Bitfury 16nm process node chips are a real deal, check out my review link in my signature.
2982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: May 06, 2017, 07:32:07 PM

What is that IP report button for?
See chapter 4 here: https://shop.bitmain.com/files/download/Antminer%20S7%20user%20guide.pdf

This is a S7 manual, but same thing with IP Reporter goes for the L3/L3+.
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: If you are setting up a Graphic Card mining rig do they have to be the same one on: May 06, 2017, 07:18:59 PM
Please start this topic at the altcoin section where it belongs.

Bitcoin mining today is done with ASIC hardware, like for example Antminer S9, AvalonMiner741...
2984  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need help for my Antminer U3... on: May 06, 2017, 02:46:16 PM
It's a 92mm 3-pin circle-shaped fan.

Go to the altcoin section. This is only for Bitcoin related stuff, not litecoin.

Better idea in testing basic mining stuff with a small money budget would be a stick miner or an outdated old miner like Antminer S3.

Sidehack here at the forum has for sale the Gekkoscience 2Pac -stick for example, check him out.
2988  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Overheating Shutting down issues on: May 02, 2017, 08:57:58 PM
Damn you are so polite.  Smiley

I didn't talk about other mining.

I only said that mining with a laptop is a waste of time, which it is.

No need to lose your mind because of that.

With that attitude I wouldn't put so high hopes in getting help from experienced users.
2989  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org 0.5% fee SPLNS segwit mining pool on: May 01, 2017, 02:01:20 PM
Ugh, bad thunderstorms, have to shut em down Cry.
As you are a SegWit hater, how come are you mining in this pool?
2990  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Overheating Shutting down issues on: May 01, 2017, 01:57:19 PM
Laptop cooling not made for that kind of rough use and this makes no sense at all.
Stop asking questions about mining BTC with laptop, you are wasting your and our time.
2991  Other / Off-topic / Re: [HELP] Is it a worth deal? on: April 30, 2017, 09:13:32 AM
You can move this thread yourself. See "Move topic" in the down left corner of this page.
2992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 28, 2017, 09:09:31 PM
True, doesn't change the end result though... let's call it a typo Smiley
Yeah, just wanted to clear it since I see it misunderstood from time to time.
2993  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: April 28, 2017, 08:50:25 PM
Pricing is everything that comes to hardware these days.
I've seen this also at my work as electrician.

Me: this device X is a little better and reliable than the cheaper one but it costs little extra
Customer: let's go with the cheaper one
2994  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Dynamo-Miner for bikes possible? on: April 28, 2017, 04:10:26 PM
I don't know what is the point of this thread when the OP clearly doesn't want to do the project himself?  Huh
2995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 28, 2017, 12:53:17 PM
I did a quick quote on coinwarz:

SHA-256 Bitmain S9
13000 ghz (13Thz)
1350 watts
15c per kw

vs

SCRYPT Bitmain L3+
504000 kHz (504Mhz)
800 watts
15c per kw

The results are pretty interesting... based on the prices we're paying here in Australia for power (it's actually .20c per hour taking into account that the calculator is in US dollars)

Scrypt blows SHA256 out of the water... the top 29 coins are all scrypt! BTC comes in at rank 30. Yes I know that this will likely change as the global hashrate and difficulty increases, but on paper it looks like mining scrypt may be fare more profitable.

Have I made an incorrect calculation?

you made no mistake  Smiley

One small mistake, which happens from time to time. It is hash per second, not hertz. Two quite different things.

For example: Antminer S9, hash rate 13 Th/s
Antminer L3+, hash rate 504 Mh/s

2996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EQUIHASH ASICS!?!?! Can it really be? on: April 27, 2017, 03:36:13 PM
This might be the lamest scam attempt ever, when it comes to the so-called "products".
2997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EQUIHASH ASICS!?!?! Can it really be? on: April 27, 2017, 02:15:43 PM
SCAM!

Lol, see the product picture of the so called "A2" miner.

It is a picture of external hard drive manufactured by Seagate.

SCAM!
2998  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: April 27, 2017, 02:05:45 PM
How can you say what I won't understand and what I will, you don't know me and my education background.

We will see soon enough with Litecoin, who is right and who is wrong.
2999  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: April 27, 2017, 01:45:47 PM
Why is there a lot of people afraid of Segwit? It has proven to be working in the test net.
We will soon see it in real use with Litecoin, and then we can all come with our final conclusions on it.

You are just saying that Segwit is a pile of shit but you are not making your point clear at all.
3000  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: April 27, 2017, 01:43:06 PM
You are only backing your point with some UN  declaration (like at least three times in several threads already..) but with nothing other really relevant to back it up.
See previous recent discussions and you can understand my concern.
