1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to better promote our project effectively ? on: March 09, 2023, 07:21:45 AM
Collaboration, Communication, Social Media, Honesty.

1. Collaboration - paying some popular people might help you in advertising your project. Yes, there are some influencers that are promoting some scam projects, but overall, paying them to promote your project isn't a bad idea at all especially if you don't have any intention to scam investors.

2. Communication - as a new project, expect lots and lots of question from investors regarding to your project. It's your project so you must know the in's and out's of it. If you can answer all or most of the questions of the investors, that increases the chances of them investing to your project. This isn't a guarantee though, same with the first one.

3. Social Media - use the power of the social media. Paid advertisements from different platforms will help your project be promoted. When ICO is on it's hype in 2018, I often see some new ICO projects in my timeline. They are paying to increase their chances of the project being seen online.

4. Honesty - show your honesty to your investors and to your community. If they felt that there is something wrong with your project or somebody with the developers are lying with their answers, the investor will just go out immediately and will not invest in your project anymore.

There might be some ways still, but these are the things that I know.
1722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is launching a new project during bear market a good idea?? 🤔 on: March 09, 2023, 05:52:53 AM
~
I've seen alot of projects did so well during the bull market, but now I'm wondering is bear market will affect the progress of a new project...
It depends on your motives.

If you really wanted to bring a good project to the investors, it doesn't matter whether it will be a bull market or a bear market. Yes projects are going up and doing well in the bull run, but most of the projects after the bull market are either going down in popularity, the developers suddenly leave the project with no developments whatsoever or just turning out to be a scam project.

Bear market is for the developers who want to deliver projects to the investors. It's their time to develop, upgrade and make the project better. I've seen projects that are emerging in the bear market, but the problem is most of them aren't successful. Even those projects that have been created in the bull market doesn't guarantee them a success as well so I guess it doesn't matter whether you launch your project during the bull or the bear market.
1723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: March 09, 2023, 03:45:45 AM
So, as the title would suggest, is it too late to start investing on crypto? And if not, what would be the essentials to learn on working on it?
I don't think the word "late" is applicable in investing in general unless you are a senior already then it's a different story.

I mean you can start anytime you want. You knew Bitcoin in 2017, but have doubts in it right? It's ok because it isn't only you who thought like that 6 years ago. What's important now is that you started investing into crypto. What's bad is to not try investing at all. You're not late to start in investing into crypto.

As for the things or sites you need if you want to learn, there are many websites online and many already shared some of them as well, so just browse on it and start learning. Learning takes time so be patient to learn. Smiley
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 09, 2023, 02:24:22 AM
Just some update regarding Ja Morant's situation. The latest tells that he's not going to be charged as there's a lack of evidence as to what's filed against him. It's said that he's still out for quite a few games which were said in the article and in the quote.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant will be away from the team for at least four more games, the team said on Wednesday, shortly after police announced that he will not face charges in Colorado related to the livestreamed video is which he appeared to be displaying a gun in a strip club.

“Ja Morant will continue to remain away from the team for at least the next four games,” the team said with no further comment.
What about the NBA itself? What will the NBA do with the incident? Is there any announcements or any sanctions that the NBA has been given to him?

I remembered the late David Stern who is a very strict Commissioner, and if he's the current NBA Commissioner right now, after a day or 2, there will already be sanctions given to Morant already. Well, the good thing though is that we will see Morant playing again in the playoffs because I thought that this incident might cause him not to play indefinitely.

Anyway, he's fine in the West like he said in an interview. Let's see how the Grizzlies perform in the remaining games of the season and in the playoffs.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 09, 2023, 01:19:57 AM
Bets of mine for today's games.

Washington Wizards - Atlanta Hawks - Washington Wizards @ 2.23
- I think that the Wizards can defend their home against the visiting Hawks. Atlanta are 14-20 on the road while Washington is 15-15. The Hawks needed to win on this because if they don't, they will drop to 9th or even 10th seed, but still having a new coach means having a new playstyle, and that affects the players in terms of how they are currently playing, so I'm betting on the Wizards.

Miami Heat - Cleveland Cavaliers - Cleveland Cavaliers @ 1.78
- I guess the Cavaliers have the pieces to win on this one on the road against the Heat. They only have a 13-19 road record, but the come-from-behind win against the Celtics might boost the morale of the team coming into this game that's why I put my bet on them.

New Orleans Pelicans - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks @ 1.74
- The Mavericks might have some struggles on defense, but the Pelicans are struggling since Zion got injured. From the top seeded team all the way to currently 10th. They're like the Nets when KD got injured where they're standings are just a freefall. I believe the Mavericks will win on this one.

Los Angeles Clippers - Toronto Raptors - Los Angeles Clippers @ 1.72
- With their win on their last game and with Zubac coming back, I think the Clippers have the pieces to win this one. I don't believe in Westbrook being a curse whatsoever. The Raptors also only got a 12-21 record which is kind of bad for me.

Good Luck to all bettors. Smiley

We're almost had a same situation. The only difference with me is that, I realized earlier that working 9-5 will not make me rich. I realized that working as an employee will not make me rich. I realized it when I graduated from college that I don't see myself working with other people. I want to work with my own terms. I want to work whenever I wanted to do.

Like you, Bitcoin is also the main reason why I'm living the life that I wanted now. Yes there are some goals that are still unachieved yet, but the fact that I'm working whenever I want to work is one of the best decisions I've done. You know what's the best thing that a person can achieve? Working with your own terms while earning more than enough for your monthly needs. Doing what you want to do while earning still.

This post has been posted a few weeks ago, but still, I'm grateful that you shared your experience. I have now a reason why I still need to continue what I'm doing right now. Health is wealth indeed so choose a work that will not make you stress that much because stress decreases the life span of a person (don't know if this is true Cheesy).

As for the people who are currently on the "rat race", as much as possible try to learn a skill that will help you find a job online. The pandemic has made people realize that people can still work even though they are still on their home. This isn't only with Bitcoin, but having a work that you are doing on your home equals more time with your family. Smiley
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 08, 2023, 01:44:18 PM
~
Did you manage to convince your dads or other older people in your family to buy BTC?
The fact that he is into computer in the early years made him decide whether Bitcoin is a good thing to invest with or not. Back in the 90's, it's the stock market that's existing if you want to get some assets. Of course this disregards the precious metals that you can be bought. No other crypto market at that time.

Convincing my parents to invest into Bitcoin might be impossible for me. They don't have any background when it comes to investing in general. They have an "employee" mindset, and didn't try investing at all. I'm not telling them to invest though and will not convince them, but if I will say it to them, they might be skeptical when they heard it or find it confusing for them to learn knowing that they are seniors already.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 08, 2023, 01:02:41 PM
That was not what I predicted in the Knicks game. Not amazing at all.
~
I guess we will just see if they can bounce back from it.
They even defeated Boston Celtics twice on that 9 game winning streak, but guess what... their streak is over thanks to the... Charlotte Hornets?

I mean who in the hell expected that the win streak of the Knicks will be snapped by some bottom teams right now. It will be understandable if top teams did that like the Bucks or the Nuggets, but to a bottom team like the Hornets? Did somebody bet on the Hornets on this game. They will bounce back from this one. They are performing better after the trade deadline. I just hope that Brunson will come back soon.

Speaking of coming back, I wonder how the Grizzlies will come back after the series of events that happened with the team.

First is the Ja Morant issue in his social media account. Second is Brandon Clarke suffering a season-ending injury. I wonder how will Coach Taylor Jenkins make an adjustment with his team. Morant doesn't have a timetable right now on when he will return. How will the "Dynasty" team play without their captain? Right now, the Grizzlies are already 3rd in the Western Conference, currently tied with the Kings who is now in the 2nd spot. We are nearing to the end of the regular season. I'm exciting on how the Grizzlies will adjust with what's happening with them.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 08, 2023, 12:36:36 PM
DYIP almost had this win, and it was an entertaining game, but in the end, Ginebra made sure they would not let DYIP upset them. The performances of Brownlee, Thompson, and Malonzo were impressive in the last few seconds of the game.

Brownlee made a 3-point shot, Malonzo dunked the ball, and although Thompson missed the follow-up shot, he got the offensive rebound, giving Ginebra the ball position.

Congratulations to the winners, as the handicap for DYIP was easily covered.
At least the fans find the game very entertaining, and for sure it is.

I mean for sure many of us are thinking that this game will be a one-sided match knowing that Ginebra will face a bottom team like TerraFirma, but they fought and had the lead at some times, but Ginebra got the last laugh and won the game. Kudos to the Dyip because they didn't gave the win that easily unlike the first game where Magnolia left Blackwater behind at the 3rd quarter of their game.

Next games will be after 6 days as we will see PBA going to another place for the All-Star. Anybody here that is living near the venue or at least will go and watch in person? Cheesy

How are your bets today? I hope all of us are taking some profits right now. Anyway, got 3/3 with my bets today. Beginner's Luck I guess, but... yeah. Smiley

Minnesota Timberwolves - Philadelphia 76ers - Philadelphia 76ers @ 1.81 - WIN
- An easy win for the Sixers on the road. Embiid lead the way with 39 points in only 28 minutes of playing while Maxey also got 27 points. Harden didn't play, but it doesn't matter because they won. Edwards lead the Wolves with 32 points, but the other starters are almost non-existing at all in terms of stats. Gobert only had 6 points and 9 rebounds. I wish KAT will return ASAP or it might affect their standings in the very tight Western Conference

Oklahoma City Thunder - Golden State Warriors - Oklahoma City Thunder @2.50  - WIN
- I knew it. Cheesy I knew that the road game struggles of the Warriors will happen again that's why I put my bet on the Thunder. All 5 of the starters of the Thunder are in double figures and overall, 7 of them scored more than 10 points. SGA lead the way with 33 points while Giddey got his 7th career triple double with 17-11-17. Curry erupted for 40 points while Thompson and Kuminga scored 23 and 21 points. Green had an awesome stats on this game. 11 points, 1 rebound, 11 assists, and 1 steals. Lot's of 1's on the stat sheet for him. Cheesy

Los Angeles Lakers - Memphis Grizzlies - Los Angeles Lakers @ 1.77 - WIN
- The game is really close until the mid-4th quarter. The game really was close with lots of deadlocks and lead changes until AD and the Lakers made a surge and some runs in the late 4th quarter. AD lead the way with 30 points and 22 rebounds. JJJ on the other hand got into foul trouble thus, he was sitting out most of the 4th quarter, and that's the time where AD just took that opportunity, scored and dominated the paint. Bane only scored 7 points with 3/14 shooting while Dillon "Dynasty" Brooks scored 13 points. JJJ lead the Grizzlies with 26 points.

Aside from that, I went double down with the teams I bet on, and made a multi-bet on them as well aside from the single bet I put. Luckily, I won.

I hope everybody got profits today, and TBH, I might take a rest because every time I'm winning with all of my bets, the next ones will surely be a loss base on my experience. Cheesy
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wrong Bets !!! on: March 08, 2023, 06:18:58 AM
Have any of you encountered such wrong bets and won/lost Huh
In the past, yes many times already.
You know what's wrong? We aren't double checking of triple checking the amount of Bitcoins or whatever currency it is that we are putting in.

I learned that lesson already because in the past, I don't often double check the amount of Bitcoin that I'm putting. Not all of them are losses though because there are times where I put a wrong bet, and I got lucky and won, but most of the time when I'm experiencing that I'm losing. Right now, I'm not encountering that kind of problem anymore because I'm always triple checking all of my bets.

I hope you will learn from that mistake OP. Don't think too much about that as well. What's important is you learned something from it. Smiley
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you say about this investment plan on: March 08, 2023, 04:13:15 AM
Is it safe to invest in Defi projects that has it's own Stablecoin? There is one project I like but the thought of having a stablecoin makes me feel unsafe about the project, we all know how such projects always end up, the mess with Luna and it's stable coin still lives in me till date.
There is no safe investments when it comes to cryptocurrency. Not even investing into Bitcoin is considered safe.

So to answer your question, it's always a no to me because at first place, there are no safe investments in crypto. Remember Terra Luna? It has it's own stablecoin UST, but what happened to them? The project failed, became a fraud project and many lost their money. Though the project is still running like nothing happened in the past, the trust of their investors surely was affected heavily.

If you think that you have doubts on that project, you have 2 options. Either don't invest on that project at all or do a deep research into it. There is also a problem with Binance with their stablecoin BUSD. Not a DeFi though, but still it has it's own stablecoin.

Anyway, is there any DeFi projects here that has their own stablecoin? Because I don't know any project.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 08, 2023, 03:50:48 AM
I’m watching this game on TNT between the Timberwolves and the 76ers and Joell Embiid and Anthony Edwards are having themselves game already in the first quarter. They are both on a pace to score over 40 points so that could be something to keep an eye on. Close game too. Definitely off to a good start for game one of the doubleheader.
They can't stop Embiid.
He got 39 points in only under 28 minutes of playing. His efficiency is very high on this game.

I knew it that the Sixers will win since the start of the game. Looking on the Wolves, the only player that is doing the offense is Edwards, and nothing more with his teammates. After his score of 32 points, the next 2 ones are their bench players who got 13 and 11 points respectively. On the other hand, Sixers and Embiid got help from Maxey who has 27 points.

A one-sided match all the way. Sixers lead most of the game and didn't look back when they got a double-digit advantage. Congratulations to him and for me for betting with them. Cheesy

Tyagain mo na Cheesy. Sipag lang talaga ang puhunan pagdating sa mga MMORPG games. Bagay na wala ako  Grin Grin

Follow mo yung Youtuber na may name na Bugs03 TV. Napakasipag nun maglure sobra kaya kahit nasa level 120 na siya ngayon, nagawa niya pa ring maglevel up within 4-5 days.
Mabilis nga daw ako nagpa-100 pero after that bumagal na. Sadyang may tamaran moments lalo kapag tambak trabaho.
Habang tumataas ang level, mas humihirap magpalevel. Every 5 levels, nag aadjust yung EXP bar at mas dumadami ung need para mag level.
Ako naman hindi ako masipag mag-lure kaya mejo mabagal akong magpalevel sa 115-120. Every 10 days ako naglelevel purong AFK walang halong lure lure. Work over palevel tau diba boss @danherbias07 Cheesy.

1735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC would rise again? on: March 07, 2023, 03:01:27 PM
Why not?

I mean from the start of it's existence, Bitcoin has been going up ever since. Yes we've seen some downward movements of it ranging from around ~60% to sometimes around ~80%, but whenever it's finished, it's price will go up again and surpassing it's past ATH. This is a proof that Bitcoin will always go up and up in price in the long run. The road isn't smooth, but it will definitely go up again.

I wouldn't be in this forum and would not trust Bitcoin if it will not rise again.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need Suggestions About Investment in new projects on: March 07, 2023, 02:46:26 PM
I'm finding a way for the project to earn, so that the token will have value, but it seems like there isn't any.
Maybe the Code2Earn feature where you will outsource your codes to other clients. They might have a portion on the payment, but what if there isn't that clients? The token will have no value.

Monthly active users and the daily new users might seem attractive for those newbies since they might believe that there really are many who are using the project, but the truth is, anybody can just input any amount of users in their own website. I'm not saying that the project is a scam, but if it's me, I will not invest into this kind of project.

They are just alluring newbies to their Quiz2Earn feature where you can earn just by answering the question. There are some other ways there for the users to earn, but that isn't sustainable in the long run especially if the company doesn't have a way to earn from their project itself.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 07, 2023, 02:28:28 PM
Good thing about their conflict is they don't really settle in a physical violence, but they put up numbers and fill the stat sheet and outplaying each other. That's what the fans wants to see between an individual rivalry.
Phoenix and Mavs had a good game as well as the superstars for both teams. Looking forward for both of these teams in the playoffs. Hope they'll have to face each other in a 7 game series.
That's a friendly rivalry between them. No need to put physical violence or anything that will ruin their reputation. Just trash talks is enough. Even Luka said that it was nothing, but said words directly to Booker after that.

What Booker did on the final seconds of that game is kind of funny because if he really wanted to do that, he must've done it during or on the mid-game, and not when they are already winning. Well, the quote of Luka really is applicable to him. Everybody's acting though when they're up. Cheesy

Anyway, these kind of dramas are what the fans are loving for. They need to spice things up, and what's the way to do it? Rivalries. Like the Jordan-Thomas back in the 80's or the Lebron-Curry rivalry when they met in the NBA Finals 4 times. Fans love these kind of rivalries, and I would love to see these 2 teams match-up again in the playoffs.

Congratulations again for you, and to all winners today. Smiley
You probably put your bet when the Nuggets were down. That was a come-from-behind win for them. They are a smart team, which is why they won, and the Raptors were just frustrated in the dying minutes, which caused them to get distracted easily.
The second one where the odds are higher, yes I put my bet during the game and when they are down double digits. I'm lucky I guess, or I just knew that the Nuggets will protect their home, and continue the winning streak.

~
Did you see what Jokic did in that last play? He thinks so fast you could say he is really a genius. While they are up by 3, he fouled the worst free throw shooter of the Raptors, Poetl. The best part is he did it in a way that would not tick a transition foul, intentional, or away from the ball.
It's the fault of Coach Nurse that he didn't pulled out Poetl where in fact, he's a poor free throw shooter, or I guess Coach Nurse didn't thought of it already because of his frustration towards the calls of Scott Foster that is kind of a bias. With regards to Jokic fouling Poetl, as we expected for an 2x MVP. There was also a time during the halftime where him and Coach Malone are talking to each other regarding different plays to the team, and that's a good sign especially if that works for the whole team.

Anyway, here are my bets for tomorrow's ballgame:

Los Angeles Lakers - Memphis Grizzlies - Los Angeles Lakers @ 1.77
- It will be a battle of Anthony Davis and Jaren Jackson Jr. on the paint, and I think nobody in the Grizzlies can stop Davis. The bad thing though is that, Davis is on a day-to-day basis as of the moment, and if he doesn't play, the Grizzlies has a chance to steal this one on the road. Nevertheless, I already put my bet on the Lakers hoping that AD will play.

Minnesota Timberwolves - Philadelphia 76ers - Philadelphia 76ers @ 1.81
- With how the Sixers played and snapped the winning streak of the Bucks on the road, I believe that they can steal one again on the road against the Timberwolves. Currently, the Wolves are on a 3 game winning streak, and all of those games are played on the road, but on the other hand, their home record is a good one as well with 20-14. Still, I'll go with the Sixers on this one. It's just unfortunate that their 2 starters Harris and Tucker are on a day-to-day basis because of the injuries that they had against the Bucks.

Oklahoma City Thunder - Golden State Warriors - Oklahoma City Thunder @2.50
- The record of the Warriors are 7-24. 3rd worst record by a defending champion. The 2 other? '98-'99 Bulls and the '56-'57 Warriors. I'm a Warriors fan, but I would be happy still if I will lose my bet on this one. I just bet on the Thunder because of the awful record of the Warriors on the road.

Good Luck to all of us bettors. Smiley
1739  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: March 07, 2023, 01:19:21 PM
~
Having a higher education or simply graduated from studies will benefit you more compare to those who didn't, but on the other hand, it isn't guarantee that having a higher education or graduated from studies will make you an entrepreneur.

Overall, it will come to how knowledgeable you are in what you are doing. Statistically, 95% of the entrepreneurs have a bachelor's degree, and that's because they learned from their school, and just learned themselves after graduating. The other 5%? Probably these are the ones who had mentor when they are starting, and they learned from them, thus became a businessman.

Having a higher education have many benefits as well, but TBH, as long as you have a mentor or somebody that will help you all the way, you can learn what the school is teaching to the students when it comes to entrepreneurship, or in some cases, mentors might teach some things that aren't being taught in school, and vice-versa.

First of all, if you will make a thread or at least share your opinion, please, please don't just post a wall of texts and click the "Post" button. Use some double spaces at least so that the readers will find your post very neat thus, they will read it. Anyway, somebody here in the forum shared that to me years ago. Can't remember the username already, but thanks for sharing it to me. Smiley

~
If you have had such experience, how was it like?
Did it many times already, and TBH, I don't feel even a bit of regret into my decisions.

Last 2019, I bought a PC. What did I use at that time? Bitcoin. Yes I spend at around 0.09 BTC at that time to buy my very own personal computer. Just imagine 0.09 BTC now if I choose to hold it, and didn't bought a computer. Of course I don't have regrets on that decision of mine because like you, I urgently need it because I don't have anything to use aside from my phone, and I badly need one at that time.

Whenever I sell Bitcoin, it always doesn't against my plans because I'm thinking first for a way to buy it using cash, but when I don't really have any other option, I will simply use Bitcoin, convert it and buy. I mean that is the main purpose of Bitcoin right that's why it is called a currency.
