1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 29, 2023, 03:07:08 PM
Well, they have 2 options. Either stay in jail for 7 years or pay just 320$.

Well, I can't relate that much on this one because I myself isn't blaming anybody if I'm losing in gambling. I mean it's my own decisions to enter gambling so I will be the one who's to blame if I will lose my money. I guess the only scenario that we will blame gambling for our losses is that if some friend of yours tried to tell you to bet on a particular team, you bet on it and you lose. Maybe that's the time where you can blame your friend. Cheesy

How can two persons be so addicted to gambling that they'll go to such an extent? Apparently the mother is definitely not a good role model to the son. The son definitely needs a strong father figure which is what he lacks. I don't like the punishment or fine give  to them. It is not going to be in anyway effective. Their punishment could have been rehabilitation and community service.
It's gambling, and gambling isn't picky. Tongue

Nobody is safe from gambling addiction. Mother, father, son, daughter, cousins. All people can get addicted into gambling. As long as they tried it, and it come to a point where they want to spend more time with it then it's gambling addiction already. I guess the mother needs money, and she doesn't have any ways to earn money so she resorted to gambling. Either way, I agree with you that she didn't become a good model for his son, and it's quite unfortunate for the kid to be involved into gambling as such a young age.

I don't know if GSW played badly last night or if Kings really had a solid game because I did saw the first half live and the 2nd half on highlight and for me , it was GSW playing poorly with bad shots , bad defense and bad teamplay during the attacks. With series being tied 3-3 , I do see Kings moving further because after all this is their best season after a very long time of waiting and eliminating the champs from last year , would be even sweeter for their fans.
If there's one thing that I learned from this game, it's "The Ball is round". Even though you're that good in your home, when the whole team is having a bad night, you will lose automatically.

Warriors played badly. All 5 starters are in minus in the plus-minus rating (Looney -19, Wiggins -7, Curry -16, Thompson -22, Poole -7). On the other hand, the Kings duo of Fox and Monk again lead their team to the victory, and forcing a Game 7 on their home. If Monk is playing well, the Kings win, and vice-versa. I think that the Warriors need to do something to prevent him from scoring more than 20+ points in Game 7 or they will lose the series. Splash Brothers only shot 7/21 from the field, and that's a bad shooting night for them already, so you can see why they lose. Anyway, TBH it's hard to predict who will be the winner in this Game 7 because both teams are capable of winning on the road. Still, I will go for Warriors.

Lakers...oh man , what a show from them and Memphis stood absolute no chance and I'm happy to see Lakers doing good again.
All 5 starters of the Grizzlies are in the minus in the plus-minus rating as well. Their backcourt duo of Morant and Bane only scored 25 points while Russell on the other hand had his career high 31 points. I mean just imagine how the Lakers destroyed the dreams of the Grizzlies to win the title. They lost by 40 points. I wonder what Morant is thinking now after said that he's fine in the West, and how "Dynasty" Brooks is feeling right now that they're eliminated in the first round. Cheesy

Now the Lakers are waiting for the Winner of the Kings-Warriors. TBH, I would want to see the Warriors facing them. Just imagine 2 legends facing each other in the 2nd round. It's a rematch of Lebron and Curry who are faced each other for 4 consecutive wins in the NBA Finals back a few years ago.

~
Lastly, I would like to say that Memphis DYNASTY IS OVER!
What are you saying "Dynasty Over" Cheesy. They didn't even create a dynasty in the first place.
They're just pure talk, but can't back it up with their performance. They're a team whose full of arrogant players. DYNASTY? They can't even make into the NBA Finals. Cheesy What a funny team they are TBH.

1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 28, 2023, 02:41:56 PM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.
Why are you arguing with regards to this one at first place?
I mean they are gamblers, so obviously they see investing as gambling as well because what they are thinking right now is whenever you put your money into somebody, and you have the chance to lose your money, it is gambling. They think of everything as gambling.

Investing can be, and cannot be gambling depending on your approach. Investing into something that you know, and you've made research into it can't be called gambling IMO. On the other hand, investing into something that you don't fully understand is comparable to gambling already.

Furthermore, I told them that Bitcoin investors tend to get positive results, while online casino gamblers tend to get negative results more than positive result, true or false?
It depends.
Both Bitcoin investors and gamblers can get more negative results than positive ones. If you're a Bitcoin investor, you can make more mistakes than corrects when you invested without proper knowledge. On the other hand, in gambling, if you aren't lucky, you will not win thus you will make more losses than wins.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 28, 2023, 02:08:09 PM
The Atlanta Hawks had a chance in the fourth quarter, but unlucky for them, the Boston Celtics had their lucky clover. Props to Trae Young with 30 points, 10 assists, and 3 rebounds, but it's not enough to keep them in the series. Congratulations to the Boston Celtics for advancing to the Eastern Conference semi finals, they will face the Philadelphia 76ers. Who you got?
What's funny about the Hawks on that game is that, there is a time in the final minutes of the game where Young is inbounding the ball. He can't somebody to pass the ball with so what he's doing is that he just throw it on Smart's foot (he is defending him), and put it out of bounds. I think he did it thrice in a short amount of time. In the end, their possession ended up as a turnover. Kind of funny, but good strategy by Young to reset the 5 second count, and not waste a time out.

Hawks are now eliminated. Now the Philly and the Celtics will battle in the second round. TBH, I'm rooting on the Sixers to win on this one. I mean who in the Celtics can stop Embiid? Add also Harden's passing ability, Maxey's ability to shoot, and their other role players. Injuries aside, I will go with the Sixers with this one, but if Embiid will be injured during the series (I hope it will not happen), I'll go with the Celtics in 7 games.

Stephen Curry is trying his best to have his team in the quarter finals. They have had big issues against Sacramento so far. But I must admit that Sacramento were pretty impressive in the regular season. It is lovely to watch them putting up a solid fight against Warriors in this round. However it looks like Warriors have captured a nice advantage now.

Because they are 3-2 ahead and the next game is in their own court. I don't doubt Sacramento that they will do their best in this game here as well. But Curry and his friends can finish the job by concentrating fully on it before their fans by 4-2.
I will only say this to the Kings-Warriors series.

Only one road win is needed for them to win in this series, and now that they've got it, for sure that the Warriors will finish this series in Chase Center. Also the Warriors  have 28 straight series with a road win. That currently is the longest streak in NBA history.

1327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: IS IT SAFE TO INVEST PENSION FUNDS IN BITCOIN? on: April 28, 2023, 02:25:01 AM

I spoke to a friend about Bitcoin and he asked if it is safe to invest Pension funds in Bitcoin considering the fact that this is a retirement saving. I am skeptical of investing people's funds in this coin because it can't be predicted also we cannot overlook the fact that Bitcoin may enhance investment returns at retirement.
~
The bolded text is enough to answer your question already.

You worked for years to earn that fund of yours, and then you will just invest it into an asset that's unpredictable? That's volatile? Yes it can give you some profits, but will the pensioner be ready to fact the losses that he might get if he chooses to take the risk and invest all of his pension funds into Bitcoin.

If the pension knows what Bitcoin is then I guess he can invest "A LITTLE PORTION" of his funds into it. I'm not saying all of it, half of it or most of it, but a portion of it only. That's a safer approach when it comes to investing into cryptocurrency. Right now, no one's a safe investment, and even bonds aren't safe as well.

Since he's your friend, maybe I suggest to guide him, and teach him what Bitcoin is if he's eager enough to learn it. If he's interested, guide him then let him decide whether he wants to invest into it or not. Just make sure that don't lure him into some typical shitty scam investments out there. Smiley
1328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: April 28, 2023, 01:59:49 AM
~
Now over to you reader, which aspect of bitcoin is best or worst experience? Where are you good at! Trading or investment? Bursts our brain with your expertise
Best experience? Investing alone. Worst experience? Trading.

Of course it all depends on the investor. Investors who are solely investing can incur losses still when they entered at a wrong time, and on the other hand, traders can still lose money if they don't know what they are doing. On the flip side, investors can make investing their best experience when they got profit, and at the same time, traders can not say that trading is their worst experience especially when they are gaining profit from it.

Where am I good at? I can say both, but I'm not the expert when it comes to trading. I mean I made money thru trading already (though it wasn't enough for me to make it as an additional income source for some reasons), and as for investing, I've also made some as well, so I guess I can say that I'm good at both of them, but not the best on both.

Investing and trading have pros and cons, and I guess many here already stated the goods and the bads on both sides, so it's up to the investor already to decide whether they will stick into investing where there are little to no stress at all, or trading where you might get stressed especially when you are losing. Cheesy
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 27, 2023, 09:18:10 PM
This will be a great series. The Heat might still be the underdog, but only slightly. I'm rooting for them to win because they beat the number one team, so there's no reason they can't beat the NYK.

I'm waiting for the betting odds to come out. My initial guess is that they will be very attractive for the Heat. Hopefully, that will come true.
I will not pick the Heat because they beat the top seeded Bucks, I will pick the Heat because I don't think that anybody from the Knicks team has the capabilities to defend Butler. The only way that the Knicks will win on this one I think is when Butler will get injured (hope will not happen), or if he will be having a bad night most of the time.

Like you, I'm also waiting for the odds, but with how they played against the Bucks, I will not be surprised if they will be favored especially when they're on their home.

Warriors finally winning a road game, which means that if they win at home (and I think they will) it means that we are going to see the series end. It was obvious from the start that Warriors was just a bit better, Kings are not terrible but they lacked experience in those clutch situations at playoffs, and it is known that playoffs is a bit harder and fouls called less frequently so Kings weren't ready, they were still good though, and even today they still have a chance to win as well, so it is not totally over but I will give this one to Warriors.
Like I said, and many said this already, experience is a big factor when it comes to playoffs.

They might be the 3rd seed, but they faced 29 teams to get that standing. Now we are in the playoffs, and all teams' standings are back to 0-0. The Kings might be the 3rd seed this season, but they don't have the experience in the playoffs (aside from Barnes who won a title with the Warriors). That has been the key as to why they won in the road even though they are awful in the eliminations.

Also, the winners of Game 5 wins 82% of the time (with a record of 186-41), and add the fact that the Warriors are very impressive on their home, maybe let's call this series over already?
1330  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: April 27, 2023, 09:00:39 PM
The Ponzi scheme Investor
One who invests in ponzi scams continuously is this. This is the person who thinks about get-rich-quick schemes.
I'm thinking. Is there any investor out there who has the mindset like this?

I mean doing it once or twice is still ok, but to having a thinking of "investing into get rich-quick schemes" consistently? Well, maybe these are the risk takers. They are the ones who has lots of money to invest into different ponzi scams out there to the point that there are already many signs that it's a ponzi, and yet they choose to invest into it "hoping" that they can get money still thru it.

The researcher investor
The researcher investor wants to conduct thorough investigation before deciding whether to invest. They might even decide against investing altogether since, if you wait to make a decision until you know everything, you might never invest.

The Wealthy Trader
This one has had a number of profitable investments over the years. They are knowledgeable, experienced, show expertise.

What class of an investor are you?
Maybe I'll just put myself into these 2 types since it's the closest to what I am right now.

Researcher investor. In my years of investing, it didn't came to a point where I decided not to invest into something I didn't spend my time with. Since I'm more of a semi-conservative investor, and not very aggressive, TBH I'm not spending too much time to do some research compare to some others out here because the projects that I'm investing my money with have been there for many years already and somewhat "established".

Wealthy trader. The first word alone isn't applicable to me TBH. I've made some profitable investments already like my Cardano holdings for example where even though we entered in a bear market last year, I'm still in profit because I bought ADA lower than it's lowest price in 2022. I'm not knowledgeable as well, but I might have some experience already since I've been investing for years already. Expertise? Nahhh I don't have that as well. Cheesy
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is important? Knowledge or Experience? Or both in Bitcoin Learning! on: April 27, 2023, 08:36:09 AM
You will gain knowledge thru experiencing. You will not learn if you didn't tried.

Look at those businessmen out there. They became successful because they learned (knowledge), and they applied it when they are starting their business (experience). Yes they've experienced failures, but they managed to come back, and look where they are now. They learned, and applied that learnings so that they will become successful.

In order for you to learn Bitcoin, you need to study, research, and learn, but at the same time, you need to apply it as well.

Now you want to learn the best. To whom do you go first? One with knowledge or one with experience?
The one with experience. That's a no brainer for me.

The one with lots of experience will be the one who will share many things as for the one who has knowledge only, but isn't using it for his/her own good. Whether it is Bitcoin, or anything, a person with experience always wins. A person with lots of experience have lots of knowledge as well that's for sure, but a person with only knowledge, but no experience at all, is just useless (for me).
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 27, 2023, 06:32:51 AM
Miami Heat defeated the number 1 seed Milwaukee Bucks and knocked them out in the playoffs. Jimmy Buckets, wow! This is all the Bucks fault, they are actually winning in the regulation but they got careless. All they had to do was use the time but they let the Heat have an opportunity to put it at overtime.
Byebye Bucks.
One of the biggest upsets in NBA playoff history. The Bucks are the 6th top seeded team to got eliminated by the 8th seed.
On the other hand, the Heat made history as they're the first play-in team to win a playoff series.

I hope that Butler will gain more respect after winning against the Bucks. I mean after scoring 56 points in Game 3, he got 42 on this one. Jimmy "Buckets" in playoff mode. As for both teams, we've seen them matched up in the playoffs twice so you know that both have history already. This is the trilogy, and the Heat won. They know how to stop Giannis, and for sure the injury hinders him to perform even better.

I just don't know why in the hell the Bucks didn't call a time out in the 4th quarter when Butler scored. Also the final possession in the overtime is a very sloppy possession. Didn't make a shot on the buzzer? You're a top seeded team, and you performed like that? I will not be surprised if the Bucks will make some big moves this off-season. The team with the lowest odds are now eliminated.

How about the New York Knicks?! Defeating the Cavaliers and knocking them out too. I thought they are going to play harder, but I didn't really see that.
The Knicks play harder, that's a fact. But a problem came, Julius Randle, according to sources it's just a sprained ankle, I hope he is okay. Brunson though held the fort and they still won it.
Another upset.
Just for context, Jalen Brunson sent home Donovan Mitchell for the second straight time in the first round. First was when he's still in Mavericks, and they defeated the Jazz, and now is the second time. Let's give credits to them because they know how to stop Mitchell and Garland on offense.

Also give credits to Mitchell Robinson as well. Nobody's giving him attention, but he's one of the best offensive rebounders out there (maybe second to Looney). In this game alone, he got 18 rebounds and on those 18, 11 are offensive. Take note that Allen and Mobley combined for 13 rebounds ONLY. He's a monster inside, and they also have a good supporting big in Hartenstein.

Golden State Warriors! What a wild game! Draymond Green with 21 points, his last 20-point game was on December 25, 2019, against the Rockets.
He sure contributed a lot today and gave energy to the team. Steph Curry put the dagger to send it back to San Francisco with a lead on the series.
3-2.
Now the Warriors are one win away from sending the Kings home.
I'm just laughing while watching the final minutes of the game. I mean the Golden1 Center has been known for one of the loudest arenas this playoffs, but after Curry got that shot with a foul to seal the game, the arena went from one of the loudest to like a Ghost Town. They're very silent, and I'm here shouting while watching my favorite teams to win winning on the road.

The Kings' fans might've watched their final home playoff game this season. On the other hand, I will not disregarding the Kings still because they almost beat the Warriors in Game 4. They're only one shot away from stealing one on the road. It would've been a different situation if the Kings are up 3-1. Overall, I'm happy that the Warriors managed to steal one game on the road even though they're one of the worst team in terms of road wins.

Knicks vs Heat on the 2nd round.
Credits to Brunson, and Randle for leading their team in defeating the Cavaliers, but with how Butler played in the first round, for sure the morale for the Heat team is at it's highest, and the momentum for sure will be carried coming into the 2nd round. I'll go with the Heat with this one, and I will not be surprised if the Knicks will get beaten in 5 games as well, because I believe in Playoff Butler. Cheesy
1333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: April 27, 2023, 03:33:08 AM
I’ve lately been trying alot of different ways to start making money but something in me tells me trading could be really fun and exciting to get into. Unfortunately I can’t afford to invest much right now so I’ve managed to invest around 20$ to get started. I’d really appreciate if you all could let me know if what i am doing is worth it or am I just wasting time?
If you will not solely relying on trading as your only income source, $20 is a good amount to start when you're a newbie.

I'll just share my experience months ago when I started trading. I started half of the total amount that you said. Yes I started with only 10$ in trading, but I was in futures, and I wanted to trade at that time because I want to spend my time to do something that can give me money thus, I started trading. I just watched videos online, tweaked the strategy, and applied it. I might be lucky I guess, but I managed to make that 10$ initial capital to 90$, but I traded thru futures, and not from spot trading.

I'm not recommending futures trading especially when you're a newbie, but learning it takes time, and money as well. If you're a newbie, I suggest while learning, start trading thru spot first then after some time that you got the basics already, maybe try trading into futures, but with a small amount only. To answer your question, in my perspective it is worth it and you aren't wasting your time. You will not get experience if you will not experience it. If you really want to pursue trading, do everything that's needed, and that's include losing money in order for you to learn more. Experiencing losses will make you adjust to the point where you will not do that same mistakes anymore in the future.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Addiction. on: April 26, 2023, 03:03:26 PM
Do you consider that kind of addiction dangerous and not good?
While reading your post, I'm kind of thinking "getting addicted into investing is good because it's like you are preparing for the future if you're investing" right? On the other hand, I'm also thinking that "Is there any addiction that is beneficial to a person?"

Getting addicted into investing is good as long as you aren't affecting somebody's life. Getting addicted into investing will only be good if you aren't a newbie, and you know which assets are good to invest and which are the ones you need to avoid. Investing addiction will only be good if you aren't affected either physically or mentally. Getting addicted into investing will only be good if you aren't preventing yourself from buying things that you need on a daily basis thus, it isn't good for you. Overall, getting addicted into investing has some things that you need to consider in order for it to be beneficial for the investor.

I guess this is the only type of addiction that has benefits to a person? Or not? Cheesy TBH, it's the first time that I've ever heard about this term. Cheesy
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do with bitcoin? on: April 26, 2023, 07:32:42 AM
Today I was thinking about Bitcoin and where it will finally go up. And I came to the conclusion that I don't really understand what is the right thing to do with Bitcoin after it will "go to the moon".
There are only 2 options.
1. You either choose to HODL it even though the bull run already started because your target selling price didn't reach during that run at all.
2. You will sell your coins during the bull run, and wait for the market to go down again so that you can buy more Bitcoins in a bear market. I mean that would be better than the first one for me.

So I wanted to ask you all, what are you planing to do with bitcoin when it will go to 70k, 80k etc. Are you planing to sell it or you will keep holding it?
If you will sell it, at what price are you planning to do it?
I will sell when the bull run comes.

I don't know where I read this quote, but it says "Don't fell in love with your assets". What does that quote mean? Don't fell in love with your assets that you are willing to hold it forever. Know when to sell if needed especially if the bull run comes. Don't miss the opportunity to take some profits during the bull run. During, and after the bull run, you have 2 opportunities. Opportunity to sell your holdings and take some profits, and opportunity to buy again after the bull run since after bull run, bear market comes.

Speaking of opportunities, I will just share probably my biggest mistake here. Bull run in 2021, I'm looking at how the market went up during that time, and instead of selling most of my holdings at that time, I choose to hold it still until 2022 comes, and all of my unrealized profits are gone. Cut the story short, I learned after that time that I should sell my token holdings when the bull market comes, and I will do it when the next bull market happens. I hope that some here will do the same as well.

Target price of $70,000? $80,000? That might've been so conservative if you will ask me. I believe that in the next bull market, Bitcoin will reach the $100,000 price per Bitcoin for the first time in over a decade of it's existence.

source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z60SgJmUoic&ab_channel=BleacherReport

the scariest part is that he spoke very calmly as if he really didn't care about le bron, I even thought he had been knocked over the head before the interview. lebron is much older than him and he should respect a player the size of lebron who is a living legend, who has a great solid career, while he is still very young compared to lebron, it was sad to see that a journalist laughed at these words from Dillon Brooks because he found it funny, anyway I didn't find this interview funny at all
The journalist find it funny maybe, but Lebron took that interview seriously, and I guess it's obvious in their previous 2 games that he really took it personally. Well, "Dynasty" Brooks after that lose in Game 4 didn't want to have an interview. What a player. I wonder how his actions in the past days will haunt him if they will lose against the Lakers.

As for the Lakers, a team who is struggling to at least enter the play-in tournament in the start to mid of the season, to ending up getting the 7th seed going to the playoffs to now a win away from going into the 2nd round. It's just an amazing roller coaster season for them.

What a game that was between Hawks and the Celtics. I didn't expect them to recover to be honest. It looks like Live by the "Trae" and die by the "Trae" was their mantra for game 5 hehe. He's the only one shooting in the last three minutes if I'm not mistaken.

Wolves vs. Nuggets is also close.
2 games, both have been decided thru a three point shot. One team shot the three, and forced a Game 6 while the other team missed the three, and now they are eliminated. It's good to see 2 games within the same day that the result has been decided by a three point. It's just unlucky that the Timberwolves didn't force a Game 6 because of that missed shot by Edwards, and you can see the frustration on him as he ran into the locker room.

Playoff Booker! Damn! He dominated the 3rd quarter to lift the team and put a big lead on the scoreboard. But, kudos to the Clippers team too, Westbrook, Powell, Batum, Mann, and Plumlee. These guys even undermanned put the game in as close as 2 point deficit. That was amazing and I bet the Suns were rattled a bit before they can win the game. Booker was even forced to just put the ball in the paint and expect a foul to be called just to stop the bleeding.
The Suns' fans were also astounded by what happened and they just stood there waiting for their team to come back to life.
If there was something good that happened to the Clippers in this year's playoffs, it's Westbrook starting to regain his old self. I mean he isn't, and will not be the same Westbrook again many years ago, but it's pretty obvious that he played very well on this playoffs, except on Game 1, and this Game 5. He's a garbage on that games, but on Games 2-4, he's just amazing.

Good game for the Clippers as they are now eliminated from the playoffs. I will follow what they will do after this season's run, and what they will do with Kawhi and PG13 knowing that they are both out during the playoffs because of injuries (Kawhi played only 2 games). Booker on the other hand was just unstoppable.

The problem that I see with the Suns is depth. KD played 44 minutes, Booker played 41 minutes. They will be facing the Nuggets in the second round. How will the Suns adjust when both of these superstars are playing an average of 40 mins. The depth of the Nuggets are deep as well as they have role players who are effective in some ways. For the Suns, they are lacking of role players. KD and Booker can't afford to play an average of 40 mins every game. The role players needs to step up.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Dormant Address have been woke up, Are you worry? on: April 26, 2023, 03:26:07 AM
Worried? I'm not even worried when Bitcoin went down from $69,000 to $17,000 in just a matter of months. Why should I get worried about it?

I spent minutes thinking of possible reasons why should I be worry about dormant accounts transferring their Bitcoins to other address, but can't think of any. I mean that's their advantage of trusting, investing, and holding Bitcoin for a very long time. Just imagine how many years of patiently waiting for the perfect time for them to sell it (if they are selling).

On the other side, there's no news if these dormant accounts that has been woken up really sold the Bitcoins that they're holding. Maybe they're just transferring it from one wallet to another, or maybe they just put it into an exchange in preparation for them selling it if the right time comes. Let them sell their Bitcoins. I guess 7000 BTC getting sold will not make that much difference in terms of the price of Bitcoin right?
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run according to Simpsons! on: April 26, 2023, 02:20:57 AM
What do you think? Will the next Bitcoin happen in 2025? I feel it won't happen in 2025. If history repeats itself then it would be in 2026. It is a possibility that it can happens in 2024.
It wasn't prediction at all... or I mean it wasn't like just their other predictions where there wasn't an obvious basis on it. With this one, they just based it on the history on the price of Bitcoin.

When was the last time Bitcoin entered the bull run? 2021 right. Before that what was the last time it entered the bull run? 2017. It's a 4 year cycle, and if you believe in cycles especially when it comes to Bitcoin, you will automatically think that the next bull run will happen in 2025. You said it will happen in 2026? If history will repeats itself, 2026 will be the year where all of the coins will go down thus, it's the year of the bear market.

Now to your last question where can it happen in 2024? Since I'm a believe of market cycles especially the 4-year cycle, I don't think that it will happen this year, but with how unpredictable the crypto is especially Bitcoin, there is still a slim chance that it might happen this, but if that will happen, it will break the 4-year cycle.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 26, 2023, 01:02:53 AM
If Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies and then Bucks losing to the Heat, this could be one season wherein the number 1 in the East and number 2 in the West will be knockout in the first round (I could be wrong though). Specially the Bucks, no one thought that the Miami Heat will give them problems. But when Giannis got injured, it was a different series all along as the Heat took control of series from the beginning.
For the Bucks-Heat, they faced each other 3 times already in the last 3-4 season I guess (back in the bubble). Point is both teams know each others' strengths, and weaknesses, and there hasn't been that much change when it comes to their roster, so I think that the Heat just knows how to stop the Bucks even though they have Giannis.

Bucks can't stop Butler, not even Holiday which is their best defender in the team. Like I said, that would be very disappointing not for them, but for their fans as well if the Bucks will get defeated by the 8th seeded Heat.

This could end up being an incredibly boring night.  I predict one of these teams comes out and straight wins on the road as dogs.  I'm hoping at least.  Otherwise going to be some lean nights with no games.  I'd like to see one of these series go longer than 5 games.  Been some good games but terrible series.  All blowout series.
Nope.
All 3 home teams will win tonight against their opposing teams. Celtics might close this one out, and so as the Nuggets and the Phoenix. I guess I'll congratulate them as early as now. My prediction is no road team will win tonight.

P.S. I'll take what I said about this because the Hawks manage to won against the Celtics in the road thru the three of Trae Young. Just amazing and what a display of confidence coming from him. They are down only by 1, but he just shot a three-point to survive.

Looking like the Boston Celtics are going to be sending the Atlanta Hawks fishing tonight. They’re up by more than 10 in the third now and Atlanta seems to be accepting their fate. First game of elimination night looks like we may have our first elimination. Next up will be the Nuggets trying to put away the Timberwolves for the season.
The Hawks are 0-20 when they are down 0-2 in a best of 7 series in franchise history. I think that alone is enough way to say that the Hawks already lost this series when they went 0-2 against the Celtics. Add also the fact that they have a new coach in Quinn Snyder. I can't remember where, but I heard that the Hawks doesn't have high expectation when it comes to this playoffs because they have a new coach. They will prioritizing the chemistry of the coach, and the players so that they will play better next season.

On the other hand, I will not be surprised though if they will trade some of their key players like Collins, and even Young TBH.
