1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 06, 2023, 12:54:56 PM
I want to think... but I can't think of any because at first, time travelling isn't possible (at least for now).

Those people who sold their Bitcoins at a lower price is the reason why we are here now. They showed that a new currency like Bitcoin is there, can be transferred without any third party involved, and it can be an alternative mode of payment to fiat currency. Now with the Pizza Guy, I guess he already said that he doesn't have any regrets on his decision because at first place, he doesn't know the future, and he don't know the future of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin way back in 2009 is like any other shitcoins currently. We don't know the future that's, and these people who sold their Bitcoin in the past proved to us that it can be used for whatever reason it is. Many here have said that they might've bought it, but did you know what the future of Bitcoin is way back in 2009? If you missed the opportunity to buy Bitcoin, buy those shitcoins out there. Buy those new projects out there, and see if you can do it.

Sorry, but I'm just being realistic OP so... don't mind my words I guess. Smiley

Booker went crazy tonight for the Suns. Him and Durant both put up big numbers but his efficiency stands out as what made the difference in this game. I figured the Suns would bring it tonight. This win gives them a little life as the series is now 2-1 with the nuggets still in the lead. If the Suns can win the next one then they’ll have some hope after all.
It's good that the bench of the Suns at least helped them in this win. I mean in Game 2, their bench players only scored 4 points. Their benches played a total of 70 minutes at that time, and they only scored 4 points. At least in Game 3, and a must win for them, Coach Monty Williams made some adjustments, thus getting the victory.

The question is, how much can Booker and Durant can play all throughout the whole playoffs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the whole playoffs, both of them played more or less 40 minutes per game. I don't think that this is a good idea from their coach because in the later series (if they win against Denver), they will be facing tougher opponents. The bench need to step up more in terms of offense.

As for Jokic, he made history in this game as he's the first player in NBA history to record 25+ points, 15+ rebounds, and 15+ assists in an NBA playoff game. It's a good achievement for him, but for sure he doesn't care about it as he focuses more on the title than these kind of records. Now for the whole series, if they will win again in Game 4, it will be a best of 3 series, and my sentiments towards the Suns will change. I might watch the whole game to see if the bench of the Suns stepped up.

In the following month I was crazy. Full of revenge, I thought of all the ways how to make my capital money that was lost at that time come back through the next trade. I found group pumping in the telegram application. I follow and I pay attention on it.

After payday I immediately made a deposit. In the first execution when participating in group pumping, I got a profit, even though it was 25 percent. The second and third executions went according to plan and pocketed a profit.

Enter the next executable. Because in all three executions I made a profit I decided to go all in. Unexpectedly, pumping didn't go according to plan and only happened in a matter of seconds. My money was stuck and I lost 75 percent.
Well, this is the quote that I always hear applies.
"When emotions are high, intelligence is low."

Crazy? Full of revenge? Do you think the market cares about your emotions? No OP. Nothing cares about your emotions, and that's the hard truth. When you're trading, try to be emotionless. When you're trading, set aside your emotions. Your emotions lead you to follow some telegram pump and dump groups that obviously is a scam because the moment that they will tell you the coin that they will pump, when you try to trade on it, the coin already pumped. Well, I just hope that you've learned a lesson from this one.

Just to share as well that like you, I've also tried to join these pump and dump groups because I thought that it was a shortcut in trading because I'm a bit lazy at that time. Cut the story short, I ended up losing money following them, and from that I tried to learn trading. Spent time watching videos, applying it, and building the best strategy that works for me.

I'm Frustrated. And I decided not to trade crypto in 4 Months.
In those four months I gradually learned about trading self-taught on the internet. I started with money trading management, self control, DCA, charts and several indicators. Even though there are some, until now I don't understand either.

The point I made here I want to take a red warning to new traders or someone who is tempted to trade with the aim of quick money and so on to learn and understand what you are about to do.
It's good that you didn't gave up on trading, but continued to learn.

There are some lazy people (like me) who wants to earn profit thru trading in a quick, and easy way. I hope that these people will wake up one day, and realize that it wasn't that easy to gain profit in trading. If it's that easy to make profit thru trading then all of us must've been rich by now.

Don't rush, Enjoy the process. And if it's steady and ready to trade. Do it carefully, use SL and TP, be grateful for the profit, even if it's small, rather than a big loss. Don't be Greedy!

Loud of warning! Don't use your salary money let alone get into debt for trading. Just use money that is really free, afford to lose. Because if we force ourselves our mental health will be disrupted. If the mental is broken Trading will turn into a Gambling game!
~
Well, are there any additional tips on trading and managing finances from the salary we get or experience similar to mine? Please share here. thank you..
To all traders out there, take OP's advice, but don't focus on what he said, since there are many things that you need to learn thru trading.

If I will share a tip that will help newbie traders in trading, I guess it will be "Be emotionless." 2 powerful words that will help a trader to be successful. Being emotionless in trading is hard especially when you're starting, but as you gain experience, you will gradually learn how to control your emotion, and eventually set it aside. I'm too emotional as well when I started trading, and because of that I lost more than half of my initial capital. My losses taught me to set aside emotion, and as I trade, I learned to be emotionless.
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 05, 2023, 02:07:41 PM
~
Just wondering what we are all planning to do when Bitcoin does reach $100k - are you selling or are you holding till the 2028/29 bull run?
Sell.

I already have regrets on my past decisions on not selling in 2021 when the market is at it's peak. I just watched the whole market going up while I didn't made a decision at that time. Now my profits at that time just vanished, and I feel disappointed and mad at myself at that time. "A missed opportunity, but lesson learned." That's what I said to myself, and promised that I will sell a huge portion of my crypto holdings when the bull market comes.

I will still keep a portion of my holdings for the next bull run after that. I just wanted to cash out some of my profits that I got in holding cryptocurrencies. I just hope that most here will do the same. If there's a chance for you to sell, and take profit, don't miss the opportunity, and do it.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 05, 2023, 12:38:44 PM

I've also noticed that if this is still the playstyle of GSW and the Lakers in Game 3, then for sure GSW will win. Though this time I do bet now on the Lakers, as they should make adjustments on game 3 and hope that they will win, if ever they still lose on game 3, there is a huge chance that in this series GSW will win and for sure a lot of my friends will lose.

Looks like they were stunned and never got the chance to recover back the lead after they messed it up more in the 3rd quarter but that's just how it is because this is the NBA playoffs and expect to see something you don't much see in a regular season game such as this one. now the Lakers need to carefully review the games and see where they are lacking because if they can't figure it out, the same scenario will happen again this is where the GSW take advantage because they have been through lots of these kinds of games, especially last season and they somehow find the way and beat all the teams in the playoffs successfully, looks like this will be the case again if the Lakers will not bounce back.
They expected that Looney will still guard AD which is, so I guess Looney being out because of some illness is a blessing in disguise for the whole team.

I just like the adjustment of the Warriors in this game. High Pick and Roll between Curry, and Green, and since the Warriors have a small team on most of this game, Davis is guarding Green, Davis is having a hard time because of the high pick and roll. Curry can either shoot the ball or just pass the ball, and in this game, he got 12 assists (I think it's his most in a singe playoff game). It's good that Thompson stepped scoring 30 points on 8/11 shooting.

Speaking of Thompson, I saw this post from Bleacher Report from Facebook on how Coach Ham is coaching his players during a timeout:

I mean his been famous for coaching his team like that, and he's been doing it ever since he coached the Lakers. I don't know if this kind of coaching works within the team or not, but I guess the Lakers didn't stop Klay from shooting threes. Now it's 1-1, and the Lakers need to defend their home court. I wonder how the Lakers will adjust on the small ball lineup of the Warriors coming into Games 3 & 4.

Here are some Negative effects of excessive gambling.

Too much stress
Anxiety and Depression
Debt
Making wrong decisions
Just looking at the negative effects of gambling alone is enough for a regular person not to get involved into gambling that much.
Problem is, they look gambling as like a way for them to become rich in a quick way. They look gambling as a way for them to make their life better. Worse, there are some addicted gamblers who are doing some bad things, and sometimes brutal things just to have some funds that would be use to gamble.

I will just share a true story of our neighbor here in our place. He got addicted into gambling. So much that he will sell all of the things that he has. His property, his motorcycle, his phone, everything that he has just to have money to gamble. He would even rob into our neighborhood so that he can have the money. Unfortunately, he is in a state where he's crazy, depressed, and we often see him begging from different people so that he can have money now not to gamble, but to buy foods. Overall, he got addicted to gambling, and now he is having a hard time to the point that his family members are staying away from him already.

Gambling must not be your path to success, you will get rekt very fast.

Do not build any dreams around gambling at all.
Gamble for fun only, using small money that you aren't needing, and think about losing that money first, to make sure that you won't be needing the money if it's gone.
Take a break.
Play for fun.
Don't chase your losses.
Stick to your Limits.
Gamble Responsibly.
I wonder if there are some people who look gambling as a path to success? Cheesy Is there any  Grin

Anyway, for newbies out there, take OP's advice, and stick it to your head. Don't gamble that much because it will make you addicted. Have plans whenever you gamble. Having a good mindset before gambling will help you because it helped me. Overall, nothing is stopping us from gambling, but know when to gamble, and when not to gamble if needed.
1308  Economy / Economics / Re: 2023: What money lessons have you learned so far? on: May 04, 2023, 02:25:20 PM
None TBH. I'm only applying what I've learned in the last 2-3 years.

1. Have more than 1 source of income.
- Like OP said, nothing is promised. The more income source, the better.

Nowadays, in a family of 3-4 people, having only one source of income especially when you're living in an urban area isn't enough. Maybe it is enough if you're living in a rural area as prices of things there are cheaper, but having one income source on a family isn't enough at least for me. That income source will just go into the needs of the family. Where is the savings? Where is the emergency funds? That's why having multiple income source would be better than having only 1.

2. Invest at least 25% of my monthly income into different types of assets for diversification.
- This depends on the person, but this is what I'm doing. I'm putting 25% of my total monthly income into investment whether it will be stocks, or crypto, or even bonds. I learned this many years already, and that's why I had enough savings already to keep myself safe for at least a year maybe if things go south. Overall, always allot a percentage of your monthly income into whether emergency funds, or investing etc. Don't use it all for expenses.

3. Budget everything.
- Trust me. In a family, somebody must know how to budget your money.

I'm just lucky that my current partner knows how to budget our monthly incomes that's why we are not spending too much on the things that are considered useless to us. We're more focused on the things that we need such as food, investments, etc. etc. Budgeting is an essential thing when it comes to money. Without it, you will be spending on things that you don't need. Budgeting really is helpful especially if you want to buy something in the future, or build something.

I guess there are more money lessons that I've learned, but this is what came to my mind when I was thinking of the things that I've learned that is related to money. It's good that there are some users here who learned something that's related to money.
1309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't know if am right or wrong about this. on: May 04, 2023, 12:48:39 PM
Trading of bitcoin has been one of my source of income for quite some time now but find it difficult to tell some other persons to engage in trading because of the risk involved.
Good for you that you are earning thru trading already because you've said that it's your income source already. As for the risk, the risk is higher when the knowledge of the person wanted to trade is lower, and vice-versa. More knowledge = lower risk. Less knowledge = higher risk.

Last week a friend of mine saw me trading so he tried to know more about it, at first I never wanted to tell him due to the risk involved, but then based of his persistence I first of all explained to him the difference between spot trade and futures, but I told him I do only spot, how  I buy low and sell high, even as I was explaining it to him I was feeling uncomfortable because of the risk.
I don't know the feeling TBH of teaching somebody to trade because I didn't ever shared to anybody that I'm trading, but I know that feeling of being uncomfortable because you might be blamed whenever your friend lose your money because of trading.

Well, you did your part already. As long as you explained the possible risks of trading then I guess let him experience trading, and decide after making some trades. Sometimes, letting the person experience something is the key for them to realize if it's for them or not. Let him trade. If he losses, he might stop trading already.

I don't want a situation whereby someone will say that I scammed him if there is a sudden dip in the crypto industry, so I just told him to open a binance account and verify it, after then, he should get back to me so I can send him the hard copy of the crypto course I bought.
Uptil now I still feel uncomfortable about it, I don't know if am wrong or right for opening up, even though I told him of the risk involved.
Tell to him that you don't have any liabilities at all if he losses. Tell him that he will not blame you if he losses money because of trading. That will make you safe... I guess. Cheesy

Overall, I think you're helping your friend, and you are sharing many information already. As for the part where you are saying if you are right or wrong, like I said you did your part already, so I guess there's nothing wrong with that. As long as you shared the information needed, you shared the risks involved in trading, and you already told that he might loss all of his money at the start, then you did the right thing. Like you said, he's very persistent to do trading. Let him trade, and let him decide after getting some experience.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 04, 2023, 12:25:21 PM
Boston slapped up the Sixers with Embiid back. It looked to me like Embiid ran out of gas after the first half. He was taking some plays off and I think it cost his team. I’m not saying the Sixers are better without Embiid, but they’re definitely better than having an injured slow Embiid out there and I think that showed tonight.

I'm more concerned for James Harden because he seems not very effective on this one which led to their loss. As expected for the Boston Celtics, they were able to pinpoint their lack of defense in the first game and fix that right way which is really amazing cause they win the game easily and they also make give Harden one if his worst performance in the playoff games. These games are crucial and every time they play on the court they gave it all they can because they cannot afford to lose one more time and chase the 76ers.
Well, I guess most of us expected that the Celtics will take 2, but what I didn't expect is how the Celtics won. I expect that this will be a close one knowing that Embiid is back, and with Harden's Game 1 performance, he will continue it in Game 2, but it wasn't the case at all.

After scoring 45 points, the Celtics adjusted on how they must defend Harden, and that's the reason why he is very awful on that game scoring only 12 points, and had -21 on the plus-minus rating. We know that the Celtics are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, and there's not that much changes on their roster. What we don't know is that they are also a good three point shooting as well, and they displayed it here on this game as they shot 20 threes in 51 attempts compare to just 6 of 30 for the Sixers.

Also the 3rd quarter surge of the Celtics made consecutive three point shots is the reason why the lead ballooned coming into the 4th quarter, and from that they didn't look back. I guess there's nothing wrong with Harden on this one, but it's the adjustment of the Celtics' defense against him that causes him to have this poor performance, and so is Embiid.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 04, 2023, 01:04:44 AM
As long as Bitcoin will stay above the 200 Weekly Moving Average, I will remain bullish on Bitcoin thus, I expect Bitcoin to surpass the $30,000 at least this month, and stay above it.

Current supports are at the $27,000 level and the $24,000 level which is the 200 Daily Moving Average. I always use the 200 MA, and for sure most traders and TA users as well because that indicators tells the trend of a coin, and in this case it's Bitcoin. Looking at the chart some have posted here, in the last 2 years, the month of May has been very harsh to users as we have seen double digit negative returns.

Well, we've seen Bitcoin going up in the first few days of the month after it going down to as low as $27,000. Anyway, I'm still bullish regardless of what happen unless it goes down below the 200 Daily or Weekly Moving Average then I will change my sentiment.

After my experience with SAFEMOON, I will never, ever try investing into meme coins again.. or maybe I will with DOGE, if I got bumped, and unfortunately my head got hit.

Trading isn't a get-rich quick scheme. I hope that traders know that, and I think the ones who has this kind of thinking when it comes to trading are the new traders who they think that they can get rich in trading that easy. If only trading is that easy then all of us would've been rich by now. Now that we have futures trading, most of the traders especially the newbie ones are jumping, and trading on it not knowing the risks that they can face while trading on futures.

Well, it's good that the perpetrator got arrested with what he did. There are some people out there who did the same, or got even higher amounts of money, but didn't get arrested unfortunately. Overall, I hope this serves as a lesson for those newbie traders out there that don't touch meme coins because anytime soon, they will just diminish alongside with your money if you invested into it.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 03, 2023, 08:08:57 AM
Anthony Davis came out and dominated in game 1 for the Lakers against the Warriors. One of the all time Lakers playoff performances. The Warriors won’t be able to win this series unless they figure out how to contain Anthony Davis. He looks like a man among boys out there. I knew he was going to be a problem after how the Kings bigs were able to cause problems.

The answer to GSW problem is increase their shooting accuracy behind the which their main weapon since then. Anthony Davis is useless if they will not enter in paint area like what they are trying to do. GSW is consist of small players that keeps driving inside when they have no 3s but in this case it’s useless against a big man like Davis that is a monster.

Dennis schroder is also pain in the ass by disturbing the gameplay and ball movement of GSW. I think they need to solve their problem foul that easy being given away and blocks that Davis did to them. GSW has a solid center too. He is the key on stopping Davis annoying defense and offense.

Nice game btw.
They've made 21 threes which is way beyond the average number of threes the Lakers are giving to their opponent which is 12. I don't think that the shooting accuracy is the problem on this game.

It's the free throw that's the problem in Game 1. Look at the difference on both teams when it comes to free throws. Lakers shot 29 free throws, made 25 of it while the Warriors on the other hand had only 6 free throw attempts and made 5. I mean the Warriors could've won this game if only they've had more free throw attempts. As for containing Davis, I guess Green can do it, and I believe that he will guard him more in Game 2. It's just that Green got into early foul trouble that's why he didn't guard him that much. Wiggins will focus more on Lebron while Green will focus more on Davis with Looney in the paint.

Davis on the other hand is a monster in this Game 1. He is the 4th player behind Shaq, Wilt, and Elgin Baylor who got 30+points, 20+ rebounds & 5 assists in a playoff game. Well, Looney played really good as well as he got 23 rebounds, and it's his 4th straight game where he got 20+ rebounds in the playoffs. Schroder was amazing as well, but what I'm surprised the most is when Vanderbilt decided to chase Curry. We know Vanderbilt as an elite defender, but I didn't expect that he can cope up with Curry's speed.

Overall, it's a good performance still for both teams. Lakers being a good defensive team allowing the Warriors to shot only 6 free throw attempts, but on the other hand they've allowed the Warriors to had 21 threes made. Both teams had to make some adjustments. Warriors to draw more fouls, and the Lakers to at least lessen their productivity in threes.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the ways to learn lesson in easy ways on: May 03, 2023, 07:38:59 AM

he also did like many people do in greed of making fast and easy money and invest whatever coin is down(cheap) or trending. then i told him some lessons i learned in hard way like don't send your crypto to anyone it maybe scam, never invest listening to others, buy low sell high, never gamble with crypto and fiat also, etc.
You did your best in informing him on what is Bitcoin etc. and you're a good friend I guess because you're concern about your friend. You can't blame yourself he made that decisions, and people especially newbies only learn when they experienced it.

but after some days he came across a youtube video, video was live about tesla and elon musk giving away millions in bitcoin, the scam is like this: send 0.01 btc and get 0.02 btc back. I previously told him don't send crypto and there are many scams, but he didn't followed it and sent some amount of bitcoin and after some hours he realized that it was a scam!
Some typical shitty scams in the house. Cheesy
Anyway, I've seen this multiple times already not only in Youtube, but in different social media platforms. So many times already that I can't even remember how many times I've seen this type of scams. Unfortunately, there are still some newbie, greedy, and ignorant investors who are falling into this kind of trap.

the question is how can we try to save newbie's from scams in crypto verse, we and many youtuber are saying that don't send bitcoins, there are many scams, etc. or we should not tell and left them to learn the lesson in hard way, I already listened many people those are in crypto for a while they said many things like don't be greedy, stay away from free crypto, etc. but i just listened and not applied and got scamed one time.
Like @Poker Player said, you can't save them at all.

For me, I believe that in investing, investors will only learn if they experienced getting scammed. I might be lucky that I'm one of the few people who didn't fall into these type of scams when I was a newbie, but for sure there are many newbies out there who are still falling into scams like this because of their greediness. They always see Bitcoin as a rich-quick scheme which is very wrong.

If people experienced getting scammed, that's the time that they will realize what they did was wrong. They will make some adjustments, they will learn after that in order for them not to get scammed again. Learning really is very expensive, and that's what I believe. There's no way for newbies to save them when they're starting unless they have a mentor on their side constantly giving advice for them in which assets or which coins should they invest their money with.

On the other hand, there are many success stories of friends who went into business together and succeeded to together. If you have ever gone into business with a friend, what were your biggest concerns and how did work through it.
What you shared isn't happening to every business partners out there. In fact, I don't see anybody who will just run away with all the money the company has without any deep reason at all.

I mean in reality, we don't see this thing happening more often especially in those huge businesses already. I'm not a business minded person that's why I don't know some of the concerns the business partners are facing, but for sure trust is the main concern. Like you said, your partner can be your partner, but anytime he/she can be your enemy in an instant, and betray you. On the other hand, I assume that these business partners are good businessmen as well, so if one ran away, the other can just rebuild his business, start from scratch on his own since he knows what to do already.

Ohhh I remember one small business that I had with my relative. I will just share it here. We tried to build a small business. At first, it was a profitable business, and we are profiting big, but that profit didn't last for even a month because after 3 weeks, he used all of the money that the business had to buy some vices for himself. Unfortunately, I'm not the one who's holding the money that's why it ended up as a loss.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 03, 2023, 01:25:23 AM
Joel Embiid is the winner of this year’s MVP award. I personally don’t think he had a better year than Jokic, but I’m glad Jokic didn’t win it again. The NBA always gives people the MVP too early and leads to them getting snubbed later. I think that’s what happened to Jokic this year and giving the MVP to the ‘next up’ guy is why Rose stole one of LeBron’s MVPs and same with Nash stealing one from O’Neal. I could go on and on. Hopefully this Embiid MVP (which is more like a lifetime achievement award in this case) allows them to break that cycle and start giving the MVP to the player that had the most dominant season instead of the next superstar.

Yeah, it's good to see Jokic not winning the MVP this year, I'm not totally against him, but there were moments where in the MVP was announced to early as you have said. Even as early as Malone stealing one from MJ and then MJ came back in revenge to win the NBA finals.
The final games of both Jokic and Embiid has been the deciding factor IMO.
In the final games, Jokic sit out, and didn't play because of injury while Embiid is out there carrying his team. I guess that's the reason why Embiid has picked the winner. I mean in most of the regular season, we don't know who will be the MVP because both of them are playing very well. It's just that Jokic got injured, sit out in the final games of the regular season, and Embiid is still playing. Anyway, I won my bet on this one big time. Cheesy Congratulations to Embiid as well. Still Larry Bird is still the last player to win MVP 3x in a row back in the '80's I think.

Looks like the front office of the Grizzlies have enough of him already. His destroying the reputation of the team with his trash talks, and I guess we will all agree if I will say that he's the one who trash talks the most in the whole Grizzlies roster, but isn't converting it into stats, and still performing very awfully all throughout the season, and in this last playoffs against the Lakers.

Nevertheless, now that we know that the Grizzlies will not get him again, I wonder which team will try to get him? I hope that the Warriors will get him.  Cheesy Cheesy I mean Westbrook and Beverley became teammates in the Lakers at the start of the season, and we know the beef between the two of them back a few years ago. Don't take what I said very seriously because I don't think that the Warriors will get him anyway. Overall, I'm excited on which team will try and get him after what happened.

Basically you're saying that you can earn passive income thru mining?
It's possible since you will not work when the mining rigs have been set already. The question is:
1. How much will a mining farm will cost you. If you want to build a mining farm, you need to work in order to have money to build one.
2. How much knowledge you have in building a mining farm? Of course if you want to enter into something, you need to know it right?

The profitability of Bitcoin mining depends on some factors such as electricity costs, the type of rig that you're using etc. etc. I'm not a Bitcoin miner, and will never be because of high electricity costs here in our country, but if you think that Bitcoin mining will give you money passively then you're wrong because you need to be active in order for it to be working for a long time. You need to look at it most of the time. You need to calculate your profitability as well whether you're profiting or not.

If you're thinking of passive income, dividends is the closest one to it. Yes you will be needing huge sum of money, and you need to work hard for it as well, but when you have the capital already, and you already know the stocks that you will be buying, you don't need to do anything after that. Just buy the dividend stock, and just wait for it to give dividends. That's passive income.

When I got my 5000th post, I also thought of making a thread like this, but didn't do it. Also I thought about it again when I reached my 6000th post, my 7000th post, my 8000th post. Also when I reached the 1000 activities, 1500 activities, and 2000 activities. I always thought of thinking about it when I reach certain milestone, but it wasn't necessary for me to make it because I know that there are some people who already achieved it, some got even higher, and yet they didn't create a thread like this.

1000 posts is very easy to achieve IMO. I've seen users here who have an average of 100 posts per week. They only need 10 weeks to achieve that more or less. Of course most of their posts are just one liners, and I'm not saying that my posts are at of high quality, but they aren't contributing that much to the topic.

Anyway, I guess you're just happy with your achievement that's why you created this thread, and I'm happy for you as well. I also thought that this is another way for you to get some merits as well, but don't get me wrong because there's already a thread that has been created where we can post our achievements here. You can just post it there instead of making a thread like this. Smiley Guess you need to lock this thread already?

I only had to come across this post to come to the conclusion that you belong on my ignore list and won't be receiving any merits from me:

Using Bitcoin is a hubby. Doing transaction with Bitcoin is fun. Bitcoin is now a way of life.
And I'd like to add that I've never given you a single merit since.  I had to check BPIP for that, so I spent more time in preparing to, and then writing this thread than you probably did patting yourself on the back.  Plus I don't sit on the board of bitcointalk.
Straight to the point!!.
You're kind of harsh to OP, but the quoted text that he posted made my day. Hubby here in our place means = husband, and I don't know in some countries. Bitcoin = Hubby Cheesy Thanks for quoting it. Smiley

A real bummer that the Kings weren’t able to win game 7 against the Warriors. I thought they were going to light the beam and end the Warriors legacy but it just wasn’t in the cards. Steph Curry showed why he’s one of the best of all time and they live to face the Lakers. That should be a great series to watch!

That goes to say that even if the Sacramento Kings are playing like elites, they are still an unexperienced team compared to what the Golden State Warriors have endured throughout the years to be like what they are now. It was not an overnight success for the team, they also had some moments being at the bottom and under the radar. I believe soon enough, the Kings will be as strong as the Warriors if they will retain their cores but I think these days, that will be too much too ask as there many factors that needed to be consider first.
That's why Draymond Green wanted them the Kings to be their first opponent in the playoffs. They might be the 3rd seed, but their experience in the playoffs is close to none. Who're the players who played in the playoffs in the Kings' roster? I guess only Barnes with the Warriors.

Overall, it's a good learning experience for the Kings, and to know that they battled the Warriors for 7 games is already a big achievement for them already. With this, I don't expect them to exit early again next season if the roster will still remain intact. As for the Warriors, it will be an easier opponent IMO. I think that the Lakers are an easier opponent than the Kings. Lakers might've been better after the trade deadline, but their coach is inexperienced. They might have 2 all-star players, but the Warriors have 4. Warriors IMO have better role players than the Lakers. Nevertheless, it would be an interesting match-up to watch with, but like I said the Warriors find this one easier than the Kings.

I believe the winner of Celtics - Sixers series will be the champion. Sixers got a huge advantage by winning the first game. Harden played one of his best games in play-offs and they won without Embiid.
If only Mike Breen is the one commentating that game, I would've heard the word "BANG!!! BANG!!!" when Harden hit that three in the final seconds of the game to regain the lead by 2. Cheesy

Harden might've played his best playoff career game in years, but still without Embiid, they will not win against the Celtics. There are instances where Robert Williams is just bullying people inside the paint, and getting easy shots, and if Embiid will not play in Game 2 again, they might abuse this one. On the other hand, this road win by the Sixers might've be a big advantage for them. Just look at the Heat, and the Lakers when they won in Game 1. Heat won in 5, and Lakers won in 6. This one road win for the Sixers might be a reason for them to win in this series in 6.

TBH, I would love to see the Celtics going into the NBA Finals again, but they're facing an MVP this season in Embiid (hopefully), and a former MVP in Harden. 2 MVP's in the same team, and if only Coach Doc Rivers will not choke on this one, I pick the Sixers to win in 6 games.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: May 02, 2023, 06:51:12 AM
We are now in the digital era, and who are the ones who can adopt it the fastest? The youth.
As long as they have all the tools, they're the ones who will flourish in this era. I mean look at the youths right now. In some countries, most of the youths already have the tools needed to have access to Bitcoin.

Youths are the ones who can adopt it easily because it will be easier for them to sink in the information compare to an old person or a senior person or even a young toddler. Youths are better when it comes to using technology compare to the old people right now.

We need to talk more about the benefit of Biticion in other to attract more youth because the majority do not know how this coin works.
If only some youths have time to learn about Bitcoin, they will be the ones who will let themselves in, invest, and use Bitcoin. I mean I don't like convincing people to use Bitcoin blah blah, but I'd rather let them give some tools that will give them lots of information with regards to Bitcoin, and I'll let them decide whether they're interested on it or not. Well, there are many tools online that an average Joe can help them learn about Bitcoin.

Benefits of Bitcoin? You can already find it on Youtube. Youths are spending lots of time watching Youtube, but instead of watching educational videos, they're wasting their time watching entertainment videos that isn't giving any useful information for them.
