Ginagawa kasi namin is after namin mag World Boss, pumupunta kami kaagad sa Phantasia Labyrinth 4F at pupuwesto sa mga posibleng dadaanan nila.

Cheesy

Gambling is bad... nothing more
~
Why on earth do people keep losing on something and they still wanna try?
Your question is like "Why on earth do people keep investing into an investment if they already know that it's a scam or kind of sketchy?"

Don't say people like all of them are losing on something because not all gamblers have the same experience. There are gamblers who are winning in gambling, but there are some gamblers who are losing money, but for some reasons they want to still try it. What's the reason? I don't know, but the possible answer is that they are addicted into it already that they can't stop themselves even if they wanted to.

You say gambling is bad, and there's nothing wrong in that because it's your opinion. On the other hand, even though many gamblers look gambling as a bad thing, there will be a few gamblers that will be saying that it is good for some reasons. It will only become bad if a gambler is making bad decisions that is related to gambling.
1783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 02, 2023, 07:38:20 AM
I just saw the news that one of the top rookies in PBA has passed away, Emmanuel "Boybits" Victoria. I was still quite young and didn't see his career days and that's why when I've seen this news it wasn't too big for me but after looking at a brief history of his career, it should be recognized since he's become one of the best rookies. For more details about the news:

No idea who the player was, but knowing that he played in the PBA and once been a rookie of the year, I guess it's still saddening to see a player passes away, but that's how life is. People come and go.

"Demolition Man" or "Lakay". Whatever you wanted to call him, but Danny Ildefonso is coming out of retirement, and will be playing on the Converge FiberXers as their 15th player: https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/danny-ildefonso-comes-out-of-retirement-suits-up-for-converge-a793-20230302?ref=home_featured_big

I mean, many are surprised with this move by Converge knowing he is already 46 years old, but it just shows that if a player whether old or young can still play, if possible give them an opportunity to play. Congrats to "Lakay".

2 games will be played today.
Columbian Dyip Vs. NLEX Road Warriors
NorthPort Batang Pier Vs. Magnolia Hotshots

Looking on the winner's odds, it isn't that attractive anymore because many bettors already know who will win on both games. On the first game, I will just bet on under 224.5 because I think that they will not reach that total score. On the second game, I'll bet on Over 209.5 total points. I'm thinking that they will surpass that score. Good luck to all bettors.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 02, 2023, 07:19:06 AM
Lakers took a win, but it's not as impressive as they are facing a SGA didn't play in the side of OKC, and he is their leading scorer.

Dennis Schröder took the lead from the Lakers in the absence of Lebron and AD.
Maybe not that impressive because they beat a team that's on the bottom right now, but a win is still a win and Congratulations to them.

I thought that Davis will play, but I didn't see him play. Overall, still a good win for the Lakers, and a very important win for them. I mean every win for them is very important for them to reach at least the play-in tournament. They are only 1 game behind 9th seeded team Jazz, and 10th seeded Pelicans, and only 2 games behind the 7th seeded Mavericks and the 8th seeded Timberwolves. With how the Mavericks are playing on their last games, I'm afraid they might go down from clinching to the playoffs to be in the play-in tournament.

Like Stephen A. I'm also optimistic with this Lakers team, and they have a high chance to clinch the play-ins or best the playoffs.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 02, 2023, 12:21:31 AM
What a frustrating ass Chicago Bulls versus Toronto Raptors game last night was..at least if you're a Chicago Bulls fan like myself.  I put a few bucks down on the Bulls feeling that they kind of hit their stride after signing Patrick Beverly and dropping Dragic, but man they blew several opportunities given to them by the Raptors.  Being up for a while, then pulling within 2-4 points several times in the 3rd and 4th, only to see some sloppy game play and silly mistake..not to mention just a lack of..I dunno, I guess talent.  The Bulls are the more talent team, at least more talent starting 5...shouldn't be losing to the Raptors smh.
It is what it is I guess. I mean we've seen upsets in NBA already, and this one's no difference. Try and bet again because the Bulls (your team) will be facing the Pistons, one of the bottom teams right now, but take note that the Spurs beat the Jazz yesterday, and the Pistons also beat the Warriors on the road. Good luck. Smiley

Here are my bet's for today's ballgame:

Miami Heat - Philadelphia 76ers - Philadelphia 76ers
- The Sixers want a revenge because they lost to them a few days ago. I think they will get this one on the road. They've made some adjustments already for sure. If they lose "again" to the Heat, then there's a problem already with the team. They might lose though if Embiid will not play because currently, he is questionable to play.

Oklahoma City Thunder - Los Angeles Lakers - Los Angeles Lakers
- The Lakers need wins, or they will not make it into the play-in tournament. They must play and win even without Lebron and Russell. They need somebody that can step up offensively, and there are some players who are capable of doing that. Davis is one, but he needs another one like maybe Beasley or Schroeder. I think they will win on this one even on the road.

Portland Trail Blazers - New Orleans Pelicans - Portland Trail Blazers
- The Pelicans right now are on a 3 game losing streak, and they are playing on the road where they only have 10-21 record. Blazers on the other hand have 17-14 home record which is slightly better. I also think that the Blazers need this win after that loss against the Warriors yesterday.

Good Luck to all bettors. Smiley

Mental Fortitude? Holding it thru multiple bulls and bear? Possible
I also thought that the owner lost his private keys to this wallet, but I just looked at the transaction and there is one 3 hours ago.

There are some who are saying that the owner might have lost his keys or the owner is dead etc. etc. At least try to visit the Etherscan address to see that there's a transaction that just happened hours ago. LOL!!

At first, I only looked at the token holdings and the coins there are already worth ~$32,000. I looked it for the second time and I saw that huge amount of Ethereum up there. Cheesy I think the best reason why this Ethereum holder is still holding that huge amount of Ethereum after multiple bulls and bears is that, his/her target selling price isn't reached yet. Maybe his/her selling price is $10,000 per Ethereum and he/she is just patiently waiting for it.

Trust and Patience at it's highest. Kudos to the owner of that wallet. Cheesy
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Neither Good or Bad on: March 01, 2023, 02:07:43 PM
Gambling is bad for the person when they lost money on it. Gambling is bad for the person if they have changed from a good person to a bad person. Gambling is bad for those people who lost their savings because of it. Gambling is bad for those people who made bad decisions while doing it.

Gambling is good for those who enjoyed playing the game and doesn't think about the winnings. Gambling is good for those people who sees gambling as a stress-reliever and not a way to earn more money. Gambling is good for those people who are entertained whenever they are doing it.

I just like the word that you used OP which is "perception". It really is the reason why gambling for others look so bad and for some, it look so good. I think I can connect gambling with Bitcoin. There are some people who sees Bitcoin as a scam because they got scammed by some scammers out there. I mean Bitcoin is just a currency and we can consider it as a neutral thing, same with gambling.

This is why I cringe whenever I hear or read stories of people who blame gambling for the loss of their entire life's saving or some negative consequence.
~
They blaming gambling because they have made bad decisions.

Well, it's the nature of a person to blame something if there is something wrong happened to them. I'm not saying that all of us are doing it every time, but there is a time on our lives when we blamed something because of our wrongdoings. It's the decisions of these addicted gamblers that made them lose their money, and not gambling itself.
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 01, 2023, 01:37:29 PM

Maybe against a low team, this Lakers will have a good chance to take a win without the injured Lebron.

Maybe but let's see.

As per the latest news, Lebron will likely miss at least two weeks, and that's a lot of games for the Lakers to play.
https://www.nba.com/news/report-lebron-expected-to-miss-extended-period-with-foot-injury

I hope they will still win even without LeBron, but a team that loses its best player is not the same, just like the Warriors not having Curry.
It will be hard for them to win without him.

Some sources says that Lebron might be out for 2-3 weeks and Russell on the other hand, is also injured and is on a day-to-day currently. Let's say the worst scenario happens and Lebron will miss 3 weeks. That will be 10 game starting tomorrow until the 22nd of March and on that span, they will be playing ten times. On that 10 games, 5 are against the top 8 teams currently (Memphis, Golden State, Minnesota, Phoenix, and New York) and the other 5 are against bottom teams (OKC, Toronto, Orlando, New Orleans, Houston). On that 5 bottom teams, Toronto and New Orleans are trying to at least get a play-in spot. Overall, most of these teams are fighting for either a playoff spot or a play-in spot so expect that they are hungry for wins.

Now for the side of the Lakers, it will be a hard 3 weeks for them especially without Lebron and Russell (hope he will come back soon). On the other hand, I'm not underestimating the Lakers, and I believe that they still have tools to get some wins, but it will be hard for them especially now. Either way, I expect the best for the Lakers, and I hope they can still get a play-in spot after this regular season.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 01, 2023, 01:20:38 PM
I thought that was money in the bag for Meralco but I'm wrong. What a comeback for the Gin Kings and that 2.5 ML odds at the half is quite tempting if you are a Ginebra fan because like what the commentators said, you can't sleep on them as they can be explosive anytime. The only consolation on that game is i won my over 217.5 on that game which i thought I'm also going to lose since the third quarter was a low scoring quarter and also thanks to that late three by McDaniels, that saved my day.
The Meralco Bolts are in the league in the first 3 quarters. Ginebra is trying to take the lead, but when they are only trailing by 1 point, Meralco will make a way to increase their lead again.

That changed in the 4th quarter when Ginebra took it over. Standhardinger and Brownlee lead the whole 4th quarter offense that eventually, lead to their victory. Brownlee scored 29 points, but the one who really carried the team until the end is Standhardinger, and he finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. For a local player, you don't expect that stats because most of the time, imports are doing that, but we've seen that a local like him can do what imports can do as well.

I lost my bet because I thought that the Bolts will continue with their winning streak. On the other hand, after playing for 744 straight games, LA Tenorio missed that game for the first time because of an injury, and because of that, the streak has ended already. Hope he will recover and help his team on the playoffs.

Today I purchased some fresh fruit, a loaf of good bread, good quality milk and 2kg of chicken drumsticks for my German Shepherd (he eats human food only) and the cost was close to $50.
I smiled when I saw that you're giving you have a budget for you doggy.
As a dog lover, I always love if I saw other dog owners giving the care the dogs are needed. Always take care of you and your dog and wishing that doggy a long life. Smiley

I would be curious to read of the experiences others around the world are having in regards to their cost of living.
The cost of living here in our country didn't increase that much compare to other countries, but the salary of employees here especially those who are earning minimum wage on a daily basis are having a hard time budgeting their salary.

Prices of goods and other things went up, but salary still isn't enough. The minimum wage increased from $9.75 to $10.35 and that's on the capital of our country. In some provinces, the minimum wage is lower, but the prices are lower as well. Point is the salary of an minimum employee here in our country isn't enough or barely enough for a family to feed.

With this, I've seen some people who are eating twice a day instead of 3. There are some who are budgeting their money really tight to the point that they are lessening the food that they're eating. Worse is that, there are some who are begging on the streets already which is quite unfortunate. I can say that I'm fortunate that the increase of goods and other things here in our country didn't affect me that much, but I admit that the times I'm putting money to my emergency funds decreased. Still grateful.

I live in an iland called MINAMA, over here there is no electricity, major road, or boreholes we all use the water from the river and it's affecting us, but that's not my problem,  my problem is I'm not always online on this forum because there is no light and no were to charge my cellphone so I always manage my battery. The only place am charging my phone is my neighbor's place, now am tired of going there to charge my cellphone, so what will I do so I can be more available on this forum?
Keep some money in order for you to buy some solar panels. You said that you don't have electricity right? At least save some money for that so that you will not get tired of going there just to charge your phone. I guess that's the first step for you to be more online in the forum. I will not suggesting this one, but I'm thinking that you might want to find a new home where there's electricity or at least you will have more access to your daily necessities such as water, food, electricity etc.

I managed to post this thread because I traveled, we normally use canoe 🛶 to go to the market or traveling
Ever since I join this forum I have learned a lot about bitcoin and how people become rich through bitcoin investment, I am very much interested in bitcoin investment and I am willing to invest no the risk.
You're only looking at the positive side of investing.

Take note that in investing, there are investors who are becoming rich, but at the same time, there are people who are becoming poor because of investing in Cryptocurrency.

You said that you learned a lot about Bitcoin already. Why don't you just buy Bitcoin, store it on a hardware wallet and just keep it. You said that you are only using phone to access the forum right so I assume that you don't have any computer at all. I don't know if there are some trusted mobile wallets right now where you can just store it there. Maybe Trustwallet can be a good temporary storage of your coins.

What more do you want? You want to learn more? Just browse this forum or try researching or watching videos on Youtube. I'm thinking you don't have the buying power to buy Bitcoin am I right?
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 01, 2023, 06:55:40 AM
Any surprise by the Lakers taking the halftime lead?

Or anyone here willing to make a bet for them at ML currently at 2.60?

And also the Nets taking a 10 point lead against Giannis lead Bucks and the winning streak is on the line tonight against a new Brooklyn team.

Memphis Grizzlies were sloppy during the first half so it wasn't really surprising that Lakers were to take a slight advantage, Grizzlies are in a much comfortable lead now with 9 points heading into the 4th Quarter, I didn't take the bet and I really wouldn't have considered it a worthy bet imo though.
It wasn't the Grizzlies only that was sloppy on the first half, but got the victory.

I thought that Giannis will not play on the Bucks tonight, but he played and just dominated against Claxton and the whole Nets team as if he didn't have any right hand injury at all. He scored 33 points and got 15 rebounds on only 28 minutes of playing. The Nets can't protect their double digit lead in the 1st half, and got destroyed in the 2nd half scoring only 42 points against 66 from the Bucks.

Aside from the Bucks, the Warriors as well had a double digit deficit after the 1st half, but they dominated the 2nd half and got the victory on their home. Fans are happy, I'm happy, Coach Kerr is happy, players are happy. I wonder why Coach Billups didn't make any adjustments on the 2nd half.

Anyway, here are the results of my bets.
Toronto Raptors - Chicago Bulls - Chicago Bulls - LOST
- The Bulls had it and got the lead, but I guess they ran out of gas thus, losing to the Raptors on the road. Good game still

Oklahoma City Thunder - Sacramento Kings - Sacramento Kings - WIN
- The Kings got a double digit lead in the 1st half, but the Thunder are able to make some small runs on it. One time, they are tied at the 8 minute mark of the game and after that, the Kings just dominated the Thunder thus, winning the game on the road. Good win for me as well.

Brooklyn Nets - Milwaukee Bucks - Brooklyn Nets - WIN
- I really thought that the Nets can break the streak of the Bucks knowing that they are up double digits after the first half, but I was wrong. Giannis just dominated the whole Nets team, and my risky bet lost.

Golden State Warriors - Portland Trail Blazers - Golden State Warriors - WIN
- I already put a bet here before the game and while watching it, I again put another bet on them so I put 2 bets on the Warriors, and I didn't regret it like their last game where I bet to the Timberwolves. Lucky, lucky.

How's your bets? Anybody coming out with profits today? Cheesy.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 01, 2023, 06:17:12 AM
The Warriors also won their game against the Trail Blazers. They are down by 23 but got it back at a long run in the 3rd quarter. Klay, Poole, and DiVicenzo, these guys never gave up and it's a rewarded effort.
A few years ago, the Warriors are known for being the kings of 3rd quarter, and they just showed it again on this one.

From down 23 to win by 18. I'm just lucky that I risked it and bet on the Warriors when they are down double digits in the 1st quarter. They just shut down Dame because he is dominating at the first half, but they locked him on the 2nd half, doubled him when he hold the ball, and because of that his presence on offense didn't felt on the 2nd half. The Trail Blazers scored only 40 points in the 2nd half, and that's really low.

Coach Steve Kerr is known for being very good when it comes to 3rd quarter. They made some adjustments that helped them win on the 2nd half. Warriors are now 25-7 on their home. DiVincenzo is becoming a factor for the Warriors offensively now that Curry isn't playing. He got 21 points and 5 threes on this game. Poole, Thompson and DiVincenzo combined for 73 points and all of their starters + Kuminga are in double figures.

A good win for the Warriors, but their next game is hard as well because they will be facing the Clippers. The good thing is that it will be on their home so the winning streak might continue.
1794  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: MIR4 NFT game? on: March 01, 2023, 06:09:59 AM
Nagpunta pala ako last week sa isang lugar at nakita nila ako naglalaro Mirpor sa cellphone, mga bata nagtatanong kung may kita pa daw ba. Sabi ko meron, gold is the key.
Well, dun sila namulat pagdating sa paglalaro.

1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 28, 2023, 02:42:47 PM
1/3 for me.
Pelicans also lost their game against the Orlando Magic. They may also be trying to pave their way for a play-in spot.
With Zion, they are a top team, but without him, they are just an average player.
They are now on a 4 game winning streak and also they are 2 games below 500 already. The once top seed on the start of the season are now on the last spot of the play-in tournament.

One player out because of injury already has a huge effect to the team. Anyway, they need to get wins right now to at least get to a play-in spot before Zion comes back. If Zion will come back, and they are on the play-in tournament, I think they can get the 8th spot at best.

Here are my bets for tomorrow's ballgame:

Toronto Raptors - Chicago Bulls - Chicago Bulls
- With how the Bulls are playing in their last 2 games and with DeRozan coming back, I think they can steal one on the road. Just let Lavine and Derozan do the scoring, and Caruso and Beverley will do the defend.

Golden State Warriors - Portland Trail Blazers - Golden State Warriors
- I already made a mistake by not betting on them against the Timberwolves on their home. Now I will not making that same mistake again. Cheesy The Warriors have one of the best home records right now and with how they played on their last game, I think they can still do it again even without Wiggins and Green (probable).

Oklahoma City Thunder - Sacramento Kings - Sacramento Kings
- SGA is ruled out on this game, but on the other hand Fox is questionable, but weighing how impactful it is if both of them aren't playing on their respective teams, I think the Kings can still get a win on the road. They still have pieces like Sabonis, Monk, Huerter and Murray to get the win.

Brooklyn Nets - Milwaukee Bucks - Brooklyn Nets
- I just don't want to say too much on this bet of mine. I just felt for a second that the Nets might break the winning streak of the Bucks. Well, the chances of me being wrong is high knowing how good the Bucks are playing right now, but I just took a risk and will not regret if I lost to it. Smiley

Good luck to all of us  bettors.
1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: February 28, 2023, 01:34:30 PM
If you were told the outcome of a soccer match, hours before the match was scheduled, and you were assured that it would 100% win, how much would you be willing to bet on it? Assuming it was a 100% can’t lose situation.

Assuming you had millions of dollars that you could put on the match, where would you place the bets? Bookies often limit players. How could one successfully place millions of dollars in bets without drawing up suspicions or having their money frozen? Just curious.
Told by who? A stranger? An insider? I mean the person who told to you the outcome of the soccer match is already a big factor whether you will risk or not.
If it's a stranger who told to you, why risking your million dollars into it.

Okay since it's only a hypothetical question, I will give a hypothetical answer as well. I guess putting it on different gambling websites is the best option. A million dollars isn't a small amount, but dividing it will lessen the suspicions to you as a gambler. Using different usernames and email might help as well.

I once read a thread about someone who bet millions of dollars just because of a small profit with low odds of no more than 1.05 and he was sure he would win and could win the match, but in the end he lost, learn from that experience so you don't easily trust other people when betting , even though the results are told by someone or even the dealer, so the most important thing is to play with your own analysis at your own risk because even if it is 100% accurate I will not bet on anyone's words
That's a different topic.

On this one, it's only a hypothetical question, and who in the hell will risk their million dollars and gamble it just because a stranger is telling the outcome of the match hours before it happen. With the one you are saying, it really did happen because of his confidence that the team he bet will win, but it didn't happen. Well at least we learned something from that. Experiences and realization really is expensive aren't they? Cheesy

Bolts ML @2.06 vs Ginebra Kings

Japeth Aguilar won't be plying still while LA Tenorio is not yet fully recovered so i think this is a good bet ticket.
These are the odds of both teams on Stake:

On the first game, with how Phoenix made an upset and won against Converge and with how ROS is playing right now, I guess betting on Phoenix is a good pick here and it's quite attractive. If they won against the ROS, their chances of securing that 8th spot will be higher since they will have 4 wins after that against the current 9th spot NorthPort which only has 2 wins. On the other hand if ROS will lose on this one, their chances of getting to playoffs will be lower and they might get eliminated.

On the second game, if Meralco will win on this one (which they have a chance knowing that Japeth and LA might not play), correct me, but they might get the 5th spot over Ginebra and they will fall into 6th spot. The Bolts are on a 2 game winning streak right now, and with that huge win over the Hotshots, they might carry the momentum and defeat another SMC team. On this one, I will take the risk and bet on Meralco.

Good luck on your bets. Smiley

How did Miami pulled out a victory last night against Philly ? The bookies were all over 76ers as the odds were dropped around 1.60 before the game started. I'm sure a lot of bettors were burned last night with Philly as Miami was simply after 4 defeats in a row ? but the sketchy thing about their L is that they played against top 5 teams of defending the ball and rim so that's why they struggle. With 76ers the story is not the same and we saw Miami last night dominating the game because Philly doesn't protect the ball or the rim as efficient as other teams.

Yes, but in any case, Miami is also a good team, they just had this inconsistencies from their stars. But when they play good, like Jimmy Butler, they can pull this win, even on a good team such as Philly.

Kevin Love contributed as well with 8 points but it was enough.

Philly though, even if they are going to win this game, might not cover the early spread.
They're still the Miami Heat that got the top seed team in the East years ago. Nothing or only few changes that has been done to their roster.

They still one of the good teams right now. I agree with what you said that they are just very inconsistent in their last games. Jimmy Buckets is still Jimmy Buckets who can carry the team and they also has Adebayo. If there is something lacking with the team, it's a 3rd scorer who can help the team. Kevin Love on the other hand who used to be a bench on the Cavaliers is now a starter on the Heat.

Looking at their roster, they are in need of wing defenders. Aside from Adebayo, they have Love and Cody Zeller as other big out there. Maybe this is another reason why they aren't winning that much. They are lacking of wing defenders.

I would love to, but unfortunately I will not do it.
I'm still at my mid-20's, and I'm very far away from retiring. I might prefer investing into different stocks that gives dividends overtime rather than just holding Bitcoin as my retirement savings.

The fact that Bitcoin is too risky and a very volatile asset is the reason why I will not considering it. At the moment, I'd consider investing into stock market more for the long run than into Bitcoin, or maybe I might hold a specific amount of Bitcoin for let's say a decade or 2 or even 3 I guess. I've heard some testnets on some projects, and they are paying the testers for testing the project. That's basically the new airdrop right now. It wasn't like a few years ago where it's way easier to register. Just fill up some forms, share or retweet some of their tweets and that's it. You're eligible in getting rewards.

I wanted to, but I don't have time to do some research on which airdrop projects are legit and which are not. Coingecko on the other hand, shared some projects that are making their airdrops somewhere this year. I will share the link of the article, and they also made a Youtube video regarding on it. Here's the link.

Overall, airdrops are worth it "if they will pay the users or the participants", but aside from that, it is just useless.
