Philadelphia 76ers vs Miami Heat
The Philadelphia 76ers (39-20) will visit the Miami Heat (32-29) tonight at Wells Fargo Arena. The 76ers are coming from a devastating loss against the Celtics. This is their comeback game after that loss.
After that devastating loss against the Celtics, they're feeling devastated yet again as they lost against the Heat on their own home court.
A circus shot by Butler to take the lead, a block from Adebayo on Embiid, and Harden fouling Butler. A sequence that made the Sixers lose the game. I just hope that the Sixers are ok and make a comeback after 2 straight losses.

Well, ever since the Chicago Bulls trade for Patrick Beverly, they seems to be a bit of a different team. Now it’s only been two games so far, as well as they played versus some pretty crappy teams, but you can just tell in their style of game of late, that they are a changed team.

The Bulls face off with the Toronto Raptors tomorrow, getting +4.5 points. I’m going to ride their hot hand and lay a few Satoshi down for this one.
They got one of the best defensive back courts now in the league in Caruso and Beverley. They can just lock down opponents guard if both of them are on the court. They are on a 2 game winning streak after they got Beverley and with DeRozan back in their line-up, that might've boosted the morale of the whole team.

Tomorrow they will be facing the Raptors on the road. The Bulls aren't that good on road and has only a 10-20 record, but the Raptors aren't playing good either even though they are on a 4 game winning streak, it's up against the bottom teams in the league currently.

Betting on the Bulls might be a good choice with this one. I will put a bet on them.

Big game for the Knicks tonight against the Celtics.  At this point in the season if they want a 4 or 5 spot they need to win games lime this at home.  Don't think many people are giving them a shot but I think they keep theor streK up here tonight and beat the celts at home.  The Knicks don't match up well against Philly and the Bucks but I actually think they match up well against the celts.  Maybe I'm wrong and they get blown out but they way they have been playing defense lately this one shoukd at least be a tight game.  Can't wait season is heating up finally.
The Knicks won 6 in a row right now, and they just defeated the Celtics without Jaylen Brown and Tatum isn't a factor to the team as well.

With Mitchell Robinson coming back, the Knicks are just dominating the paint. Outrebounded the Celtics 44-35 and currently, they are 3rd in Rebounds per game. They are only 2.5 games away from the 4th seeded Cavaliers and if they want to have a homecourt advantage, they must continue what they are doing especially now that they're complete with on injuries whatsoever. TBH, I underestimated the Knicks at the start of the season because of giving away so many players for Brunson, but looking on where they at right now, it seems like they just did the right thing. Well, hoping for the best for them.

Their next games will be against Brooklyn who is kind of struggling after the all-star game, the Miami Heat which just got a win against the Sixers on the road the again, the Celtics, but now on Celtics' home court.

Mayweather is getting it pretty bad in the news today for the lack of people showing up to his last fight.  That's sort of embarrassing and shows that people aren't really willing to pay to see him fight anyone no matter where he goes.  A long ways from the hype of the Conor McGregor fight.

I'm awaiting the results of the Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight now.  I didn't go crazy but tossed a few in for Jake Paul.  I like his troll act and think he's put in a ton of work to be able to compete at such a high level and knock out legitimate athletes.  I look forward to seeing him continue to try and get to a world title.
Mayweather fight with no one, recently he fight with Aaron Chalmers aka MMA fighter, the fight wasn't scored because each of them can't knocking out each other. I think Mayweather seems to have lose his hype, but many people are still cheering McGregor and Jake Paul, this might because Mayweather isn't a funny person.

Right, but he offers an explanation, the fight was not promoted as expected and they were just like 1 month of doing the social media promotions. In any case, it might be that Floyd is losing his ground now.

And the bad news is that he says he hurt his hands against Chalmers, although he has history of broken arms in the past, and with his age, it might take time to heal and it will be brittle the more he fight, he is nearing 50 years old.
When I saw the fight with little audience, I laughed a bit with it.
I mean we've always know that when Mayweather has a fight, there is always a crowd into it, but not on this one.

Promoted or not, I think Mayweather posted in his social media accounts that he has a fight against Chalmers right, and correct me with this one, but I know how a single post or tweet coming from a popular person like him can be shared or spread online, so I don't think that his explanation is valid. Unless he didn't promoted it in his social media accounts at all then I guess the explanation is plausible.

He doesn't just want to say that "I'm becoming less and less popular that's why it ended up like that." I guess the people have had enough of it already.
1804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectations for March?! on: February 27, 2023, 02:31:24 PM
That Blue line over the picture that I just share is the 200 daily EMA. A strong indicator to know whether a cryptocurrency or a particular stock market is on a downward or an upward trend. Right now, Bitcoin is above that EMA meaning it's on an upward trend. It tried to go below there once, but it bounces up again.

I think as long as Bitcoin will not go below that 200 daily EMA for the month of March, I expect Bitcoin to go up to even higher than $25,000 unless something negative happens that will affect the whole crypto market. My early prediction of $17,000-$25,000 might not happen anymore, but who knows. The current price of Bitcoin right now is within the range of my prediction.

1805  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: February 27, 2023, 02:10:38 PM
Money and education which one of these is advisable to achieve?
Both are important, but in our current way of living right now, money is advisable to achieve.
First of all, you necessarily don't need education in order to earn money. You just need skills that will help you earn money. Look at some of the businessmen right now. Some of the didn't finish their education at all. What they have are skills and experience, and look at them now. They are already a successful businessman.

They constantly say education is the key to success but in my country today many graduates don't have a job, and most of them are still fed by their parents, and that's not the way it's supposed to be.
Well, I will not blame those oldies that they also fed me this kind of thing where "you need to graduate in order to have a job" mindset is what's on their mind. That's what I think as well when I'm studying, but when I finished studying, I just realized that education isn't necessary in order for you to be a successful man. I'm not saying that you don't need to finish your education, but finishing it or not, you can still have a chance to be successful in life.

Presently now in my wonderful fatherland NIGERIA 🇳🇬 I can see the power of money.
Please any advice?
Nigeria, eh?

Currently, your country is suffering because of a corrupted government. What will I suggest to you is that, if you can leave Nigeria, and study then go. I've seen some people who studied outside their country and become successful after years of hard work. Yes I said that education isn't necessary right now, but I'm not saying that you don't need to do it especially if you really need it. If you can study outside your country then go. After studying, get some experiences that will help you in your future.
1806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I've been scared to invest in bitcoin on: February 27, 2023, 01:48:05 PM
I know volatility is a natural thing that can happen to any investment. However, it will be good to address this issue because from where I come from people are scared of investing in bitcoin, they feel its risky.
Many are afraid, but that's part of investing.
Either you will take the risk or not take the risk at all. Those who are taking the risk are the ones who are coming out successful and those who aren't will regret it. Just look at those successful businessmen right now. Do you think they didn't took the risk when they're starting to build their own business? With investment, volatility is a double-edged sword, and it will depend on you on how you will handle it. Volatility can give you profits, but at the same time, give you losses as well.

Personally,  I feel there should be an increased regulatory body which will help people like me not to be scared.
Nope it will not happen.
This is the reason why many wants to buy Bitcoin. It's decentralization feature is the reason why they like it. Many wants a regulatory body to it, but it isn't necessary, it isn't helpful at all.

My question is this, is it possible for bitcoin to be completely immune to volatility in years to come?
No it will not.

Look at Stock Market, Bonds, and even Fiat currencies are volatile. Bitcoin's volatility will remain and will stay like that. After all, may consider Bitcoin as an asset, and one nature of an asset is volatile.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 27, 2023, 01:19:22 PM
After all, it's a non-bearing game, but I'm very happy that both teams just fought like they are fighting for the final spot in the FIBA World Cup.

Gilas Pilipinas' only lead was at the 2-0 start, and didn't ever got the lead until the end of the game. They are down to as many as 25 points, but our Gilas Pilipinas team lead by Justin "Noypi" just carried the team, and gave Jordan a better fight. He scored 41 points.

Nothing to blame even with Thompson's missed free throws and not even Ray Parks' last shot. Maybe the intensity around the arena has affected them as well especially Thompson who didn't experience that kind of thing in the FIBA. Well, I'm pretty sure that every audience is happy with what they saw, and both teams gave them a good match-up so kudos to our team, Jordan and even Lebanon as well.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 27, 2023, 01:09:40 PM

They really change a lot when their rooster changed, it seems their trades are pretty much effective because they overhaul their rooster and get a good supporting cast to help them on their important run to reach their target. Its good to see them to reach on playoffs since this current rooster is now what we can say a title contender compare before.

Now the curse is on the Clippers because they have Westbrook. Two consecutive losses in overtime - that hurts. I guess the most important thing is the plays in the dying minutes; it looks like they are struggling in those moments. They should improve in that area, otherwise their ranking will slide down.
Curse? On what part? 2 consecutive losses only and you are saying Westbrook is a curse to the team already.

Maybe you just use the wrong words to it, but saying that Westbrook is the curse of the team is a irrelevant. I mean he's performing good on his last 2 games. Don't blame solely to him that's why they lost. On the game against the Kings, fatigue got them that's why they lost. In this game against the Nuggets, the Nuggets are simply a better team than them and knowing that they played on their home court where the Nuggets are the best on the home, they already have a high chance of losing.

I think now is the time to not blame Westbrook solely for the losing of the Clippers. After all, it's a team sport, and it's everyone's fault if they losses.

Congrats go to Dame on his career night with one of the highest single game scoring performances in NBA history. The craziest thing about the story though is how the NBA pulled a vial of his blood immediately following the game for blood testing. Dame said it absolutely killed one of the greatest moments of his career and was the first time he ever had to give blood for a PED test.
It's DAME time!!!!!!

Lillard is the oldest player in NBA history to score 70+ points, and the 8th player in NBA history to score 70+ points. It's just unfortunate that he's on a team where there is little to no chance of playing into the playoffs. His loyalty towards the Blazers is at it's highest.
1809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is there so much resistance for Bitcoin reaching $25,000 on: February 27, 2023, 10:36:58 AM
~
People see it as a psychological resistance. A price where people who bought below $20,000 might be taking profit on it. I mean if you bought at below $20,000, and selling on that price, you got a huge profit already.

There is a quote in terms of technical analysis that says "The more it tries to surpass that price, the higher the chance that it will surpass it overtime". I can't remember where I heard it or watched, but with what's happening right now, there might be a chance that in the next months, we might see Bitcoin going to surpass that $25,000 price resistance... or I might be wrong.

Over time, the sellers will be lesser and lesser at that price.

Does anyone of you thought that playing for fun helps you think better and win with less effort especially in poker than having the mindset of trying to win?
I don't where did I read this, but I saw a quote that has a "Don't chase money" on it.
Anyway, chasing for money is just a waste. I mean why gamble for the sake of money if you can gamble for the sake of fun right?

Gambling just to chase money will just lead you to bad decisions especially when you are losing, you tend to decide worse thus, letting you lose money even more. If you're gambling because it's your stress reliever then losing your money doesn't matter that much to you. As for me, I'm only gambling for fun, and it makes me even more excited to watch sports game (since I'm betting mostly on sports). I don't watch games that much if I'm not gambling.

Just don't chase winnings especially when it comes to gambling where there is a high chance that you might lose your money.

I don't think Giannis will play with his current injury. I mean it's his hand. How can he make shots, and get rebounds if his right hand is injured. On the other hand, the Bucks' roster is very deep to the point that even though Giannis will not play, they still have pieces to win the game. Add also the fact that the Bucks have the one of the best home records right now with 25-5, I think the Bucks can get this one even though CP3, Booker and Ayton can play.

And pretty much you are right about it, and I really think that Giannis needs time to rest and not play a couple of minutes in the game with an injured hand it could be bad if it gets worse and he can not play for the Play-offs of worst even the finals, and yeah they are in a secure spot where they don't need to worry anymore but still if they can get a win a winning game is certainly still needed,
There's a chance that he might not play in the remaining games for the regular season because of that injury, and just by seeing how the Bucks are playing without him, I guess they will just let him rest and recover from that injury instead of risking him and let him play. I mean the Bucks are still playing very well even without Giannis. We know that injuries play a big role when it comes to playoffs.

Warriors coming from behind to win against the T'Wolves, Klay Thompson carrying the team again with 32 big points. Nuggets coming back from a big lost against the Memphis and beat the Clippers in OT.
I guess I just underestimated the Warriors with this one. I put my bet on the Twolves on this game, and I regret it (a bit). Klay doing some Klay things, and all of their starters are in double figures.

As for the Nuggets-Clippers, the Nuggets bounced back after that humiliating loss against the Grizzlies while the Clippers suffered their 2nd straight loss. Jokic again had a 40 point triple double and still, the Nuggets are undefeated when he is having a triple double. Another MVP for him? I mean I would love to see him winning the MVP again for the 3rd straight time. When was the last time this happen? 80's with Larry Bird.

The results of my bets.
Anyway, here are my picks for tomorrow's ballgame:

Dallas Mavericks - Los Angeles Lakers - Dallas Mavericks @ 1.60 - Loss
- No comment on this one. They're just one of the worst defensive teams right now in the league, and how they can compete on the playoffs if they are playing like this. Having Kyrie and Luka isn't enough for the team to win. They need defense still.

Chicago Bulls - Washington Wizards - Chicago Bulls @ 1.57 - Win
- This is an easy one I think. With Porzingis not playing, I expect the Bulls to win on this one. They are playing better now with DeRozan back, and having Beverley on the roster might boost the confidence of the whole team.

Golden State Warriors - Minnesota Timberwolves - Minnesota Timberwolves @ 2.12 - Loss
- I underestimated the Warriors on this one that's why I lost. Cheesy

Who put their bets on either Phoenix or Meralco tonight? Share it here. Tongue

Not me, hahaha! I'm a fan of heavy favorite and usually if I place my bet I'm placing it with handicap. I didn't see that coming knowing that Converge is doing some good run, they are still on the good position but they needed the win to secure the next round spot, I'm not sure but Phoenix really did do everything to take this win away from Converge.

A very close game which probably put gave a huge profit for those who believe and take that big risk for Phoenix.
Well, Converge has already secured their playoff spot with their 6 wins, but even so, they must win on their next 2 games if they want to have a higher spot or at best, have the twice to beat advantage coming into the playoffs.

On the other hand, the final 2 games of FiberXers isn't that easy. They will face the Bolts first who are hungry to get wins because they are now at the solo 6th spot, and after that, they will face the Ginebra on their final game. Those 2 teams aren't that easy to beat the both of them are hungry to win as well for a better playoff spot. I don't believe there are some who put their bet on Phoenix before the game unless they are a fan of it.

We don't have any PBA game right now, but what we have is a game between Philippines and Jordan for the FIBA World Qualifiers.
Although this is a non-bearing game for both teams, it would be better if both teams will just give it all, and give the audiences entertainment. Here are the odds if you want to bet:

I think with how the Philippines played against Jordan, I have a feeling that it will be a high scoring ballgame thus, they might easily cover that total points.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 27, 2023, 03:10:24 AM
So let's see if James can pull this one out again in history for him.

A big achievement this season for the Los Angeles Lakers is being made with that comeback win. According to the current season record, teams are 0-138 this season when trailing by 27+ points. Not just because of Lebron but Anthony Davis and their best role players and teammates do a great job.

However, that achievement will surely much make sense to celebrate if they will keep establishing more wins as they badly need it to even make it to the play-in tournament which is for now, still need a tough work to make it happened.

This is what happens when your team focuses more on offense that you are lacking of defense.

They got the lead to as high as 27 points in the 2nd quarter, but on the 2nd half, turnovers, bad defense, bad rotation, too many and-ones, etc. The Mavericks can't stop that Lebron-AD duo out there. Well, they really are unstoppable especially Davis "when healthy". What's good about the new Lakers is that, both Lebron and AD already have enough support for their role players in terms of both defense and offense. Vanderbilt got a double-double 15 pts and 17 reb while Schroeder got 16 points. Some of their role players didn't score that much, but who cares. They just made a history against one of the worst defensive teams right now in the league.

I agree with what you said though that the Lakers are still a few games away from clinching at least the play-in spot so this win is nothing to them or at least it's not what they're focusing on. They're more focused on the remaining games and their adjustments that they will be making.

I'm trying to analyze what you're saying OP, and I have 2 things that I have in my mind after reading what you posted.
It's either you are just saying nonsense with this one, or I'm just dumb enough to not understand what you're saying.

The only thing that is significant with this one is the word "saga" which the OP used. I've been in the crypto space for more than 4 years already, and it's my first time that the word saga is being used with Bitcoin. Cheesy I don't know if I'm just ignorant enough to not see this word being connected with Bitcoin.

Overall, I'm kind of getting what the OP is trying to share with us, but this is just pure speculation as always. Revolution of losses, Bitcoin Saga, BTC been taken from the system or whatever terminologies they are, it's just pure speculation. To all newbies out there, don't take what the OP shared or at least just don't read it. It will make your head ache.

The hardship in Nigeria increase day by day the massive are suffering. The poor old men and women. That doesn't have access to bank are suffering. Just imagine a pregnant woman died in a hospital just because there was no cash the network was bad for transfer. Where are we going to. Our people are suffering they are dying our leaders should do something about it to me I don't think we have leaders anymore. The people we call our leaders have already failed us. Now it's time for election let's vote wisely let not suffer for 8 years again
I know how you're feeling right now, and we can feel it. We can feel it to the point that you are just making a thread here out of your emotion.

There has been lots of articles regarding corruption are being spread in the internet, and it looks like there is no solution still on what you're experiencing right now. It's very unfortunate to see people suffering from these corrupted government officials, but there's nothing we can do, but to just pray for your safety maybe.

Election time is time for you citizens to pick for a better leader. To pick a new administration that will help you and your country to what you are experiencing now. Use this power of you to pick a good leader, and maybe somebody move this to the Nigerian Local section if possible. Can't help you OP, but just stay strong.

Here are my picks for tomorrow's games

Milwaukee Bucks VS Phoenix Suns

The stake odds for this game are 1.65 for the Bucks and 2.30 for the Suns, right now Wesley Matthews, can not play, Giannis Antetokounmpo is doubtful if he can play while Landry Shamet, and Kevin Durant can not play for the Suns, so for me the I could surely go with the Bucks because even without Giannis the Bucks are doing great right now, so my pick is the Milwaukee Bucks,
I don't think Giannis will play with his current injury.

Anyway, here are my picks for tomorrow's ballgame:

Dallas Mavericks - Los Angeles Lakers - Dallas Mavericks @ 1.60
- A team who is one of the worst in defense against one of the teams that has good defensive players. I think the Dallas will take this one "IF" their big 3 will not play and even though 1 or 2 only will play to them, I will still pick the Dallas on this one.

Chicago Bulls - Washington Wizards - Chicago Bulls @ 1.57
- A low odd, but kind of attractive knowing that the Bulls right now has one of the best defensive back court duos right now in Caruso and Beverley. They just demolished the Nets on their last game and that might create momentum on this Bulls team. I will pick them.

Golden State Warriors - Minnesota Timberwolves - Minnesota Timberwolves @ 2.12
- The Warriors currently have a 23-7 home record (one of the best), but Wiggins will not play on this one and at the same time, Green is questionable so I think the Timberwolves will steal one on the road even though they only have a 11-17 road record.

Good Luck to all bettors. Hope all of us will win. Smiley

Can I ask you a question? If worst thing happens and your grandfather passes away, who will took the Bitcoins that your grandfather bought?

If grandfather dies after investing in bitcoins we will divide it between us. My family consists of my parents and grandfather and we three brothers and two sisters. I will share equally with my family.

Everyone pray for my grandfather that my grandfather may live long.
That's good to hear.

I guess the wealth of your grandfather is in good hands already once his time will come. Teach your family as well with regards to Bitcoin if you can. Smiley Teaching them might be a good start for them in their own crypto investment journey instead of just giving them the Bitcoins that came from your grandfather.

I'm a family oriented person (said it twice today already), so I always pray for other people a long life and so your grandfather. Take care of him and take care of yourself as well.

Second game now and it's a close one with Magnolia ahead by a shot 39-37, very low scoring ballgame. I won't bet for the winner but will bet for under 174.5 @1.89 as i think the low scoring trend will continue in the second half as Magnolia is known to be a defensive team.

That's a win! The total score was only 170 points. I didn't expect it to be a close game as Magnolia is such a dominant team during their winning streak. However, they experienced their first loss with their new import. It was a great game, and Cliff Hodge really played inspired, grabbing 8 offensive rebounds, which also makes him the best player of the game.

Tonight's games were a lot of fun! Surprisingly, both heavy underdogs won their respective games.
You didn't expect it to be a close game? I felt the opposite of it.
I mean it's a battle for the 6th seed, and it's one of the most important games for them because that loss will increase their chances of them facing the top 2 teams.

That game was very close, but not as close on the first 3 quarters of the game. There was one point where Meralco lead as many as 13 on the 1st half, but the Hotshots made a 24 point turnaround to get a double digit lead on the 3rd quarter and since then, it was a back and forth already. It's good that I didn't bet on this game and even the first one because I might lose my money if I did. Cheesy

Phoenix managed to snatch the game against Converge like what you said the game is too early and that early lead can be taken away once the opposite team rally back and bring that tight defense just like how Phoenix did, though it's a close game that snatch win from Phoenix give them that hope to continue chasing for the slot for the next round.
When I saw that Converge can't establish a huge lead against them on the first half, I already knew that it will be a close one. Nevertheless, I didn't expect to be this close knowing that Phoenix is a huge underdog on this match (just basing on the odds that I shared a while ago).

Since last conference, many are saying that this Serrano has a bright future already with the Fuelmasters because of how he played in some of their games and tonight, he showed it once again - scoring 28 points and that floater on the final seconds of the game to lead by 2.

Who put their bets on either Phoenix or Meralco tonight? Share it here. Tongue

Cheesy

The Miami Heat still can't seem to find a way to win, so I think staying away from this team is the right thing to do for now. Their next game will be against the 76ers, who lost today. I'm pretty sure they'll bounce back strong, resulting in a third losing streak for the Heat.
Their next 10 games will be a hard one as well.

On their next 5 games, 2 of that will be against Philly and another 2 will be against the Hawks that is currently having a new coach in Quinn Snyder. On their next 10 games, they will face Philly, Atlanta and Cleveland twice and the remaining 4 are against the Knicks, Grizzlies, Jazz and the Magic.

For me, this will be a hard 10 games for them especially to those top teams right now (Philly, Cavaliers and Grizzlies). The Hawks are just 1.5 games behind the Heat and if they will lose to both of that, the Heat might just went into a play-in tournament. Their remaining games will be very important, but with how they are playing right now and with their 4 game losing streak, I just don't know where the Heat will end.

Coach Spo must do something about his team especially now that they only have 21 games left.
