2201  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most expensive commodity at the moment? on: June 05, 2019, 02:00:08 PM
What is the most expensive commodity at the moment? besides gold and diamonds.
and is bitcoin included in it? please share your knowledge about this.

I believe Platinum is one of the highly expensive commodities (more than Gold and even more than diamonds in cases of the types of quality offered as platinum is highly rarely in findings). Though, it's better not to compare Bitcoin to these things as it's not yet a commodity but a speculative asset. Still if you would like to compare, Bitcoin is way beyond being called as expensive but in my views, though it has got a very handsome price tag attached, it is still far from being the number 1 in terms of market cap. Bitcoin needs to be very, very extraordinarily expensive from anybody's reach (even a rich person) to be able to get to a market cap so competitive that Gold would be like 1/10th in terms of market cap against BTC.
2202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is all this "Satoshi" drama? on: June 05, 2019, 12:45:25 PM
I know how we've been through the roller-coaster type journey of a decade with Bitcoins and the skepticism we've all had in our minds about the identity of Satoshi, and then everything started off like this:

May 2016: Craig Wright claims he is Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto

He failed to prove that he is Satoshi during then, still just tried his best to poke the community every now and then to make them believe he is the creator of Bitcoin.

Nov 2018: Another 'Satoshi Message' Attempts to Sway Public Opinion, But Fails

And then, this:
A "dicksucker" claimed he knows Satoshi and he'll leak him to the community.

April 2019: John McAfee Says He Knows True Satoshi Identity, Promises to Reveal It Soon

And then, the April Fool:

While all of this happening, a website was formed during this timeline which claimed to do the same - reveal Satoshi.

May 2019: Satoshi Website Triggers Countdown to ‘Live Unveiling’ of Bitcoin Creator

Fucked up already? Don't be, there's more.

May 2019: Craig Wright Attempts to Copyright the Satoshi White Paper and Bitcoin Code

I don't really get it what's in the benefit of Satoshi if he is found? Or what is actually good for the commission if he's revealed? I don't really believe Craig Wright to be Satoshi, you know why?

For all the Satoshi(s) in the limelight, I've got one question here, if you've not got they keys with you to prove yourself as Satoshi -

One of my favorite comments:
"If he really is, he can go onto bitcointalk.org and make a post under Satoshi’s account saying who he is. Otherwise he’s a lier. Or what? Did he forget his password?! Lier lier. And a twat."

2203  Economy / Services / Stedsm's Avatar and Personal Text for rent! on: June 04, 2019, 02:28:55 PM
As I've not been "advertising" anything in my personal text and avatar as of yet, I'd like to give you the opportunity to advertise something creative through my personal text and avatar.

But hey, there's a catch here.
Everyone there guarantees you a fixed amount of posts each week but what if sometimes they deliver less in number? (I'm not comparing myself to anyone but just an example).
Simple, if I promise at least 30 posts a week and for some reasons, I'm unable to reach there, it means I didn't serve you better.

So, the catch is:
I'll be charging BTC0.0003 per post (negotiable with highly trusted members) for whatever amount of time you want me to advertise your avatar and text (both are included in this price), though we'll work it out on a weekly basis. Trust me, the number of posts will be moderate.

What I won't allow:
- Any mixing service
- Porn/Nudity
- Anything that can inflate anybody's emotions
- No personal comments/attacks
- Anything I may find uninterested at the time any advertiser approaches me

I want to remain neat and clean while also giving a chance to those interested in renting my avatar and text space to utilize it and advertise what they want to.
2204  Economy / Services / Re: Hero - Signature and ad space for rent(30min post /week) on: June 04, 2019, 02:08:53 PM
thanks for the suggestion I already have thought about it. I can see nothing wrong about it tho as I already have done it on my previous client.

I think you misunderstood my words there.
It shouldn't be like saying publicly even if you're offering such things that I'd call as a discount on 5 weeks rather than 1 week free on buying 4 - that's how I see it.

Quote
That is how I value my client giving them an extra time is not a big deal at all and it will also do not mean that the quality of my service goes down.

I never said that you will compromise your quality if you give a week or two free to your customer, you never should because that would affect their reviews about your services only. It's good if you really maintain your quality at the same or even better levels and provide best of the best services to your customers.

Quote
If the client will not like my service and will ask to remove their signature then I'll do as they say. Plus if they will demand a refund and If in my judgement that I really did not do my job properly I will give them a portion of it

I'd suggest you something over this as well.
Don't use those words like if they won't like your service, you'll do what they say. Instead, just set some terms for any such conditions if ever arise, because your client may demand for anything which you may not find suitable for your reputation or your service itself.
2205  Economy / Services / Re: Please read post (sexual services) on: June 01, 2019, 11:28:04 AM
thats true lol Grin thank you

No need to actually mention that this girl is so awesome in terms of looks and figure, she's really a wonderful personality. I've had a chat with her as she promised to give me some of her pics and man, she is extraordinarily sexy babe with a great attitude. And now, as I've promised her, I'll definitely be sending those pics to my friend (the addicted one I told about, previously) and ask him to surely go for one of her sessions and see if she satisfies him to the fullest. Good luck with your job @Tamzaxo and wish you a lot of success (I know you'll succeed). Thanks for all the time you gave me. Wink
2206  Economy / Services / Re: Hero - Signature and ad space for rent(30min post /week) on: June 01, 2019, 10:44:24 AM
Up,

Promo: If you rent 4 weeks you'll get free 1 week avail now Smiley!!

@OP,
It's your service and I should not have any concerns with how you provide it to your customers, but as Mpamaegbu said, I guess that you're just going to ruin it forever for yourself if you DILT (Do It Like This).

Just a suggestion as a friend - It shouldn't be like asking people to take your service and get something extra for free.

Why free when you're still putting efforts the same week you'd be putting throughout the previous 4?

What if someone doesn't like your service? (Just a possibility)

Take your quality to such a level where people make great offers for your services themselves.
2207  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How important is the right .com Crypto domain name to you for your project? on: May 31, 2019, 11:40:37 PM
Hey Bitcointalk'ers

I'm curious to know how important the right '.com' Crypto domain name is to all of you starting projects within this space? I've known clients who have forked between xx,xxx - xxx,xxx on the right domain and i wanted to know how much you would be willing to spend to get that brand you want for your business?

Most of the crypto startups use .io domains,so I would say that .com domains aren't important at all.
If you are asking about the brand-well,it's important but the idea behind the project and the dev team are more important.

Mate, .com domains are called high quality domains no matter what (I know that there are many other premium alternatives available but you can't just ignore the speciality of .com domains).
.com domains are not equally, but highly important and recommended for any and almost all projects to be their first choice before considering any other options.
.com domains are cheaper if we compare good deals over domain brokers and check for the best price.

As Kemarit said, companies unable to find a particular .com domain for their project (as they're specific to the one that suits best to their project but not able to get it due to the same been parked already by someone else or there's already a website over such domain) go for alternatives like .io and many others.

Freebitco.in is one great example which shows that it all depends over time's demand and what the project is about. Sometimes, what we choose as an alternative proves to be better than ^if we'd have gone for that instead of this^ type of feeling.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What importance is kyc In gambling section on: May 31, 2019, 11:17:08 PM
Know your customer (kyc) is one security measure I support and do not hesitate to fill-in all my kyc required details. KYc is being used by exchanges, ico project some bounty managers etc.

We all know that KYC is a security measure, but there also stands the risk of getting our documents compromised if the end party (ICO, Exchanges, Airdrops and Bounties, etc.) has got something fishy in their mind to do with them. I'm not blaming that all are bad, but trying to get a trustworthy one is like finding a diamond in the crowd of charcoal, especially if you're going to give them to an ICO company to make some extra bucks by joining their airdrops / bounties. For those free coins (that are just speculated to be having a value they promise while asking you to register and do a KYC as such coins are yet to come over an exchange), we should understand that we're giving our precious details which one shouldn't even send to anyone accidentally due to the fact that such confidential information can be misused to any extent and behind our back.

Quote
But is kyc really needed in gambling section. I experienced a very hectic kyc procedure when trying to register onto a gambling site with them telling me they would get back to me after some day so I wonder what if I got a pressing game I needed to play immediately.
In my own opinion kyc is not of major importance in gambling section. What do you guys think

If KYC becomes mandatory in gambling, I guess I'd stop doing it as what's the privacy about if we're to be asked to share our details even with a gambling site where we wanted to stay anonymous?

Would you mind sharing that gambling site's name here just so that we see and learn what are such procedures being carried for?

P.S.: KYC may be asked by some of the reputed sites just in case they doubt it's not you and someone else trying to redeem money from your account. In cases where the withdrawal amounts are higher and as there are withdrawal limits (some have daily and others got monthly), there may occur a need for you to provide some proof in the end to get your money withdrawn.
2209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A BIG WARNING FOR NEWBIES on: May 31, 2019, 10:34:55 PM
Cut down on the words "they want to" and keep it like they show you that they can double your money and ask for deposits with 3 - 12% and even more as repayments daily. But HYIPs are like first come first served types to my experience and all of them try to run their HYIP business at least a bit before they run away just as you said. I won't say anything about how to earn here or anywhere as it's a struggle a newbie should face themselves for their own good because learning from ourselves makes us better compared to listening to someone's opinion when it comes to money. But yeah, I can ask and urge these newbies not to put their hard earned money (through any source) into these HYIPs just to make some quick and easy bucks. Money has now become an extreme need of almost every other person on Mother Earth which is why some extra superior efforts and highly qualified efficiency is needed to make as much money as possible and we can't to explain it to anyone what to be done because those who're greedy will definitely go for these scams even after such warnings and those who understand the importance of money will only put it where their mouth is.
2210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the day trading profitable ? on: May 31, 2019, 04:23:56 PM
I am prepared myself for trading. But i need some suggetions from here. There are many way for trading in cryptocurrency. But i need correct one which is profitabe. I am prepared myself for day trading. Is it profitabe?

In my views, trading is actually profitable while done long term. There were many examples I've been a part of. But even in this mid to long term strategy, you need to set your targets and even better, you need to know when to exit.

I'm giving you a very small list of channels/groups I follow over telegram:

@blockchainwhispersbaby
@tradingcryptocoachbackup

And last as well as the best one - @CryptonaticA

This guy actually won a championship held over Blockchain Whispers, got 1 BTC and you know how much did he make with his investment and signals alone except the winning amount? 1350% which means a 13.5x return in just 1 month.
2211  Economy / Services / Re: Need help with kraken account I pay you BTC on: May 31, 2019, 03:55:29 PM
Guess sob stories won't help out in your situation and somehow you'll need a huge-hearted risk-taker or your friend himself for you to recover at least your part of BTC?!? And one more question, was it a joint account sort of thing? If so, how? Because Kraken is not a bank where you're able to actually do that IMHO and I said it based on this - https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001385426-Is-it-possible-to-create-a-joint-account-
2212  Economy / Services / Re: Please read post (sexual services) on: May 30, 2019, 10:27:25 PM
--snip--

This is cheating, and it's objectively wrong, and in the long run it only reinforces this behavior, and they might start cheating in real life too. And cheating is a very serious issue, it ruins families, which in turn tremendously screws peoples lives, including and especially children's. Just think twice before suggesting such services to your friends - do you want to be complicit in it all or not? I think a good friend would never do such a thing.

Look, those who never leave their families even after cheating at their back and just pursue their responsibilities as a good person shouldn't really be blamed for their needs. OP is not doing a social work here, if she'd have been doing it, I'd also recommend to join the same to my friends as well and they would happily do a charity no matter who the person is. It's everyone's choice and a good friend is also the one who makes both the ends meet for his friends. I'm not gonna ruin anything for them as far as they don't commit any physical relationships with such personalities.
2213  Economy / Services / Re: Please read post (sexual services) on: May 30, 2019, 05:58:40 AM
I've just PMed you something I'd like you to respond to.
Once I get a positive response, you'll definitely have some good customers coming from me only as I've got a list of some addicted friends whom, even after marriage, are not satisfied and cheating their wives off.  Tongue
I guess there's nothing wrong in cheating, at least in this case?!  Grin
2214  Economy / Reputation / Re: Questions about Merit and Trust on: May 30, 2019, 02:55:56 AM
Sorry for asking this guys! (Sorry not sorry)

Sorry but no sorry from me as your post made me one thing clear about which I was trying to gain some more information quoted below:

Quote
Whats the merit cycling club?

Quote
I kinda get the merit thing but not fully,
You contribute a good helpful post gain merit?.
See a good helpful post give merit.
Whats it for ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
A thread in Meta if you'd have actually searched for it.

Quote
Whats it for indications of a shit poster or what?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2836505.0
A piece of information in this thread that describes what is shitposting. Specifically, shitposters are those who make off-topic blatant unnecessarily unrelated spam-posts just to gain more post counts - that may either be signature spamming or just a regular one. Some just continue to send reports in ICOs which is also considered spam as you're not here to do that alone but to gain knowledge too.

Quote
How do people "abuse" the merit system?

Obviously by trading them. The best (or I'd say worst) way to abuse merit system is to buy or sell them for money and give them to those who don't deserve to rank up at all.

Quote
Trust When is the right time to issue trust?.
When I get a signature made and they deliver? Or they do not?

First things first:
Trust is not a cheque that can be issued. You can give it to someone whom you think to be trustworthy, you can also remove someone from your trust list by adding ~ before their username, e.g.; ~Stedsm if you don't trust me.
Signatures have nothing to do with trust, but providing services has. If you make good graphics or better signatures and sell them for BTC and if your buyer is satisfied with your work, you can get good trust ratings from them and others as well based on their convenience.

Quote
Or for more serious stuff like losing BTC in a scam?

If a user scams, Scam Accusations is the correct place to head towards before issuing any trust ratings to the scammer. Prove the person wrong with proofs and then give a rating is what I believe to be the best option.

Quote
Whats the right etiquette when handling these things?

It depends on a case-by-case basis and in what manner the scam / trade / service was conducted as each case has a different outcome.

Quote
On a side note whats DT Members mean?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0
Some info can be gained here about what DT members are. They're actually some highly trusted members who have done something special for the community or are active in trading - in simple words, extra trustworthy amongst the whole community (sometimes even highly trusted members turn out to be scammers so do your own research - DYOR before you go ahead).
2215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bitcoin Mixer? on: May 29, 2019, 11:39:02 AM
Sometimes i dont understand how the anonymity of the coin left, all trade can be traced but with this, if we are sure this is safe and not expensive we could adopt it more. Sometimes we dont demand or need this anonymity but I wonder what happen to this feature.

It is actually about how you want to carry out a transaction.

Basically, as an example, if you're Alice and you've got an address named X and you're sending money to Bob and you choose to send him the coins directly, you'll use the address once and for whatsoever reasons, there's a website named https://walletexplorer.com which will be able to trace all your future transactions from addresses linked to that wallet if you keep using it. Nonetheless, even if you send coins to Bob from an address whose private key is held by you and you may have used it before already and/or have signed messages from that address, it's definitely easy to trace you. While if you choose to go for mixers (who charge from almost little to nothing), even if you continue to use the same address to send money to Bob, your wallet X will be sending coins to a different address every time you use a mixing service and nobody can actually trace ya people without knowing both of you personally and having links to your addresses. I sometimes use gambling websites to ^mix up^ my coins as they allow me to send my coins to their addresses (a unique one every single time) and I can withdraw at any address I want without the fear of getting traced but costs (as transaction fees) are very high compared to mixers. So it's better to use a mixer as it has all the properties of Dark coins' services to serve their users with enhanced privacy levels. Chipmixer doesn't really deserve to be 2nd in OP's list but it is actually the number one mixer and I've personally used it without any fear of losing my money.
2216  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Youtube channel -- what do you think? on: May 24, 2019, 11:13:59 PM
I've had been skeptical about finding a good crypto related YouTube channel, and trust me, I've only encountered disappointments whenever tried as whatever I expected to watch in their videos, I didn't get that and that's the reason most of these channels are either bullshit that try to drag the price by influencing a set of groups following them, or some just like radio with no infographics in between (some don't even have real people talking but just a black screen with the audio going on).

A few things I'd suggest you to get your channel working:

Summary:

Give a summary of what you're going to tell your audience. They'll surely love it to know things in a much better way if you've really got what it takes to gather them after your videos get posted.

Engage:

Try to engage with your audience in such a way that whenever they watch your videos, they shouldn't feel like you're inside the screen but make them believe that you're in front of them talking to them.

Episodes:

Instead of going uniquely on each topic, add them one by one in such a way that you could easily make episodes of them and show your stuff to your audience in parts.

Infographics:

Add some infographics to your videos describing most of your content in it so that those who are in a hurry and can't watch part/whole video may just take a snapshot or you just give them links to those infographics in the description.

Suspense:

Don't forget this thing that if you want to make your audience visit your channel again and again to watch your latest videos, add up some spice by adding some drama (in your speech) and suspense in the end of each episode you produce.

Subscribe & Share mantra:

Never forget to get your audience to click on that hot red "Subscribe" button as well as make them press the bell icon to receive all the updates regarding any new videos you publish. And also ask them politely to share your videos to their friends and family as well as groups they're involved in, this one would work like a charm as nothing works better than word of mouth advertisement.
2217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Single best piece of advice for a beginner on Bitcoin Talk? on: May 24, 2019, 10:30:44 PM
You didn't take things wrongly my mate, and that's what I liked about you. Liked your attitude that you didn't just come up and shout out without knowing what you're talking about, but you actually understood the fact behind, and then responded. The best part would be to be on-topic and only post in self-moderated ones if you actually know the fact OP explained (as it shows that even newbies are interested in keeping the forum clean from spam, after all we're all helping hands for each other and to keep it clean, we need to work around with each other's hands in hands). Another advice would be to not give any of your personal info to anybody (not even ICOs) as most of them would just sell your stuff for some money and your data will then be misused (sorry if that's off-topic but I guess its needed here).

2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will they ever find Satoshi Nakamoto? Make your prediction... on: May 24, 2019, 09:49:32 PM
I'd rather say a different answer here, I'd actually never believe anybody coming up and saying that he's Satoshi Nakamoto even if he is, in fact, the real one. There are many reasons why he's not coming up and "maybe" not even touching even a "Satoshi" out of his coins. There had been enough drama created at first by Craig Wright to prove himself to be Satoshi (all he was doing was just to play his pump and dump game with his BSV coin and he actually succeeded in this) and as well he was a bit successful in making a few part of the community to actually believe he is. Well, I don't give a fuck to him. A person who can file a lawsuit (to demonstrate his power) against an innocent guy who just shared his opinion via a tweet can never be Satoshi et al. After that came McAfee who claimed something and said he'd eat his dick if that doesn't happen (sorry I don't remember this), he even claimed he knew Satoshi and that he could (and was going to) reveal him but some law firm asked him to stop his plans right there and leave the things going as it is, here's the tweet about that - https://mobile.twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/1120803594041688069

Really Mr. McAfee? You really think we would ever believe a dormant like you?

And last but not the least, this website that became a pain in the ass for many I guess - http://gotsatoshi.com/ (Don't visit as it has got nothing but an advertisement in a stupid video). They claimed to reveal Satoshi with a countdown over their website, a strategic plan into effect to gain the attraction of people at first and endorse their product in front of them later onwards.

With all these trials, I'd respectfully encourage you people to please put all the power of the last poop of your ass and try the hell out there to find out Satoshi, but you'll never ever be able to get to him, never, ever.

P.S.: May sound a bit off-topic, but I thought to add some spice to make you laugh at the end of my post. Satoshi may be an Indian as the name looks to have a missing letter "n" in between which makes it "Santoshi". Here, in India, Santoshi is the name of the Goddess of satisfaction, Santoshi means satisfier. Satoshi has done everything to satisfy the needs of the current investors as well as those who are interested in earning money by owning it.
2220  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobs Created by the Blockchain & Bitcoin on: May 24, 2019, 04:23:32 PM
I've also seen jobs like Blockchain analyst as well as Blockchain development jobs with key understanding of Blockchain. But to my belief, I see that the standards set by the industry are not really for an average Joe and really needs someone who's got some great knowledge of computer languages like C++, Java and Python as well as proven hold over cryptography. So even if they're done of the industry's highly paid jobs, don't you think it's so easy to get a taste of them as the competition has grown after crypto has started to gain a lot of attention and security levels are to be taken to an all new level by the combination of all these occupation-holders.
