2141  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALRET! hoo.com Scammed and deleted Their website 😭 on: December 05, 2022, 03:30:47 PM
How do people even end up with these exchanges. It's my first time knowing about it.
Probably because of high promised return for yield farming tokens, number of accepted tokens that came from airdrops, and other token related service, etc.
It's my first time hearing this exchange actually, but their user base is somewhat large, they have 100k twitter followers although not sure the legitimacy of the followers.

Knowing they have huge user base if this case is too all of their users, then this might be a very huge problem to begin with.

I've updated the initial post with some revisions, and a thought about reporter badges.
About the reporter badge, it was proposed by theymos even asked for the reporter badge image[1] and yet it wasn't implemented. Well, it's been already 4 years and counting. This is also the reason the surge[2] of reporters seeking this badge Smiley

2143  Other / Meta / Re: Prevent Multiple Bitcointalk Login on: December 05, 2022, 01:51:34 AM
Bitcointalk has feature when you logout on one device, all current login session will be logout in any device.

When time of losing device, changing password is all simple resolution even in any kind of accounts in the internet no need of other feature. Simply multiple login at once is a convenient way for those who have desktop, smartphone and tabs or any device that has browser app that can login websites.
2144  Other / Archival / Re: online lottery games on: December 04, 2022, 11:30:04 PM
Here in my area those you mentioned are still used in guessing their betting numbers either the olds and youngster. The numbers shows on their dreams, also they so called "analyze" the date and time of death anniversary of the family member who "died" and come up a betting number and will be used to stake, birth date of someone in family circle is used as well. Well, in some way those number shows, but i still think it is just pure luck.

About the city/place where the lottery takes, as long as there is no transparency of the method used and it's not public, the chance of it for being rigged is too high.
2145  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Casino Blocked account on: December 04, 2022, 10:43:15 PM
My brother with the same last name is registered on this site, maybe this is the problem.
Probably, that's the case, since high possibility that you will be using the same ip address on the same network connection.

Since you already gave them personal information about you, i guess you should open a support ticket again and pm their support here with the linked shared above. Tell them about this, make a pic both of you and your brother with your phone logged in on casino account. Tell them you both using the site and sharing the same wifi connection.

Well, i don't know if it will work, but there's no harm in trying especially for the $100 you owned.
2146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I right or wrong on: December 04, 2022, 02:37:00 PM
That's somewhat right, but as you've seen, in any country, government's regulations do the thing, instead of buying literally. And crypto regulations is a double edge sword, while it's somewhat good for the community instead of banning crypto in specific country, it also a risk for decentralization where we are already in era of KYC—normalizing KYC.
2147  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake coingecko site please beware! on: December 03, 2022, 12:24:40 PM
what kind of services do they offer if they are so interested in phishing?
in what way is abuse possible here besides collecting email addresses?
For the original coingecko, yes, there's nothing other than the emails and accounts.

For this phishing site, it's the connecting of wallets which is weird why they (scammer/hacker) designed it like that lol, coz most regular users of coingecko will probably notice why there is a connecting of wallet (metamask or something).

what they are promoting is the connect page this is the entry they use to scam people.
Yes, as per the OP.
2148  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake coingecko site please beware! on: December 02, 2022, 11:53:38 PM
I've search "coingecko" in google and it shows as sponsored in the top, which really unfortunate that google don't have quality control to avoid accepting such ads.

I suggest you to avoid clicking sponsored ads in google search page just like you did because scam ads is inevitable in google search page.

Also, kindly report it, it only takes seconds to do that.
2149  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling ready2run gambling platform! on: December 02, 2022, 03:22:49 PM
It is one of the complicated thing - to read someone`s else code. I don`t sure that even serious audit can give 100% guarantee that you becomes a full owner of the site.  Possible that it is better to create new web-site. Anyway you need to hire several programmers to support it.
May be i`m too old, but i think that such deals must have some proves and contracts in offline.
For someone who can't read and debug programming codes, algorithms, yes, it's very complicated. That's why you need an IT guy to do it for you, it's part of the business, asked professional people to do it for you. Just like i said it's not like you are buying things from online shop/marketplace, like check it out then few seconds you get your copy of casino software, nah.

Creating a new website from scratch is whole different level. It's safe since it will go in different stage of quality management (quality control, quality assurance, etc.), yet time consuming and will require more resources than buying an already established running business, especially for marketing side just to get your very first batch of users.
Yes, contracts is always part of the business, everyone who buy business needs contracts and everything should be in legal way. Once you missed important parts, you are risking your time and money so buyer should always take advice from professionals.
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 02, 2022, 09:06:45 AM
A money launderer needs to deposit money into casinos, then use as little money as possible and then withdraw it onto the "legal" financial system with frequent withdraws.
I will refrain of speaking of which when you don't have enough data or statistics about this. I know some users shared their experience here the same as you described, so matic they are labeled as money launderer?

If "real gamblers" will used "most" of its deposits, then how about those who used the partial, quarter of their deposits? Also those who used all of their deposits. What should be they called?

The point is why labeling someone as real or not real gambler or what ever you call it just because they don't want to bet their whole deposits, quarter of it or all of it. There is no requirement of being a gambler soon as you gamble, you are a gambler, also for a money launderer. Any launderer can do both or any options mentioned, as long the money were from any crime then send it to gambling sites, its already laundering, whatever he does to that money.
2151  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think Binance is the best crypto exchange currently available ? on: December 01, 2022, 11:29:16 PM
Yes, no doubt about it, large volume, many options of alt/token, good user experience, have other services offered. But it doesn't mean they are invulnerable in any kind of hacking nor any exchanges. That's why always trade/exchange with cautious, trade what you can afford to lose if hack happens, and do the best practice to protect your funds.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 01, 2022, 10:55:55 PM
In an era like this, kyc is a trend almost required in any platform that something to do with fiat. That's why users tend to submit their info like it is nothing special, and no harm will happen like i always read in any kyc concern thread.

If we're talking of kyc preferred triggers, maybe only to those "legit" suspicious activity detected and a certain higher withdrawals, nothing else. This setup works in some reputed casino why not it is not followed to those new casino as well? Or to all casino.
2153  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling ready2run gambling platform! on: December 01, 2022, 02:59:56 PM
Buying or selling online is risky enough. In this thread we can see how the buyer was scammed and there are lots of same situation. But also, we can`t say that the OP is scammer because someone was scammed as a buyer. Everybody must make his own research before deal if he wants to buy smth online.
Buying a ready-made website business especially an established casino is not just like you're buying things on amazon, etsy or any marketplace. Anyone who is interested on buying such software should take many considerations including code audits while escrow with a lot of terms should be cleared for both party to avoid situations linked on this thread which is unfortunate.
2154  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I got hacked after downloading a file from https://multibitwallet.com on: December 01, 2022, 11:10:01 AM
I know you are right but you have not given any kind of proofs. If you might give us proof than we might be super happy and a lot of users might get sage from scams.
Check the posted eth address which has $20k balance and had the same experience in the comments. Also, there's no need to be happy for what had happen just because he gave proofs of the hacked and it doesn't mean anyone will be exempted of any hack when he posted more proofs.
Avoiding scams and hacks had almost the same practice to be followed. DYOR always helps.

As for OP, yeah, making mistakes in this space is always be a costly mistake. So learning from this kind of mistake of mistake is very important.

2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 30, 2022, 04:57:38 AM
In my country, there is a law of animal welfare, and against for animal cruelty such as horse and dog fight, but what, cock fighting is legal here. Only to those licensed cockpits in every sunday and some holidays.
Due to this is a huge business here and already part of the culture and tradition since many hundred years ago, i don't think if government will stop it or make a law against it since most politicians are only held to protect their businesses.
2157  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: November 29, 2022, 10:56:49 PM
You just can't play on a broken website that's not fitting the mobile browsers.
Yes, reasonable enough to take consideration when choosing a casino. Any casino website that is not mobile responsive only means that they don't care their users and doesn't have the budget to do it. If they can't do at least for this simple yet important feature how much more others, like its security, UX, etc.

So far, new casino software are mobile and tablet responsive, unlike those old casino/gambling sites, mostly old dice sites are.
2158  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Profitable and Growing Casino Website for Sale on: November 29, 2022, 10:37:06 PM
Maybe, if OP would just listen to other members' comments here, there is still a chance that the buyer might contact OP immediately. How about because the price he wants to happen is a bit unrealistic and OP doesn't seem to see that?
Probably because he doesn't care it's his price after all. If someone make a deal for it's a win-win for them. Besides it uses a broker this means, broker will get a percentage or fixed commission for this sale, that's why its too expensive.

If OP is still care locking this thread and create a new thread will help, this thread become haven of spam, the redundancy of replies/post sucks.
2159  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Mostly Betting Platforms promote their Website through Signature Compaign? on: November 29, 2022, 01:09:56 PM
Asking a question in the subject then answering it on your own. Well, all of those are right.

So what's the point of creating this thread? What's the image (auto bet) in relation of the thread. And what it  Betting San?

I don't want to burst your bubble or discourage you by any means but this is a "winter or christmas holidays" theme contest. What you have posted looks like it is in the halloween theme. Since its still early, you can still create a new one for the correct theme. Good luck.
