Just like i told ya earlier. Smart people sold and switched to other coins while the cheerleaders are getting more united in humping this garbage that has no future. The thing i hate the most though, is that they are humping it not because they care about the technology, but because they bought at 300k and they are now praying for a little pump so they can exit at a reasonable price. The conclusion is that they are stupid and fake at the same time.
Also, i'm here because my favourite toy (CRYPTcoin) died. It's fucking done. I just want to have the privilege to assist this shiclone into the afterwold too. I will be here to hold some hands and hand out the tissue. It will be a rollercoaster of emotions. Mark my fucking words.

It seems like they are closer to anon than anyone else and it still seems that way. No other coin has trustless functioning. And the devs actually talk to people in IRC (holy crap what an idea) which has actually become a burden it seems since now people rely on being able to go into irc and spam "UPDATES??!1". But I digress. Some people are stupid and some people are smart and some people can't figure out the difference between giving people a heads up for consumer advocacy and giving people an "I told you so". ...while those "i told you so"-guys are almost per definition cynicists who have a hate on the world and everything surrounding them. Just came into my mind when reading "I told you so". Other than that, I'm not purely here for the tech. Most aren't. Learning about a totally unregulated market is also quite interesting. I always imagine this crypto thingy as the regula(r/ted) markets with all rules removed. On one hand, it's interesting to see how people behave if you only let them (makes me become careful not to become a cynicist myself), but on the other hand it's sad that this whole idea of crypto, which is great in itself, becomes nothing more than the whore of manipulators. Problem is: money is involved. Friendships end when it comes down to money. Then imagine what happens when 1.) strangers meet each other and 2.) in a somewhat kind of anonymous place like the internet (please, don't start to educate me about the internet not being anonymous, guys... you know what I mean). Dumping and suppression continues. Almost all buys are met with sells, sometimes near instantly. For example, I'll place 5 straight small increment buys, only for it to be overshadowed by more sells. The thing is, my trades haven't even updated on the market history and the sells magically already appear. So fast, it looks artificial, very suspect and not kosher. Dumping, manipulation, or accumulation? What's more obvious is this person/bots repeated keystrokes and liking for 177 coins. I'm watching you, going on for weeks now.
I noticed that 177 thing too and it made me wonder what they were doing. whoever it is buys for a short while, then sells for a short while. As my job allows me to watch the markets almost all the day, I have also noticed that (as well as all those buy orders filling gaps, in the range of 25 - 60 CLOAK, round numbers, nothing behind the decimal point) and I'm pretty certain that this is a (very annoying) bot. It stops overbidding you if your order is somewhat 200-500sat more/less than its order. Although I do wonder how it can react that fast... I'm playing around with the Cryptsy API since some time and I know that there is at least a little time to pass by for fetching market data and analyzing it... .edit: I'd say that's classical margin trading. As soon as there's a minimum of profit to be made, those bots step in. The Cryptsy API is easy to use. I have a bot that buys and sells based on price targets and the BTC I have available. I used wamp server and designed a local web interface that allows me to change the trading parameters. I know, and it's fun to use. I have a GNU/Linux system (web server built in) and i am making a TYPO3.Flow application. I'm currently about to implement some technical analysis based trading strategies (although I'm still not certain whether they work in crypto) into the backend and a smartadmin based frontend is about to be coded, giving a nice overview about trend indicators, gains, losses... you name it. With nice graphs showing EMA curves etc. Nevertheless, my posting was more about the time that passes between fetching cryptsy data and being able to react. This 177 bot seems fast as fuck in reacting to bids etc... |

I've just checked other 3 files they are offering for free and all paswords are hashed in databases. No need to worry at all if your password is long enough.
Just for the sake of clarity, I did a quick rainbow tables check on some md5-hashed passwords from one of those dumps (the site which is already closed). Three out of ten hashed passwords (!) with an amount of altogether way more than 10 BTC could be converted back to plaintext. If I had more than five BTC in my account, I wouldn't use "johnjohn" as my password. So guys, hold on strong passwords, e.g. use calculated passwords which are different for each website (e.g. calculate them with a set of letters, numbers etc and the URL of the site or something like that, so they are not the same, but you can calculate them). Not to talk about 2FA. And, to make sure that your passwords are safe, do a rainbow tables check on it. Important: download the tables and do it on your pc, never put your password into an online rainbow tables website, as there are many sites which just wait for you to enter your password, so they can md5 it and get the correct hash for the password (so there isn't even any need to calculate the hash back into the password, because you already gave it to them). One more statement: I'd never steal BTC/money/anything from anybody. .edit: Neither the amounts nor the password "johnjohn" is what I have found. I'd either say "you can download it on cloaktalk.org" or just "download it on cloaktalk.org". Also, the electricity socket doesn't match the wall's direction in terms of 3D I'd also let the brochures throw a decent shadow on the floor (a bit bigger, but softer, the fading out kind of shadow, because as the floor behaves in terms of light/shadow, it seems there is a soft light source somewhere, but the shadows of the brochures seem to stem from a spotlight), so they don't look like flying around in the room, same with the walls (a light shadow just at the edges from the walls to the floor - like the one you see when you look at those edges in any room when the light is spread quite evenly). Sorry, I don't mean to bash your work (I really don't!), but I'm working with graphics designers almost every day, so I notice such things |

The thrill of winning can be hard to resist, I resisted the urge to sell some coin for a nice profit, holding for a higher price and more profit which turned into -11BTC. @JORR Holding good coin bought at bottom usually means PROFIT. Selling at bottom is always bad move. Like buying at high but idk if you bought at high, i hope you bought before main pump at low prices. Yes I know that BTC is going down, but come on, only 50$ in 3d, this is just few %. Bagholders you say? if someone bought at 200-300k-.. level, yes, this is nothing fun, but at bottom, it doesn't make much difference in mid if you bought at 110k or 90k. Buying at bottom after sell-off is always good move, it's classic good trader skill, to buy at bottom, wait maybe even few eeks.. but own cheap coins... Crypto market is like amazing Blonde Girl that you need hard work to know well and explore and sometimes it's not easy.

Maybe buy vericoin, also very low now I also lost 5 btc buying the Iceberg ipo, i really need to get the btc back i'm already 10 btc down..... (and this is borrowed money..) Even bought the titan miner batch 1 (10K$), after 3 days it went to 7K $. When I bought it you could make 1600 $ a day, so i thought easy money. Now LTC has tanked and difficulty keeps rising, and the titan doesn't come until september. I'm looking at big loss here too When starting i borrowed 16K for bank to invest in crypto. I thought ~60% in mining (titan) and then 40 % in investing coins would be great idea... but now not really working out Wait, you borrowed 16k $ from the bank to invest in crypto? i bought yesterday at 90K, big mistake! today I sold it again, btc going lower
If it helps you, I bought at 240k few days ago. I don't know why, I was so stupid  Are you gonna buy or sell now? I started with CLOAK when it was ~300-340, knowing it was high, but the "volatility" was kind of appealing. Bought and sold at the right times, so now my CLOAKs have a slightly lower BTC value than when i entered the market. As all coins, also CLOAK will go up and down. Just relax, don't panic and consider carefully if you really want to exit now. Yeah I had a few buys low and kept buying as it was rising, if I was to sell all my cloak now I would take an 11BTC loss. So I am certainly not doing that Good idea. I know how it feels to lose 11BTC: that's the exact amount I lost on a former popular dice game site. That was somewhere in December 2013, when Bitcoin had quite some value. ^^ I still remember this incredible adrenaline kick (it was not one of the pleasant kind ^^), followed by a really, really evil head fuck when my martingale had 22 consecutive losses - at 77% winning odds for me! About one month later, I went to totally confirm that my level of stupidity was beyond all description, trying to gamble it back (worst idea ever). I was only 0.3BTC short when I experienced the exact opposite of the adrenaline + head fuck thingy, just for the next roll to remind me that the bank always wins. Another ~10BTC gone in two or three rolls, plus the 10.7BTC I already had. However, lesson learned, gambling does not attract me anymore. I don't get angry about this (as I cannot change it anymore) and I quickly adjusted my attitude, banning those "If I were not that greedy, I'd be only 0.3BTC short" thoughts from my head and stopped being greedy. And I also believe that it had a great impact on my way of trading and handling Crypto in general. Being careful and knowing the facts about whatever I do is way more profitable than anything that looks like an opportunity to get rich quickly. So, enough offtopic for now. |
