i bought yesterday at 90K, big mistake! today I sold it again, btc going lower

If it helps you, I bought at 240k few days ago. I don't know why, I was so stupid  Embarrassed
Are you gonna buy or sell now?
I started with CLOAK when it was ~300-340, knowing it was high, but the "volatility" was kind of appealing. Bought and sold at the right times, so now my CLOAKs have a slightly lower BTC value than when i entered the market.

As all coins, also CLOAK will go up and down. Just relax, don't panic and consider carefully if you really want to exit now.

Maybe I'm wrong, but cloak chart looks like bitcoin copy-paste  Smiley
I'm not sure if those are comparable, because the time frames differ a lot. On the other hand, every "bubble" follows this pattern, so you might find this pattern on any coin which has had at least one major increase in price. Look at the charts e.g. on cryptsy and you'll be surprised how common this pattern is. In timeframes of some hours up to several months. Smiley

Aha you can sell it for that much, go ahead and try Smiley

Just a little note to Stunna, seen this guy spamming alot, like little posts such as "lmao"

Deserves to be kicked for trying to abuse the opportunity he has.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=289265
There is still the possibility (if likely or not is another question I'm not capable of answering) that he subtracts the "lmao"-posts from the total posts he's entering in the form to request a payment (at least that was the way I understood the form, so a passionate spammer still has the opportunity to spam without automatically trying to fool the system Cheesy). Or can you see the amount of posts he submits somewhere?

funniest thing about the bittrex thing is she is constantly saying the same things in here and being deleted left and right. was causing problems in the cloak irc a while back etc. and does the same type of things in trex irc and on the trollbox. Now that people are scared about the price allofasudden people care. people need to chill, it's messed up sure, but acting like some little girl has all that power is just f#cking silly. kitaco or tacocat or whatever she calls herself does not matter... period.
Full ack.

In general, people tend to surrender to the compulsive need of finding someone to blame when something being not in their favor has happened. The person being the easiest one to blame falls prey to this desperate need.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely do not endorse causing fear (or manipulating people into selling at a loss for one's own profit / manipulating people in general, if that's what the things that have happened can be called), especially when you're in a position involving responsibilities.

But I think it's okay now...
...dear cloakheads, just look at what happened: There were some great news about decent features on the last pages, but almost nobody recognized them because we're all way too much occupied in judging people for things we cannot change anymore.

Brilliantly stated allyouracid (are you just an "acid" supplier rather than someone that drops it too? You seem too sensible for a coke head)
Thank you Smiley

Well, it looks like I just gave prove that people with a rather unconventional understanding of "alternative recreational activities" can also make sense. Wink
The nickname emerged while trying to register somewhere using the (already taken) username "allyourbase", so I came up with the opposite of "base" and chose "allyouracid". So, at least there was no intended correlation with LSD.
2185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: August 12, 2014, 11:32:14 AM
CloakStrong. This fud storm will pass. It will make us stronger. Endured a similar passing with dark. It's hard but listen to fearcoka, hold and reap the rewards. Those who sold sub .01 will be sad. CloakStrong

+1 nicely said dark.

It also doesn't help that a Bittrex rep actively told investors that the cloak devs left the project.. It's one thing when there are forum trolls, it's another thing when the message is coming from one of the larger (soon to be extinct) altcoin exchanges. This is just a good time to buy cloak for everyone that that missed the boat the first time around.

I definitely won't be trading on Bittrex anymore, that's for sure. This incident deserves a crypto article. hmmmm Wink

I turned in a ticket at MintPal quoting the incident and asking them to open markets for SDC and LXC so I can move my coins ,maybe if they get enough requests they will do it.
I'm not sure if i get this right, maybe you can help me out:
  • you opened a ticket on MintPal
  • this ticket contains a description of the Bittrex-mod thingy
  • and because of that, MintPal should add SDC- and LXC-trading
  • you did that to be able to "move your coins"
My question is: how are all those points related to each other?

.edit:
Is it that you have a place to trade SDC and LXC, because you don't want to trade on Bittrex anymore? If so: understood. Although I seriously doubt that MintPal will comply and add markets just because of this situation. Smiley

.edit2:
CLOACK looks very promising  Smiley
I like that the dev are active and working on the site, and have no plans of dumping when CLOACK goes to the moon.
Thank you all the good work us little folks we like that, have good portofulio of alt: CLOACK, STEALTH and CANNABIS COIN.
Happy tuesday!

Hey Brian (and the few others that keep writing "Cloack")

It's a small thing but an important one. You wouldn't see someone from Apple spelling that very successful business "Appel". And you would never see someone from Google writing Gewgle. And you wouldn't think too much of someone that keeps calling you Brianne would you (because that's not your name)!

Likewise, the name of Cloak is not Cloack. You're not respecting it by continually spelling it incorrectly.
Nice words and good example for not being insulting while pointing out somebody's typos. Smiley

You must be a moron to quote update 3rd time at one page!

Everyone can see it two times, no need for another quote, this is spam.

New thesis:

Quoting alltime few time a page updates, anns., Dev's posts, etc. is a sign of FEAR about posts where people write their opinion about price.Smiley
I don't care whether it's fear or not - what I care about is that it's annoying to read the same stuff over and over again. Multiple times on one page of a thread is just not necessary. Smiley
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: August 12, 2014, 09:59:08 AM
What we really need right now is a coindesk article. That would be the final catalyst to get the attention cloak deserves.
Hmm, I really thought we had one yesterday (didn't visit coindesk recently, but I thought I had read something in this thread), but there's only an All things Alt where CLOAK is just mentioned as a side note.

I'm not familiar with how getting an article on coindesk works, but I could imagine that it could be worth a try if our devs would e.g. send the coming PDF about PoSA2 with a little explanation to coindesk. What do you think?

As I don't want to be a lazy opportunist profiting from the coin while others do the work, I wanted to contact coindesk about whether there is general interest in publishing about new features of CLOAK. However, after reading http://www.coindesk.com/contact-us/, I decided against that because they receive lots of requests and I thought it'd be more productive to just send an inquiry with all the information when it's available instead of asking if they'd be interested when the information is available. Smiley

As we don't have an article there, yet, maybe we as a community can start collecting valuable information about the coin and maybe even prepare a list (in bullet point form) with accurate information which only needs to be complemented by the devs with information about the new features? CLOAKheads, what do you think? Would that make sense?

You idiots believe anything without looking.

Mintpal is the main exchange right now. Price is tanking for no reason. Just some panic sellers.

Mintpal goes under 100k at 1940 then 2 hours later at 2125 someone sells a bunch and price drops to 94k. At 2155 it drops to 84k.

Bittrex drops under 100k down to 97k at 2150. At 2200 it drops to 91k. 2210 it drops to 88k

As you can see it takes many minutes later for Bittrex to catch up to Mintpal because no one wants to dump.

Are people really believing that people are in the trollbox on Bittrex and then dumping on Mintpal because of what they are reading? CLOAK holders on bittrex are strong because it took awhile before anyone started dumping into the buy walls. I'm sure people were only dumping because Mintpal was so low.

But anyways. Go to lazycoin. No clue why people would trade on an exchange with the word "lazy" in it.

Misguided accusations. Just a bunch of butthurt cloakheads.

The problem is not the the FUD in the trollbox, it's members of staff spreading FUD in the trollbox. I refuse to support an exchange who's staffmembers are actively trying to hurt my assets. Even more so when the exchange owner doesn't publicly distance himself from it and doesn't take action against the staff in question.

Fuck bittrex. An advice I will actively keep spreading along with this story as long as no rectification is made.
Staff members? Where's the plural from? Something like "overexaggeration illustrates"?
Also, it seems that the mod has been removed. This plus the apology... how does this tell you that Bittrex supports this behavior? There's a gap in your logic. Please read the last few posts before posting. And then you may apologize for posting uninformed BS.

Apologize for posting uninformed BS? Hahaha you're joking right? How ironic!

Anyway, an apology that's lost in an ocean of FUD is not what I consider rectification. Removing the staffmember in question is only the first step.
As it was discussed over several pages on this thread, I don't think it is lost. At least those who should, have noticed it. Also, what do you expect? Take him to court? (Now, I'm overexaggerating)

Come on, learn to accept an apology and then let's just live on and not whine about things which nobody can change anymore.

.edit:
Neccessary actions were made because of that, so I commend Richie for doing so.

But for me, as a witness of everything, to sit back and do nothing while someone's reputation is being destroyed? I don't think so.

Things got blown out of proportion and taken way out of context from people who started those accusation against her.

I was there and so was wonderloop.. and a few more people.

2 earlier post deleted.

Yup delete my post. Great way to show the world who you really are.

This is morally wrong.

I've never fudded nor will I ever want to.
Tbh, I also don't know what was wrong with your posts. I read them before they were deleted.

these are not employees, they are volunteers afaik.
That being said, bittrex should at least issue a statement on their twitter about it and remove the mod in question.
Right! They aren't even employees! How should you control that they're decent, besides listening to your intuition when you're about to make someone a mod? Imho richie stated clearly enough that such things may not happen and he'll take care about this, so this won't happen again.

Requesting an additional tweet about this seems quite narrow-minded to me (sorry, no offense) and those funny requests like stating it on the Bittrex start page make the cloak community look immature and stubborn. The only thing it does not is making things from the past undone.
So, let's grow up and accept an apology of a guy who probably isn't very amused himself about the bad reputation (although maybe only short timed) this action gave to the exchange.
2192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: August 12, 2014, 07:25:03 AM
A company is responsible for the behavior of its representatives.

I've got 5 satoshi left on Bittrex.
Of course they are. But keep in mind that this is not easy in a place where literally everyone from all over the world can become a mod. Remember fontas? Read his first posts on Reddit; you could actually get the idea that this is a nice person being interested in crypto. And then?
You cannot prevent shit from happening, it happens everyday and everywhere, even in the real world with paid employees of companies. It just doesn't protect from such things.

Richie apologized for something he didn't even do himself. I think, that's enough responsibility. Seriously, what do you expect him to do? Wash the car of every cloakhead for the rest of his life? Bring the price back up by himself? Close Bittrex? Stop starving and extinction all over the world? Peace for everybody? I think this whole thing is a bit overexaggerated. Really.
2193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: August 12, 2014, 07:14:42 AM
I'm in. I'm holding. Things will develop the way they'll do.

One more word to richie and this whole mod-story: I really think it's enough. Although I do not think that the price decline is solely caused by some mod spreading misinformation, nobody is safe from having a black sheep under their mods.
Richie has apologized officially on behalf of bittrex, which I think is a really, really nice gesture. What else could he do? Denouncing bittrex on its frontpage? Come on guys, this is ridiculous.

And now, let's please grow up and get everything back to normal, again.
2194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: August 12, 2014, 12:48:59 AM
It is fascinating seeing your 25 BTC turn into less than 6 BTC in just a few days. I have done it again Cheesy But as usual, I will keep all my coins until the bitter end (been there, done that - don't ask me why, I just canät let go Tongue ).
I know that feeling pretty well, but I just refuse to realize it.
Yeah, I'm still quite confident that the price will recover. It's all about manipulation in crypto (sadly...), and some guys suppress CLOAK's value so more and more people "abandon the ship".

It'll come back. What goes up must come down - and vice versa.

So, is this normal? And did the form register me correctly anyway? Or did I do something wrong, thus having to re-enroll?

Best regards and sorry for asking noobish questions, but I never participated in an advertising program here, so please bear (or bull, heh) with me. Smiley

Yes, it's normal. You need to submit the claim form again blank then you should be good to go.
Thanks for your answer, much appreciated! More because of a coincidence, I took a look into the thread (had almost forgotten about my question here) and saw that I'll have to fill out the form again (didn't send it again, as you told me). Now I did (to be on the safe side, I took my current postcount and not the one from earlier) and probably everything is fine.

Thank you!

!!!
To everyone here who is making losses while trading. This image is very important information! I firmly believe that innovation/features of a coin only do one part to the price, whereas the other part is being delivered by those who control the market. And they often know the psychology of inexperienced traders (often referred to as "weak hands") pretty well.
Prices are being driven up and kept down, just to make you feel exactly what is being described on the picture.

When price goes down (of whatever crypto investment you have) and it's not due to some really bad news which can be directly connected to the decline in price (like, developer ran away with a pot of gold, leaving the users behind with an overpriced bunch of nothing), it's often that there's either something more profitable to trade right now (thus, people switching coins for a short time and coming back later) or the price is kept down to make people sell low, believing their asset has become worthless.

Don't fall prey to this scheme, crypto is not play money (especially to those who don't have much and/or are susceptible to being manipulated into buying high and selling low). Don't throw your hard earned money out of the window!

Best regards and happy trading,
allyourbase.

Hello Stunna/PrimeDice team,

I wanted to participate in this advertising campaign since some time already... and now, I finally found the time to register. Great that there is an advertising program paying that much - thanks for that!

However, one question remains: I have changed my signature, added my Bitcoin address, opened the Google form from the first posting on this thread and selected "Enroll". I entered my information carefully, but when I finished and clicked "continue" ("Weiter" in German, not sure what exactly the English button states but I guess it's clear what I mean), I came to the "Collecting Payment" form (which I cannot fill yet, of course, because I just registered).

So, is this normal? And did the form register me correctly anyway? Or did I do something wrong, thus having to re-enroll?

Best regards and sorry for asking noobish questions, but I never participated in an advertising program here, so please bear (or bull, heh) with me. Smiley
2198  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: August 07, 2014, 05:28:10 PM
I'd buy some tobacco, as my current pack is almost empty.

Then, I'd sit down and smoke a cigarette, thinking about the pros of hiding the money from my wife (party!) vs. the cons of sharing with her (less party). After some months, everything would be over, leaving me behind completely wrecked, psychologically and physically.

No, actually, I'd buy us a house (quite expensive here, if you don't want anything special, ~650k are gone easily) to have this pension-thingy resolved (well, kind of... who knows how things develop) and the remaining 350k would probably go into Bitcoin. Smiley
