2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 30, 2016, 06:17:42 PM
Golden State Warriors has pretty good chance to get an easy win by big margin against weak team Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors have ability to win match easily because it has awesome offense so that it can easily manage to keep winning difference more than 20 points so that handicap -17 would be nice pick for this match.

Definitely, not only that, the Warriors are known for their offense but when they are defending they may at the very top of the list too, just watch what they did with the Spurs and the Cavs. This being a more casual game I think they won't be as focused though so we should expect plenty of points a big spread.
2062  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyBTCCasino.com - Provably Fair - HTML5 Mobile games on: January 30, 2016, 05:57:50 PM
Sports gambling would be an awesome addition I agree, it's my favorite method and I already proposed that but I understand there must be plenty of plans for the future in the casino schedule. Maybe it can start with a small section and then grow a little, sports gambling is another huge market that they will benefit from.
2063  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price going back to $250??? on: January 30, 2016, 05:55:50 PM
I was skeptical at first of all these threads about the drop in value, I thought we would be fine but the damage is already done I think, altcoins are getting A LOT of volume, I think many (me included) are trying to diversify our investments in these times of crisis, Bitcoin may face a sharp decline while others may rise so it's only logical.
2064  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the benefits of a Xapo Wallet? on: January 30, 2016, 04:03:34 AM
If they run away with your coins, just like TradeFortress did in inputs.io, you can't see your coins again. I think that's not benefit. Cheesy
The point is you can't trust online wallets, if they lose your coins you can't prove anything when you take a legal action. At least I haven't seen any Bitcoin return from court decisions.

Well I'm not sure because with Xapo they send you an email and there's plenty of evidence if you want to save it and take the time. But like I said, it's more like a real wallet, you have day-to-day money not your whole savings and for that it works perfectly. I don't have as many doubts about many of you about Xapo but at the same time I wouldn't trust any Bitcoin online service with my whole share, just a small part of it.
2065  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Basketball Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: January 30, 2016, 04:01:09 AM
Cleveland Cavaliers 114 @ 106  Detroit Pistons

Amazing congratulations! I thought we were going for months and months without a winner but you got it. I wasn't that far off with 109-105, just getting one score is difficult enough, both is actually twice as much indeed! Can't wait for the next game, hopefully it's San Antonio Spurs @ Cleveland Cavaliers.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Donald Trump made comments on bitcoin? on: January 30, 2016, 03:54:26 AM
if there's a quote out there it would something like this: "There's a problem out there and Bitcoin is part of the problem, there's a tremendous question mark on Bitcoin right now and my friends called me and told me that I'm doing great with this Bitcoin problem".

Honestly, I think Trump may have some money in BTC even if he doesn't know anything about it, but somehow some part of his wealth may have some ties with a startup or loan company or whatever.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 30, 2016, 03:50:59 AM
In theory there are some very lucky persons that really just hit the jackpot after playing 5 or 6 times. The math is against them but they win it big, so technically you can beat the house if that's what many of you are saying. But the discussion here is not about luck, is about how if you play trying to get a profit every week, you will eventually lose it all, even if one week you get lucky. So just play for fun and you'll be ok, don't be greedy or try to gamble like it is some sort of job.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 30, 2016, 03:44:53 AM

Here are my picks for tonight:

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons -  Cleveland Cavaliers @ 1.5
The Cavs will win this one, not without some bumps in the road but they started to look better with each game after the Bulls fiasco. The Pistons will definitely put up a fight but they can't handle Lebron. Detroit is one of his favorites venues.

Miami Heat @ Milwaukee Bucks - Miami Heat @ 1.78
Miami is playing very well coming from a couple of hard fought victories, this one is a bit risky but I feel they can get it. The Bucks are still on the down side so if Wade & Bosh continue they fine play they will pull it off.

Houston Rockets @ Oklahoma City Thunder - Over 220.5pts @ 1.76
Well, for me as I said, OKC will win this one, that's out of the question, Durant has been playing great. But the odds are not worth the risk so Over should be fine since it will most likely be a duel between Harden and Durant and that means plenty of points.

Got all of them! Sadly I didn't play a single one hehe but hopefully someone did.
2069  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyBTCCasino.com - Provably Fair - HTML5 Mobile games on: January 29, 2016, 10:30:03 PM

Yeah, I think that would be easily done with the (relatively) new API "Skeleton" that was created by Shapeshift.  This would be quite huge for LuckyBTC.  For pretty much every popular altcoin out there, there are people who advocate pretty whole heartedly for the coin, and want to do business with only those coins.  I can say I've seen this when looking at the cryptonote coins like Monero, Dash, Boolberry, Aeon, etc. since I hold some of those coins personally.  People use other coins for other reasons as well.

It would be nice to tap into the altcoin community so people who want fast(er) transactions can use LTC, people who are very paranoid and want to remain anonymous can use Monero or the other cryptonote coins, and so on.

I don't think any other online casino has done this yet, so LuckyBTC can strike it big if they ended up putting this into the website.

Not only that but we the recent announcements and consequently price drop for BTC many investors and traders flocked to altcoins like ETH, DOGE, XMR, XRP, DGB and many more lately so there's a huge influx of money and market cap there that it's putting Bitcoin to shame actually. Maybe it's all temporary speculation but I think altcoins will gain a lot of traction this year so it would be very wise to be open for that upcoming market.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 29, 2016, 10:08:38 PM
Are we still debating this? Again there's no question here because they are complete different services. Go ahead and provide the same service Western Union provides but with Bitcoin (fiat/cash in a window worldwide) with less fees and you will become a millionaire. Bitcoin is not "cheaper" because it doesn't charge fees, it's actually more expensive if you include price volatility and fiat conversion/exchange. You can't buy groceries with Bitcoin.
2071  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moneypot just took a huge loss? on: January 29, 2016, 09:57:14 PM
Moneypot seemed one of the only few sites where you could expect not to lose money but in Bitcoin all these sites usually scam you one way of another. I'm not implying they did it on purpose but something always happened, it's sad that Bitcoin always have this tainted image that is very true. It's just the problem of being unregulated.

To be clear, if you invest in a Casino, you shouldn't be losing money in the long run, there's actually no risk, the Casinos always win right!? So please explain why all these sites can't promise or guarantee at least some profit in the long run (I understand you can lose for some days due to a bad streak).
2072  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyBTCCasino.com - Provably Fair - HTML5 Mobile games on: January 29, 2016, 09:53:29 PM
Exactly, like I said for me personally it's a must, but I can see why. Bitcoin was a match made in heaven for gambling since it's very easy and fast to deposit and no questions are asked, no credit cards, identity, weird withdrawal clauses, etc. The bad part of this is that well, there are not many legit sites where you can feel safe since as it's not regulated it's kinda like the wild west. But there are plenty of new sites and casinos that are doing great stuff, glad to see LuckyBTCCasino emerging as one of the best.

Yeah, tbh, I didn't feel like going through the hassle of having to form a new unique password, remembering it, linking my email to the website, etc.  It's more of a privacy type of thing for me, and I don't think that people will ever feel like leaving a substantial amount of coins on a website anyways... so it all just points to better things to come for LuckyBTC.  Once the new update comes about, I'm sure I'll test my luck a couple of times on the roulette wheel... but definitely didn't want to have to sign up for anything.

So all in all, good job LuckyBTC! You're definitely tapping into what the everyday online gambler wants when it comes to gambling... easy deposits and withdrawals with no hassle.

Agreed, who wants to create an account at each site to then enter credit card details, just to play a casual game of poker! With Bitcoin that changed for many but many still require registration (which I understand since some business models are based on that...). I'm just glad to see LuckyBTCCasino will implement both options. I know that we already discussed this but perhaps an integration with shapeshift API would be a very easy way to integrate altcoins too now that registration won't be required.
2073  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Official Xapo Service Discussion on: January 29, 2016, 09:46:47 PM
i received my card 2-3 days ago. It didnt take too long to arrive here in greece, i would say maybe 10-13 days. So that was nice. Other than this everything i try to do with this card fails and gets declined. I have activated my card through the phone number on the card, got my pin. Pin works, it is accepted in atm and i even used the option in xapo site where they send you an email and you can use the code they send you to reveal your pin. Its the same. So i assume my card is succesfully activated and should be working everywhere they accept visa. Well it works nowhere. I ve loaded bitcoin funds into my account, confirmations are way over 6, transaction to fund the wallet appears as complete and not pending. However i tried to order some stuff online and it got declined several times. Keep in mind that my virtua advcash card works on those places.  Then i ve tried several times to withdraw from ATM and i always get the same message that my ballance is low and not enough. No matter the amount. And dont start me on the fees, the amount i try to withdraw is like 20-30 euro less than my ballance, so its way more than enough to cover the fees. Greece is in the supported countries where the card is shipped and should work. So what now??

Thanks for your comments and experience, I'm always wondering how this debit card would work since I may order one in the future but from what I've read it's all full of problems and fees. Hopefully we'll see some improvements this year as as it was already mentioned Wences Casares Xapo's CEO got hired by Paypal's board of directors so there could be some major news there soon.
2074  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the benefits of a Xapo Wallet? on: January 29, 2016, 09:45:08 PM
I've been using Xapo since I started with Bitcoin and I'm very satisfied. They don't charge any fees which is a major pull in my opinion. Their security is good and Bitcoin process is very simplified. For many this is the way to go since it's much more usable than other options. However I can see that there are disadvantages, I wouldn't put too much money there since we all know how these "exchanges" or banks can run with your money. I trust them but with Bitcoin you never know sadly. So for easy transactions and everyday money I think it's perfect, if you have many BTC that you are holding long term then you should be looking at cold storage.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 29, 2016, 05:49:58 PM
The Rockets vs OKC, which side would you guys bet? Or I suppose I should go for the over 220.

I see OKC will win this match. The only problem is the low odds given for moneyline. I suggest go over for Points U/O bet. I don't see this match will pass beyond overall 220 points so I will pick on Under 220. They will kill Rockets in both offense and defense especially they will play on Chesapeake Energy Arena.

I completely agree, they will have no problem handling the Rockets but the odds are not very rewarding and that's logical.

2076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 29, 2016, 05:36:28 PM
The large fees alone make WU inferior to bitcoin. Everybody says bitcoin will end PayPal once it becomes afopted more. I think WU 's existence is more threatened by bitcoin's emergence than PP.

Actually Paypal just recently hired Xapo's CEO Wences Casares to their board of directors so they are definitely planning something big with Bitcoin. I'm sure they will at least implement BTC deposit to fund their account but hopefully it's something even bigger than that.

Any idea when the digibytegroup wil start a new project ? have been checking in a few times over the last month but all i see are those monthly contests and  previous projects.

ps: don't see any monthly project right now

Working on it!
Thanks looking forward to helping anyway i can now that i'm holding mainly DGB

If you or anyone else have a cool idea for the Digibyte group, Please let us know!

What about a 1 million DGB giveaway contest. It's the stuff people will refer to in the future as totally crazy. A bit like the bitcoin pizza stunt.

Doable now while the price is still low.

Maybe it's raised within the community and given to a charity. We could use the tip bot to distribute. ;-) Newsworthy perhaps.

That would be awesome, there has been plenty of giveaways already, hell I won one of them (250k) but 1 million DGBs would be a much cooler novelty prize but it has to be well advertised with plenty of marketing of course.
2079  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 crash has begun! on: January 28, 2016, 10:35:18 PM
The crash has began indeed but it will be no problem for the bitcoin at all.

The bitcoin is low at the moment so invest now its still possible.

We gonna make profit when the halving has been done, when the price will be raising.

The floor now is at $380, if this continues to go down we might see a floor of $350 by next week. Let's hope this is a prequel to another record-high.

Agreed. I definitely didn't expect this last one since it touched $400 two times and I thought we were past that. All bets are off right now but I agree that if it drops to $350 we can take that as a retrace before a jump to $450 and beyond. I have deep faith that we'll close the year at $500-600.
