C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet  (folder is hidden)

You have to copy your passphrase(s) and the blockchain (burst_db folder) from /program files (x86)/BURST Wallet/
to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet  if you want to keep them.

Ok and now i leave a trace on all computer i use my USB key on it? sorry its there i stop because NEVER i will use burstcoin on a computer where i have to delete like everything when im done using the wallet.

why are they trying to control us...

Are you serious with this? If you aren't using a computer you own, then why would you install the GUI wallet in the first place? Just do as Haitch suggests, and run the wallet from git.

Also, the files that are copied as far as the db, are only copied if you don't have the chain downloaded. So this is only an issue if you don't hardly ever run the wallet, which in that, I would ask again, why are you installing the GUI wallet on a computer you don't plan on running it on?

One more thing, the db is something you have to deal with as far as any coin, not just BURST, and IMO copy the newest db to your flash drive then copy it to the computer you're using or whatever you're saying is the problem here, is not that big of a problem, but even if it is for some reason, you are aware you can just let the wallet run for a while and the chain will download itself, right?

Trolls... brush up your troll game! Lol
1142  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AT and CLTV - Truly disruptive technology! on: February 16, 2016, 07:36:58 PM
I have created the CF for vbcs, and will be the first to donate 500k BURST to it once my tests succeed. Just wanted to make sure my 500k would get there. But as far as I remember, you can either send via the AT interface built into the new GUI wallet, which sends directly to the CF, or you can send to the BURST address associated with the account itself that started the CF, this is correct, isn't it CIYAM?

But anyway, here it is!

figured I would just post now after completed tests...

Funding works as expected! Let's get to donating! Show vbcs how much we do appreciate what he has done and would likely continue to do for BURST and QORA, and crypto as a whole!

*I was incorrect about the sending directly to creator part though, you send to the AT address, derp. I knew that...)

If you would like to directly donate without having to use the AT, simply send to BURST-Q65F-6VNE-6YNS-7JKMQ

(I will accept BTC donations as well, just PM me)

Following with interest. Smiley

Might I suggest taking a look at the new thread, it will be where all of the new announcements will be posted, as well as the updated information that doesn't contain broken links, and the OP which is able to be modified. Hope you find BURST as awesome as we do!

Welcome!
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: February 16, 2016, 06:43:55 PM
As a newcomer to Burst, and I realise that a lot of it is obvious when you have been mining for some time, I expected to be able to ask questions in this Thread as on scanning through it for answers there are plenty of questions here.

I did look in the Forum you linked to but it did not seem very active, whereas there was a lot of activity here. Might I suggest that if you do not want questions here that something be put in the OP explaining what is acceptable & what is not. I assume you want to encourage newcomers, but am not finding having perfectly good questions deleted very welcoming?

Rich

I didn't delete them, I moved them to the BURST specific forum. Though yea, it is new, and may not be as active, you will get answers there as the ones who ARE active, are members of the core team and also the community that have been around quite a while.

Also, I did post a few pages back when we started getting a lot more tech related questions, that I would prefer those questions be directed to the forum, as to not fill the thread with technical stuff and leave it free for the updates related to the coin and projects associated. *edit - I think maybe adding this to the OP is a good idea, and I will do so. Thanks!

That being said, I understand your concerns, and would also welcome anyone to directly message me via any of my contact methods in my profile, which include skype and google hangouts, and even my phone number, and we can discuss anything you think would benefit the coin and help it to move forward. This is not MY coin, nor the coin of the core team, it is OUR coin, this includes you, newcomers, and everyone that would like to make use of the technology.

Sorry if you find my deleting the posts from here and moving them to the forum to be offensive, it was not meant to be that way, and I will gladly direct you to the answers you seek if you contact me directly. I simply would like to keep this thread about what is coming out, and what is going on in relation to projects and the coin itself. Hope this makes sense. Sorry if I offended.

Test payment for the BURST CF AT setup for vbcs is completed, I realized I had the wrong address for the direct donations, but I've updated that above...

here's the AT once again, the countdown has begun! Please help out to get more development of the amazing ACCT and AT technology for BURST and more!

The Blockchain seems to take forever to download from within Burst Wallet, is there a quicker way of loading it?

Rich
You can download a copy from here http://db.burst-team.us.

Thank You, do I just put the contents in the burst_db folder or is anything else needed?

If you have so many questions I recommend you http://forum.burstcoin.info

Indeed, please use the forum, I have removed a few of the random 3 word support-related posts, would prefer to not have to do that if possible please. Thanks!

edit - I have moved at least one of your questions FOR YOU! You're welcome!

1147  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pre-ANN draft] Crowetic Computers - Investment op - REAL company, REAL asset. on: February 15, 2016, 06:37:11 AM
You really need to add the earning/profit (P/L statement) starting in 2014 to help see the pattern. Just giving one month is meaningless. Can't even start analyzing the data until this is supplied.

I will add from the point the company has been doing what it is now, as that is all that really matters as that is how the company will continue from this point on, and what the asset is based on.

Thanks for the comment, that is why this is a pre-release draft.

I will get the said information together, going to take me a little time because I use some of my income from other sources as funding for certain small parts of the company, so I just haven't fully compiled all of the information...

As of right now I do have the full income of the business in one location, it's just some of the expenses (mostly smaller ones, and most of the business expenses are minimal anyway)...

So, before the final release papers are posted, I will gather together as much of the income and expense information I have and put it together where it can be viewed, but it will not be detailed. It will be simply income and expense numbers, nothing more.

If that isn't enough, I suppose we could discuss more, but I won't be giving super specific information on the business, as to protect both myself and my clients.

{"errorDescription":"Unknown account","errorCode":5} i get this when i try to set reward recipient. account is verified and visible on the explorer. what is going on?

i found this on nxt i found this on the nxt forums If the account does not yet exist, this call will return: {"errorCode":5,"errorDescription":"Unknown account"}

Have you tried to do it with the web wallet? could be there's maybe something up with your local wallet... and/or maybe your chain isn't fully synchronized? Also, this thread is not active anymore, the new one is here...

Then, if you have technical questions, please post them on our new BURST forum...

-[ANN]- a few diff anns actually...

[ANN-1] - About block.burstcoin.info blockex and its downtime

-The blockex is being moved to a new server on one of my hosts, and will be back up as soon as possible, we apologize for the issues... Please bear with us as we resolve this issue.

[ANN-2] - CF for the AT work completed and to be completed (as well as other generalized improvements to BURST's code and AT system done by vbcs / CIYAM / core team)

-I have created the wallet for this CrowdFund campaign, and will be posting links to the AT itself, once I finish with these announcements and create the AT, this is for the work to be accomplished by vbcs in regards to the thread here...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1316199.new#new

-Further information will become available when received. But either way your donation is going to a great cause, and an awesome developer who has done some truly amazing things for BURST and QORA...which brings me to my next ANN...

[ANN-3] - Some ideas for breaking this shell in the alt communities that seems to always exist, and GETTING SOME REAL COLLAB DONE!

-I was speaking with a couple of the team, and was thinking of an idea to get BURST and QORA working together more, after all, they are basically our cousin coin, and they have a great team, and can do a lot to help us and Vice-versa! So, my idea is as follows...

   1. Post both here, and in QORA thread about the idea (below)

   2. Idea consists of making of either a new thread or an entirely new location in which we could all get together and communicate, get to know the details of the coin we don't, and basically just get together! I don't understand why the separation of the alt coins exists the way it does, especially with our two coins! We are the first ones ever to do a transfer directly from one coin to another, but due to some theft and nonsense that happened, we didn't even get the word out about that! I would like THAT to change, as well as just the disconnect that exists between our two communities, as I believe CIYAM was right when he said that we can benefit each other greatly!

   3. I'm thinking the easiest way to start, would be just a thread on bct, here. Once that gets going, hopefully we can all start to talk and get along and start making progress happen faster, and get combined projects going, things like that! Let me know what you think of this, but I'm thinking it should happen.

**one last thing, the draft of my new asset (https://docs.google.com/document/d/12o7gnqFWqnJFb1mPNDTwgdsCqoxavkdvJx3hF7LvCXo/) will be turned into a pre-release announcement likely early next week after I do the necessary recalculations, and whatnot required to make it into such. So stay tuned!**
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: February 13, 2016, 10:49:09 AM
Toying with the idea of an asset based on a very high percentage special edition DMD staking wallet, that will pay double or more (than any other), DMD per year from staking...
the other wallets still pay a good percentage, but this one pays much more (50% a year without need to move money around, and all that jazz. Not to mention the value of the rare coin when those 2 years of that percentage rate end. I have already purchased the legendary, just thinking of releasing the asset and wanted to get some opinions.

What I was thinking, is since I do happen to like staking, and the fact that DMD is continually steady or going up in price, and the stake rate is really good, especially with my new address I've obtained... (called a Legendary address, entitles you to your name forever on the chain, and also a wallet capable of increased stake power.)

I was putting some thought into releasing an asset based on this staking wallet, providing yet another source of funding to BURST, and hopefully figuring out a way to also offer DMD directly as opposed to BURST for monthly payouts. My goal here would be to get the communities looking at eachother, and trying to desegregate the altcoin 'factions' we've seem to developed here in the forums...

I think, the coins with good merit and/or new and amazing technology, and good communities, should work together to avoid scams, and become a more unified front. Not only will this provide more community spirit, but will potentially also provide help on either side if needed, and much more...

Anyway, let me know what you think of this. Thanks!
1151  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I am out of the mining game :( on: February 13, 2016, 10:28:18 AM
Shame man... I know its super hard to mine now. The difficulty has just gone ridiculously high the last few months, we are like on over 120 now

Mining is easier than it has ever been - we have machines built specifically to mine!

Making a profit is becoming unobtainable.

Which is why we shouldn't mine SHA anymore, but instead, move on along to something that makes more sense...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1323657.0;topicseen

MINE WITH HARD DRIVES. They don't have any of the issues that ASICs do. Just sayin'

Before you go postal on me, think about it long term and also the fact that it doesn't damage the drives. Okay are you relaxed? Now really try it. Good. Carry on.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - NEW BURST OP - MINE WITH YOUR HDD - ATs, AE, P2P MARKETPLACE, and MORE! on: February 13, 2016, 10:04:43 AM
I know of 2 working Burst Block Explorers and right now they both are down.

Burstcoin.info and Burstcoin.biz both come back as down..  I just cleaned my cache and all that nonsense...nothing.  Burstcoin.info has been down for a few days and Burstcoin.biz has been in a semi-working state for a fair amount of time.

*shrugs*

My bad boss, I've not kept a close enough eye on the blockex I suppose, but I renewed everything before it actually said it was expired, and didn't change the key, so I assumed that it wouldn't have any problems, my fault for assuming I guess...

Let me check this out and see what I can come up with...

edit - well, I figured it out...

The SSL from the original site expired today, and though I renewed it, I didn't realize that its DNS was hosted at another location, and I also didn't check...

So, because I didn't have an email address like Admin@block.burstcoin.info, I decided to use DNS method of authentication, with the belief that it would be the easiest method to authenticate without having those email addresses, though, it would apprear that since the DNS isn't hosted there, I was incorrect in making that assumption....

NOW, I've got to login to the site itself that tiga has created, and see what is going on... however, that too is a problem, as I have never needed to do this, There was never a need for me to have the admin, as the blockex is on a VM that was originally setup for tiga's personal use... So, I suppose it would be time to move the blockex to another VM now, and/or something like that... either way, my apologies for not following up with this after I did the renewal today, today hasn't been the best day ever... I was hoping to get much more done than I did, and now it looks like I won't even get sleep either...

(no, nothing to do with anything coin related.)

1156  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AT and CLTV - Truly disruptive technology! on: February 12, 2016, 11:54:27 PM
Hey @crowetic - please don't worry about a CF for CIYAM at this stage (but thanks for the consideration).

I have brought up the idea with @vbcs of merging the code-base between Burst and Qora and hope you will be happy to discuss this with him (this would not change the Burst blockchain history nor its "proof" algorithm but simply bring the two projects much closer together).

A big advantage to Burst would be to having pretty much the same code as its cousin and having identical AT code (making the work for @vbcs much easier as this progresses which is going to be important if you want to see big changes happening).

In this scenario the majority of code would be the from the Qora project as @vbcs is of the opinion that it is better quality code and that it has the more development support between the two projects.

Sounds fantastic to me, I'll contact vbcs directly about this myself, he hasn't been in the BURST slack lately but hopefully I can bring him back!

I'm working on the wallet now to start the CF for him to do this, but I have to leave my office in about 10 min, so I will finish it up when I get home, and I will be first to drop 500k+ BURST into it for him!

As for the other CF, just say the word man, and I'll get working on it. But I'll keep it on pause for time being Smiley Thanks@ bringing it up to vbcs! Much appreciated! Yea, I would very much like to keep the two coins as close as possible, in fact, I would love to implement some sort of massive community out of the two, in which we can be more unified, I'm going to start working on a plan in this direction, as I think it would be very useful. Smiley

I'll post the BURST CF link here along with the BURST thread upon completion later this evening. Thanks again for everything bossman! Keep up the ground-breaking development work! We do appreciate it!
