more space in this thread, but I encourage everyone to donate to this, it isn't just a donation to help BURST, it is a donation to this project! Thank you!

daWallet i know i can install burst on my key(i fact i use a 1TB USB3 as my usb key), thing is i do not want to create a new directory in each computer i will use my usb key with, lets say i have 7 friends that lets me use their computer, this will create a directory in the 7 computer + if i do not want to reload all DB then i have to save them back on my key.

I don't think you're understanding...

You DO NOT need to create a directory on any computer, IF YOU USE the wallet from the git...

The only time you have to create a local folder, is if you're using THE GUI WALLET/PLOTTER/MINER from our friend and GUI developer daWallet.

So, what this means, is if you're not wanting to create a local directory, simply do not use that version of the wallet, and you're good to go... yes? Yes.

-----

Alternatively, (which I'm sure you'll find another issue with, but I'll say it anyway...) we DO HAVE a WEB WALLET as well, which, of course, doesn't require you to download a chain at all, as it is aptly named, and located ON THE WEB. So yea, there are many different options here that allows you to be as flexible as you please with the BURST wallet, and run it however your heart desires.

Personally, I find the web wallet to be easiest, as you never have to worry about downloading the chain and synchronizing any of it. But Alas, it's all up to however the user of BURST would like to do it. Why we give so many options, is exactly for a situation such as this.

-----

Oh, another thing, please, for questions like this... can you use the BURST SPECIFIC forum? We would appreciate that! Thanks! http://forum.burstcoin.info

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOW BACK TO SOME UPDATES ON PROGRESS---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a short time, the CF AT that has been started for the ACCT and other AT development (to be donated to vbcs) already has 700k+ BURST! Thank you to those who have already given, you're making BURST better with your contributions, and thank you to those who haven't donated yet, but are going to, BURST is a project that is run by people who are passionate about it, and it didn't have any premine, or instamine, or development fund or any such thing to provide any funds for the team that keeps it going and releases new things, so when we need to get some funds together, the way we do that, is with CF donations from the community!

I myself donated 500k, so don't start thinking that I don't have to donate, (even though I do give quite a bit of time and effort as well. Wink) because I also feel the need to help financially!

Here is what it looks like after 2 days barely! looking good! Let's keep going!
