2181  Other / Meta / Re: Possible to know who locked thread? Mod/Author? on: February 02, 2022, 02:45:55 PM
i have the same story but i guess the mod prevented more spam to the thread especially if its in the gambling forum. more replies will be posted telling the same thing over and over so the mod closed it.

but whats the point of aski g who closes your thread, are you going to shoot the mod?  make sure you could get away. 😀
2182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 40,785 Bitcoins transferred away from Exchangers. on: February 02, 2022, 08:59:22 AM

i couldn't really see that transaction tx where this 40,785 was sent out from the exchanges. or i don't know how to look at where that article maybe.

less circulating supply i guess makes the demand stronger and therefore prices could go up. that's what it means but we are not sure of this information, i don't even trust crypto news sites anymore.
2183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is at the most oversold level on: February 02, 2022, 06:21:49 AM
Yes, crypto has gone very low and so have the other markets. There is a possibility of correction very soon because it fell quickly. It is a good time I think if somebody wants to buy crypto.

it dropped to 34K in the previous week, if someone figured it's oversold, they've already bought and profit more already today. i felt like i have lost an opportunity last week. i couldn't say if it will go up continuously or will it still go $34k again. indicators are still unsure though. analysis of other traders agrees that 34k is the bottom, the other says its not. one thing is for sure. stablecoin.
2184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: February 02, 2022, 01:47:15 AM
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) does not want El Salvador to use Bitcoin as legal tender, because they want them to stay with the US Dollar, so that they can loan more money to them and thus control whatever they do in their country. (Their power come from the control they have with the loan sword they have over these countries)

They threatened El Salvador just after they made the announcement that they would adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, that they will not loan more money to them, if they do that.  Roll Eyes

they are afraid El Salvador might pay their debt in full and can do whatever they want. this is what BTC can do for a country so small. if Arizona and Texas bills making BTC as legal tender as well be approved, what will IMF do to them as they are part of the US?

it may be hard for Arizona and Texas to do make BTC legal tender but there was news about it and all these states are looking forward to making their state like NY or Wyoming making thier cities as BTC citadel.
2185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New here, GAS FEES- what is the most economical way to move assets around. on: February 01, 2022, 06:53:43 AM
My advice to you is to go to etherscan and observe the fees there and only do transactions when fees are low. Lately the fees have been reasonable. It was possible earlier this week to send an ETH transaction for $3 and a ERC20 transfer for $10.

The best time typically is during the weekend, usually on Saturdays or early Sunday’s. There is usually low liquidity those days so many Defi are not traded and hence the lower prices.

now that's good advice. $10 fee is already cheap for me than having to pay $45 per transaction. $3 is more than a bargain. crypto market is supposed to be running 247 but has low traders sleep at weekends thus the network slows down.

i have heard they are never really going to fix this issue with ETH. I've seen an article that they halted the ETH2 deployment. forget ERC20 and use LN, it's the best way today to move assets with just cents for the fees.
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 01, 2022, 06:29:54 AM
The gambling industry will always stay profitable, however, regulations will be stricter especially in poor countries, but in rich countries where most people can afford to gamble, they will just likely increase the taxes so the government will benefit from the industry. With the popularity of crypto gambling as well, it gives the regulators more opportunity to earn and the entire industry will grow as gambling across borders made possible and easy with cheap transaction cost.
Somehow, I agree with this because gambling is one big industry that can give many gambling companies a big profit, whether the gambling industry is in developing countries or rich countries.
When the government increases the taxes, the gambling industry still grows because many new people are curious about the gambling games that will always give new things.
With the VR technologies that already happen, that can push the gambling industry to reach a new level that we did not imagine before to give more experience to many gamblers.
Many gambling companies build their business in many places, making people gamble to any place they want, which does not limit their country.

It's what they have been saying about metaverse where gamblers can walk around with thier avatar like it's the real world and meet gamblers in the metaverse and play together like the traditional casino. it's different from the futuristic movies we watch in Hollywood actaully but i guess blockchain had brought a different path for where we are.

if you think flying cars will be the next, you are far ahead because electric car seem stealing the stage.
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Europe With Bitcoin Salary on: February 01, 2022, 05:43:13 AM
the more the merrier! not a very popular politician in the international news actually but he is influenced by the NY city mayor which he stated in his Twitter post. https://twitter.com/cdebeukelaer/status/1486702433233477642

seem a pure fan and just want to probably hedge his money against inflation which he must have a lot since he owns a grocery store and he is an engineer as what his profile says. there should have been more people like him who have BTC in Europe, coinfest is held in their region.

This is not about protecting its money from inflation but it is news about Europe being the first to pay politicians salaries with Bitcoin.
It's not even politicians who want to be paid their salaries in bitcoin, but the seven NFL stars have chosen to be paid in Bitcoin as well.
For example NBA stars like Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala have said that they will receive their salaries in bitcoin.

he is not getting paid in BTC but he is converting his salary to BTC. no government today pays BTC. yes, it's about celebrities and sports athletes hyping the cryptocurrency and making people come to crypto. for regular people, they join because they just want to make look cool to the public but behind the scene, something else is happening because there is a purpose why doing so.  if the value of their wealth is sinking because of inflation, it make sense to move to BTC.

winning vote could be a reason. crypto users are everywhere.
2188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bulgaria do not hold 213000 BTC according to the Minstry of Finance. on: February 01, 2022, 04:56:51 AM
This is going to be a natural disaster, perhaps an earthquake to the market if the government changes it mind one day. That's a quite huge number of Bitcoins for anh organization and this is held by government that can do and undo at any time. They should auction it out as other countries do, it will be merit to us and every bitcoin holder and rest of mind on the entire market.
I don't know why I don't feel happy when I see government headlines and bitcoin. Undecided

they denied they have the amount of BTC. but since they have confiscated some, it would appear they do have a ton of BTC and it was during the time when BTC was still cheap and people keep thier BTC on exchanges.

i feel happy if a government has BTC which means they do have reserves. they may not consider it reserve for now but it must be as it's still a currency. they should keep it instead unless they want to be like El Salvador whos buying because there is nothing to confiscate.

2190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: January 31, 2022, 02:46:19 PM
Makes sense for me. Even I am guilty of thinking that a $4.30 piece of meat is a better buy than a $4.99 one, albeit the latter showing more quality and freshness compared to the former. People like to skimp on things thinking that they'll get better value when they paid less, but that's not always the case. Oftentimes, this mindset makes people miss buying opportunities, and regret not buying when the opportunity presented itself.

another cause for fomo. when everyone thought the dip is not over and they chase to buy at higher price because suddely it bounces all the way.  traders who expect 25k will be left stunned how wrong the prediction is and eventually come up that a whale manipulated the market seeing themselves a victim of a bear trap.

ohwell predicting is lot harder than just hodling.
2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The possibility of cryptocurrency regulation in the metaverse on: January 31, 2022, 09:14:11 AM

The metaverse is the new cryptocurrency environment and this time the virtual world is gradually taking over the physical world and activities, most business and new development in various sectors have moved their business to the metaverse and the truth is regulators are beginning to see the possibility and crypto regulations in the metaverse which is one thing most crypto enthusiasts are worried about the total privacy of the metaverse and privacy will look like in the new era.
if it has a positive impact on the crypto industry, I don't think there is a problem with regulation. I think this will have a good effect. if we put aside the issue of privacy, regulators provide a sense of security. We know there are many crypto projects related to the metaverse released every day and among them there are many bad projects. regulation will make such projects disappear.

that's a possibility its just not sure how they will make it. should the government buy a place in metaverse to regulate?

there might not even be the need to regulate metaverse, or they may not be able to. the NFTS alone is just very difficult to regulate. it's not part of the reality so the government will not try to play inside the metaverse. all they need is in the real world.
2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC power consumption on: January 31, 2022, 08:05:35 AM

greta and elon must have been part of these shenanigans as well don't you think?
now they are trying to create these E-cars these days for us to shift. never did they think that any dumbass can figure out where the electricity comes from but from the oil we extract.

they were saying that the network consumes like the energy of Argentina. it's just a tiny country compared to the energy spent on the banking system alone.
2193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No..China Does NOT Have 0% of the Hashrate on: January 31, 2022, 05:54:35 AM
Side note to all of this. I have a small pool I run for a couple of oddball scrypt coins. We are talking 5 distinct miners on a busy day and I'm one of them.
I still see IPs originating from China coming into the pool at times. It's either an ancient USB stick miner or a few gridseed orbs or a bunch of faster graphics cards. Can't tell what, but it's still there.
So China mining not totally dead.

-Dave
Of course, a government ban cannot completely destroy mining in a country, especially one as big as China. There will always be people who will violate this ban. Moreover, I do not see that it will be adopted in the form of a law with sanctions for its violation. But nevertheless, there is no official cryptocurrency mining activity in China. The state still has a very strong influence on cryptocurrency.
This week, the Winter Olympics are already opening in China, where they promise to officially launch the digital yuan. Some time after that, a review of the decision regarding the ban on cryptocurrencies is possible there.

i have read that anyone can download the DCEP/CBDC android app of China this Olympic which anyone can also use it. i tried it on playstore.

i really think china will not abandon cryptocurrency, they may just say to the media that they ban mining but i doubt the government will just leave it to the world when they can also take advantage of the wealth distribution. it'd be fun to see XI Jinping's government itself is mining like Bukele and Xi also challenging IMF.  Cheesy

2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 30, 2022, 03:09:20 PM
I don't think Francis is asking for too much. I think he just wants more than 500k and the option to fight in a boxing match. Give him a guaranteed 1 million a fight with a cut of the PPVs and let him box with it being a UFC-cross promo like the Mayweather fight and I'm sure he'll be happy. If Brock Lesner can get $2.5 million for fighting Mark Hunt back in 2016 then Ngannou should be able to get something similar. UFC is far bigger now than it was back then as well. Dana really needs to get it sorted because he's going to lose arguably the best heavyweight on the planet if he doesn't cough up the dough. Surely they'll lose more in the long-run by letting him go.

sure thing. it's just what Ngannou wants, an opportunity like the rest of the fighters who are winning the money they deserve.

hard to say Ngannou will still get it after all the coverage of thier dispute on many interviews. i come across a video in which Dana going to be suing Ngannou, i'm not sure if its true but it's going to give him leverage.  the pride is also going to make it hard for Dana to calm down.
2195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: January 30, 2022, 02:19:45 PM

Is it a good time to buy now? It looks like the bears have subsided. 30k resistance point is still holding strong. What do you guys think?
If you have analyzed bitcoin's current decline and you believe that bitcoin's trending low will not fall below $30k despite another decline, then you can of course buy it now and then hold it for the long term until you make big profits, all this time bitcoin has been proved to be a coin capable of providing greater returns in the long run.

make sense for a long term holder. we see it dip this low and it's very close to the RSI oversold point which is already a good time to buy. wait for another 6 months i think you can already profit from it. BTC will be great and many altcoin lovers have bought already the tokens they are rooting to moon in the next bullrun.
i bought already some tokens i have been staking, i think i'm going to gain a substantial amount every month with it.
2196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 30, 2022, 09:10:46 AM
punishing El Salvador for wanting to have economic sanctions seems too much but it's what big economic bodies do like big banks. they don't want you paying the debts you have. not sure if they are sanctioned already from the SWIFT network but they may be if El Salvador doesn't comply with this IMF demand. this compromises El Salvador's economic freedom. Nayib though is not worried about it. in his reply was a meme on tweeter pushing IMF away.
2197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Bitcoin on: January 30, 2022, 07:33:17 AM

with Bitcoin price right now, a regular person with a regular job at a company will struggle to own 1BTC so yeah congrats yourself for having the guts. majority of the people will likely want to buy early to some altcoins like SOL, AVAX, and Matic than buying BTC which they couldn't own 1. just want to assure you BTC will not go zero no matter how long the bear market will be. it may fall terribly like 80% but it will not go zero and it will be satisfying when te price reach another ATH after it.
2198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best strategy for crypto trading on: January 30, 2022, 06:25:40 AM
This is very difficult to answer as every trader got different tastes or ways how to do their trades.

This is true every traders have different strategies and perspective of what the chart gives, in my case I don't usually trade along the an uptrend or downtrend I wait for a pull back first and use a Fibonacci Retracement tool along with the MACD (to see momentum of the current trend) and use the RSI (to see if overbought and oversold). This is just a simple strategy but I find it effective most of the time at 1hr - 4hrs time frame.

i did it in the past but learned it's not very effective in day trading. Fibo and RSI will be a good indicator to have if you are for long-term trade. it will be tiring to watch the chart for a day seeing how slow the movement of price is.

to me, it will be a challenge to trade 1-4 hour chart in the spot market particularly in this semi bear market but you'd be profitable in futures derivatives if you know what you are doing.
2199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new Gaming projects? on: January 29, 2022, 03:56:18 PM

gaming projects usually need more hype than what actually the project had achieved for its token to have good value. I have invested in some that I thought will really go up in the last bullrun, it didn't.

cyberclassic.io looks like a classic scam too. with misspelled words and some youtube influencers talking about it. the more promises the team does, it's really going to be a mess when someone asks about an update due to patience running out.
