1481  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are a business, and you are the cash cow on: April 03, 2023, 01:51:45 PM
Well, it's obvious that they are a business because if they're not, I mean how would large banks survive without any revenue at all. I did a quick search on how they are earning, and base on one website, I saw this: LINK
Quote
Banks generally make money by borrowing money from depositors and compensating them with a certain interest rate. The banks will lend the money out to borrowers, charging the borrowers a higher interest rate and profiting off the interest rate spread.

It's almost the same as those lending applications that we are seeing in the crypto space like Celsius, NEXO, etc. but the interest there is just way higher.

The problem right now is that, people have been taught that the best way to save their money is thru putting it in a bank. These banks taught those people to save their money in them because it's the safest way of saving money. People in the past are the ones who had this thinking of the best way of saving money is to put it into banks, and it has been passed from other people. TBH, most of the people who are using banks don't know that they are being used as a "cash cow" because why will the banks teach it to them that they will use their money to lend it out to borrowers.

I don't know if there's any solution to it, but it's good that I saved money in a different way, and for a different reason because I'm not saving just for the sake of saving, but I'm saving so I have money to invest with, and I will never put any money on banks unless it's an emergency funds. On the other hand, I think there's still good things that banks are providing to their customers. I just don't know what they are because I'm not using banks that much. Cheesy Maybe the fact that you can get a loan from them as long as you have good credit is considered a benefit for the customer.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 03, 2023, 01:27:29 PM
Guys, Anthony Davis was a monster against the Rockets. He's got 40 points while Lebron also helped the team to win 18 points. They considerably have good assists and rebounds as well. And this is the AD that we're all wanting to see. He just needs to keep himself healthy and the Lakers from the pit going up then. And with another team that I'm talking about recently, the Knicks. They've just won as well against the Wizards. Brunson delivered again the team with 27 points!
We already knew that Davis is capable of giving his team these kind of numbers. It's just that most of us forget that he is doing it because in our my mind, what we often thinks about him is his injuries. He's the main guy back when he is on the Pelicans and carried his team to the 8th seeded a few years ago, but got swept in the first round.

He got 40 points while Lebron got a triple double. It's good that Lebron isn't focusing that much on scoring anymore because he doesn't need to TBH. He has reliable team members who can step up when needed. Players like Reaves, Russell, and even Schroeder, Beasley, and Hachimura can step up offensively especially Rui on this game where he got a double-double 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Right now, they're at the 7th seed, but only 0.5 games behind the 5th seeded Clippers. Their remaining four games will be against Utah (twice), Clippers, and Phoenix. I'm pretty sure that they can beat the Jazz twice, but they might be having a hard time beating Clippers and Phoenix, but if they manage to win on them, I think there's a chance that they can get the 5th seed. Of course it will all depend on the remaining games of the Clippers and the Warriors.
1483  Economy / Speculation / Re: I missed the bottom or i have time to invest on: April 03, 2023, 12:41:25 PM
~
here we can see clearly the bitcoin price has crossed the 200 ma and successfully retested and now it's up , according to technical it seems bullish and begining of bullmarket,
I am thinking to invest in bitcoin for 6month or a year, is it good price to invest ? i will make profit from this point?
or is it possible for price to go low then this?
According to some TA experts, the 200 EMA really is one of the indicators that they are using whether a particular market or coin really did change it's price movement, and in this case, it's above it already, so I expect that there is a trend reversal. Now you have lots of questions TBH, but I'll try to answer it (take note that I'm not an expert, but just an Average user here trying to share his opinions Smiley).

Is it a good price to invest? Yes I think if you will hold it for 6 months to 1 year.
You can make a profit? I guess so. I mean we don't have any crystal ball to say it accurately because even though we've seen a trend reversal on the price movement of Bitcoin, we might see it go down anytime.

and i DCA or just invest all at once and why?
I'd still prefer Dollar-Cost Average than going at once.
What if you don't have enough money left, and all of the sudden the price of Bitcoin went down. What will you do? I already tried that days before WHO announced the pandemic last March 2020. We know what happened to Bitcoin at that time. It went from $8k to $4k in just a matter of days. I missed that opportunity bigtime.

and please suggest some potential altcoins which have possibility to outperform this bull market please share your personnel though don't just share  some random shitcoins
and what is your experience in past halving ?
Those coins that has a low market cap tends to give more than what Bitcoin can give in terms of profitability. I mean I don't want to recommend a particular altcoin, but in a bull run, we always see coins going x2 or x3 or even x5 or x10 depending on the situation. Overall, altcoins can give more profit, but more risky.

is it beginning of bull market?
It might be. After all, this is also what happened after the 2018 "Year of Hell". Don't ask questions like this because we don't know the accurate answer for that. We are also waiting for it to happen, but like you we don't know when it will happen too.
1484  Other / Meta / Re: Can Bitcoin Talk forum launch its own coin? on: April 03, 2023, 10:39:03 AM
Now what's the use case of that coin OP if you can share what's on your mind?

I mean if you will create a coin, you must know what's the purpose of that coin right? I can't think of any use case of that coin at all. If for some reasons, they will really create a coin, how will it benefit the forum? Who will be the team behind it? Will our administrators have time to manage that coin? You said that you will ask the moderators and admins about it? Well, good luck I guess. Smiley

(It's guaranteed profit btw. And that's why all the Legendary members drive lambos ofc.)
Whenever I see the word "guarantee" in every investment, I always think that it's a scam because that's the word most of the scammers are using.
I'm not saying that Howeycoins is a scam just because they used the word "guarantee", but I'm just pertaining to that word. Smiley
1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for a beginner, a reality in a difficult time? on: April 03, 2023, 08:08:28 AM
At this time, is it possible for a beginner to learn bitcoin, where is it better, which courses are effective?
Do you think that the experts now, those who have lots of knowledge with regards to Bitcoin now, didn't start as a beginner?

All of us started as a beginner. Yes it will take time for an average person to learn Bitcoin, but as a beginner, the only thing that you can do is to learn, learn and learn. There are so many information online that can help you. Just do it step-by-step because you might get overwhelmed with lots of information that you can see in the internet. I got overwhelmed one time when I was studying because of so many information, so many terms and so many words that I don't know, but I took time to learn. Cut the story short, I learned the basics now, and I'm just happy that I learned it.

Where can you get information? I think many users here already sent some links that will help you, so I will not add anymore. What I can only say is that, watch Bitcoin documentaries on Youtube. That's what helped me back when I'm starting aside from the fact that I'm reading as well. Just take your time, don't think that there will be a faster learning curve unless you have a mentor that will spoon-feed you with information.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 03, 2023, 07:26:22 AM
This is heartbreaking again the fight was canceled we all want this fight to materialize, unfortunately, unforeseen events happen I guess we will wait for the rescheduled date, this is a developing story both camps will give us updates, I hope its just an APRIL fools day joke so far checking other news there is none but we'll see

Update: checking CBS boxing I guess its an April fool's day but very late posting this  Grin

You almost got me fooled there too if I didn't read the whole post of yours.  Cheesy

I mean, after the reported canceled bout of Inoue versus Fulton, I would believe this could also happen with Davis versus Garcia. Injuries could happen in their training camps so it's a possibility.

Pay per view price is not changing so I guess it is stuck at $84.99.
This is much higher than Canelo vs Plant fight $79.99 and just lower by $5 in the Pacquiao versus Mayweather fight which is $89.99.
I don't know if viewers will find it worth the price because they made a big trend in social media. I would gladly just wait for the replay instead of paying this and just use the money for putting my bet on Davis.
Well, many of the boxing fans are waiting for this fight to happen for a long time, so I guess people will save money just to watch this fight.

I'm pretty sure that this will be an exciting match knowing that both of them are undefeated, and at the same time, they are rising stars on the own weight class. At the same time, it hasn't started yet, but many are already saying that this fight would be a candidate for a battle of year, and I guess I might agree with them just by looking on how they fight in their careers. As of this moment, Davis is the -240 favorite, while Garcia is the +200 underdog.

For sure, I will put a bet on this one, but TBH I'm having a hard time picking which one should I put my money with because both of them really can just knock their opponents out.
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 03, 2023, 06:52:44 AM
Klay Thompson tried to play as a hero but he failed. Crappy play.
The biggest threat in 3-point shooting was so open they forget to think about him. If only it was Donte DiVicenzo who got the offensive rebound, the ending will be different.

I mean just look at that last play. 2.8 seconds remaining in the clock and Thompson got it back, and shoot it in a rush, but he was blocked by Murray.
What if he just thought about passing it to the best three-point shooter in the league?
2.8 is enough or maybe even less for his reload and then fire.
That could've shocked the whole Denver Nuggets Ball Arena or better, they will cheer for Chef Curry.
Very bad loss, they want it badly but cannot get it. I can sense a tiebreaker may happen at the 5th to 8th rank.
I also watched the game, and after that game, one of the cameraman focused the camera on Curry, and he is obviously feeling frustrated because of what happened, and knowing that he is free from the side, I would rather give the last shot to Curry than Thompson, and Curry has a faster release than him as well, so I expect that the remaining time is enough for him to make a final shot.

The Warriors are leading for most of the first half, and there was a time where they had a double-digit lead, but they can't hold that lead, and the Nuggets took advantage of it, got the lead, and winning the game eventually. One Nuggets player that stood out on this game was a rookie named Peyton Watson who only has 8 points & 5 rebounds, but his 3 blocks and some defensive stops against the Warriors was a big factor especially in the crucial minutes of the game.

Anyway, Splash Brothers only has a combined FG of 17/56, and only has 46 points. That's too bad knowing how good at them especially from threes where they only shot a combined 7/30. Well, it is what it is. Nuggets got their first win without Jokic. With how close the standings now in the West, I think I'll agree with you that there might be a tiebreaker in the 5th to 8th seed, but still it will depend on the outcome of their remaining games.

~
Good luck to all bettors. Smiley
Love this picks my brother but I may have to against one of those bets.
I will tail the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies bet but I want to take my chances for the Dallas Mavericks against the Atlanta Hawks.
Both teams will play as hard as they possibly could but I do believe the Mavs will force a win on this one.
~
Denver Nuggets - Golden State Warriors  - Golden State Warriors ML They will win, without a single drop of doubt.
Good luck!
Looks like the Mavericks lost again in overtime on a close one. If only McGee sank those 2 free throws in with 0.4 seconds left in the game, that would've give them the victory, but instead, it went to overtime, and eventually lost the game.

On other games, the Grizzlies destroyed my parlay as they lost to the Bulls 128-107. The Bulls just outscored them in the 2nd half 75-39 after being down 15 at the end of the first half. DeRozan and Lavine lead their team scoring 77 of the total 128 points, and on the other hand, JJJ lead the Grizzlies with 31 points while Morant got 17 point triple-double.

2 teams got disappointed tonight. Spurs winning on the road against the top seeded Kings, and the Trail Blazers manage to win on the road as well against the Timberwolves. Both Kings and Grizzlies lost tonight while the top-seeded got their first win without Jokic against the Warriors.

Anyway, I got 2/3 on my bets, and I hope that all of us won their bets as well. Smiley
1489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: @Active Members of Bitcointalk: Why have you created an Account here? on: April 03, 2023, 02:30:28 AM
Cryptotalk
Cryptotalk was a very active forum where many members made contributions but most of it has been spam, probably due to Cryptotalk incentivizing posts. Last year, posts stopped to be incentivized and suddenly, no one wrote posts anymore. I just wondered why my new topics didn’t get any replies anymore.
Cryptotalk is dead now.
Even when it was active, most replies were of very low quality. Very disappointing.
Many have said it already that Cryptotalk was indeed connected to Yobit.

I can still remember the time where Yobit launched a signature campaign here, and correct me with this one, but I think they also launched a signature campaign with Cryptotalk here? Nevertheless, it's pretty obvious that people there are just posting for the rewards. Nothing more, nothing less. I visited their website a few minutes after I created this post, and last post that I saw there was around 11 hours ago in an ANN thread.

Altcoinstalks
Altcoinstalks is very different from Cryptotalk as it's an independent forum, similar like Bitcointalk. I have presented quite a few researches on Altcoinstalk, but discussions haven’t been very insightful but more insightful compared to Cryptotalk, of course. Biggest disadvantage from Altcoinstalks: Activity has been very low and for many topics only few replies have been left.
Very big issue of Altcoinstalk as well: it is focused on Altcoins and many useless Altcoins such like Tron or Ripple are shilled. Criticism of such coins is bashed.
Not a good showing to push such fraudulent coins.
I created an account here just to try and experience what it is to be on that forum.
It didn't took me a day for me to leave that forum. Not only because of the fact that, the posts there were only one liners, but like you said, you criticize the coins, you will get bashed as well. I also don't want to read some wall of texts out there that's why I left that forum.

- why your decision to be active here was in favor of Bitcointalk
or
- how you detected Bitcointalk,
Well, at first, I didn't really want to have some discussions or share my opinions with other people, but as time goes by, I'm learning from them and at the same time, I'm sharing my opinions based on what I know, and that increases my knowledge into a particular topic.

Me being active in the forum is because of the fact that you learn here. Well, Youtube videos also helped me, but reading some of the opinions here really helped me a lot. I'm not a technical guy, but at least I know the basics. Also the fact that most of the reputable players that helped Bitcoin and crypto are here such as Satoshi, Hal, Sirius etc. etc. is one of my reasons as well.

How did I detected or know Bitcointalk? My friend introduced me, and from that on, I learn and learn and learn until I reach what I am today.
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 03, 2023, 01:33:57 AM
There's a rumor and report that Jeff Cariaso might be the new coach of Blackwater. This is a developing story and news but no confirmation yet from both party. Is it possible that this farm team might come to an end as a farm team?
Whether it's a developing story or a confirmed story, I guess there's no changes with the whole Blackwater team.

I mean changing a coach is good (thanks you shared it still) especially if you know that coach isn't helping the gain more wins anymore, but with how independent teams are being treated right now in our league currently, I don't see anything beneficial on it at all.

They get draft picks? Big companies will just fish it. They get new coach? Nothing changes because their roster is still an average one. Changes in the roster? This might be a good one, but when they saw a star player on that team, big companies will just get it. It's sad to see independent teams being like this for many years already, and I'm too young when this happens, but I would want to see PBA back to where it was a decade ago or even more.

There's also a rumor that might become close to becoming official that Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar might be activated in the Finals. Not sure though if it's on Game 1, 2, 3, and so on. If that will be true, although he's not more active on being an offensive player, a good back up for Christian Standhardinger and his presence at the paint is a big help for TNT attackers not to think of doing an aggressive move in the paint.

I will follow that story.
I've also saw this one already in some of the FB posts, but if they will activate him and let him play, it will be a hard time for the TNT.

I mean who in TNT can stop CStand? Aside from that, they also have Brownlee who can just shoot threes anytime he wants, and at the same time, they have Aguilar who can give his team 5-7 rebounds or more in every game. It might be too early for my prediction since the first game will happen on Sunday next week, but if nobody can stop CStand, Ginebra will win on this one in 6 games at least.
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you Think might aid the global adoption of Bitcoin? on: April 03, 2023, 01:16:01 AM
On the other hand, I think if the mindset of seeing Bitcoin as a legal tender rather than an investment or a get rich scheme will go a long way to aid the global adoption of Bitcoin.
It's possible, but what are the chances of most of the countries considering Bitcoin as a legal tender? At first place, the government isn't the one who are issuing or producing Bitcoin, so they can't control it, and that would be a problem for them in the long run. It's good that we are seeing one or two countries putting Bitcoin as a legal tender.

With regards to get rich scheme, it will all comes to how people are getting educated. If people got educated, they will realize that Bitcoin isn't a get-rich quick scheme.

What do you think could aid the adoption of Bitcoin?
Let's discuss please
Social Media, Internet, Education.

I think there are some, but these 3 are the main things that will aid global adoption of Bitcoin. Social Media, and Internet is very vital when it comes to spreading the word right now especially now that we are in a digital era, and people are spending 2 hours and 27 minutes per day (base on Google search) browsing different social media platforms. Just imagine on that span of time, they will saw an ad or a video with regards to Bitcoin. That's why for me, Social Media and Internet are 2 keys for Bitcoin to be used and adopted worldwide.

Education? No further explanation from that. We just need to educate people what really Bitcoin is, and let them realize what really it is.

Ano 'to?

[1] https://www.revolut.com/news/revolut_launches_revolut_chat_an_instant_messaging_feature_in_step_forward_to_super_app/

1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 02, 2023, 02:46:28 PM
The Dallas Mavericks are now in very delicate situation and there is big chance that they're not going to making the play-in at all imo, 1-5 in their last 5 games is just the were the damage was done, especially those back to defeat against Charlotte Hornets, you really just can't afford to lose those games, and not expect this kind of consequence.

Meanwhile Utah Jazz with a game less have a chance to catch up with them with a win against Brooklyn Nets, I'll give that 10th spot to Oklahoma City Thunder, I just hope they can count on SGA for these games, it's going to be relative easier with him on the court, although a lot of other guys have stepped up big time too.
With their lose against the Miami Heat, I already knew that the experiment was a failed one.
There are on a point where they are struggling, and in the off-season, I wonder what will they do when Kyrie decided not to sign on the Mavericks. Ohhh they really don't want to re-sign with the Mavericks at first place right knowing what Kyrie wants. Cheesy Good job to Mark Cuban, but they need to do lots of work on the off-season to gather better players.

As for the Jazz, they still have a chance if they will win on their final 5 games. They might get the 10th seed if they will make a 5-game win streak. Cheesy

Anyway, here are my picks for tonight's ballgame.

Oklahoma City Thunder - Phoenix Suns - Phoenix Suns
- There are no injured on the Phoenix Suns, so I expect that they will steal one on the road against the Thunder. On the other hand though, the Thunder needed the win more than the Suns needed it because a win for the Thunder might put them on the 9th seed (depending on the outcome of the Blazers - Timberwolves match). Overall, I'll go with the Suns on this one.

‍Atlanta Hawks - Dallas Mavericks - Atlanta Hawks
- I'm done betting with the Mavericks, and with back to back games, I believe that fatigue will kick out knowing that they will play back to back games on the road. I think that the Hawks will win against them on their home.

Chicago Bulls - Memphis Grizzlies - Memphis Grizzlies
- The Grizzlies might have a below .500 record on the road (like what most teams' record is), but the Bulls doesn't have a good home record at all with 20-18 (yes I consider it not good knowing that it's their home). I think that the Grizzlies will steal one on the road with this one.

Good luck to all bettors. Smiley
1494  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Supercycle? on: April 02, 2023, 01:46:03 PM
Is it possible to have a bull run for the next couple of years? I mean more people and companies start using bitcoin often and knowing there's a limited supply of it, the demand for the crypto will go up eventually. Do you think it's possible considering inflation and our global economy today? I know its a very volatile asset but what do you think?
Possible.

I mean we've known Bitcoin as a very unpredictable cryptocurrency. I guess it all depends on your beliefs towards the price movement of Bitcoin. If you believe in the 4-year cycle of Bitcoin, then you don't expect for a Bitcoin supercycle anytime. Now if you think that Bitcoin will one time break that 4-year cycle in the future, then it's possible that a Bitcoin supercycle will happen.

Overall, it's hard to know when because Bitcoin is unpredictable. We might seen those 4-year cycles happening in the past, but there's always a 1% or more chance that it might break that cycle thus, we might see Bitcoin going down for more than a year and vice-versa. As for me, I don't think that this will happen after how I saw the price movement of Bitcoin in the past.

1496  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 02, 2023, 01:24:03 PM
I'm wondering how long we'll need to do the savings? Who has already reached any significant level, are you still saving, or you can afford to live without any financial restrictions?
Save until we can save. I believe that saving would be helpful for every person. However don't save for the sake of saving. Save because you have a different reason. I just watched a video a few days ago telling that there are 3 reasons why a person needs to save. For me, there is no such thing as "significant level" because you don't know what can happen, or what you can do in the future.

1. A person needs to save for emergency funds. At least 3-6 months of emergency funds will be fine. The more, the better.
2. A person needs to save money because he needs to buy something that's expensive. A car, a house and lot. Something that will be helpful for the person.
3. A person needs to save money so that they have money to be used on investments.

Probably now I am thinking that I would not like to save all the time, I would like to reach the level at which I would be a wealthy person and I would not have to worry about money, but I have no idea when I can achieve this.
You are saying that because you didn't experienced anything that would cost you a lot of money. Trust me, if you experienced something that will cost you a very expensive amount, you will change your mind with that. Just pick on the 3 reasons that I shared above, and just continue saving. Don't stop. A wealthy person doesn't stop saving. They are saving because they either want to buy something that will help them, or they want to invest into something like into a business or something.
1497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 02, 2023, 09:14:28 AM
Bitcoin is great in means of anonymous transactions and getting away from the banks and government control, but the problem is, it's the exact problem why criminals are using it. And it's a pretty big one. I'm not saying that criminals use bitcoin more than fiat, but we all can see that illegal services are widely accepting bitcoin.
Anonymous? It's only pseudo-anonymous.
It isn't that anonymous compare to Monero because anybody can still track your Bitcoin address depending on the transactions that you've done in the past. Bitcoin used in illegal services? Nothing new. With Bitcoin being pseudo-anonymous, criminals, and bad people will utilize it so that they can get away from the government.

The problem here is that the system should have some way to fight these criminals because we don't want bitcoin to be associated with drugs and sex trafficking,  but the problem is, by solving these problems we should get rid of anonymity which is a pillar for the bitcoin technology, so it can't be done. And this problem might be a big obstacle in mass bitcoin adoption and regulations that are coming.
How can you fight these criminals if they are psudo-anonymous.
Also, include the fact that Mixing services are becoming more and more popular right now, and because of that, they can just get away easily because of these services. I'm not using that mixing services are bad in general, but we know that there are some bad people who are using it still.

So I want to hear your opinion: how to make bitcoin technology "safer" so we could fight a crime committed with crypto and help with bitcoin adoption without taking away the main features of bitcoin like decentralization and anonymity?
You can't.
Even the governments can't stop the criminals who are using fiat money in their criminal activities. Take note that they are using fiat, and it can be easily tracked because of their transactions. With cryptocurrency especially with Bitcoin, and also add the mixing services which makes the tracking way harder for the authorities to do, I don't think that there's a way for us to fight a crime without taking away anonymity.

New Digital Currency Introduced? Which coin are you referring to?
Maybe he is saying the New Digital Currency that the BRICS might be creating after stopping themselves from using USD in their transactions, but this will happen many, many years from now, or it might not happen at all.

If btc happens not to be part of that agenda, so will investing into btc against 2024 a wise decision?
I will just focus on this one since, I don't what you are pertaining for OP.
If you look on the price history of Bitcoin, the price of it pumps a few months just after the Bitcoin Halving, so I guess investing in Bitcoin in 2024 might be a wise decision, but there are still risks into it. As for me who believes in 4-year cycle, investing not only next year, but also this year is still a good decision.

However, don't go all in just because many people say that it's a good or wise decision to invest in Bitcoin in 2024.

Heat vs Mavs tonight and oh , this looks very interesting because both team needs the W and I don't see either of them backing up. With this , I do think we will have a tight battle with maybe low score because I do see both defenses putting up the work.

Heat are having 3 straight loses , while Mavs have a 4 lose streak , a win and another lose in their last 6 games.

Surprisingly or not , bookies do see Mavs as favors with odds being @1.78+.  Smiley

Let's define low scoring game in the current NBA right now. Lower than 100 points? Total of around 200 points?

I do see that both Mavericks and Heat will just play on their usual without putting up much heavily impact on defense but rather will focus on their offense.

Mavs maybe being favored on that game because Bam Adebayo is out for the Miami Heat and that's a big hole to be filled.
Right now, the Miami Heat are the lowest with only 108.7 however, they scored 129 points on this one against the Mavericks.
With this, it shows how atrocious the defense of Mavericks are. They allowed a low-scoring team like the Heat to score 129 points. I mean that's awful if you will ask me.

I put my bet on the Mavericks because Adebayo will not play, and I expect Kyrie and Luka to step up offensively. Well, Luka step up as he scored 42 points, but Irving only scored 23 points, and yes Hardaway stepped up offensively and scored 31 points, but still their defense is one of the worst. I will never put my bet on the Mavericks from now on at least on their remaining games whether it will be on their home, or on the road.

And I'm gonna say this someone tell me I'm wrong.  Brunson was the best steal in free agency in the last 10 years.

Dallas declined extending him 4 years for $55mil mid season last year 😂
I wonder what the Mavericks are feeling right now that they let Brunson out, they let Dorian Finney-Smith, and Spencer Dinwiddie out as well, and let Kyrie Irving in. As to what you said, I can't remember any trade that happened in the last 10 years that are far better than this one, but I guess you're right. Many doubted the Knicks as well because of this trade, and I hope those bashers will stop bashing the Knicks right now.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: April 02, 2023, 07:47:04 AM
It is all over after 12 rounds. The judges scored the fight: 118-111, 117-111 and 117-111 in favour of Joshua.

Franklin was no push over, he tried to win the fight but in the end stopped Joshua from knocking him out and lost the fight on a points decision.

Could Joshua seriously be back on the road to redemption?

I think he needs more than one good fight, Joshua totally dominated Franklin, and Joshua's killing instinct is still there but not dangerous anymore he didn't even score a knockdown, a fight with Wilder should be made right away, both coming from back to back loses and a Wilder fight will determine who should move forward to have another crack at the title, they are both in a similar situations coming from two back to back losses than winning after those back to back losses but Wilder's comeback is more impressive.

It's because Wilder still possesses that one punch knockout, which is still very scary. Who ever he touches, not name Fury, are going to go down hard. As opposed to Joshua who changes or a bit hesitant to pull the trigger after his first lost to Andy Ruiz. And then he switches coaches one after another that affected his style and then back to back lost to Usyk.

Probably this fight against Franklin that he won is just a tune up fight for him. Just to get back that confidence to be in the ring again and beat someone. And that 2 losses against Usyk really took a toll on him mentally. And if he chases Wilder next? I will go with Wilder and Joshua might be knockout for good and stay in the canvass. Wilder is still one of the heaviest hitting in the Heavyweight division right now.
In his interview, he said that it would be an honor for him to fight Fury because that's what the fans wanted, and he wants it as well. I mean if Fury wanted to give him the fight then the best possible date that these 2 might face with each other will be on summer.

Anyway, congratulations to Joshua in winning against Franklin. Unfortunately, I didn't watch the full game for some personal reasons, but I did watched the highlights. Right hooks, right straights, lots of uppercuts, and I thought that Franklin will get knocked down on the 10th and the 11th because of the barrage of shots made by Joshua. Anyway, a Unanimous Decision win for him, and a good comeback win after losing 2 straight fights to Usyk.

As for Wilder, even though he got defeated by Fury twice, I agree that he still possess that deadly and strong punch that will make his opponents knocked out. Like you said, outside Fury, all of his opponents got knocked out when facing him. Joshua Vs. Wilder? I'm afraid Wilder might just demolish him because of that one-punch KO.
