2062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 19, 2017, 08:05:43 PM
@ikon31
I simply received the e-mail that you always receive when Bitmain delivers you order.

It is an e-mail message with title "BITMAIN Order Shipped" .
It includes the order invoice and Fedex tracking information.
2063  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 19, 2017, 04:15:16 PM
Ok so I'm not the only one, and that is a weird shipping pattern indeed.  Cheesy
2064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 19, 2017, 03:48:50 PM
That Ebit E9 Plus miner price is just a translation / conversion error.

If you look at the Chinese part of the website, you can see that the price is 6840 RMB.

6840 RMB equals about 1035 USD.
2065  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 19, 2017, 03:26:30 PM
Wow, the new S9 batch price is really a rip off price.

But I'm positively surprised with my 1x  S9 (January 21-30 delivery batch) order.

First, the APW3++ power supply was shipped way early in November 12.

And now the S9 was shipped already today in December 19.

It left the Fedex origin facility already.  Smiley
2066  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: December 19, 2017, 01:31:52 PM
I have one A741 available for sale, in case someone is interested.

See the link in my signature space.

There should be no sensorship in the review process.

I think right there is the whole point to promojo's argument..... I think "review" was only mentioned as a courtesy.  He is under no obligation from anyone to share anything.  Time will always tell......  I don't think I've ever met a community that is so impatient.

I would venture, as scott already mentioned, that the least amount of info about the miner out the better until its ready to go online and ship in masses.  How long do people wait for an apple product once info starts to leak?

That being said....Promojo, fire that beast up already!!  Then maybe we can all move along and complain about how long pre-orders are....JK, do what you want.  Its your miner.  Honestly, if it were me, and it had gone this way, the forum would never get to see anything and would have to wait until they have in hand.

You obviously haven't been here for long.

We've been through so many scams already that I've lost count..

We need proper proof, and after that we can forget the scam accusations.

What is the point of Halong Mining even sending him a demo unit in first place, if he's not obliged to do a thorough review?
2069  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 19, 2017, 02:09:21 AM
We have every right to criticise this situation, where there is very little proof, because lots of people have already invested their money in this.

I've seen people lose their money on scams too many times.

You can never be too careful in the mining business..
2070  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 19, 2017, 01:51:45 AM
Where as most of my previous review attempts have been warm talks with people involved, this has been a ice cold journey.

And I never thought I would end up in such severe argument war (with promojo)
by simply asking for a valid proof of the miner.

In my opinion Halong Mining is not doing theirself a favor by doing things this way.

There should be no sensorship in the review process.
2071  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Issue with Avalon 6 and Raspberry Pi 2 - $25 to whoever can help on: December 19, 2017, 01:18:47 AM
https://canaan.io/question/how-do-i-connect-an-avalonminer-721-and-avalonminer-controller-including-raspberry-pi-1-2-and-3/

Pay attention to the configuration part.

You need to access the RPi via web configuration page.

You don't use it as a normal computer.

Follow the guide I linked above, and you will be fine.
2072  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Do ASCI miners consume a lot of bandwidth? on: December 19, 2017, 01:15:00 AM
Yeah, low latency and stable connection and you are good to go.
2073  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebit e9 miner with 6.8Th/s from Ebang company a new rival for existing producers on: December 18, 2017, 11:49:44 PM
I am Vietnamese. I also an electrician. I spent a few years in Chinese school.

Nice.  Smiley

Thanks for helping, colleaque!

It will be interesting to see both Ebit E10 and AvalonMiner 821 official announcements in December 20, and compare those machines with each other.
2074  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebit e9 miner with 6.8Th/s from Ebang company a new rival for existing producers on: December 18, 2017, 11:12:10 PM
The Ebang web background said new machine coming out on 12-20-2017. That is the headline. the rest is just company infos.

I presume you know Chinese and were able to translate it easy?  Smiley

Thanks!
2075  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 18, 2017, 11:03:21 PM
December 20, the announcement date for AvalonMiner 821 is coming soon, and the less there is proof for DragonMint miner actually existing, the more Canaan is going to get attention for the AvalonMiner and more sales also.
2076  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 18, 2017, 07:44:46 PM
That image can't be taken as a serious evidence.

Oh shut up already.... I am absolutely done with you.
Why are you done with me?

Because I'm asking all the right questions?
2077  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebit e9 miner with 6.8Th/s from Ebang company a new rival for existing producers on: December 18, 2017, 07:37:33 PM
Can anybody here at the forum translate, what is said in Chinese in this new background picture Ebang has at their website?

Ebang website: http://miner.ebang.com.cn/

The image posted by promojo is here: https://imgur.com/a/4tXR6

Where is the picture, dude?
ROFLMAO!!! Clean your kitchen, man!  Cheesy

that's nice, looking forward to the full review.
I recently went to the halongmining.com - it appears they not accepting orders, anyway.
Hate that, bitmain was doing the same thing to people, perhaps they may let you make the pre-order.

2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is gaming motherboard ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING ok for 6 x GPU mining? on: December 18, 2017, 07:26:12 PM
Is it hard to read this at the top of this section?

No posts about GPUs or altcoin mining here, use the correct sub-forums

I believe the Canadian who is doing the review is in Winnipeg
The pic he posted is on the local FB page

Isn't willing to demo publicly or allow others to review the item.

Not ready to call scam on the poster, but the whole company still screams scam to me.

Or they will release a few over priced items to get a review then not provide the rest.. who knows.

EDIT:
Aside from the side rails missing, which I can't remember if the s9 had that? the s7 did. it looks exactly like an s9.

There was a better resolution picture which promojo aka. Jordan posted earlier in a Facebook group for Winnipeg mining community.

See the quoted post.

Why did the new picture have to be smaller resolution, worse quality one?

I also know that the FB post you made, is deleted now. Why?
