1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I found my financial success in Bitcoin 1 year on: April 21, 2023, 02:38:33 PM
It's nearly a year since I became a member of the Bitcoin talk forum and I am 100% successful in my bitcoin journey already, you all know how I started unless for few newbies members who may not be around then, I have been passive with my bitcoin accumulation and I give zero attention to shit coins even though other may have different opinions about altcoins but as for me for the past one year, I have been bullish in my Bitcoin approach and for the first time my asset have gain amazed profits.
~
I am buying more bitcoin
Now even though I am at profit and have gained financial knowledge through the help of the bitcointalk forum, I will still buy more bitcoin even at the current price because of my personal belief in bitcoin's ability to cash up with the current market situation to always place me at less risk.
You're a Bitcoin Maximalist then. Tongue Kidding

I guess there's no more better advice that anybody can give here with regards to which coin you should invest your money aside from focusing onto Bitcoin. The fact that you've timed the market perfectly by accumulating during the bear market is the best way to approach it. There are some investors who are waiting, and waiting, and waiting, until the price of Bitcoin went up already and they ended up not investing at all. As for you, you took the risk, you've shown your trust into Bitcoin, and invested during the bear market like many of us did. Smiley

Like you, I'm also investing into Bitcoin as well. More than half of my total crypto portfolio is already in Bitcoin, and I will still continue to buy, and wait until the bull market comes. If I may ask, is there a chance that you would've invest into some altcoin, and if yes, what altcoin?

I've seen this yesterday, and at the time that I want to sleep until the time I woke up, I'm still thinking.. why did my name included in the list of all the experts here? I mean these names are very popular, and has shared lots of knowledges here. I just don't know why my name is there. Tongue Kidding aside, maybe you've mistakenly put my name out of those experts out there, but it's very flattering that my name is included.  Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway, maybe there are some of my posts that helped you in anyway possible, and I'm more than happy to know that even though I'm just an average user here.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 21, 2023, 01:38:48 PM
Philly won with a strong game. Harden was unfairly kicked out and didn't play in the last quarter, but Maxey still filled that gap by playing well. Embiid should have been kicked out in my opinion. The referees keep making weird decisions. I think this series was over when it was 2-0, now it's 3-0 and the Nets have no chance. I said they played with weak opponents after the 2nd game, there were those who said that the Nets were too strong here, but we saw who was right.
I didn't watch most of the game because I'm still asleep when it started, but I manage to watch the final minutes of the game.

O'neal's bad decision on that final inbound caused them their season. Why did I say that? It's because we know that no team has come, and win after being down 0-3, so right now, they have 0% chance of winning against the Sixers unless they will do the impossible. You can see the disappointment on O'neal's face after that turnover in the final seconds of the game. Well, at the start of the series, we knew already that the Sixers will win on this one, but I will not be surprised if the Nets will get swept "again" like what happened to them last season.

As for the Sixers, Maxey has already been the 3rd option of the team in terms of scoring, and it's always been like that for the whole season. Sometimes he goes out there, and lead the team in scoring, sometimes he's not, but it's ok since he's helping the team in both offense and defense. As for Embiid, it's good that he didn't get fouled out the whole game.

That Suns and Clippers game was closer than it should have been considering both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were out with injuries. Booker has his best night since the Durant trade putting up 45.
They have Normal Powell who stepped up, and scored 41 points (it's his career-high? Didn't watch it as well).
Westbrook, and Powell stepped up, and tried to carry the team, but I agree with you that it ended up way closer than expected knowing that the Clippers don't have their 2 all-star player while for the Suns, they have all 4 of them.

As for Kawhi Leonard, he already has been a history of knee injuries, and there is a season when he doesn't play back-to-back games, so him being out in this Game 3 is kind of saddening for Clippers fan, but he already had a knee injury back in Game 1, and he just played with it in Game 2, and that affected his performance as well on that game. Hope he will return in Game 4.

I also saw that the Warriors managed to get a win over the Kings. That is going to be a battle of a series.
From being the 3rd worst defensive team in the road to 3rd best defensive team on their home. That's how the Warriors played the whole 82 games of the regular season.

Who would've imagine that a team who is the top offensive team in the regular season will score less than 100 points? Who would've thought that a team who is averaging close to 120 PPG during the regular season only scored 97 points in this one? It just shows how good the Warriors are defensively, and take note that they don't have Green in this win as well. Just imagine if Draymond Green played on that Game 3.

The Warriors lead as high as 23 points, and the Kings never lead the entire game. Let's give credits to Looney as well for his effort in getting offensive rebounds. He played like Dennis Rodman on this game scoring only 4 points, but has 20 rebounds, and in that 20 rebounds, 9 are offensive, and whenever he is getting that offensive rebound, he always pass it to a shooter and scoring it that's why he also got 9 assists. For me, he's the best player on this game. Well, Curry deserve it as well, but I would give it to Looney for his effort.
1363  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay your debt with monkeys! on: April 20, 2023, 02:17:31 PM
As an animal lover, I feel sorry about the monkeys because they've been used to pay the debt of the country.
The corrupted government of Sri Lanka sucks. I'm sorry, but I'm greatly affected emotionally because of this. I guess I attached myself too much to the animals.

What will China do with the monkeys? Experiments is I think the main reason. I mean they have many laboratories in the country, and they will use every single monkey (probably) just to conduct their experiments. This is where I feel disgusted not only to Sri Lanka, but to China as well.

Some might see it funny because it might be the first time that a country will be using monkeys to pay their debts, but just imagine what will they do to these innocent animals. I wonder what will Sri Lanka will use next to pay their debts. I find this very disgusting, but I guess that's how cruel the world is.  Cry

And you, have you also given up? Or are you persevering with unstoppable tricks?
I've been in the crypto for 5 years, but it's the first time that I've heard that term "Orange Pill" being used.
That's the proof that I really need to do some more research, and gain more knowledge. Cheesy

Invest for them? Nahhh don't do it. I would never do that thing as well if I'm in your shoes. You will invest for them, and then if you gain profit? You will give some to them. Funny how these lazy people are thinking right? They are doing things the easy way, and they will use somebody for their own sake.

Just forget about those people who aren't interested in Bitcoin. I don't want to convince them myself as well. I will only answer them once they asked me something that is related to Bitcoin, but to convince them to buy Bitcoin? I will not do it because of two things. One is, I want them to learn what Bitcoin is, then let them decide whether they will invest or not. Two is, I don't want to be blamed once they lose money because they invested into Bitcoin.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: April 20, 2023, 01:40:01 PM
If only I have the mindset of being a businessman, or skills of a businessman then I'll do the same. I'll integrate cryptocurrency in my business, but the difference is that, I will not only accept Bitcoin, but some other altcoins as well such as Ethereum, Dogecoin, BNB and others who I know is a good long term coin (except for DOGE).

I will not congratulate you because many users here already did, and I guess that's enough, and nothing will change if I will not congratulate you right. Tongue
~do you know that some youths who knows about bitcoin is interested to make payment with bitcoin and people who doesn't what's bitcoin began to ask of the meaning of bitcoin, and answers has been given to them base on my understanding in bitcoin.
It's good that you are educating people with regards to Bitcoin.
I will just give an advice that maybe give some handouts or some small modules that you created to some people out there who are interested in learning it. Anything that can help them learn more about it will be a good thing.
So many of my customers and youths mostly is interested to make payment with bitcoin, I want to know bitcoin wallet that will be nice for receiving payment with bitcoin that will be safe for this business payment.
You said gas station right?
I don't know if Electrum has a wallet TBH since I'm not using any Bitcoin mobile wallet than Samourai. For sure, nobody will get their laptop, and will use it if they really wanted to pay using Bitcoin so I'm pretty sure that whenever they wanted to pay using Bitcoin, they will use a mobile wallet application to do it.

I'd suggest to accept different altcoins, because there are some altcoins that has a lower transaction fee than Bitcoin.
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 20, 2023, 07:29:33 AM
So should I go ahead and advise him to buy Bitcoin or I should leave him to come to me himself? Because he will buy it if I ask him to.
In another thread that I saw, and shared my opinion, he bought Bitcoin, and I think it's a good thing that he started with Bitcoin instead of other coins or some shitcoins out there.

In this one, he started investing into some shitcoins out there which you said is worthless now. Now to answer your question, I guess it would be better if you will help him out, let him buy Bitcoin instead of some shitcoins out there. TBH, I'm not encouraging people to buy Bitcoin unless they aren't ready with the risk that they might face when investing into it, but in this case, I guess your friend knows it already. I suggest that you should guide him, and let him buy Bitcoin... or not. I mean letting a person invest into something that they don't know personally always lead to trouble. At least teach him first I guess then if you feel that he knows the basics already, then let him buy Bitcoin all by himself. Don't recommend anything aside from Bitcoin.

Many are saying here that you should not let your friend buy Bitcoin etc. For me, there's nothing wrong with it as long as your friend is knowledgeable enough to know the things that should be learn. Educate him first, let him do some research, guide him if needed, and after that, let him decide whether he wants to invest still into Bitcoin or not.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down. on: April 20, 2023, 06:44:34 AM
With so many threads that you've created, and the way you shared your opinions on them, I think that you're a troll who just want an attention.
I mean there are 2 things that you are doing here. It's either you address us with "crypto bros", and create a thread, or you will just randomly posting an application post in different signature campaigns (even with 1xbit who is a known scam website).

Hello everyone.
As you can see, bitcoin is going down and I believe that it will keep falling.
As I explained in my last posts, this Bitcoin rise wasn't sustainable. There are literally no reasons for Bitcoin to go up now.
And when Bitcoin goes up again, you will create another thread again telling to us that, Bitcoin is going up again then blah blah blah. Right?
Well, to answer what you're saying, $30,000 is acting as a psychological resistance right now, so it's normal to see sellers at that price thus, putting the price of Bitcoin to go down.

So I want to remain you guys again that right now is not the time to buy bitcoin.
Inflation is still high, interest rates are still getting higher, FED is not planning to stop any time soon, and the economy is suffering. All these reasons won't let Bitcoin rise from the ashes YET. But I believe we will see the end of it this year, probably in Q4.
Ahhhh... here we are again with some of your "FRIENDLY ADVICE". 10 for effort I guess. Smiley
You're just speculating like what the other people are saying, so why do we need to take your advice on us?

So I recommend holding on to your cash/stablecoins right now and waiting for the signals to buy Bitcoin.
I guess if there's anything that I would want to take with what you said, it's this one. Not stablecoins though, but cash. Just to have some money if I need to invest.
Currently, I'm waiting for some signals before I buy Bitcoin. A little bit of TA is good enough already because after all, I'm doing DCA, and don't care about the price that much.

Have a nice day and take care.
Have a nice day and take care as well.
Wait I have an advice for you. I hope that 1xbit will accept you in their scam campaign, so DT members here will give negative trust to you. Smiley
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 20, 2023, 06:16:00 AM
I took the 1.89 ML Lakers yesterday, now it's rolling at 1.84 only. I guess a lot of gamblers do agree that the Lakers will snatch another on at Memphis home. This will be bad for the Grizzlies if ever it happens.

Unfortunately, Morant is inactive in tonight's game against the Lakers. However, it looks like the Grizzlies aren't worried about that and aren't going to give up, as they lead by 15 points after the end of the first half. So if the Grizzlies continue at this pace, there's a chance they can beat the Lakers tonight. By the way, the Lakers are performing pretty poorly, especially Davis, who has only made 1 of 9 field goal attempts in the first half.
Yeah, Xavier Tillman made a big contribution to the team. He was 5/5 in the first half until he shot the buzzer-beater that made him miss one. Then, he continued his offensive aggressiveness in the 2nd half and he ended up with 22 points and 13 rebounds. I like it when players are stepping up their game whenever their stars are out. This is the playoffs, you cannot just cry in the corner but you have to adjust to the situation. Very good game for the 24 year old player who physically looks like a veteran.  Cheesy
TBH, many people aren't looking on how deep the bench of the Grizzlies are. Many are focusing on Morant alone because of how good he is, but let's give credits to their bench as well for stepping up on this game without him. Aldama, Tillman, Konchar, Jones, Kennard. The whole team is just amazing on this Game 2, and it's a must win for them or else, they have a high chance of getting swept because they will be playing 2 games on the road after this game. Credits to Tillman for stepping up defensively, and offensively. I just hope that Morant will come back in Game 3.

81 first-half points for the Milwaukee Bucks. They are hot! Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday are both dominating the game. I am glad I made the right decision to bet for them before the game started with just a -4.5 spread. All they need is to preserve this lead now. Be careful with turnovers and wish no one in the Miami Heat goes hot and cut this lead to a single digit.
Just for the records, that 81 points is the new franchise record for most points for the first half for the Bucks in the playoff game.
Ohhh wait aside from that record, they did another history again as they just tied the most number of threes in the playoffs in a single game with 25 threes that made by the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2016.

That 24-2 run that they've made on the 2nd quarter. It just shows that they are still a good team without they all-star Giannis. 7 players got double digits as well, and 6 of them had 1 3PT shot FG as well. What's amazing in this game is that, the total points they got in 3 quarters in Game 2 is even higher than the points that they've got in Game 1.

It's impressive that six players had double-digit production, that's insane. Their ball movement seems to improve without Morant, so it begs the question: are they the better team without Morant?
No. They're still a good team even without him, but his contributions, and his energy that he's being given when he's on the court can't be unmatched by anybody on their team. Still they're a better team with him obviously, but without him, we can say that they can still compete on top teams because of how deep their bench are.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 19, 2023, 02:19:42 PM
~the Scott Foster curse has been broken. Pretty funny that the story of the night isn’t the Suns beating the Clippers but Chris Paul beating Scott Foster. One thing I will say is that Russell Westbrook had a hell of a game. It’s amazing how much different he looks after going from the Lakers to the Clippers. Happy for him.
I'm still happy that the CPC has ended already. After this game, I call CP3 "CPC" which means "Chris Paul Curse" Cheesy.

Another one is that, the Suns can't afford to go down 0-2, and then play 2 games on the road. That would demoralize the whole team if that happens, and include the fact that it would be shameful for them to go down 0-2 where they are being considered as a super-team right now. What they need now is to win 1 game on the road, and they're good to go again. Westbrook's performance is worth noting here as well, and he played very well in both games TBH.

The Lakers are full of confidence now ever since Westbrook was traded. They seem to have found the best roster that could win a championship. If they win here despite being in a lower ranking, I believe they still have a shot against the winner of the GSW and Kings series.

Game 2 is very important for Memphis. If we believe they have a chance to win the series, then they should win Game 2 as it's a must-win for them.
Ever since after the trade deadline, the Lakers are one of the top defensive teams already, so yes trading Westbrook is beneficial for them, and TBH, both LA teams are happy with it. Clippers got Westbrook which is playing very well in the last 2 playoff games, and at the same time, the Lakers are even better ever since they traded him because it opened to so many role players that is a big help for them.

The morale of the team right now is high knowing that they stole Game 1. I just don't know if Morant can play in Game 2, but if he will not play then at least they still have Tyus Jones which is one of the best back-up point guards right now in the league. Now if the Grizzlies will lose again in Game 2, my dream match will not happen anymore which is the Grizzlies-Warriors in the 2nd round.  Cry Cry Grin
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 19, 2023, 02:05:09 PM
Someone ask me a question after introducing bitcoin to him, if he can start up with $30 and grow with it but I told him bitcoin is wide and high in volume, price and market, that's means whatever you're starting with determine the outcome of the market like for example; if you start with $30 and eventually the market goes up to a little increase of $32 can not be compared with someone who started same time with you, at the rate $100.

So also when the market is down to some extent, the person with $30 may likely loss more because of the money is small. Blockchain has the minimum amount one can invest if am not mistaken but if your amount is too small may be difficult to make easy progress.
A 30$ start isn't a bad thing already.

I still remember when I started investing into Bitcoin. I started way lesser than your friend (I assume that it's your friend). I invested I think around $20 only to invest into Bitcoin, and I can't forget that time because when I bought it, it was February of 2018, and for those who are into cryptocurrency at that time, or even not you can see what happened on that year. Cheesy

Now with regards to your friend, 30$ is a good start already I would say (I said it because 30$ is a huge money already).

What do you think about my advised to him?
1. Let him continue to add some more. 30$ today, and then X amount next week or after 2 weeks or next month. Let him do Dollar Cost average since it's the safest approach when it comes to cryptocurrency.
2. Say the truth to him. What I mean is that, tell the truth about how Bitcoin's price moves. Tell him as well that Bitcoin isn't a rich-quick scheme like most people are thinking about it.
3. Guide him. Guide him all the way. Guide him to the point that you can feel that he can invest all by himself already. Guide him since I assume that he is still a beginner. There's no harm in guiding somebody, and it's a good thing since you introduced it to somebody which increases adoption.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: April 19, 2023, 01:11:59 PM
1) Normies (or lazy people who don't want to do research and want to follow trend)
2) Bots
3) Bitcoin uneducated people
I'm thinking on which on the three am I because I did follow some in the past, but not anymore. Maybe I will just put myself in the third one, because I don't consider myself as Normies since I always do research whenever I invest into a new project. I'm not a bot as well. At least in the third one, for me it isn't uneducated, but more of a "lack of knowledge" kind of people.

So what do you think?
Will we finally see the fall of influencers or there still will be enough stupid people to follow their advice?
There will still be stupid people following them, and just by looking at how many people are spending their time on the internet, I believe that they will not stop.

I mean there will still be lazy people around the world who will just follow what the influencers they're following are recommending, and when they lost, they will put the blame on them which is quite ridiculous knowing that these people who are following these influencers are lazy.

Do they think that being lazy will make them rich? Do they think that following the recommendations of these influencers will make them rich? Do they think that just throwing money into a project without any knowledge into it will make them rich. If only it's that easy to be rich, then we must all be rich by now.

~
The first is bitboycrypto (I think that's his tag).  I've seen other Youtubers play clips of his videos, and it's goddamn obvious he's the crypto equivalent of Jim Cramer, but probably much worse in the obviousness of his bullshit.

The second is Voskcoin, though last I knew he was primarily focused on mining.  His smugness and general presentation is just repulsive to me, and he--like most other big GPU mining channels--is probably a Youtuber first and foremost and a miner as a secondary passion.

TL;DR:  Fuck 'em all.
I did follow these 2 crypto influencers back in the year 2019 I think. Bitboycrypto in 2019, and Voskcoin in 2020. Cheesy
Overall, they are being paid to shill some new projects that's why I'm not following them anymore. TBH, I don't know anymore influencers who are advertising projects than these 2 especially Bitboy which is just a stupid sh*t who advertised a few projects in his channel, and now those projects are nowhere to be found now.

It's just crazy that Bitboy has more than a million subscribers still while Voskcoin has 600k+ subscribers, and that shows that there are still people who are either getting entertained with their videos or following what project/s they're advertising on their channel. Well, I subscribed to Voskcoin back in 2020 not because of him focusing on mining (because I can't mine Bitcoin using mining rigs here), but because his Shiba Inu doggy "Tails" is very cute.  Cheesy Cheesy
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 19, 2023, 01:13:55 AM
Which country between these two would you rather see welcoming crypto and fully embracing Bitcoin? China? The United States?
Although it's possible, US is unlikely to ban it because it will require legislation, and pass that would make it illegal, base on Investopedia. LINK
As for China, the Communist party there always want to track what their countrymen are doing, but we know that they can't do everything, and of course because of that there will still be people who are using cryptocurrency for various reasons.

At this point in Bitcoin and crypto life, Ban is no more an issue it seems, what do you think about this? It's like saying a country ban VPNs where as you can bypass any country's FireWall.

Banning crypto is no more effective on crypto itself, it's now more like a pure joke, I would still like to see the U.S embrace crypto more than China, just my own answer to my question, what about you?
They can't ban something that they didn't created themselves.
I wonder why don't the government just let their people do what they want with cryptocurrencies without any restrictions whatsoever. On the other hand, seeing countries banning crypto as a "joke" isn't a good thing either because if there is a country (especially when a huge country like China), issued a ban on it, most of the time it has an effect on the price of crypto.

As with US embracing crypto, as of now there are no legislations that are being passed to make it illegal. On the other hand, there will still be people who are anti-crypto like the one in the senate I guess that is building an anti-crypto campaign IIRC (Correct me).
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 19, 2023, 12:38:39 AM
2-0, who would thought that?

The Kings are really upping their defense and chemistry in this game. They didn't panic even when the Warriors made a comeback courtesy of Klay Thompson's two 3-point shots. The loss of Draymond Green was a big factor as he got emotional and kicked Sabonis in the stomach, causing his ejection from the game. I hope this doesn't happen again, as they need to win game 3. If they still lose, I would say the Warriors' dynasty will be over this playoffs.

It was a great win for the Kings, and they deserved it. Everyone played well.

You are right, who would have thought.
In history only around 6% of teams came back after being down 0:2 in the first round of the playoffs, so it's gonna be a rough series for the Warriors.
~
Losing Draymond was a big blow, he once again lost his cool even though I can understand him a little bit. Sabonis held on to his foot so he reacted and kicked him, but he kicked him a little bit too much, haha. Let's see what the NBA will rule in this case, he might even get suspended and once again weaken his team because of his behaviour.
Well, 6% isn't equal to 0%, and besides the Warriors played really well on their home (in fact they're one of best in terms of home wins this regular season). They only need 2 wins on their home to regain the momentum coming into Game 5 on the road again. We've known the Warriors to be one of the worst road teams this season, so no surprise as to why they lost 2 games for the first time since the Curry Era.

As for Draymond Green getting ejected. I'm a Warrior fan, but I was disappointed on how he stepped Sabonis' stomach, but in other angle, it's obvious that he held his foot. It's just that what Green did was horrible, and it can lead to injury. After the incident, he is mocking the Kings' fans, and if you watched their last 2 games, Kings' fans are one of the loudest right now, but he don't care. Well, that's what you get after playing many times in the playoffs.

Chris Paul has lost his last 14 games when Scott Foster was the referee. Will tonight be the night he breaks that streak? With the Suns down 0-1 in the series, they certainly need it. As ridiculous as Scott Foster’s hate for Chris Paul is, I’m not sure I’d go against it. I’m honestly not sure how Scott Foster still has a job at this point…
Can we put our bet now on the Clippers because of this one? Cheesy
Well, after I saw your post, I already put my bet on the Clippers at 4.10. Kind of funny for me to put my bet just because of a referee, but losing 14 games to a single referee is just hilarious. Scott Foster has been a referee for a very long time already, and has lots of controversies in the past as well.

I guess he'll do what he needs to do as a referee, and that is "TO CONTINUE THAT STREAK". Cheesy

I see that Woj is reporting Draymond Green will be suspended for stomping on Sabonis' ribs during game 2, but I've also read that isn't true and he isn't going to be suspended.  Anyone know what the actual news is or do we need to wait for an official announcement?
I guess this article coming from Fox News is reliable enough? LINK

And while there has been no word from the NBA as of Tuesday afternoon, it’s reported that Green is "unlikely" to be suspended for Game 3 of Golden State’s playoff series against the Kings, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

First of all, taking a loan for investing isn't life threatening, and it depends on your way of thinking.
I borrowed money many times already, and I've been using it to invest into different assets. Why am I doing it? Because it's better to do it that way.
Remember Robert Kiyosaki? He is borrowing money if he feels that he needs to. If he feels that a real estate property's price is low, he will borrow, buy that property, make profit from it, and then pay the loan using the revenue. I mean there's nothing wrong in borrowing money for investing. It all depends on the one who is borrowing.

It was an uncle of mine who took a loan on his name and sent it to a childhood friend living in America, he knew I was a crypto enthusiast and he never asked me to help him. I asked him why he took the loan for this, and he replied that the person is reliable, and his friend is a crypto trader, but he doesn't even know how crypto works.

I find out that his friend is focusing on meme coins only, he invested in crypto projects on pink sale, and the names are the type that you will laugh at when you hear them, I later told my uncle to keep praying that things go his way, he still believes that his friend is better than me and I am not trying to prove that I am better.
I don't know how I feel with this one.

I mean investing into meme coins "ONLY" is very laughable already, but there's money involved, so I'm kind of sad, and scared at the same time for your uncle because he got tricked by his "trusted" friend. Well, I guess the best thing that your uncle can do is to pray like you said. Sometimes, people will only realize that they're wrong when the worst thing happened to him. Let him continue what he did. He doesn't listen to you right? Let him experience it the hard way. I'm not saying though that his decision is wrong because there is still a chance that he can make money if he withdraws that money, pay that loan and keep the profit, but with how you shared it to us, I guess it wasn't the case.

I always say this. Experience really is quite expensive (in price). Cheesy

I hope things go well like they hope, but this is a very big concern for me, because if anything happens, he will be left alone to pay back the loan, this can be life threatening because he is old and the loan amount is a lot, or do you have any better idea about this? What would you have done if you are in my shoes?
It's his problem, and not yours anymore.
Like you said, he doesn't listen to you. Why bother spending time convincing him that what he did was wrong when he isn't listening at you at first place. It's a concern yes, and it's life threatening considering that you said that he is old, and the amount that he borrowed is huge, but sometimes people need to experience the worst things in life in order for them to realize that what they did was wrong.

Any better idea? Just let him do what he wants to do.
What would've I done if I'm in your situation? Like you, I will take some time in convincing him, but if I felt that he really don't listen to me, then I'll just forget about it.

I wasn't able to watch the other games, but I see the Westbrook put that defensive gem against Booker to give the Clippers their first win in their playoff against the Phoenix Suns. The Heat too upset the top seed Bucks in their own series as Giannis wasn't able to play with a back contusion. The good news is that his X-ray comes back clean. So most likely he will be back in game 2.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is very happy watching his Clippers team winning against the Suns on the road. Cheesy

As for Westbrook, if only he didn't did that 2 clutch free throws, and that defensive stop, he must be on the hot seat right now because of how bad he shot on that game. Kawhi played really well, and it's expected coming from him, but if the Clippers needed to win the series, and upset the team who has projected to be the top title contenders, they need Westbrook to step up at least in the offense, and at the same time, they need role players to step up as well. I mean they played well, but if they want to be a title contender, it need to be better.

As for the Heat-Bucks, it's an upset, and I thought that the Bucks will sweep them because of how good they are, but that game just shows that not having Giannis have a huge impact for the team. I just hope that he will be back on their next game because they badly needed him.

I put my bets on the Bucks, and the Suns because I thought that they will make a come back after trailing by double-digits, but it didn't happen, and I lost both of my bets. Well, at least I'm happy watching playoff games right now, and so are the others here.

Interest rates are still high and FED just keeps rising it. And that's where the real problem is. You should understand that some signals might be good and show that economy is recovering, but while inflation is still higher than needed, FED will keep rising or then holding interest rates. It means that it's NOT over and we might see another huge Bitcoin dump in a near future. It's obvious that some sectors of the economy showing some good results but only because of the LAG EFFECT of the interest rates.

I still think that we won't see real gains until inflation will go down enough and fed will start cutting interest rates. I said it before and I will say it again: I think the best time to buy bitcoin will be after interest rates will go down. It's easily the best signal to buy for me. And it's also the least risky one.

So be careful. If you truly don't know if you should buy or not, do some research and always look at the bigger picture and not some small local signals.
Well, what can I say. Thanks for reminding us I guess. Cheesy
When Bitcoin's below $20,000, interest rates at that time is at it's peak. Fortunately, I bought a small amount at that time, and didn't do and what you are saying. Now interest rates are still high, Bitcoin's price is still low (for me), why not take the opportunity to buy now, and wait for the Fed to cut interest rates?

I mean sooner or later, Fed will still cut interest rates, so why not make one step ahead of it? You used the word "think" meaning you're not sure as well on what you're saying. Well, I'm 100% sure if I say that it's still a good time to invest into Bitcoin right now. Just buy. Do Dollar-Cost Average, and don't wait for Fed to cut interest rates.

Now with to your opinion, I guess I will not follow what you said. Smiley Respect to you still for sharing your opinion, but I will not follow that one. I still believe in Dollar-Cost Averaging. F*ck the interest rates, but I will still continue to buy, and buy, and buy.

except for the Clippers who won very closely with that incredible play by WB, clutch block and a save to secure the possession and a 3 pt lead which put the Clippers into a comfortable position to win the game.
Westbrook had an awful night TBH. 9 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists with 3/19 shooting? I mean if the Clippers on that one, he might be the one who will receives criticisms again because of how awful his stats are. On the other hand, his 2 clutch free throws to extend their lead to 3, and his defensive block plus him bouncing the ball to Booker's foot to send the ball back to them is his highlights.

The battle between Leonard and Durant has been pretty solid. They've been defending each other most of the time when they're both in the court. Kawhi ended the game with 38 points while Durant got almost a triple-double 27 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists. It's the best game I've watched so far on the 3 games that has finished because until the final minute of the game, you don't know who will win.

Jimmy just toast the Giannis-less Bucks together with the whole Heat squad.
The Heat are the lowest in terms of points per game in the regular season with 109.5, and you allowed them to scored 130 points?

This just shows how impacting Giannis' absence is to his team. Yes they got Lopez and Portis to defend the paint, but still it will be a different outcome if Giannis just played the whole game. Unfortunately, injuries do happen, and on this game, one key player on each team got injured. Herro got an injury in his hand I think, and Giannis on his lower back. Anyway, Playoff Butler is back again, and he opened the series with 35 points, and 11 assists. Middleton, and Holiday on the other hand tried to carry their team having 33 points for Middleton, and 16 points and 16 assists for Holiday. Let's give credits to Portis as well as he scored 21 points off the bench.

We are just at the start of the playoffs, and we already key players on different teams that's already injured.
Herro on his hand, Giannis on his back, Morant on his hand as well, and PG13 on his knee. I hope that all of them will recover soon, and no more key players will get injured (though it's inevitable).

Elon Musk is only looking for ways to make more money and not thinking about Twitter users. I wonder if anyone on Twitter will not want to try to trade and start losing money, I hope they will know that trading is not for everyone.

Well, Twitter is a company, and companies do businesses, and businesses make profit, so I don't see any problem there I guess.
After all, integrating crypto trading on Twitter just increases the chances of cryptocurrency being seen worldwide because for sure, there are some Twitter users out there who doesn't, or worse don't know crypto at all.

Elon really is changing Twitter the way we know it. Crypto trading has risks, and it really isn't for everyone, but on the other hand, Elon isn't forcing those people who are using Twitter to use that additional feature. This might sound crazy for others, but I'm not using Twitter anymore, and I've only used it when I was joining bounty campaigns. Cheesy

I tried trading on eToro though, and I think it's good especially the copy-trading feature. I just don't know why whenever Elon Musk is having some updates, they always connect DOGE with it. Cheesy
1380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: April 16, 2023, 10:24:50 PM
P.S I have really poor knowledge on bitcoin technicalities, am more of the chart reading and gut feeling type. so I hope am not breaking any of the rules posting here.
Was really curious to understand if technical analysis is vital or just a means to reduce risk. Thanks in advance
Experts in trading know technical analysis, or at least they know how to read charts, and use indicators that will help them in their trading journey.
However, learning technical analysis alone isn't enough for you to success.

I'm not an expert in trading, but I tried crypto trading already, and what I will say is that it really is needed aside from the fact that you need to focus on the fundamental side as well because there are some news that can make the price of the coin go up significantly, and that would mean opportunity for you as a trader. On the other hand, TA isn't a must know because you can still use fundamentals to trade, and vice-versa.

I guess learning technical analysis would be beneficial for you if you really want to give crypto trading most of your time. I mean if you really want to be a successful crypto trader then you must learn Technical analysis aside from the fact that you need to learn how to be emotionless when it comes to trading. When I was trading, I also use my gut whenever I'm making decisions. Cheesy Technical analysis isn't a vital thing when it comes to crypto trading, but it would be beneficial for you if you will learn it.
