2101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People will choose bitcoins more if the number of cryptocurrency option is less. on: February 14, 2023, 03:12:57 PM

Do you agree that more people will choose to invest in bitcoins if there were not so many cryptocurrency choices although not all are good?
Yes yes.

It's like when you are in a class and you're the most intelligent, you will surely be at the top. Same with cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is at the top in terms of market cap, and it's the most trusted cryptocurrency that's why people will still prefer buying it than other altcoins out there.

Bitcoin being the most trusted cryptocurrency is enough statement already. 95% or maybe 97% of the altcoins are just pure crap and can't be trusted at all. Bitcoin will still be the #1 choice of investors.

Speaking of TNT, they have a game tomorrow against Blackwater Bossing with a very high spread which i think they will have a hard time covering so with that i'm going to bet for Blackwater +11.5 @2.0.
TNT should dominate here, I hope they can minimize the production of Blackwater's import as he is a good import also. Last time he scored 40 points, and over 50+ on his debut.
I don't know if this might affect your bets, but there is a chance that they might go all-Filipino against the Bossing.

But as of posting time, the former NBA first-round draft pick has yet to obtain his LOC (Letter of Clearance) from his Korean ballclub Jeonju KCC Egis for him to be able to suit up for the team.

It didn’t help that the 28-year-old former Arizona Wildcats star and KCC Egis parted ways on a sour note.

Reports coming from the Korean Basketball League (KBL) claimed Hollis-Jefferson was cut from the team by KCC Egis head coach Chun Chang Jin allegedly after two straight bad games by the import
It seems like there is a problem with the KBL where Hollis-Jefferson is currently playing and him because they can't release him in order for him to play in the PBA. There are still hours left before they can get him and suit up to play against the Bossing.

With this news, I might go and bet with Blackwater as well in terms of spread. I might see an upset here as well just in case TNT will not have an import tomorrow. The import of Bossing is a high scorer as well unlike their former import Glover. You might wanna bet at the first minutes of the game to reduce the risk to see if TNT will have an import or not.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (food for table) on: February 14, 2023, 01:53:53 PM
Bitcoin has feed many people dead or alive, I discovered that many people source of surviving is through Bitcoin. Families that have nothing to offer has survived probably because their children are involved in trading bitcoin
I thought for a second, how to dead people eat? Cheesy
You are only pertaining here to Bitcoin trading. In fact, there are many ways to earn Bitcoin and not just in Bitcoin, but cryptocurrency in general. Thinking that you can only earn thru Bitcoin trading is bad IMO. Freelancing and accept Bitcoin as a payment is one way, faucets is another one (though not worth it) etc. There are many ways.

As for us here in our home, a percentage of our monthly income comes thru crypto (thru freelancing).

but now that the price is down I know most of us that this has being the only means of livelihood, is being tough to meet up the current hardship in the land.
No for me.
This only affects people who has Bitcoin as their only income source. For me, I still have a main job aside from my freelancing job which I'm paid thru Bitcoin. Did it affect me? Yes, but not to the point where I feel that I'm having a hard time coping up with the expenses because of what happened to the whole crypto market.

Bitcoin should do well again I pray do that we can have plenty people in what we do
There's nothing wrong in praying so just continue what you're doing. I've been investing for 4 years already, and I didn't even try to pray with regards to my investments.

Investment has not making sense anymore. Is just stagnant and dropping down the axis. Bitcoin keep putting food on our table
That's how newbies think.
They see stagnant and dropping market as a negative where in fact, it is a positive one because you can buy cryptocurrencies at a cheaper price.
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 01:32:32 PM
Kyrie already played with other stars and with the way he loves the game professionally, I can
say that he can adjust to how to help Luka.

It's a matter of time and playing together to build and established good chemistries between them
while the season is still ongoing.
Love the game "professionally"? Are you sure?
He isn't acting like he is a professional player IMO.

No offense to what you said though, but I see Kyrie differently. When he was in Cleveland, he destroyed the Big 3 of him, Lebron and Love because he isn't getting the respect that he wants thus, he requested a trade and went to Boston. When he went to Boston, he said that he will resign with the team, but what happened? He got traded and before that, he is already complaining with his team saying that they are young to win a title, and he is also complaining to their coach back then which is Coach Stevens. Now he went to Brooklyn because Durant requested it. When he got KD and Harden on his back, he ruined it again by not playing because of vaccine mandates etc. etc.

My apologies for what I've said, but Kyrie was never and will never a professional player to me. He will continue to destroy whichever teams he will play to. Unless we see some changes with him now that he's with the Mavericks then I'll change what I said.

As with Luka-Kyrie duo, give them some time to play. It isn't like Thanos where chemistry will be there in just a snap. It will take time, but aside from that, I hope that they will get good defensive role players. I hope they'll get Beverley now that he's been waived.
2105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I will never trust top exchanges on: February 14, 2023, 07:43:30 AM
You never trust these top exchanges is your opinion and there's nothing wrong against it. After all, it's your experience.

On the other hand, if I will pick the most trusted centralized exchange so far, there's nothing come close to Binance. FTX tried to be as close as Binance to the point that many see FTX as Binance's rival, but what happened? For sure, you know what happened right?

As for me, I don't "fully" trust these top exchanges even Binance, but I will still use it because I'm trading, and it's the place where I'm buying coins that I need to hold. Even so, there are still many users of Binance who chooses to store their coins into the exchange giving the full trust to them. Maybe because they can earn extra money on their exchange thru that "earn" feature, or maybe if they need to sell or buy coins for whatever reason/s it is, they don't need to wait a little longer because they can just trade it immediately.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 07:14:37 AM
Dallas Mavericks lost again.
This ain't looking pretty, that's two games with Luka and Kyrie playing side by side. Some may say Minnesota Timberwolves got stronger because they now have Conley which had good chemistry with Gobert but this is a Mavs team with two superstars so it's kind of odd to use that kind of reason.
Defense. That's the problem of the Mavericks right now.

Yes you got 2 all-star players that are very good in offense and it's pretty obvious that they are both stepping up offensively. On the other hand, they are very awful defensively and no other team is good in defense as well. Yes your team scored 121 points which is high, but how can you allow your opponent score 124 points? Even before the trade, they are already at the bottom when it comes to defense. Now that they lost their best defender which is Dorian Finney-Smith, I expect them to go even lower when it comes to defense. Like I said, I'd rather focus more on defense than offense. Just look at how the Celtics played last season.

Maybe I just expected too much from the Mavs and I thought it could work out early, they may need more time to fit but they need to make haste because their rank will keep on moving down for every loss they will take.
Give them some time. The chemistry will be build anytime soon.

On the other hand, expecting too much will just hurt you Wink. Look at the Nets right now and it was 3 years ago. Many expected the KD-Irving will be a perfect duo, and adding Harden to the team made them almost impossible to stop. Many has high expectations to the team, but what happened to them? Only won 1 playoff series, got swept against the Celtics and now they are now with different teams already. Don't expect too much always because the teams that you don't expect to win a title might be the ones who will win it all.

Hopefully, we don't see a game like that again. Let's move forward and forget what happened that night, for Ginebra fans.
Please debunk it because many might not moved on from what happened. Cheesy
Anyway, I'm not a Ginebra fan, but I've seen also losses from SMB and I just simply move on whenever sh*t happens. It happens. A lose is a lose. Move forward and move on. That's what Ginebra fans must do and forget about that "Sagip Kapamilya" thing already. Both teams did their best. It's just that, one team is having a bad night and that's it.

Ginebra will face next the San Miguel Beermen on Friday, another tough opponent right now in the conference. Tim Cone pointed out that his team last night against Magnolia was really tired due to catching up with the schedule but they don't want to use that as an excuse. They tried to keep everything close in that game but Magnolia is just playing aggressively and didn't allow them to bounce back.

Hoping to see a competitive Ginebra again in that game against San Miguel Beermen. They will surely bounce back on that bitter and embarrassing loss against the Magnolia previously. They don't want to experience again that big loss.
That's the mindset especially it came to a veteran coach like coach Tim Cone.

I also believe that they will and they must because their next opponent is another SMC. "Sagip Kapamilya" again? Forget that word already, and focus on enjoying watching every game. Thinking about it for too much will just make you stressed even you're a Ginebra fan or not.

Nevertheless, I will watch on this one between SMB and Ginebra. The last one that they matched up in Commissioners' Cup, Ginebra won thru a comeback and a three point by Scottie Thompson on the side. Can they do it again? Will the SMB make a revenge after losing to them in eliminations last season? Lets just hope that this game will be a close one so that PBA fans on the arena, and us who are watching online are happy.

Noted bro, Salamat.
Sobrang worth it talaga nung strategy na yun.

Meron dun yung tig 800 ata tapos 2x mo pwedeng bilhin.

As all of you are still talking about what happened yesterday, I was shocked at what the TNT did.
After having a good start, they just changed their import with an ex-NBA player in Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/tnt-replaces-import-jalen-hudson-with-rondae-hollis-jefferson-a793-20230213

TNT is not satisfied with a strong start in the PBA Governors' Cup.

The Tropang Giga will be bringing in a new import in former NBA player Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to take the place of the high-scoring Jalen Hudson.

I mean TNT is performing very good with him as an import, but it has stated in the article that they need an import that can also play at the paint and bigger than him. Hudson is a scorer and his frame is a bit small compare to others, thus they needed to change their import.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson played in the NBA for 7 seasons and after that, he played overseas already. His name is very familiar since he also played with the Brooklyn Nets. Can't find some highlights of him though, but let's see how he will carry the TNT team that is now at the top 2 of the leaderboards currently with 5-1 record tied with the Converge.
2111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 13, 2023, 02:17:30 PM
~
the price of BTC will surely reach $80k before the end of this year 2023.
Are you sure investors will experience $80 this year?
You are spitting facts which are Bitcoin's price pumping up and then suddenly it went down which is what really happened then now you will say that Bitcoin will reach $80,000 just because of what happened a few weeks ago?

Man wake up from your dreams even just for today. Wake up and think about how will Bitcoin reach $80,000 this year? Ohhh ok it's your predictions right and we all can make predictions as we wish. Smiley Good for you if that's your prediction. I guess you're optimism is beyond what others have right now.

It will not happen obviously. The reality is that, 2023 will just be a better year than 2022, but it doesn't mean that prices will go up high as much as it is a year ago. Bitcoin might not even reach $40,000 IMO. Still believe it will be a sideways movement this year. Just look at where Bitcoin is right now. It went up as high as $24,000 and it surpassed that price for only 2 hours and after that, it went down below $24,000 again, and we know what happened already. Bitcoin tumbled down, and what happened a few weeks ago might be a possible false breakout.
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Altcoins to look at in 2023 on: February 13, 2023, 01:48:12 PM
First of all, I like your Username. I hope that you aren't really holding a shit-ton of shitcoins out of your wallet/s. Smiley

Anyway, those 4 coins that you've shared are at the top of the list in terms of market cap and as an investor focusing on large market cap coins, I'm always looking for some of the altcoins to invest my money with.

Avalanche isn't on my radar for some reasons, but it is very popular. Chainlink is the one that I just bought recently (just a few weeks ago). DOGE has been there for a very long time and yet, I didn't have the courage to buy it for an unknown reasons (I feel embarrassed because of it). Ethereum is for me what I consider as a "blue chip altcoin" because it has been there for a very long time and until now, upgrades are still being implemented.

Among the 4, LINK and ETH are the ones that I'm holding right now aside from ADA.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 13, 2023, 01:30:32 PM
Do you think that the owners of casinos and sports betting platform, gamble as much as other people do? If they gamble, do you think they gamble on their platform?
Business owners will not jump into a venture that they don't know themselves.

Same as casino owners. They will not jump into something that they don't know and knowing gambling is very addictive (to some), I believe that they gamble as much or even more as normal gamblers do.

Where are they gambling? I believe it's not on the casino or website that they own, but on other casinos or websites. Maybe they are doing this so they can see what are the features these casino or websites has and they might implement it into their own platform. I've also seen small gamblers here in our place who are also gambling, but on a different platform and not on their own platform.

Right now many signals don't work how they use to be
Yesrterday shiba signal long was given out from the trading signals channels still not moving.
Signals are sh*t.

Tried to join once when I was still a newbie and tried to trade, but went to an easy route and joined these pump and dump signals thru telegram. Ending? It didn't end up well because whenever I receive the signal, it pumped already and I'm late. F*ck these signals.

Right now, I'm trading, and I'm not relying to these shitty signals out there. They are just scamming people. Learn trading the hard way. Many successful traders right now learned it the hard way so if you want to be a pro trader, do the same as well. There are many tools that can help you online. Don't spend your money joining to these fake shitty signals.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 13, 2023, 08:35:10 AM
Celtics won the game despite missing 2 of their starters. This team played great defense and the main weapon in their game was their 3-point shooting. I think Memphis needs to improve their rebounding department, and also they love to play one-on-one which makes them very predictable.

The good ball movement is gone, we know that Morant can generate points, but eventually, he'll be tired and will be less accurate.
Who is this Sam Hauser from the Celtics? Cheesy The name isn't that popular, but he scored more than 10 points in his last 4 games.

What's good with the Celtics is their depth. In the playoffs, this is what you need. A good starters and a bunch of role players that can step up. The depth of the Celtics is just way too good because they have players that can step up in absence of their core players. They don't have neither Brown or Smart, but they have players like White, this Hauser player and their newly acquired Muscala who scored double digits. Add as well their three-point shooting which the shot 21/51 for 41.2% from it. How can the Grizzlies allow them to shot 51 tries and make 21 of them?

Many are looking at the Suns right now ever since the KD trade, but let's not forget about the Celtics. I still believe that with their roster, they can dominate the East in the playoffs and has a high chance to go to NBA Finals again.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 13, 2023, 08:17:38 AM
I would add that gambling increases the likelihood of having problems with family (spouse and children).
It could happen because the neglect of important matters (as you mentioned) and the fact a compulsive gambler could feel  too stressed or depressed to have a quality time with them, not even mentioning the possible loss of money intended to family expenses.
Just to add with this one, I don't think that the phrase "increases the likelihood" can be applied here because I believe that whenever you're gambling and you don't know how to control your urge on it, it's a 100% sure that you're relationship with your family will be affected.

I mean your savings might get depleted, your relative might do something bad if you have a relative that has a compulsive gambling disorder. Family problems in a gambler that has this kind of disorder is inevitable. This is the reason why I don't want to get addicted to gambling. As a family-oriented person, I don't want my relation with my family be destroyed just because of me getting addicted into gambling. Maybe there will be a time where these compulsive gamblers will soon realize their wrong decisions. There will be a where they will realize and think that "I just hope I didn't ever tried to gamble at all. This is the after effects of my decisions. My family is now gone."
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 13, 2023, 07:55:24 AM
Fine to Ginebra fans if they lose that game but if only the game went out close, that would be more fun and exciting.

Manila Clasico is expected to be like that and because Magnolia is currently at the bottom of the standing and they need a win, we can't avoid those people speculating that something wrong is happening.

Either way, that was a win that Magnolia had to keep up with the standings and be alive at the elimination round.
They have a term from what happened yesterday. "Sagip Kapamilya" Cheesy.
It's kind of funny when I heard this term and being used with this game, but that's the truth. Magnolia needs wins, and what they need in order for them to get wins? Get them from their sister companies.

That game is the largest margin of any Manila Clasico in history. 30 point margin. I just hope that Ginebra fans are ok with the result. It would be better indeed if Magnolia lost by only a single digit or the whole game will be a close one so that fans are happy watching it personally, but instead of happiness, they felt disappointment.

Anyway, let's move on about it and forget the negative. Let's focus on the positives shall we? Smiley Magnolia's new import, Antonio Hester is way better than their previous import. He almost got a triple double 26 points-18 rebounds-9 assists. His footwork is good as well knowing that his body frame is kind of fat. Overall, they are on a 2 game winning streak with their new import, and I hope that the Hotshots will play better now.
2118  Economy / Economics / Re: When your passive income equals or slightly above your salary, what would you do on: February 13, 2023, 07:35:47 AM
I will continue to work at my main job (if I'm already working) because after all, what is called passive income sometimes doesn't always work continuesly. It would be wiser if we put passive income into our savings and we continue to work as usual or start a new business.
It depends and a bad advice coming from you.

Passive income is a continuous cash flow coming from companies. I'm pertaining about the stock market since they're the ones that are giving passive income towards the stakeholders thru dividends. They are giving yearly.

With regards to the passive income putting into savings, that's a bad decision for me. Why you put your earnings of your passive income into savings where in fact, you can just re-invest it again and increase your passive income? Dividend re-investing. It's good to say that you will continue to work, and it's the advice that you will heard from many people especially if you can still work.

I hope one day I can get passive income that is bigger than active income, if that happens of course the best thing I will do is look for other sources of passive income or make passive income bigger, of course it takes time and experience to be able to get passive income income which is equivalent to active income, but by spreading money to many types of investments, we can have the opportunity to get passive income which is bigger than active income.
I have seen this numerous times in different platforms, but this is the formula that they are using.
(Your expected monthly passive income x12) / percentage

Increasing your capital also increase your passive income depending on what asset did you invest with. Good for you because you think of looking for other sources of passive income to make it bigger. Some took their passive income and spend it anywhere. Building a portfolio that will give you a passive income higher than your current income will take a long time (depending on how many your streams of income are), but it's achievable. We've seen many people that got millions of dividends thru stock market and that's passive income.

Anyway if I may ask, what are the assets that are giving passive income to investors? I have some in my mind, but maybe there's something that I don't know. Smiley

The bearing price of bitcoin has deflected to $23,000. From the analysis it will still go down more but never the less there is hope.

In the 2011 bitcoin price bearing was more than now but bitcoin was able to pulled through, I believe this time is going to far more better than we have ever experience.
Analysis are being done by analysts.
Analysts are often making wrong prediction.
In short, don't follow what they are saying. Don't even listen to them in general.

I don't personally listen to them because I don't want to. I don't know, but there might be a chance that many of them are being paid just to make this analysis or prediction to brainwash newbies. Analysis and prediction are just the same. They just changed the word to make it more formal, but in the end, they don't know what can happen to the market. Just don't listen to these analysts in media and I'll add those crypto Youtubers who are posting their predictions as well.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Delisted Alts from KuCoin!!! on: February 13, 2023, 02:37:06 AM
Some of the coins that are listed are already in the market like 5 years ago when I'm starting to learn crypto. Coins such as: PIVX, Populous, Tomochain, Tokocrypto, Augur, Bancor, Power Ledger, Metahash, IDEX.

I saw Credits and SOV on the list as well. The 2 projects that I almost invested my money with. Credits has one of the most successful ICO's way back in 2017, and I will not forget that one while SOV is the one that I followed, but unfortunately I didn't have money by the time I want to invest into it.

Some of the coins are NFT game coins, and some are just unpopular. Kucoin has been there for years, but I'm not using it at all since I only use Binance. Anyway, coin delisting often leads to a huge loss to the price of the coin so a bit unfortunate for those who are holding these coins. Hope they managed to withdraw their assets there and sold it.
