1761  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Manual BTC Trade? on: October 02, 2015, 07:56:57 AM
Considering 0.01 BTC would need 100 days worth of confirmations to have the needed priority I would think its not possible if OP indeed only has 10k satoshi.
Isn't that just theory?
I also sent dust transactions once or twice, with no fee added, and they went through. And surprisingly, they didn't even take very long. A couple of hours, maybe.

But that was already some time ago, could very well be that the Bitcoin core was changed to prioritize such transactions differently, in the meantime.

Yeah, I think he didn't even own that much. Probably this post was just to who knows what. All kinds of weird people with even weirder stories in here.

I appreciate your ideas (even though some can be argued in terms of feasibility)... but the uncomfortable questions are still left unanswered Wink
1764  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JayS icq 665430683 on: October 01, 2015, 01:11:43 PM
Because all you scums and pedophiles hide behind bitcoin
Can you please stop accusing anybody randomly of being pedophile? That's not fun at all, and it's (at least I hope) only a matter of time until someone doesn't find that funny, either.
1765  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JayS icq 665430683 on: October 01, 2015, 12:20:29 PM
Sad to witness this board getting lower and lower.
Whoever wants to meet the dirtiest of human waste, join bitcointalk. They're all here. Sad
1766  Economy / Reputation / Re: Received negative because I want to sell my account on: October 01, 2015, 11:37:50 AM
There is no rule against selling accounts and most sold accounts appear to be used for signature campaigns therefore I do not believe that a sold account is a scam per say se. I would suggest that whoever left MarkMJ negative trust to change it to neutral if they wish to warn others to ignore previous feedback.

This is not a usual account sale. See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1195916.msg12550819#msg12550819 . Negative feedback should not be removed.

Notice the high price because of the "free" stuff included? Who pays 1.2 BTC for a senior account they plan on using for sig campaigns Roll Eyes I haven't been around here lately but are prices for accounts really that high now? Here I was thinking prices would be dropping because of all the farmers.

Here is the post in case the above thread is deleted:

Quote
Hello

I'm selling this account + my
perfectmoney
solidtrustpay
paypal
payza
advcash
NO PAPERS will be included
All for 1.2 btc (negotiable)
Waiting pm if you want to know more details
Justa short information: even if there was no scam ever intended, the negative rating would still be okay.

Once, I also wasn't okay with some ratings which - in my old opinion - were unjustified due to no scam being involved.
I suggest reading theymos' thread where he announced the trust feature. He gives some examples about possible cases for ratings, and he also states that the trust section would be a proper place to leave some general feedback about the user. So, at the end of the day, negative trust would also be okay if it was like "user rants at others for no apparent reason". No need for an intended scam.

It's up to everyone if he likes that, but that's what it was invented for - amongst others. Smiley
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 01, 2015, 10:35:34 AM
Converting itself isn't much of an issue, that's probably right. What is an issue is price fluctuations. Imagine one salary of, say, 4000$/month (I don't know how much the developers are paid, but I think this should be realistic). After you received your payment, price drops 10% (which is very realistic and more on the lower side of potential decreases).
400 bucks would just be gone. Would you accept your boss denying you 400 bucks, because the cryptocurrency he decided to use dropped in price? Most people wouldn't even accept 40 or even 4 bucks less, which is 0.1%.

Now imagine a decline of 20%*, and half of the rent I pay every month would be gone in an instant. I wouldn't want to explain to my family why I just gambled half our month's rent, just because of some altruistic ideas I have.
Would you still accept crypto as regular payment?

Also, I'm not exactly sure about what to say about the matter of the guys being penetrated to make their investments/financials public. I don't know if they're maybe legally obliged to do so. But speaking from the company I work in, I can definitely say that we're doing no such thing.
But sure, it's hard to compare an ordinary company to something like this, where investors and lots of foreign money are involved.

* plus the additional sell pressure which arises if all the developers need to cash out like what, 100000? more? each month to convert to fiat - the price would be close to zero in an instant!
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 01, 2015, 07:54:23 AM
It's even more surprising to know the people who receive payments from Ethereum don't refuse to accept anything other than cryptocoins.
This attitude is what annoys me - as a web developer by profession - most. How comes that so many people are thinking that all we do is playing Tetris all day long, just because our work implies the usage of a computer? We use our fuckin brains to work, and it's as much work as any other kind of work is work, too.

If you're working full time on a project, dedicating your time to it, and you have a fuckin family to feed at home. Would you accept any crypto currency to achieve that goal? Hell, I wouldn't even accept Bitcoin to make sure I have some food on the fuckin table at the end of each month.
1769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitmixer.io SCAM. Once a legit site now apperently went bad on: September 29, 2015, 09:50:28 PM
what the hell is this letter of guarantee (i also replied asking them the same thing..and got absolutely no reply)??

it's a signed message from their official address stating that all btc sent to generated address will be forwarded to your address.

but if you don't know that it means you didn't downloaded it. you should always download AND verify it before sending any btc.
You don't really think that any such website sends out anything close to some sort of a "letter of guarantee", do you?
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much have you gambled? on: September 29, 2015, 09:34:36 AM
I have gambled 8 btc too and loss it but now Im recovering it slowly. Now I already have around 6 btc, I hope I can recover all of it without any trouble  Grin
I would suggest to take it and be happy you are lucky enough to recover 75% of the loss.It is always better to quit at right moment.I have just losses in casino gambling so far.Sometimes win other times loose and reaches to from where it is started each time.
Absolutely.
I have gambled more than 20 BTC on just-dice when BTC was over 1000 $. When I was down to 3 BTC, I came back up to minus half a Bitcoin, and instead of being happy with an almost break even, I decided to also gamble back this ridiculous .5 BTC and - lost it all in a iirc 25 losing streak on 50-77% winning chances.

I'll never forget that adrenaline rush. Woooooh!
It was annoying, but luckily, it wasn't any money I couldn't afford to lose.

Lesson learned: gambling losses back is stupid. And as I didn't manage to stay profitable, I stopped gambling since then.

Plus, the discussion is nowhere about finding out whose fault it was, but to try and help recover it. I'm not sure in what regards your post is helping to achieve that purpose, bitboy11 (is that your age, or year of birth?).
1772  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how do i make some coins from TWITTER ACCOUNT with 50k followers.. on: September 28, 2015, 08:19:55 AM
ok thanks for ur effort ...i appreciate that.
No problem. To be honest, it's not that I wouldn't profit off of that, too - with some services, if I include my reflinks, they also pay for referrals you referred if you use them. But if it works out, it should be a win-win situation, so why not. :-)
1773  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how do i make some coins from TWITTER ACCOUNT with 50k followers.. on: September 28, 2015, 08:10:41 AM
Just an idea: if the followers are real (and maybe crypto related), sign up at services with reflinks, such as 1broker, cryptsy etc where you get a certain percentage of the fees they generate.
Then, send out your reflinks and gain passively.

I now someone with way less followers who gains around 1 BTC a week, so with 50k real followers, there should be way more possible.
how does he gains 1 coin ? per week ? if the referrals dont wager at cryptsy i dont get anything ,its not passive.
can u pm me some details on how he does...pros and cons i mean.
 thanks..
I sent you a PM with some suggestions.

Of course, they need to "do" something. For that reason, your Twitter account shouldn't only have bots as followers. If most of them are "real", then there is a good chance that with 50000 followers (think about it as a small to medium sized town of people whom you suggest to use certain services… there will be some of them who use it, for sure!), some will sign up and use said services.

Give it a try and don't market the services in a too aggressive manner. Sell them as recommendations and you should be fine. For little to no work, this is a good opportunity.

This acquaintance of mine has reflinks for nearly any service in existence. And he actively promotes them on chats, Twitter, forums and what not.
But I think with 50k followers, way less efforts are needed.

I will ask him for a list of services he can recommend, and I'll pass it on to you.

If you were the real owner of the email address, the providers would have asked you similar security questions and you should have had the correct answers to them. They would have definitely given you your account back. So either you created that email with fake details which you can't remember or you are a liar! Your claim that they cannot recover it is pure BS!!!

That depends on the provider. Each one has different policies and not mane would go out of their way or make an exception for accounts.
Exactly. I think bitboy11 didn't even bother reading the whole story.
Also, most services which delete their base accounts after x weeks of non-usage are those "high security" ones, such as hushmail. And I'm quite certain that they wouldn't restore the account nor allow the creation of the same email address again, because such exact things could happen, but with a scammy intent.

Just judging the OP because of your (bitboy11) flawed logic doesn't make sense.
1776  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [bitfinex] 7h35c4mm3r'5rh370r1c [bitfinex] on: September 27, 2015, 02:32:33 PM
Wow, just read the thread. I won't be using bitfinex anymore. Not because of the bug, but because of the sheer ignorance this Giovanni clown is treating you as a customer.

If the button states "close order", there is no way justifying the creation of a new order, and there is even less of a way claiming you, OP, being at fault in any way, because you don't know in what situations the developers failed in coding, creating buggy behavior of the system.
That's just ridiculous, and the only right decision would be a full reimbursement. Not some shitty 36% bullshit, I'm talking about 100%, including the profits of the first, intended close order.

In the world I live in, there is no way a customer could be treated like that. Big shame on you, bitfinex, big shame.

Why can't you recover your old email?
Even if it was deleted for inactivity you still can create the same unless it was already taken.
I think first try to find a way to recover your email else
If you were/are the real account owner you'd lawyer up, pay $500 for a demand letter from a RU lawyer and get your account.
For obvious reasons, most such email providers won't allow an email address which already existed to be created again.
1778  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] SearchTrade.com - Probably a scam ! on: September 26, 2015, 05:26:33 PM
I know all things you mentioned , however he still can send his BTC to cold storage or Desktop wallet and sign message just to proove that his services are legit .

I will give you an example , if I'am selling a Legendary account for 1BTC and you are interested in it , however you ask me to sign a message and I find the execuse "I used Coinbase adresss all the time" , would you buy it ? definitely not .
Good example. There is no good reason on earth why someone promoting a service would be reluctant to sign a freakin transaction to prove his services are legit. I can understand that not any services comes on its own with signed transactions, but if a skeptical user has pointed them towards that, I don't see any reason to not sign a message. It would only benefit the service.

So, I'd suggest to stay away from that - in combination with cointelegraph, those are two red flags, now.

MY BALLS YOUR FACE Cheesy
One day, someone will come and beat the shit out of you. It will happen, and I hope it happens soon and intensely.

Someone's foot, your face.

4. After the end of the contest add bitcoin.com to your hosts file

That sure is original. Why exactly do I need to do that ? You planning to ? This must be some kind of prank.
He didn't mention what should be entered. Where should the traffic from that site be redirected, and for what reason?
