1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: April 02, 2016, 06:19:34 PM

---

On a perhaps related note, what is the capacity on ninja? I only ask because some Confirmations seem extremely slow, sometimes up to a minute after the Deadline is submitted?

Rich

I would try to lower the level for accepted shares even more, making the submitted shares less.

I think they already did that once recently.

Yes good idea, doing the maths on 1555200 gives 18 Days which seems way to long.

On this same subject does anyone know when a Deadline becomes valid for possible payment? Is it timestamped on receipt and valid from that point or is it only timestamped and valid when the confirmation is sent?

If the latter then given the current delays this is quite a penalty?

Rich

On receipt. The confirmation of receipt may be delayed, but the deadline submission is processed on receipt of the submission.

Originally the deadline limit was 45 days, it was dropped down to 4.5 days, and has then been raised to balance the server load and the limits small miners can reach. We don't want to deter small miners with a short deadline limit, but with the influx of new miners we have to be aware of what the pool can handle.

H.

IMO we should go back to around 6 days. The little guys aren't going to get much if they get higher than that anyway, and the reduced load is much more beneficial to the rest of us.

The pool will soon be able to handle a lot more, there are some modifications that are going to be made shortly.

Going to go ahead and call this current version version 1.0, and this will be the version that will be given out after clone is done, which I hope to have handled this weekend. Then a clone will be given to a coder to work on, and then we will test it, then implement the pool. May even run a live beta, not 100% sure on that.

Thank you for your support so far! I won't spam this thread anymore about the CF but I want to tell you:

We decided to offer a perk for the guys who contribute 10.000 Burst or more: A newsletter 24 hours before release of each version. When you contributed, send me your Mail address and Burst Account as a personal message, so I can add you to the announcement newsletter.

I can't get to the crowdfunding either local or non with your wallet at the moment... the wallet at wallet.burst-team.us should have the crowdfunding I think... right?

not sure why my local isn't working on this machine, probably because I didn't setup the folder right... but I thought it was included with the installer?

edit: it was my fault because I had modified my ui folder and forgot the atcrowdfund.html

for anyone else missing this file, here it is...

https://cloud.crowetic.com/index.php/s/kIzJf7AisfxGETH

the file goes into your wallet\html\ui folder. Thanks!

edit2: my 500k as promised, has been donated. Thanks for everything DW!  Shocked Grin

Closing in 8PB fast without, as I understand, new miners joining. Are the newbies expanding their capacity?

I think that latest spike is largely accounted for by the 55 New Miners on ninja each with around 40TB, so 2PB. However will be interesting to see if it continues to grow. I guess it only needs a few of the Miners who dropped out earlier to come back and there is a lot of scope for further rapid growth?

Rich

As stated above, I know what is causing the growth, and it is the miners on my pool, and you can expect those accounts to grow a bit longer, I'm not exactly sure how much... but it is a dedicated group, and they are very pleased with the coin.

this seems really promising but who knows, i like to mine but not so much that i would jump on this before seeing how others do lol

Well, hate to say it, but you're a little late to the 'jumping on it before others do' party lol...

However, we welcome you kindly to the BURST community, I think you'll end up loving this coin above most all others, mine and hold, that is my advice at this time, take it or leave it.

-[ByteEnt asset announcement]-

The asset is doing extremely well due to the increase in size of the pool it is run by, burst.ninja. The pool is now so popular, I'm working on cloning it and giving it out to others who would like to run a pool. I don't like that it seems to have over 50%, especially since I happen to know first hand that it will be growing yet.

The asset miner brought in around 250k this month, not too shabby either! The total payout is around 750k without any extra bonuses for April!

This is good news, and I expect it to get much better, I have placed some sells much higher than they were before as there seems to be a lot of interest now, and I know it is worth more with the added power to the pool.

I'm also planning on adding much more mining power to the asset VERY soon. But to me, very soon is relative, so take that with a grain of salt. Though, you can expect my word to be true.

Thank you all for your support, and I'm very happy to be giving more good news here about the general welfare of the coin soon as well.

Rich, you are probably right, thanks Smiley

Very soon a two months trend without any significant PR:

Do the DevTeam have a common e-mail address? Could be handy when one want to reach you but unsure exactly who as well in communication with the press. Sorry if I've missed it.

Just wanted to write, saying you are doing a tremensous work. That very steddy trend is to a large part your trend Smiley

Thank you for your work!!

If you can't tell, we're doing a LOT of work behind the scenes. There will be more information as far as public stuff very soon, but BURST is to play a key role in a bunch of key things, and that my dear community, is a GOOD thing... be prepared for the price to NEVER go below 50, get in where you fit in. That's my only word on that.

As far as the email, I know we have one, but haitch will have to answer that (if he hasn't already, I didn't read below this message...)

You can also give anyone needing info my personal email and phone number easily found in my profile. Thanks!

-Jason  Smiley

Will the development also go towards the ARM miner for raspberry pi and XXX pi (like banana pi)? That would be really nice.  Grin
When you and your fellow devs are ready and creating mining software, we could fund a marketing budget and spread information about burst. It would be nice if we could get some articles on Coindesk, The Daily Decrypt or other crypto blogs. Right now, almost all  (If not all) news about burst goes unnoticed. I know it's a lot of crowfunds, but emm...  Undecided

My monthly asset post:
On a different note. I have sent payment to Vector and will be paying Margin soon. Margin made a total of ~0.05 BTC. Wink (Around 5% interest in uᴉoɔʇᴉq. More information on the forum after payout).

I have been thinking about creating a second asset with the same concept as Margin, still located on the Burst blockchain, but denominated in uᴉoɔʇᴉq. ( 1 asset = 1 BTC). I would like to know if there was interest in this type of asset?
The asset won't be issued on Burst exchange, because of the price could change rapidly, instead you need to contact me to get buy a share.
Why? Because there's a problem with Margin. It's stupid one and could be changed easily. When someone buys an asset from me I sold it 1% above the market. The problem appears if the price rises above the price, where I sold the Burst. To solve this problem I could do 3 things.
1: Create the second asset and keep the buyback at 45. (and hope nobody sells)
2: Create the second asset and change the buyback to 25 ( or anything lower)
3: Just remove the buyback.

Thanks for your understanding.

I'm interested in any asset you release.

Did anyone else notice how the burst price recovered
when Bitladen went offline? That guy dumped
everything that he mined.

So far the new accounts are holding their coins.

Maybe that could be because it isn't bit, he's already told me he finds BURST useless and pointless, so I assume he's done mining it, and has moved on.

But also, anyone selling BURST please contact me, because I'm stacking. haha.

The things are in place to make this coin what we all knew it could be. Just an FYI, and why I've been so busy lately.

Also, another FYI, I've quit my day job in preparation, I am now full time crypto, full time BURST. If this is any indication of what is to come, I suppose I'll let you be the judge.

@daWallet, I will be donating my promised 500k here shortly to your new CF. Thank you for using the BURST CF system Cheesy

@all - I've started a new 'blog' type site at http://crowetic.tech where I will be giving my normal cryptic messages about the future the way I see it, and what is going on.

Something is wrong. I base that primarily on the use of uray's miner. Someone uses tech to get an unfair advantage over regular miners. Even M1 and M2 is gone from the top list and only uray's miner is seen on the present blocks.

Is it possible to ban that particular miner, as no-one else uses it? Or ban by IP?

EDIT

Just sad not to compete on equal terms. It must affect the whole network to and not only ninja, as almost all coins go to the uray miners. Even if you beat them, there are so many good deadlines that you are paid very little.

In a way, one can call this an attack on the network/BURST, which /bin/laden never was. He just had massive resources, one way or the other. This is something else and very coordinated with 200 accounts.

BURST-R8SQ-TUEM-DTHQ-7ATA3 is poloniex' address, which might mean he dumps everything or use their account to to hide how much funds he has.

All the sudden no uray miners in top...?  Huh

I'm on top of it, thank you for the messages, sorry I've been busy lately, but I'm on top of it.

Also, anyone looking to run a pool, please contact me, I will be giving out copies of burst.ninja pool in VM form here shortly. Already setup, and ready to run.

The growth on the pool is not something that should worry people, but it is currently too much for the version now. But that will be being edited as well, as I've got a coder that can help with that now.

There will be much more coming in the way of mining. VERY soon. Don't worry.

This coin is NOT dead. Just FYI.

@all - I think I'm all of a sudden the VP of a 6+ million dollar a year CAD/CAM company, which I'm going to turn into a 500+ million dollar a year company. So, whoever needs a job and has skillset that works, hit me up.

I've messaged vbcs

Has anyone else problems with the blockexplorer -> burstcoin.info

For example

https://block.burstcoin.info/acc.php?acc=BURST-HK9D-P74Q-XDEJ-D6PGM

Shows no information about the address.

Sorry about block ex issues, there's been no time lately, but I've asked Haitch to see if he's able to help me out on that, as I've been just buried in stuff to do both BURST and non related. We'll get it all back on track here ASAP.

As far as development, I'm gonna have to say I'm really happy to see what I'm seeing going on in core right now, but I'm not going to elaborate quite yet. Wink

But do know that there's now more that is going on than ever and I'm going to be extremely excited to share some things going on in near future.

Haven't heard from vbcs though, interestingly... though that is of little consequence to the overall right now. Still expect to have him with us from the c.f. AT I've started.

On my phone so i'll post more tomorrow, but yea, don't take my lack of post activity as lack of goings on, for that's not the case at all. I fact I'm planning at least two more assets and another addition to byte ent asset miner on top of the recent one too.

Core is strong and active, and direction is too. Organization is an issue but I've got bounties for help out. Seemingly no one is interested though, which is one reason things haven't been getting accomplished as far as public info goes and such.

Well, talk to y'all tomorrow, remember that byte ent now has 10TB more mining for it than last month's payout and plans to add more, so time to pick some more up is now!

consider selling individually?

I don't have 500 I want to spend but I would like to grab at least one.

Also, I'm still having buy issues trying to get freakin BTC, I can never get enough. Would you accept paypal from me? Either that  or squarecash would be good.

I would prefer you buy BTC, then use that.  Just too many issues with Ppal over the years.

Which card are you most interested in?

let me see what I can do as far as how much btc I can get right now... I've the money via square or pp right now, but for some reason coinbase won't up my instant limits because I didn't used to buy there, and circle closed by good account for whatever reason, so it's suddenly a pain for me to buy instantly -_- but yea...

The 280x, but I was thinking of offering 300 shipped for one 280x and 1 7970 or possibly 440 for all 3?

C-CEX BURST/BTC Marked for delisting ,DEV ,BURSTCOIN DEAD ? BURSTETHER  Rebirth ,?

I received a message from C-CEX too. I guess they will be removing BURST from their exchange unless there is more trading volume/activity in it. Hope this does not happen since it will be one less exchange for BURST and there will be even less trading activity than usual.  Sad

Threw some volume on C-Cex.

The coin is not being renamed... and is nowhere near dead, in fact, quite the opposite.

The thing is, you're reading an outdated thread...

The new MAIN BURST OP is located HERE.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1323657

(edit) An additional 300,000 inbound to match the 200,000 donation someone made.

(edit 2) and another 15,000. Let's make this happen!

(edit 3) And another 9,000

haha, don't think you wanna play this game with me, do you? xD we'll see how it goes over the next couple days, heh.

Wanna try to get vbcs into the thread and have him make a few comments and such too.

-- SNIP --

Haitch owns block.burstcoin.info right? It doesn't work  Smiley.
Also, Income should have seen my post. He has been online again. No posts, just online. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=552577.

Nope, I have the *.burst-team.us servers, burstcoin.info is 'Tiga's I believe.

Looks like your analysis of Income was right on the money then Sad

H.

Yea, I'm aware of the blockex down-ness. I'm speaking with tiga to get the necessary tools to bring it back up, however, he's out of town at the moment, and away from a net connection. So it's a bit difficult to get said information. I'm working on it though, and we'll go as quickly as possible here.

I'm still promoting the idea of either getting the blockex up on haitch's servers, or having another copy of the blockex setup. But yea, we're aware of it, and working on it.

I'm also aware of the issues on the main BURST website as well, but since things are so busy, and I'm only one person, it'll be finished when we get a chance.
