1621  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PHLWIN Fraud/Scam nga ba? on: March 19, 2023, 05:10:45 PM
Pwede niyong panoorin tong Youtuber na ito na nagshare ng kanyang insights regarding sa PHLWIN
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2Cfo_fmC_Y

1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2023, 04:57:51 PM
That's a tough game to bet golden state has been horrible on the road.  And the Grizzlies always play up to the Warriors when they are playing each other.  I'm laying off this game and just gonna enjoy watching this one.  Always fun with all the smack talking between these 2 teams.  Big game though for the Warriors.  They need to figure out how to win on the road against good teams if they are gonna compete for anorher chip.
There was a time where they are up against the Thunder, but instead of betting on the Warriors which is obviously has a higher chance of winning, I bet on the Thunder at that time simply because the Warriors are playing on the road. That's how awful the Warriors are on the road this season.

I'm pretty sure they are aware on what's happening on them at the road, but they just can't find a perfect solution to this nightmare that they are facing. They are playing really well on their home, and they've got one of the best home records right now, but one of the worst road records. On the other hand, the good thing about the Warriors on this game is even though they lost, Klay flexed yet again his 4 rings to somebody. They didn't show who it is, but winning 4 rings isn't an easy thing to do so, he has bragging rights to do it especially with a team who don't have any title yet. Cheesy

Their next match-up is against the Houston Rockets. Let's see if they can break the curse.
The Rockets are already eliminated this season, but they are still playing really well. They are on a 3 game winning streak and they even defeated the Celtics on this one. With how the Warriors are playing, I might put a bet on the Rockets on this one simply because this will happen on the home of the Rockets.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 19, 2023, 04:32:18 PM

If they keep this up, they might get a chance for another long winning streak. They have 3 now and their next opponent will be the Timberwolves who is an offensive team. We will see how they will answer back on their offensive barrage.
It's good to see Brunson back with the team after a few games of him being out.

TBH, the Knicks are one of the most improved teams this season. From being at the bottom to now at the 5th spot. They are on a 3 game winning streak and 7-3 on their last 10 games. Their last 10 games will be a balanced one because 5 games will be on their home, and 5 on the road. The Knicks currently have one of the best road records right now in the league with 22-14 win-loss record, so them playing on the road isn't a problem unlike the Warriors who are struggling so much on the road. If there's a problem with the Knicks right now, it's Randle's shot selection and his shot attempts where the volume is too high, and he don't know how to adjust when he isn't having a good night.

Anyway, teams must watch out the Knicks team, and I hope that they will not get eliminated on the first round immediately.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 19, 2023, 03:31:00 PM
Well, as expected on the first games of the playoffs. Teams who are on the bottom will lost by double digits.

On the first game, it's the only game Converge's import, but he scored 39 points, got 10 rebounds, played for 46 minutes and 40% from 3-pt area. For a debut match, I guess it's a good stat line already, but as we expected, they lost to the SMB by 16 points. Clark, Perez and Manuel combined for 86 of the total 121 points. Manuel showed his efficiency on this one as he's the best player of the game scoring 20 points with a perfect 9/9 shooting.

On the second game, when I saw that Selden Jr. got an injury, I didn't watch the game anymore because I know and we know what to expect with this one. I mean with Selden Jr. at least they have a chance, but without him, that chances drop to 0%. I wonder how the NLEX Road Warriors performed this whole conference if they retained Jonathon Simmons as their import instead of Wayne Selden Jr., but anyway, they lost bigtime.

Two sister teams in SMB and Ginebra will face in the Semi-Finals on a best of 5 series. I think Ginebra will win on this match-up. Only a prediction though. Smiley
1625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you advice a new trader to join a trading community or group? on: March 19, 2023, 09:16:02 AM
Can there be any major disadvantage being a member of such a trading groups? What is your advice to people?
You might get overwhelmed by the tons of advices that they can give to you.

I mean there is nothing wrong with joining a trading community or group because I also joined one or two when I was still new to trading. The problem that I encounter is that, the amount of information that they're giving to a newbie is too much that you might get overwhelmed because of the terms, the tips or the strategies that they are giving. It comes to a point where I don't want to read their comments anymore because it's too much for me. I don't know if there is somebody aside from me whose experiencing this, but I see it as a disadvantage, and can affect your learning journey.

My advice? I'm not an expert in trading like most of us, but learning on your own pace will help you. This helped me learning trading. I watched Youtube videos, tried some strategies personally, and fortunately I'm getting some profits in trading already.
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay humble and go your own way (invest in yourself) - the best strategy of 2022 on: March 19, 2023, 08:58:38 AM
- kept all your bitcoin in self-custody,
- checked your backups,
- avoided noise like SBF/FTX drama, politics and put your attention and time elsewhere,
- withdrew bitcoin from exchanges,
- avoided "yield", "lending" and other scams of 2022,
- increased your bitcoin holdings,
Did all of these last year. Constantly accumulating Bitcoin that I've been storing in a non-custodial wallet. Constantly checking my backup keys as well while avoiding making some bad decisions that caused by the FTX drama sh*t. I didn't have Bitcoin in any exchanges last year. I didn't even touched these platforms that has a yield feature, or even those apps that lets investors to lend their money for an annual interest.

- worked on your health, relationships, living conditions, knowledge, skills,
- gained new experience (inside or outside Bitcoin),
If there are things that I might regret not doing last year, these are the 2. I'm fatter than what I was in 2021 because I didn't have the time to go out and play or exercise etc. At the same time, I didn't gain any new experience at all (or if there is one then I can't recall what it is).

Any other views? What else could have been done or avoided? Isn't avoidance of pitfalls as much impactful as chasing "yield"?
If I will add, I guess it's "Always learn new things". Businessmen always read books so that they will learn something.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are collapsing. Will Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies rise from here?? on: March 19, 2023, 08:35:22 AM
Recently bank like Credit Suisse and Silicon Valley bank are collapsing. People are switching their money to bitcoin. Is it the sign that more people are no longer trusting the bank and are moving toward to decentralized world?
Partly yes.

I mean like in crypto where investor's trust is affected towards a project when something bad happens, it's the same with the banks that some people no longer trust them because of what happened. Banks are known to be against crypto so the fall of some banks for some investors is a positive sign for them thus, they will invest more. At least it's what the sentiments of the investors, and we are already seeing Bitcoin pumped up at the time these banks fell down.

Currently at $27,400, if the fall of more banks continues, we might see Bitcoin continue to go up as well. On the other hand, there will still be people who will trust banks no matter what happened to them. They will just withdraw their money, and then find a larger bank for them to keep their money there.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 19, 2023, 04:36:12 AM
Ok so Beterbiev vs Callum Smith has been ordered by the WBC next, although it's going to be a short 3 weeks negotiation as the ordered is up to April 11. If there are no contract between the two sides, then it will go on a purse bid.

So definitely we will see Beterbiev fight this year again. But we have to wait for it and it is obviously not Bivol which is the fighter that we wanted to see and for the unification of the belt. But Callum Smith might be a good opponent for him. We all know that he had a good title run, until he lost to Saul Alvarez and then he decided to move up to 175 and now has another crack for the belt against Beterbiev.
Yeah Callum Smith only lost against Canelo in his whole career and he's currently at 3rd position on light heavyweight boxing rank, so it's should be a good fight. However it's really crazy how boxrec give a huge rate to Bivol after he beat Canelo, Beterbiev's point is really small compared to Bivol. If there's an unification fight Bivol vs Beterbiev, Beterbiev might become an underdog even though he's carrying 3 belts.
~
Maybe the fact that Bivol defeated a superstar in Canelo made him increase his points.

Anyway, like many others here, all of us wants to watch a unification fight between Beterbiev and Bivol, but it seems like it will not happen this year at least like what @Baofeng said. Had to watch some of Smith's highlights on Youtube, and he's a good fighter, a good counter puncher, and looks like he's copying what Canelo is doing to his opponents where he make a punch to the head and then to the body instantly.

21 KO's out of his 29 wins (70% KO rate), I think Smith might be a good opponent for him, but... it's Beterbiev that will be his opponent. A monster in the light heavyweight division that has a hundred percent KO rate. A boxer who isn't throwing a lot of punches, but when he throws punches, it's full of power. Anyway, I hope this match will materialize, and will happen this year. As for Bivol, is there any updates with him, or any opponents that he will face this year?
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think that there are Dark secrets in every Successful Business on: March 19, 2023, 04:20:46 AM
Whether it is on business or in gambling in general, there are still dark secrets into it.
These are secrets that any normal people don't know, but on the other hand, they're the ones that are suffering because of what the rich can do to them.

As for dark secrets in gambling, there are some, but I believe the main reason why only a minor number of gamblers are winning is because of how they see gambling, and how they approach gambling. Most of the gamblers sees gambling as their way to financial freedom, and that isn't the correct way of seeing it. Many gamblers sees it as a way for them to make profit though there's nothing wrong with it, but that kind of thinking makes the majority of the gamblers lose more money.

For sure there are secrets in every business including gambling itself, but businessmen and casino owners worked hard for it, and they deserved what they achieved.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2023, 02:43:11 AM
No televised games for me to watch today but there are a couple matchups that might make for intriguing bets. I’m not able to place any bets today unfortunately but if I was I think I’d have to put down a parlay bet with the Kings, Warriors, and Celtics all beating their opponents. Nothing mind blowing but those seem like safe enough bets to combine.
I think you can watch on Stake.com because they are livestreaming NBA games there. I'm always watching there whenever I have time, and so far I'm comfortable watching on their website. Maybe the fact that it's a small window only is a problem, but you can enlarge it still. Smiley

Your Parlay is already lost because the Warriors lost on the road "AGAIN" against the Nuggets. This is their 3rd straight road loss on their 5 consecutive road games, and 11th straight road loss. Curry just held to just 16 points after having a high scoring consecutive games. Kuminga on the other hand is their highest scorer with 24 points off the bench. This kid is a good pick by the Warriors because he's a great defender, and their opponent doesn't respect his ability to shoot threes. Overall, they still lost to the Grizzlies. I wonder what Dillon "Dynasty" Brooks will say again against Draymond Green. Cheesy
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 19, 2023, 02:23:06 AM
After winning 1 to break the 4 losing streak, Denver Nuggets are back to lose more.  Grin I don't even understand what is happening. The stats are okay, Murray is back to his normal shooting accuracy and attacking the paint. Maybe it's the lack of defense that they are missing. They are known to score over 120+ per game and they have a record to win it whenever it goes over 120. But vice versa to their losing record when they gave scores like 110+ they will absolutely lose. They may be safe for the playoffs but giving away games will put them in number 2 as the Kings are not stopping to win each game.

Yes, and again, one interesting numbers: Jokic didn't make a triple double, he is shy of 2 assists. And when we see this stats, it make us think that they could be in trouble if he can't make a triple double, also the scoring output though, he is to be expected to score at least 30 points.

Very though for them, maybe they are not doubting themselves again in the playoff. Last year Jamal is out and then Porter Jr has some extended injuries. But now, this season they are healthy, on top of the standings, but seems to be having problems closing out the regular season. And we might say that they are choking right now, in my opinion.
Well, they are still 4 games above the 2nd seeded Kings, so maybe these is a strategy to them. I mean kind of they will not perform 100% on their remaining games, so that they will still have the energy when playoff comes. If they know that they will retain the 1st spot with a few games remaining, for sure their key players Jokic and Murray will sit in preparation for the upcoming playoffs.

Currently, they lost 5 of their last 6 games and the only win that they got in that 6 game span was against the Pistons. They only have 11 games remaining, and it's a bit tough at least because on that 11 games, 7 of them are against teams above .500 (Warriors, Suns, Sixers, Bucks, Nets, Kings). TBH, I'm a bit worried on how the Nuggets are performing on their last games, but if they will manage to win majority of the remaining 11 games then I still think that they will retain that top spot in the West.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 18, 2023, 04:25:57 PM
Might need to bring everything, not just with the new import, but they needed to work together if they wanted to win against the heavy favorite SMB. I'm always vocal with my pick here and I also believing that whatever the spread the chance of covering is possible with SMB, even they don't have Fajardo but the import's performance covers his numbers.

It will be the locals that will compete to win and how they will finish the game against one another.
Speaking of locals, the local players of Converge are also good players, and can help their import in terms of offense.

They have players like Ahamnisi, Teng, and Stockton to lead the offense for the locals, and at the same time they have Arana, Pascual and Tratter to defend the paint. The FiberXers' local players are also good ones as well and will be a good help with their new import. Well, Converge are the heavy underdogs in this series match-up because why not? They are facing the SMB who we know how star-studded their team are even without Fajardo.

Like you, I also believe that the spread that the sportsbook will put might be covered by the SMB whatever number it is (spread).
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won 500$ on Stake on a blackjack (in 1 minute) on: March 18, 2023, 03:09:40 PM
I just felt this thread is kind of a bragging post, and an advertisement post at the same time.
I mean why making a thread like this where you only won $500?

You beat their site and took their money? As if the only money Stake.com has is only $500 base on how you said it. Cheesy Kind of funny that you are bragging that you won that amount where the reality is, there are much more gamblers out there who are winning way better that you are and yet, they aren't saying it to the public. There are gamblers out there who has more money than you (base on your video), and yet they aren't bragging it.

Well, good luck with your gambling journey, and I know that you just created an account here in the forum just to brag your $500 winnings. Cheesy
1634  Economy / Economics / Re: Another bank?! | First Republic Bank stock halted for volatility on: March 18, 2023, 02:45:54 PM
Silvergate, Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, First Republic Bank, and even Credit Suisse are having a hard time right now for different reasons.

What's happening with these banks affects the trust of the people towards the whole banking industry. The more banks to fall, the less deposits the people do and they might find an alternative way to store their money. Will these different banks falling down might be a cause for another "2008 Global Financial Crisis" again?

As for the crypto, it looks like what's happening to the banks right now is a positive for the crypto investors thus, they are inserting more money and buying Bitcoin and other altcoins. We know that the sentiments of the people are a huge factor towards the price of a particular coin. Anyway, I don't know, but this might create domino effect towards other bank as well, and we might see more banks falling on the succeeding weeks.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 18, 2023, 02:18:36 PM

That was a close game. The commentator said at the beginning to punish the Warriors in the paint for playing small ball, but it seems small ball is still effective. They just made some mistakes in the dying minutes. Overall, either team could have won, it only differed on the execution in the end. With the outcome, the Warriors losing streak continues.
And... they lost again on the road. 2/5
Yes I'm counting it because these 5 road games will be very crucial for the whole team. If they will still lose in these next 3 road games, they might go down to as low as the 9th or even 10th spot. That's how important these next games for them especially that they are on a Western Conference where the 4th until the 12th spot are only separated by 5 games.

I also thought that the Warriors will win on that game, but missed threes, turnovers caused them the game, and with that they extended their road losing streak into 10.

What a beauty this ending was.

Our guy Maxi Kleber with 3 clutch free throws 15sec before the end to make it a 1 point game and then after a Lakers turnover Maxi's first NBA game winner buzzer 3 pointer.

He is a force on the defensive end but his shooting from 3 is  definitely worth mentioning as well.

Thanks AD for the "great" foul on Maxi shooting a 3, amazing.

GO MAVS.
The Lakers' defense crumbled at the final seconds of the game, and they focused their attention on Irving too much that they left his other teammates.
On the other hand, I'm pretty sure nobody expected Kleber to shot the buzzer beater right, but still it's not ok to leave the you're guarding away because they can just shoot on three if needed like what happened. Anyway, it's a good revenge win for the Mavericks after blowing out a 26-point lead on their home to lose eventually against the Lakers.
1636  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: March 18, 2023, 03:25:38 AM
Bitcoin can end poverty of some people, but not all people.

First, not all people are aware of Bitcoin or at least in every nation like you said. In every country, not all of them knows Bitcoin so how they can be out of poverty with the help of Bitcoin? Aside from that, if there are some who knows Bitcoin, chances are they might not interested on even learning it because they might think that it will be a waste of time for them.

Second, some or let's just say most of the poor people aren't going out of poverty because of their mindset. They don't have a perfect mindset that will make them out of the poor. We know how important it is to have a mindset because that will help you.

There might be some people around the world that turned themselves into a rich person with the help of Bitcoin. Now to answer your question, it will not happen. A poor person will not have spare money for them to invest into Bitcoin.

I think this article deserves to be posted here.

“Blows My Mind!”: Kyrie Irving Goes Off on Gambling For Spoiling the Purity of NBA Basketball

What do you think is the right interpretation of his statement? Does he give us a clue that the NBA is fixed, and that the referees or the organization are dictating the outcome of the game? Is he suggesting that no matter how good a team is, they will still lose because the outcome was already planned?
I guess this Youtube shorts will be an evidence, and a proof as well that Kyrie's statements were true
https://youtube.com/shorts/ioaA5g4bdng?feature=share
Watch the video. You will hear the word "This is for Vegas" coming from the commentators with a little bit of an explanation.

To add this up, there is a rumor back in the days where a referee in the name of Tim Donaghy conspired of fixing NBA games.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25980368/how-former-ref-tim-donaghy-conspired-fix-nba-games

I guess what Kyrie's saying is true, and that really affects the whole organization.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 18, 2023, 02:24:29 AM
And that might be Converge's import first and last game lol. Since they in a twice-to-beat disadvantage, they are already in the do-or-die status.

I really feel bad for what to happened to Converge this conference after having a good run in the early phase of the eliminations.

Better luck next time though as reality speaking, it's hard to beat SMB twice in a row especially since SMB's Cameron Clark is capable of doing monster stats to cover Fajardo's absence. CJ Perez on the other hand keeps improving and consistently showing good performance. Terence Romeo too is now in the adjusting phase and once unleashes his usual form, that would make SMB more dangerous.
Kind of funny that Converge's new import might play only 1 game in the PBA because they might lose to a star-studded team like SMB.
On the other hand, this might be an opportunity for that import to showcase his talent outside his country. Who knows. If he will play very well and will be very efficient on this game despite losing, he might be given a chance to play again as an import on the next PBA conference where there is an import.

Like you, I feel bad as well with regards to the sequence of events that happened to them. Lose to Ginebra by a huge margin mainly because Franklin was a crybaby, then the FiberXers had a hard time finding a replacement import despite having more than a week of finding it, and now they are facing a team that is very dominating even though they don't have JMF. Better luck next time for them I guess. They played really well in their first games, but they lost steam on their remaining games, ended up the elimination round with a losing streak.

Just my own cent,  Wink and who knows if they can pull and upset to a heavy favorite (which I doubt they can  Roll Eyes  )
An upset?
Converge winning the first game might be the biggest upset that they can do IMO, but to win against SMB? I also doubt if they can.
1639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: March 18, 2023, 01:56:36 AM
Last night, the price of Bitcoin is at around $26,000. By the time I woke up, the price of it already reached $27,500.
A huge spike in just a few hours.

RSI currently is on the overbought territory already. It's only one indicator, but I guess we will see a bit of a correction in the next few days after this massive pump. I guess it's always a positive sign for the cryptocurrency market whenever the FED is printing money right? Cheesy They just printed money because of what happened to SVB, and now we are seeing Bitcoin pumping.

As for Bitcoin reaching $30,000 this month, we are at the mid of the month and still have at least 2 weeks before the month ends. Maybe it will, but for that to happen, there must be some catalyst/s that will make the price of Bitcoin pump (maybe the FED Press Conference). I don't know what it is, but Bitcoin will not reach $30,000 if there are no reasons at all.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 18, 2023, 01:31:45 AM
When I was growing up, I had a lot of experience gambling on games like:
---arm wrestling
---card game
----PlayStation competition
----dice
----animal racing
----food eating gamble
----playing soccer
This is just some of the games that you are playing in your locality. You just added the fact that you are betting on which team or which animal will win. Is it considered gambling? Yes because betting = gambling, but this isn't the games that we are seeing right now on some gambling sites or some casinos etc.

And so much more but its seem the world has evolved so greatly and many things we do before, have now been inputed in the internet and its now makes it access alot easier but I had some recent arguments with some folks in my locality that before, gambling physically with people was more fun than doing online in these recent casino that seem to cover all of our old gambling habits but I argued on the latter. So I thought I should drop here and here some of opinion of most advance gamblers with lots of gambling experience.
This question is a subjective one if you will ask me.

There are some people who wants to socialize with other people in person thus, they see gambling in a physical casino more fun than online. They are the ones who wanted to see people around them while gambling that's why they prefer it. On the other hand, there's the ones like me who is an introvert guy who loves gambling more online than in physical. I don't know the exact reason as to why I see online gambling more fun to me, but maybe it's because of the fact that there's no gambling here in our place where I can attend physically, or it's because of my trait.

After all, people see physical gambling more fun than internet gambling, and vice versa. What's important is people are gambling without any stress. People are gambling because they are entertained to do it. People are gambling because they find it relaxing.
