2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 16, 2023, 01:55:13 AM
TBH, I was surprised that both games scored that high. I didn't expect since I've always seen teams scoring less than 100 points or at around 100-110 in the last games, but the 2 games yesterday was just a high-scoring game. 118-136 and 132-145. It's like an NBA game.

The first game of the day, and the debut game for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and they got the victory over the Bossing 136-118. Their import isn't a three-point shooter, and you can see it on the stats that he didn't attempt any three point, but he is efficient on the perimeter shooting 14-23. At the same time, Pogoy just erupted and scored 40 points on that game. Looks like the TNT are back after their disappointing performance last season. 2nd in the standings and tied up with SMB with 6-1 record.

The second game of the day. I thought that it will be a low scoring game for some reasons, but it wasn't and it was also a high scoring game. It's a close one at the halftime and SMB only lead by 5, but they manage to get the victory. Now I've seen JMF scoring more than 20+ points this conference. He scored 29 points and their import scored 44 points. I knew their import as a low scoring one, though very good in the paint, but in this game, he just lead his team offensively. On the other hand, the Batang Pier are still winless with 0-6 record. They might got eliminated in this conference again if they lose on their next game against TerraFirma (another farm team).

Anyway, who won the bets? I only won 1 out of the 3 bets that I've made. Cheesy

~

I was able to bet on these games, won the Raptors game while losing on the Bucks game. Didn't expect that Celtics will make it a very close game, they almost upset the home team but good thing the game went over, in the OT, it was still the Celtics who had an early lead, but the Bucks did come back to complete a win.
As a bettor, who would've expect that the Celtics will play on that way. Cheesy

That only shows that they are the team to watch out with. They have all the tools offensively and at the same time, they have players who are for me I can call the "Giannis Stoppers" who can stop and defend him inside the paint. Of course if he's running on fastbreak, expect that no one can stop him, but in the paint, the Celtics have the players that can defend him. Grant Williams is the one that I always see that can stop him.

Anyway, here are my bets for this tonight's game.

Atlanta Hawks - New York Knicks = New York Knicks @ 2.38
Philadelphia 76ers - Cleveland Cavaliers = Philadelphia 76ers @ 1.92
Brooklyn Nets - Miami Heat = Brooklyn Nets @ 1.81
Los Angeles Lakers - New Orleans Pelicans = New Orleans Pelicans @2.70

Good luck to all of us. Smiley
2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 15, 2023, 08:55:47 AM
No way Franklin is going to win that. I bet he wont be able to jump above his head this time. He was recently beaten by Whyte (even though it was a close fight), and before that he had only experience of fighting "not big start". This is the fight between pro and average boxer. Franklin is not even a top5 of heavyweights. This looks more not a boxing fight, but Joshua's managers attempt to save AJ career. AJ needs an easy fight to recover mentally after two straight losses.
Losing 2 consecutive bouts is a big disappointment already for the boxer, but to losing three straight especially to a boxer who like you said is an average boxer is very traumatizing to him.

He is starting to make a comeback after losing the belts to Usyk. As for the odds, Joshua is 1.08 while Franklin is 7.20 base on Stake. Not an attractive one, but if somebody wants to bet on the match, it will be how long the match will be. On stake, it is Under/Over 7.5 and Joshua has 22 of his 24 wins coming from KO so, maybe betting under 7.5 might be a good bet, but it may change anyway. I hope he can recover on his recent losses.
2104  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 15, 2023, 08:25:47 AM
There are some factors into it.

Where are you living? If you're living in a third world country, then a small profit for other people might be large to you already. If that's the case then you can achieve it faster than those who are in a different country like those in the first world countries. Another one is time-frame. How many years are you willing to hold your cryptocurrencies? 1 year? 3 years? 5 years? Achieving financial independence takes time and when I mean it takes time, normally it takes 5-10 years depending on some factors like when did you bought your cryptocurrencies and when did you sold it. Your mindset is also one. If you think that cryptocurrency is a quick rich scheme then better invest in those HYIP's out there.

Financial independence thru cryptocurrency is definitely achievable. I've seen some people here in the forum, and online and for sure those early adopters whose lives are changed because of cryptocurrencies.
2105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 15, 2023, 07:57:57 AM
Same here, I thought that -7.5 is going to be covered by the Bucks because of Celtics missing their best players. And I thought that the winning streak is going to be end tonight.

The Bucks started very strong in the fourth, from down 95-90, then tie the score and even take the lead. But Celtics keeps fighting back and when you thought that the game is already done with the Bucks leading 3, Sam Hauser nail that three in the middle, forcing OT. Not a good night for some of us.
Many got baited with the fact that the Celtics are playing with the Bucks without their core players like Brown, Tatum, and Smart including me. I also thought that -7.5 will be easily covered by the Bucks, but I was wrong. The good thing though that I made with that game is that I put my bet on the Bucks in winning the game when they are still down and luckily, I won on that bet so my loss with my spread just came back because of that win.

Overall, I'm very impressed with how the Celtics are playing right now. Take note that they are up against a complete and top team in Bucks and they lost by only 6 points, and it also went to overtime. Derrick White's impressive performance has been taken out by Jrue Holiday's 40 points, and that three that he made at the final seconds of the game sealed the deal and got the victory.

Here are the results of my bets.
Toronto Raptors - Orlando Magic = Orlando Magic @ 3.40
- Lost. I thought that the Magic can steal one on the road. They manage to take the lead, but loss by double digits.
Milwaukee Bucks - Boston Celtics = Milwaukee Bucks (-7.5) @1.61
- Lost with this bet, but I put a bet during the game with the Bucks winning the game and I won so overall, I won with this game.
Phoenix Suns - Sacramento Kings = Phoenix Suns @ 1.77
- Won. I expect them to beat the Kings after how they are playing in their recent games and that is without Bridges. They have players that stepped up offensively and defensively.
Portland Trail Blazers - Washington Wizards = Washington Wizards @ 1.94
- Won. With Kuz, KP and Beal playing, I thought that they can steal one on the road and they are playing good on the road as well so I put my bet on them, and I won.
2106  Economy / Speculation / Re: what now ? on: February 15, 2023, 07:19:59 AM
Bitcoin is very bullish at the moment ,
what you guys think , it's a short term rally or beginning of bull market
or I missed the bottom
i am something less active so ,
Want some updates

according to weekly chart? it stays the same status from 20-24k staying ?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

wondering if there are more big movement coming but for me? i believe that this will be the status around the year , or maybe at least moving to 30k maximum .

and updates? just check the market mate and you can see the graph yourself.

https://coinmarketcap.com/
You see $30,000 as the maximum? I see $25,000 as the maximum, and it seems like it can't surpass even the $24,000 price.

TBH, we might see Bitcoin staying at around the $20,000-$24,000 price like you said unless something bad happen that might affect the market negative like maybe increase in interest or CPI update etc.

Overall, the rally that just happened a few weeks ago is just a short term rally. No beginning or a bull market or anything related to it because it will not happen at least this year. I predict a sideways movement with Bitcoin this year. We might see some short rallies like this one, but a few weeks after it happen, it will slowly go down like what's happening currently where it rises up to up to $24,000, but went down to $21,000. Good thing that it's starting to go up again as of this moment.
2107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 15, 2023, 06:57:17 AM
Avoid ending up like a friend, who used all the money he has to invest in bitcoin and also took a loan, promising the lender that he will pay back when he gets paid in a month, after a month he never received the salary, I warned him doing this, because he has no doubt mixed investment with 'whatever it takes', is it safe to call this greed? I don't know.
Another newbie has been trapped with the "quick-rich" mindset.

For sure the main reason why he go "YOLO" and put all of his money into Bitcoin is that, there is somebody who said that you can get more profit in investing into Bitcoin than other assets. Maybe it's you who said that? Kidding, but it frustrating that these people are teaching wrong things about Bitcoin to the point that they are investing most of their money into it hoping that they can get profit in a short amount of time.

It's greedy no doubt.

Now he wants me to lend him some money to at least pay the loaner back and later settle me, there is more, now I have to send him some money to buy some food.
Be a good samaritan and help your friend. Smiley After all you're friends anyway so... yeah just help him Cheesy.
I hope that you're the last person that he will be borrowing money with because if not, he might do it with other people thus, it will be a nonstop cycle of "borrow here-Pay there" cycle. He borrows money from one person just to use it to pay to another person and the cycle goes on and on.

You don't have to use all your money to invest, even if you are not married yet or have other responsibilities, the best approach when planning to invest in Bitcoin is to buy with some percentage of the money you earning, maybe through business or a job.
Married or Single. Independent or Dependent. With Family or not. You must not all use all of your money into investing especially in to a risky asset like Bitcoin. Don't be into "YOLO" mode Cheesy. Use only a portion of your monthly income.
2108  Other / Meta / Re: Good move or nah? on: February 15, 2023, 06:25:00 AM
The forum doesn't have an age-restriction (and I don't know how they will implement it just incase Cheesy), but do it at your own risk.

What I mean when I say risk is the fact that the kid you are saying might be curious about those gambling websites out there and it might affect him negatively. Well, it's good to see people here sharing information and yes you can learn everything related to Bitcoin and crypto here in this forum, but there are some negative things as well and one is being addicted to gambling because of his/her curiosity to these gambling sites that he/she is seeing here.

There's nothing wrong bringing in a 13-year old kiddo here in the forum, but guide him so that he/she will learn. Just letting him do what he/she wants here might have negative effects on the kid. I wonder if OP really let that 13-year old kid register here. Cheesy
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 15, 2023, 06:15:11 AM
Going to jump in for Gilas at this moment, what can you say that Kelly Williams is offered to play for the team? He's already added to the pool though. He's one of the best PBA players that I've grown up with but at his age, do you think that he'll be able to make and play his role while we know that he's already aged?
Did a quick look on the 24 man pool of Gilas that is in center position and it seems like they only got June Mar Fajardo and Raymond Almazan on the list. Kai Sotto will likely miss out the games while Japeth and Kouame are injured. LINK

This is the reason why they contacted Kelly Williams and offered to play for the team. I don't know, but they might try and get Mo Tautuaa as well if he's available. Overall, Williams' age might affect his performance, but he's playing well still in the PBA so maybe he can be a good back-up center for the Gilas, but with limited minutes I guess. They can't afford to do small line-ups as well because PH players are smaller than those of other countries that they are facing with.
2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 15, 2023, 03:25:15 AM
One thing about Suns is that they have way too much offense to their very little defense. CP3 is not the defender he used to be, Booker is not a great defender, and Ayton is a good rebounder but couldn't say he was a rim protector, not a feared one at least, and Durant is great at defense but he will be pretty tired on scoring constantly on offense, so he can't really put all his efforts on defense.

True, that's why they also given up something in return getting KD, they don't have the twins anymore which is their perimeter defender and willing to sacrifice their body. So we will see if the acquisition of KD is worth if they get into the finals as least.
That's what they did. They've given up defense to focus more on offense.

Both the Mavericks and the Suns did that. They've traded their defensive players plus their draft picks for 2 of the best all-star players in the league right now. As for the Suns, there's no problem with them offensively especially their starting 5 is for me one of the best on paper this season and on the other hand, KD is also a great defender with around 1 BPG so it's still ok for the team. The question is the health of their players. Booker, Paul, and Durant has a long history of injuries.

Also take note that CP3 is known for being the best choker when it comes to playoffs. We have Coach Doc Rivers as the coach who is choking on the playoffs, and we also have CP3 who is also choking on the playoffs. CP3 is the only player who blown out 2-0 lead 5 times. Will CP3's past performance on the playoffs affect his whole team this season?
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 15, 2023, 12:36:46 AM
Thought the Heat could defend their home, but I guess the Nuggets are still very dangerous even without Murray. It is a good game though.
Murray isn't the main person on the team anymore, but it's Jokic.
Add also the fact that their depth is so far one of the best in the league this season, an absence of an all-star player can't be felt that much because they still have role players like Gordon that can step up if needed.

I like the Bucks going into tonight game too, not just about being the home team or trying to take some form of pride in the game, the Boston Celtics could also be without their complete 5 starters, with Jaylen Brown, Tatum, and Marcus Smart all ruled out already, and Robert Williams and Al Horford listed as questionable, Milwaukee Bucks could have wished for a better time to face the Celtics, the second unit of Celtics led by Derrick White and Brogdon are still a bit of force to reckon with, so the Bucks shouldn't get all comfortable too.
All of their core players are out, and add also the fact that they are playing on the road.
On the other hand, the Celtics are still a good team and they show it against the Grizzlies (though it was on their home). Anyway, I put my bet on the Bucks on this one and these are my bets for today:

Toronto Raptors - Orlando Magic = Orlando Magic @ 3.40
Milwaukee Bucks - Boston Celtics = Milwaukee Bucks (-7.5) @1.61
Phoenix Suns - Sacramento Kings = Phoenix Suns @ 1.77
Portland Trail Blazers - Washington Wizards = Washington Wizards @ 1.94

Do you agree that more people will choose to invest in bitcoins if there were not so many cryptocurrency choices although not all are good?
Yes yes.

It's like when you are in a class and you're the most intelligent, you will surely be at the top. Same with cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is at the top in terms of market cap, and it's the most trusted cryptocurrency that's why people will still prefer buying it than other altcoins out there.

Bitcoin being the most trusted cryptocurrency is enough statement already. 95% or maybe 97% of the altcoins are just pure crap and can't be trusted at all. Bitcoin will still be the #1 choice of investors.

Speaking of TNT, they have a game tomorrow against Blackwater Bossing with a very high spread which i think they will have a hard time covering so with that i'm going to bet for Blackwater +11.5 @2.0.
TNT should dominate here, I hope they can minimize the production of Blackwater's import as he is a good import also. Last time he scored 40 points, and over 50+ on his debut.
I don't know if this might affect your bets, but there is a chance that they might go all-Filipino against the Bossing.
https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/tnt-activates-hollis-jefferson-but-faces-prospect-playing-all-pinoy-against-bossing-a793-20230214
Quote
But as of posting time, the former NBA first-round draft pick has yet to obtain his LOC (Letter of Clearance) from his Korean ballclub Jeonju KCC Egis for him to be able to suit up for the team.

It didn’t help that the 28-year-old former Arizona Wildcats star and KCC Egis parted ways on a sour note.

Reports coming from the Korean Basketball League (KBL) claimed Hollis-Jefferson was cut from the team by KCC Egis head coach Chun Chang Jin allegedly after two straight bad games by the import
It seems like there is a problem with the KBL where Hollis-Jefferson is currently playing and him because they can't release him in order for him to play in the PBA. There are still hours left before they can get him and suit up to play against the Bossing.

With this news, I might go and bet with Blackwater as well in terms of spread. I might see an upset here as well just in case TNT will not have an import tomorrow. The import of Bossing is a high scorer as well unlike their former import Glover. You might wanna bet at the first minutes of the game to reduce the risk to see if TNT will have an import or not.
2114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (food for table) on: February 14, 2023, 01:53:53 PM
Bitcoin has feed many people dead or alive, I discovered that many people source of surviving is through Bitcoin. Families that have nothing to offer has survived probably because their children are involved in trading bitcoin
I thought for a second, how to dead people eat? Cheesy
You are only pertaining here to Bitcoin trading. In fact, there are many ways to earn Bitcoin and not just in Bitcoin, but cryptocurrency in general. Thinking that you can only earn thru Bitcoin trading is bad IMO. Freelancing and accept Bitcoin as a payment is one way, faucets is another one (though not worth it) etc. There are many ways.

As for us here in our home, a percentage of our monthly income comes thru crypto (thru freelancing).

but now that the price is down I know most of us that this has being the only means of livelihood, is being tough to meet up the current hardship in the land.
No for me.
This only affects people who has Bitcoin as their only income source. For me, I still have a main job aside from my freelancing job which I'm paid thru Bitcoin. Did it affect me? Yes, but not to the point where I feel that I'm having a hard time coping up with the expenses because of what happened to the whole crypto market.

Bitcoin should do well again I pray do that we can have plenty people in what we do
There's nothing wrong in praying so just continue what you're doing. I've been investing for 4 years already, and I didn't even try to pray with regards to my investments.

Investment has not making sense anymore. Is just stagnant and dropping down the axis. Bitcoin keep putting food on our table
That's how newbies think.
They see stagnant and dropping market as a negative where in fact, it is a positive one because you can buy cryptocurrencies at a cheaper price.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 01:32:32 PM
Kyrie already played with other stars and with the way he loves the game professionally, I can
say that he can adjust to how to help Luka.

It's a matter of time and playing together to build and established good chemistries between them
while the season is still ongoing.
Love the game "professionally"? Are you sure?
He isn't acting like he is a professional player IMO.

No offense to what you said though, but I see Kyrie differently. When he was in Cleveland, he destroyed the Big 3 of him, Lebron and Love because he isn't getting the respect that he wants thus, he requested a trade and went to Boston. When he went to Boston, he said that he will resign with the team, but what happened? He got traded and before that, he is already complaining with his team saying that they are young to win a title, and he is also complaining to their coach back then which is Coach Stevens. Now he went to Brooklyn because Durant requested it. When he got KD and Harden on his back, he ruined it again by not playing because of vaccine mandates etc. etc.

My apologies for what I've said, but Kyrie was never and will never a professional player to me. He will continue to destroy whichever teams he will play to. Unless we see some changes with him now that he's with the Mavericks then I'll change what I said.

As with Luka-Kyrie duo, give them some time to play. It isn't like Thanos where chemistry will be there in just a snap. It will take time, but aside from that, I hope that they will get good defensive role players. I hope they'll get Beverley now that he's been waived.
2116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I will never trust top exchanges on: February 14, 2023, 07:43:30 AM
You never trust these top exchanges is your opinion and there's nothing wrong against it. After all, it's your experience.

On the other hand, if I will pick the most trusted centralized exchange so far, there's nothing come close to Binance. FTX tried to be as close as Binance to the point that many see FTX as Binance's rival, but what happened? For sure, you know what happened right?

As for me, I don't "fully" trust these top exchanges even Binance, but I will still use it because I'm trading, and it's the place where I'm buying coins that I need to hold. Even so, there are still many users of Binance who chooses to store their coins into the exchange giving the full trust to them. Maybe because they can earn extra money on their exchange thru that "earn" feature, or maybe if they need to sell or buy coins for whatever reason/s it is, they don't need to wait a little longer because they can just trade it immediately.
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 07:14:37 AM
Dallas Mavericks lost again.
This ain't looking pretty, that's two games with Luka and Kyrie playing side by side. Some may say Minnesota Timberwolves got stronger because they now have Conley which had good chemistry with Gobert but this is a Mavs team with two superstars so it's kind of odd to use that kind of reason.
Defense. That's the problem of the Mavericks right now.

Yes you got 2 all-star players that are very good in offense and it's pretty obvious that they are both stepping up offensively. On the other hand, they are very awful defensively and no other team is good in defense as well. Yes your team scored 121 points which is high, but how can you allow your opponent score 124 points? Even before the trade, they are already at the bottom when it comes to defense. Now that they lost their best defender which is Dorian Finney-Smith, I expect them to go even lower when it comes to defense. Like I said, I'd rather focus more on defense than offense. Just look at how the Celtics played last season.

Maybe I just expected too much from the Mavs and I thought it could work out early, they may need more time to fit but they need to make haste because their rank will keep on moving down for every loss they will take.
Give them some time. The chemistry will be build anytime soon.

On the other hand, expecting too much will just hurt you Wink. Look at the Nets right now and it was 3 years ago. Many expected the KD-Irving will be a perfect duo, and adding Harden to the team made them almost impossible to stop. Many has high expectations to the team, but what happened to them? Only won 1 playoff series, got swept against the Celtics and now they are now with different teams already. Don't expect too much always because the teams that you don't expect to win a title might be the ones who will win it all.

Hopefully, we don't see a game like that again. Let's move forward and forget what happened that night, for Ginebra fans.
Please debunk it because many might not moved on from what happened. Cheesy
Anyway, I'm not a Ginebra fan, but I've seen also losses from SMB and I just simply move on whenever sh*t happens. It happens. A lose is a lose. Move forward and move on. That's what Ginebra fans must do and forget about that "Sagip Kapamilya" thing already. Both teams did their best. It's just that, one team is having a bad night and that's it.

Ginebra will face next the San Miguel Beermen on Friday, another tough opponent right now in the conference. Tim Cone pointed out that his team last night against Magnolia was really tired due to catching up with the schedule but they don't want to use that as an excuse. They tried to keep everything close in that game but Magnolia is just playing aggressively and didn't allow them to bounce back.

Hoping to see a competitive Ginebra again in that game against San Miguel Beermen. They will surely bounce back on that bitter and embarrassing loss against the Magnolia previously. They don't want to experience again that big loss.
That's the mindset especially it came to a veteran coach like coach Tim Cone.

I also believe that they will and they must because their next opponent is another SMC. "Sagip Kapamilya" again? Forget that word already, and focus on enjoying watching every game. Thinking about it for too much will just make you stressed even you're a Ginebra fan or not.

Nevertheless, I will watch on this one between SMB and Ginebra. The last one that they matched up in Commissioners' Cup, Ginebra won thru a comeback and a three point by Scottie Thompson on the side. Can they do it again? Will the SMB make a revenge after losing to them in eliminations last season? Lets just hope that this game will be a close one so that PBA fans on the arena, and us who are watching online are happy.

Noted bro, Salamat.
Sobrang worth it talaga nung strategy na yun.

Meron dun yung tig 800 ata tapos 2x mo pwedeng bilhin.
