2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes ARB price keep climbing despite occasional drops ? on: April 17, 2023, 03:36:15 AM
Since the listing of ARB last month, the price has been on the rise despite occasional drops. $0.5 was not a low start point but it went higher from then on. I read a lot of news about ARB before it was listed but the instant and endurable(at least for now) success is not usual compared to other altcoins.
Honestly, I was just waiting for its price to be like that and I'm waiting for it to be low as $0.5 and then that's where Imma load up my buying order. But then, it seems that it's holding strong to that point of $1.65 and it's staying there.

What is the secret to ARB's success ? Or simply, why its price keeps steadily climbing ? Please let me know.
There's no secret on it and I think the launching was a success but it's still far from the usual success a project that needs to reach.
A long marketing and stable development is what has gained the attention of the masses with its move so I think that contributes a lot.
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 17, 2023, 02:14:09 AM
I think the worse place to work in, are loan companies.
No offense but they're just like normal people that are bringing food to their tables so, they're also people that just trying to survive just like us. They're also like corporate people that have normal lives so I don't think that they're the worse place to work.
What's worse are those people that are taking loans and don't pay them but instead think that to pay their first loan is to pay it with another debt. Maybe that's the sign that they have no intention of clearing their debts and once a person is in that situation, they're going to have a hard time going out of it and that's tested and proven by the people that I've known personally. It's better to quit borrowing and pay off a debt with another debt and don't take loans for nonsense things just like those material things that we just want to have and don't have the potential to make money. Avoid taking debts because it is a practice that can make someone be in deep of it.
2063  Other / Off-topic / Re: Prepare for the life when you get old on: April 16, 2023, 11:52:39 PM
it's a good idea to enjoy life to the fullest - but we must also not admit the fact that we all have to die sooner or later.
One of my very good doctor friend couple died in a road accident. And I couldn't sleep for past few days. I have lost all the interest in life.
Don't lose your interest in life just because your good friend died. There's more to life and you can have sorrow temporarily but don't let that stop your interest in life. As we grow older, we want to keep things simple, when we're younger what we do is to have fun so we're all done with that but that doesn't mean old folks can't also have fun. We're all working with the best that we can so that we can have a good life and enjoy things that we wanna enjoy. But don't settle for less when we get older because the battle of life gets tougher, too many things are changing and we can't depend on the younger ones in our family as we get older. It's like enjoying the things that we've got now and then not to forget that we've got bigger things that we're preparing in the future.
2064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: April 16, 2023, 11:24:40 PM
Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?

thanks in advance.
Either.
No one really knows what it will be exactly for the next months to come. But decide for yourself if you're in this market for a long time then should you buy.
But if not then wait for some more satisfying buying price before you get in because it's also good to buy at that cheap price when you think they're cheap than in the past.
Just to give you an idea of where we're heading, many are positive that the halving will make the price of bitcoin better and higher and most likely that might come next year or by 2025. If you think that you're ok with that quite long of wait then buy. Or else, DCA is the key on your worry.

Congratulations to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for winning the best import for this conference.

Game 5 is on Wednesday. It's now a best of 3 series. Will Ginebra get it again? Or the TNT will make it 2 in a row. Cheesy
Here goes of what everyone likes to see and that's a straightforward best of 7 series and that's why we're likely to see it max games for this series.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving only 1 year away on: April 16, 2023, 10:31:14 PM
I've just realized what was said on the OP that the reward after this coming halving is really low. Keep your bitcoins everyone, it's going to be terrific and scarce after that and then how much more after the 2028 halving but then let's focus on what's coming.
Time has flown so quickly that after 2020, we're going ahead to the next one and it even made look easy and fast because of the world situation now, the pandemic. Not bad to secure profits as everyone should really be, maybe this is the moment of my life when I can purchase some miners from my gains soon.  Tongue
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 16, 2023, 07:58:27 PM
Trust is a huge thing in this industry. That's why those that have built it over time are the ones being trusted by most gamblers and with what's happening to the minor casinos, it's putting a scare to even small gamblers because we all do value our money, the money that we deposit and uses to gamble in the casinos that we like to place it in. If you like to gamble in minor casinos, that's okay as long as they're legitimate and you know that you'll have no problems with them. Many of them are in legit business but can't also blame gamblers that have been tired of dealing with them for being scams. The minor ones are the ones likely to scam gamblers and will reason out some delay in withdrawals and that's the actual scam that happens, that's why if we think that a minor platform is likely to be like that, we're going away from them. And in the end, it's going to be all about our preference.
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 16, 2023, 07:30:51 PM
I know that DCA is for bitcoin but I want to try the gambling but it seems that everyone is not in support of the move.
Then I think that you're willing to go with those altcoins that have billions of supplies because they're less than the price of $100 and you'll get to have them more.
As you've mentioned like you're gambling with that money that's the first thing that I've thought of. But there are other coins like Matic, ada, and dot that are in the range of what you're saying for their price. It may be a tough decision for you to make if that's the plan you have in your mind. But since it's your money and you know the risk and that there's a certain plan that you want to do, I just wish you all the best and hope that you may find that altcoin of your choice.
2069  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: April 16, 2023, 06:56:50 PM
In social media, you see a lot of that type of trader. They proclaim themselves as mentors to others but they don't really trade at all. They know the basics of trading and strategies with it but they don't actively trade and apply what they say.
It's because they're not profitable traders and just stayed to be like an influencer but don't really do trades at all and that's how they find the bread and butter for themselves because that seems to be an effective way for them to earn some money out of the market without doing actual trades.

You figured it out very right. Social media influencers over the time have become millionaire or billionaire by teaching there followers skills which they haven't practised. In my country there is a crypto influencer, there is no proof of what he has earned in crypto trading, but his crypto signalling group generates around 100k$ turn-over for him. To me using your own mind is best strategy as it train your mind for future trading.
It's because it's easy to create some enticing videos just showing off their so-called gains over time but will never show where they actually came from. This is the reason why many are misled by these influencers thinking that this market is too easy for anyone to make a profit even not having basic knowledge of crypto and trading. They're hyping the market without validating the resources they have and making it like an actual gain they make in trading, they might have some gains but they're not showing their losses which are more than what they're showing to their audiences. We're in the digital days where every content can be done online and can be sold depending on its niches like these fake signals and basic information that can be learned over time for free but these influencers making them look like they're the geniuses and not giving the real source of that information. As if they've learned it the hard time, showing a bunch of money bills and making emotional videos that will move the audiences as if they're the solution to their money problems and they've found it through crypto trading without reminding them that they can lose all of their money.
2070  Economy / Economics / Re: Scarcity and scale of preference on: April 16, 2023, 06:32:18 PM
Resources are scarce and that's why there have been conspiracies about reducing the world's population for the rest of the number will have enough resources for everybody.
The thought and process of our minds thinking that we've got enough resources because of our situation and if we're in a better one then that's good for us. It's because not everybody is having fortunate things in life and that can be seen that there's a scarcity of resources because even for basic needs and necessities, there goes a lack for those unfortunate people given the situation of their lives. But we don't go stop from there because it's a discussion that will get a lot of good points being the actuality of it and then the meaning of opposing thoughts about it proving that everyone has a valid point. On the early days, there have been explorations and expeditions made by those great travelers through the seas and I agree on HB that soon, we'll go travel and get resources outside the Earth and getting those materials and new discoveries through the other planets. It has all started several decades ago but it won't stop there and we're not even close to an inch of that discovery because the universe is vast.
2071  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: April 16, 2023, 05:55:33 PM
A little advice not to chase promotional bonuses if you object to the existing requirements and don't push your abilities just for a bonus.
That's right, there are gamblers that are into these promos and bonuses but don't agree to the things that are being required of them to become eligible for the bonuses.
While they're encouraged on how much it is that shall be given if they're eligible but when they start to see the requirements being said by the casino, they're being discourage and tries to complain that it shouldn't be part of it but, they can't help and complain with it since it's the casino's rule and promotional and they just need to obey if they want to be part of it.
And what most gamblers really want is a bonus that is quite attractive but has friendly requirements.
Maybe this can be a consideration for casinos to be able to provide bonuses but not with difficult requirements and if casinos can provide bonuses like this then there will be many gamblers who play there because most gamblers can get each bonus, including small gamblers who previously had difficulty getting it get bonuses.
They're the ones who are giving all of those bonuses so should they also give the requirements they think is justifiable for those who want to join? I think there's no problem if they're asking for a lot of requirements and we can't complain about that. If the requirements aren't enticing and if they seem to be that much then better ignore them and just move on and avoid joining such. Although it's part of their marketing so that they can attract more players, that's how they're doing these promotional bonuses for them to work they just can't give some easy requirements as if they're giving out money easily and sweat-free. Because they know how to run these promos and they have probably experienced a lot of it and too many gamblers have abused the system and that's why these requirements they set, it's a countermeasure to avoid cheaters and discourage them from joining because it's a way for them to filter those solid and genuine participants. Anyway, this includes some wagering and if you think that they're not difficult at all to reach certain amounts then go and proceed.
2072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 16, 2023, 05:31:08 PM
It's understandable that you want to achieve financial freedom and have a better life than what your parents had. Bitcoin can be a tool to help you achieve that, but it's important to remember that there are no guarantees in investing.  Financial freedom means having enough money to cover your expenses without relying on a 9-5 job or anyone else. Bitcoin has the potential to provide that kind of freedom, but it's not a guaranteed path to success.
That's right, the risk remains but the chances are too high that this is the right tool that someday will make someone financially free. But in able to achieve financial freedom, there will be a lot of things to be sacrificed for an individual to achieve it.
And one of them is to be disciplined in money management, frugal living, and able to save as much as he can. Also, avoid those late-night parties and nonsense subscriptions.
Those are just a few of what needed to be sacrificed for someone to achieve financial freedom because the money that will be spent there needs to get into an investment, into bitcoin and that shall give the confidence for someone who's aiming this goal and that's not impossible.

So does this means that this project won't recognize the efforts of those that did the testnet? It's because I've been seeing people that have been too hyped on this project and they're boasting that this could be the next ARB. Needless to say, don't be too trusting with these projects especially the new ones because you'll never know if the developers of it will go South and will change the terms and development of these projects that you're too optimistic with.
2075  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [NEWS] GCrypto is now available to selected users on: April 15, 2023, 03:14:20 PM

Do you guys think na papalo yung price ng BTC around ~p2m this year?
Posible yan, para sa akin puwedeng umabot ng P2M ngayong taon pero mas komportable ako kung next year o di kaya 2025 para lang sigurado.

Plano ko talaga to make my first big purchase with my BTCs kaya need ko lahat ng pwedeng information about this.
2077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we want inflation for good value on BTC? on: April 14, 2023, 11:58:47 PM
That's the logic that I've to understand when I've read someone's point to be the same as yours. That's just one way for Bitcoin to reach another high but we won't be dependent on the high inflation that will be made from USD or any other fiat because that's essential that inflation will be there. And the common growth for Bitcoin has always been natural and that's just one of the factors that are being considered. I even read someone predicts about bitcoin $10M because of high inflation and devaluation of dollar but then, don't be too overhyped with those as you'll never know what's with up with global economy. Just as bitcoin, they're all unpredictable.

Yes, it is true, particularly in our country. They abruptly vanish after receiving the money from the mentees. When the market is bullish, many will give mentorships in SocMed, but when the market is bearish, they will abruptly disappear. They cannot allow their money to survive the bear market because they are aware that they are not lucrative. So let us exercise caution when selecting a mentor. If that's the only type of mentorship we can receive, it's better to perform self-learning and then utilize the money we used to pay for the mentorship as trading capital.
That's why the impression of being bad goes to crypto because of these cons and fake influencers and traders. One day that they'll be busted with these conning actions that they've been doing. It's not always a good day for them and once they're able to have that someone that will push them to the courts for being a fake TA expert and just playing the role of it, they'll for sure going to have their own time for it. You're right, and when the bear market comes and this bull run is done, they'll be gone in the wind and will be out like a dust as if nothing has happened.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 14, 2023, 10:52:44 PM
Yeah, saw that news and that's why many Warriors fans are blowing up with the first match against the Kings. It was also exposed why he's been absent for a long time and it's personal to take care of his father.
I missed watching him inside the court and those that have bought tickets that are quite expensive and is historical for this match for game 1 is going to be worth it.

True, that's why when the Warriors announcement that Wiggins is not going to play at the regular season, then we know what it means already. That if they make the playoff then definitely he will go and play. He is still one piece of the equation for the Warriors. So they are back with full strength this playoff, with Curry, Thompson, Looney, Green and Wiggins at starting five. And then they have Poole, DiVincenzo and Payton to come-in. And then the 3rd unit will include Moody, Jerome and JaMychal Green, so that is very deep in rotation for them, healthy 100%. With that, it's going to be a fun and exciting series with the Kings, they don't have the advantage in this series, but they have been in this kind of situation before, they are still one of the most dangerous teams outside despite their sixth position. It's hard to beat that championship DNA with the likes of Steph, Klay and Draymond.
That's going to be a hell of a rotation for them but we all know that these stars always get to contribute and know their job while inside the team. There are those that are designated for scoring, defense, and also for ball rotation. Well, they've been in a bad season and now they're doing great on this season, and with all of these set of rosters that they have, they've got confidence. While as for the Kings, they may take time and hard time to adjust since it's like the first time for most of their players but I won't be belittling them.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumping ground on: April 14, 2023, 10:10:28 PM
Many altcoins are dumping ground, after the project is launched people invest massively on it, they will carry out a burn and the burn will have no meaningful bulls and then àfter a while the project became dormant like one and only Africa project called "wakanda" I guess many are victims and aware of this falsehood and fake project.
That's normally happening and that's why investors should be wise in terms of going with projects that are newly launched. You'll never know the life span of these newly made projects.

Please which altcoin is currently the hotcake with bright future ahead?
ETH
BNB
These are the two that I can suggest for now but it all sums up on your opinion because there are too many of them in the market that you shall know about them if they're worth it or not.
