2081  Economy / Securities / Migrate to Bitfunder or Havelock? on: September 24, 2013, 07:45:21 AM
Any opinions?

After the obivious change-up that happened yesterday, have to move my shares to one or the other and I haven't used either.  Anybody really prefer one over the other?

500TH!  So 10x what is currently mining next month. .... Hello..!

Just in time, with the incredible amount of hashing power coming online.

Awesome... Great to hear there will be more regular updates and the other plans as well.
2084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did anyone else notice CNY/BTC volume surpassed aggregate USD/BTC volume today? on: September 24, 2013, 01:37:37 AM
Right on. Great news!  I always thought that BTC would appeal to a number of Chinese folks.

Part of my reasoning stems from many of the Chinese-owned stores in my city (everywhere?) don't accept (or like) credit cards because they don't like paying the exorbitant fees. Which I can totally understand.

Hey dev, keeping working on this, think a lot of folks such as myself are still waiting to play some tetris for cold hard bitcoins.
2086  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 23, 2013, 09:37:29 PM
why not just keep them? You're not providing a single good reason for selling this cheap... You will still get the dividends regardless of the actual price on the market. And once friedcat comes with Gen 2 you will be happy that you haven't sold.
Because I've no longer have so much trust on AM as I had before, and because psycology is strange: I hate to have missed the opportunity to make big gains, but I'd hate even more to actually take losses. So I'm selling at a price that would make me go on par (and this would still mean I've partially "lost" the time I've spent in doing this trades).

But... I'm partially convinced I could wait a bit after all, so I've slashed the sell to only ~half of my shares.
(not that I think the order will actually get filled)

You are not alone Lohoris.... sums up my thought process on AM as well.  I made a lot of profit trading prior to the summer... but I see now with AM my judgement was a bit clouded. Couldn't believe it was dropping so much after being on the ride up from 1.3 to 5.0 and should of sold back when I was down 15% (like I normally do) instead of riding it out and hoping for a turn around at like the 60% loss I'm at now.

But that being said I'm holding on  Smiley . Ya don't think those 4-5 btc-a-share-days are coming back but still think asicminer is undervalued right now at 1.35 or whatever it is.

Vycid was driving me nuts with all his constant posts on how asicminer should be worth less etc etc etc but hey got to at least give him props for making the move to short, he's the guy making a nice profit in the end,  the annoying bastard / Smiley

chenchunyu88 I'd be happy to sell you my 6 shares for the 3 btc I put in for them.

I think you must be getting close to the 78 now.
2088  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange [WINDING DOWN] on: September 23, 2013, 03:15:27 PM
Well no doubt some folks made money in today's panic.... like Labcoin, wow: 24hr low of 0.00025, high of 0.0027    (yup , those are the correct amount of 0's in that).
2089  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: UPDATED! [Live-Group Buy].5BTC = 2.8Gh/s KNCminer Jupiter *11 Sold [Selling #12] on: September 23, 2013, 02:45:05 PM
Yes I don't think anyone wants to stay in the group buy.

If we want to be democratic we could set up a poll in a thread for folks to vote, or to a private vote through PMs to someone (I'll do it if need be).

But ya, don't think that is necessary personally, as I really doubt anyone wants to stay in.

How about this for a plan:

We have the refund google docs sheet, lets keep building on that. Check the sheet, if you aren't on it, add yourself. We'll set a deadline of [open to suggestions] Wednesday, Friday? I'll send PM's to those people who are NOT on the refund list letting them know that they have until the deadline to claim a refund.  There will undoubtedly be non-responders, they can be combined into a jupiter or two, if there are enough shares.  I think it's also safe to say that there is no question that the Saturns are not going to be purchased.

"re: So is everyone OK with receiving their BTC back in today's price? if not Sam Cole can wait until the price drops so he can buy at a lower rate so you will get more BTC back ... "

I think this is the only way to go myself. It's just too messy otherwise.

That's great news and a relief to hear. Thank you for this arrangement Sam Cole.

Thanks for taking care of this today ragin... I think everyone can be much less worried that you're going to run away with the miners now, and we can proceed to just refund this mess as best we can and move on.
2091  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange w/ Options, DRIP, 2FA, API, CSV, etc. on: September 23, 2013, 07:56:48 AM
Somewhat shocked that's it's just shutting down like this.

I don't understand what happens to existing assets? I'm holding some that are not on any other exchanges..?  Fuck what a shit-show.
2092  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: September 23, 2013, 07:44:18 AM
An ASICMINER share sold @ 1.0 btc today?

I'm in mild shock. Never imagined it'd go that low, that seems a whack.

edit: Ok seems it was just 2 shares. Sort of an aberration. Maybe the dude was high or something. But still. Wow... that low eh.....

where  Huh

BTC TC. Asicminer-pt shares. Check the history...

edit: Maybe that is some sort of false trade related to the stopping / restopping of trading or something. All of the orders for the TAT shares are disappearing right now...

I'm surprised at the 24 low today. Really surprised.

Well I placed my bets. Doubled down on my shares today (majority of them bought around 3.8  Cry  )... . But at these prices, just couldn't say no.

In my limited view of it, the company is very healthy, a great price at around 2 btc right now, and has the potential to sky-rocket again as there is no way F.C is just sitting somewhere twiddling his thumbs. Guy's gonna pull out an ace, I know it !  (Well, hoping anyways).

Agree with what's being said as well....

quick fYI:  Sent out a PM to most of the people in the group buy making them aware of the issues (reached the hourly message limit so will have to pick up where I left off later today).

Prodigits / Ragin   For the third time, requesting the order numbers so they can be independently verified by a third person that they have been cancelled. edit: The other group buy for the chips was cancelled successfully so I expect this one has and stuff, I just want to make sure and it shouldn't be too hard to confirm so why not.

edit:   KNC is close to shipping.  http://www.kncminer.com/news
2097  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 18, 2013, 08:27:18 PM
Wow I can't believe the price is this low.

I'm gonna have to buy. I have no option. I'm very compelled.

The 24hr low of 1.6-odd sort of scares me (as I'm holding a decent amount of shares) but hey, so it is.

Side note: Ever since I ignored Vycid this thread has really improved.
2098  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Is anyone actually going to buy the 600 GH/s BFL unit after their customer serv? on: September 18, 2013, 12:12:58 AM
I think you'd have to be a complete retard to order anything from bFL after their behaviour.

However. I also imagine that they get a large (or not most) of their orders from unsuspecting folks new to bTC who don't read these forums or know any better, and just get suckered into one of the many BFL ads around, such as the ones on a few of the bitcoin mining calculator sites.

I think I have a bigger chance of getting struck by lightening than seeing the Monarch ship on time.

What's happening with the refunds?

Has anyone other than prodigits been to see ragingazn?

Also has anyone been to see prodigits either?

Slow progress according to prodigits, they are working on it. Ragin posted first time in a long while two or three pages back.

No one besides prodigits has seen ragin.

Nobody saw prodigits as far as I know.

I pm'ed John K to see what he says but getting the info released, and he never got back to me. Damn it, send my pm to the wrong John before. I resent to the correct JohnK this time. Will post the response.

I want the order numbers so we can get independent verification that they are cancelled. I don't see how this should be a problem?  KNC isn't like impossible-to-contact Avalon like the other group buy mess of ragin's, so it should not be too much trouble to verify with KNC that they were cancelled. I asked Pro for these but he didn't respond as of yet.

I'm a little busy today, but tomorrow, I'm also going to single-handedly going to PM every group share person in this group buy to make sure they are aware of the problems and scam potential.

Open to any ideas / coordinated actions to mitigate the scam-potential on this one. I don't know about everyone else but I'm not just going to let it slide if someone scams me off my money (this has not happened yet, but just saying.)
