2221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what happens to bitcoin if the electricity and internet goes out.? on: October 27, 2022, 10:05:24 PM
I'm a newbie in bitcoin, and I want to ask everyone, what happens to bitcoin if the electricity and internet in this world goes out? whether bitcoin buying and selling transactions are still running or not?

I'm sure you've got good answers from others but I'll try to answer your question too. Bitcoin is not a physical coin, it takes the internet and electricity to be able to make transactions with it, without electricity and the internet we will not be able to transact with Bitcoin.
2222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Best gambling Token 2022? on: October 27, 2022, 09:56:41 PM
imo the best gambling tokens are the ones that have big circulation and for me, there are 3 best gambling tokens in 2022, those are BFG, OWL and FUN token.

according to coinmarketcap, FUN token is in first place with a large 24-hour circulation, and the second is coinpoker.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: October 27, 2022, 07:47:09 PM
Will PSV be able to maintain the lead considering Arsenal have included their mainstay players such as Thomas Partey, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Jesus after trailing by 2 goals.
the final score was 2-0 with PSV winning, this was arsenal's first defeat in the european league.

the match between union vs braga was very fierce, lucky in the 68th minute Knoche managed to score a goal through a penalty.

I am waiting for the final results of the MU vs sheriff and roma vs hjk matches. really hope that Roma and Manchester United can win big today.

2225  Economy / Economics / Re: Can A Redesign of A Countries Currency Note Improve Its Economy? on: October 27, 2022, 05:38:04 PM
This is related to psychology, most countries redesign their country's fiat note currency with the aim of increasing the interest of money holders and investors. if asked whether it will have an impact on the economy, it can say the impact will still be there but not so significant.

there is also a country that redesigns its banknotes for security purposes (This is the quote I read in an article)

Quote
He added that the issuance of this new currency started with public complaints that the old banknotes were very easy to counterfeit. On the basis of this complaint, the central bank is determined to strengthen the security system for these banknotes. These banknotes are strengthened in security starting from the design, the reliability of the security elements, and the durability of the money material.

2227  Economy / Economics / cryptocurrency and the UK's new prime minister on: October 25, 2022, 07:33:32 PM
newly inaugurated by the king of England, Sunak became the new British PM, but the issue of MPs urging Sunak to pass new rules on cryptocurrencies strengthened.

Quote
The House of Commons, the Parliament's lower house, met on Tuesday for a line-by-line reading of the proposed Financial Services and Markets Bill, which broadly covers the U.K.'s post-Brexit economic strategy. The lawmakers considered a list of proposed amendments to the bill, including one put forward by parliamentarian Andrew Griffith to include crypto assets in the scope of regulated financial services in the country.

The draft bill already included measures to extend existing regulations to payments-focused stablecoins, which are cryptocurrencies pegged to the value of other assets like the U.S. dollar or gold.
source----

In the article, British MPs focused on stablecoins as stable and secure cryptocurrencies. reading about it I was reminded of the CBDC issued by the UK (Britcoin) during Sunak's tenure as finance minister during the prime minister's Boris.

>> the fact about CBDC is that almost nothing goes smoothly even the Bahamas which issued the world's first CBDC also doesn't attract much interest.

Do you think this request will be approved by the new British Prime Minister and in the future, cryptocurrencies (not only stablecoins) will become regulated financial instruments in the UK, and will they make it like what South Africa did?

2228  Economy / Economics / Re: What Does Rishi Sunak Win Mean for Investors in Britian? on: October 25, 2022, 05:58:08 PM
Liz Truss not only resigned as prime minister of England but also resigned from the chair of the British Conservative party leadership, I speculate that this has been planned for a long time.
Sunak has a rich wife, there are rumors that he has supported Sunak all this time. I don't know how politics in England is going, hopefully, with Sunak's rise to the chair of the British Prime Minister, he will be able to solve the crisis that the UK is currently facing.
2229  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of fake Coinmarketcap! on: October 25, 2022, 04:59:12 PM
thank you for reminding everyone. I usually open coinmarketcap to just see the latest news and also price changes in the crypto market so that's why I pinned it in my browser.

The scammer uses a phishing trick to capture people who rarely open CoinMarketcap, for newbies it's better to pinned the CoinMarketcap site in your browser if you open it often and always pay attention to the sites you open, don't carelessly connect your web wallet to websites.
2230  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 24, 2022, 09:32:02 PM
Facebook has wasted too much of its money on these Metaverse craps but it still going nowhere. Most users saw they receive no real benefit over normal Facebook when switching to this Metaverse universe. They knew only Facebook get something out of it: money from advertisers to put ads on the Metaverse place with a huge amount of users hanging around. Of course, Facebook wants to encourage people to use it, paying KOLs to use it and influencing their followers to increase the users count. But as always, your money can't just keep people turning in to use Metaverse when again, no real benefit for the normal users. Unless Facebook changes its approaching, tough luck, they're going to lose more money while their Metaverse craps will keep going nowhere, being a huge money pit.
Facebook spent a lot of money to develop its Metaverse but didn't realize that the public wasn't ready for it. it's too early to believe that the metaverse will be in demand fast, when people's mindsets grow slowly, society still needs more time to accept the metaverse.
metaverse the first boom when the pandemic occurred at that time many people thought that everything would be safer to do at home but after the pandemic ended people returned to their original habits because it was more comfortable to do face-to-face.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 24, 2022, 09:07:26 PM
...

I was really happy when Cristiano Ronaldo came back to Manchester United, but this comeback did not turn into a successful story as Manchester United were not at his level. Unfortunately, Cristiano Ronaldo understood this at the beginning of the season. So, he tried to leave Manchester United and go to another team, but he failed. It seems a little difficult for him to transfer to one of the competitive teams, but he wants it. Otherwise, he will come across many offers from which he can make a lot of money. I have absolutely no doubt about it...

Whatever happens, when evaluated in terms of transfer expectations, we can say that he experienced the worst and most unlucky period of his career. We are watching a season full of regrets for such a great career. I think we have a sad image in front of us from the point of view of everyone.

cristiano ronaldo is one of the living legends of football, who doesn't know him but I am also very concerned about him because he is going through the worst phase of his career. If you look closely, MU and Ten Hag seem to be punishing Cristiano Ronaldo, they seem to say that management is above the players. I would be very happy if I saw cristiano could move to chelsea as is being rumored, he would definitely be appreciated there and may can retire in peace there.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 24, 2022, 07:20:16 PM
...
This is a very sad story to me, which is why I ask these four questions:

Can this guy win the case?
Has anyone experienced not being paid for their winning for real?
Why would they take your big money but refuses to pay big winning?
What could be done to curb this cheating permanently in gambling?

there have been many stories like this happen, bookies always have a trick if they feel threatened by a big win, they will surely bribe all the authorities so that the young man can agree on the number of lottery winnings they offer in court.
if the guy has money then he has to fight for it even though his time, money and energy are wasted, because the bookie is a scammer and has no desire to pay the guy who won the lottery from their company, I hope that guy can win.
2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Education on: October 24, 2022, 07:02:02 PM
Bitcoin was the first decentralized cryptocurrency, which first released as an open-source software in 2009 but didn't reach public attention.

Now, crypto education becomes a priority for world-class education institutions such as University of the Cumberlands (United Kingdom), University of the West of England (United Kingdom), University of Toronto (Canada), University of Warwick (United Kingdom), University of Waterloo (Canada), University of Westminster (United Kingdom), etc.

Learning cryptocurrency will attract you towards the digital world and internet technology. It will prepare you for the future, since digital world is here to stay, and technology is progressing and evolving rapidly.

Is it time for the whole world to embrace, adapt, add it in educational curriculum and teach cryptocurrency to the youth?

It is very important for young people to be able to understand cryptocurrencies so that in the future when they are in power in government, they can make decisions about whether adopting cryptocurrencies is good or bad.
besides that out there are still many fake investments that say cryptocurrency, with in-depth education, such fraud can be stopped maximally. it's enough to make a FUD about bitcoin, it's time for education about cryptocurrency to spread to everyone, especially the younger generation.
2234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patient, don't get discouraged. on: October 24, 2022, 06:37:52 PM
Often times here, some new forum users have been unable to develop consistency in their contributions here mainly as a result of frustration. They abandon their accounts here before they can get their footing and become an important contributor to various discussions, how sad Embarrassed...and how we other forum users have missed out on another maybe perhaps golden perspective.

This is a wake up call to newbies especially, and all those who are considering quitting forum.

-Your opinions are valid and we want you to stay. Big things always start small, don't get discouraged because there seems to be no attention on your post and no merits given regardless of your activity.

-Even if your contribution get deleted and you get criticism for your point of view, don't get discouraged, work on yourself to be better, but still remain yourself.

-If it is taking you very long to increase in ranks and you almost feel like it will not be possible anytime soon, don't get discouraged, you will get there.

It is okay to take some time off, but please do not cut us off from your perhaps golden contribution.

there is a sentence that says; those who want to leave will definitely leave and those who want to stay will definitely stay. those who leave have other goals and motivations in this forum, they only have a goal for bounties and prizes, not want to contribute to the forum, without a bounty they will leave while those who stay are those who want to stay consistent in the forum, build this forum, the goal they are not bounties but make this forum even bigger.
2235  Economy / Economics / Re: Printing of money doesn't make a country rich but to diversify like a person on: October 24, 2022, 06:10:36 PM
Not to say printing of money is totally bad but if not controlled properly it can lead to hyperinflation.

Circumstances that money can be necessary to be printed is when the country is in short of money because they need money to build industries, give loan to manufacturals and small businesses.

Countries starting up like new independent countries can print money to start the economy properly.

I put a little quote in an article I read about the bad effects of printing a lot of money.

Quote
the reason why the state does not print as much money as possible to be debt free. Instead of being free, uncontrolled printing of money actually makes the national debt increase and the price of goods rises everywhere.

not all countries are able to withstand hyperinflation if they print a lot of money, especially for countries whose currencies are not in demand and have few foreign investors. but the dollar is different, it is an invulnerable currency and has many international transactions so that makes it strong even though it is printed a lot, cmiiw.
2236  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: October 24, 2022, 05:44:30 PM
...
However, I believe that if the problem of corruption can be addressed at a young age, every country's degree of corruption will significantly decline in the near future.

Corrupt officials are those who have no morals and did not receive good teachings from their parents when they were young, so when they are faced with money and power, they consider it their personal property.
whatever it is, the first education that a child must receive is about morals and that must be done by parents. I always teach my children not to take the rights of others even though their lives are difficult and in poverty.

2237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nigerian Leads the Crypto (Bitcoin)World in Africa on: October 23, 2022, 09:18:48 PM

based on data from Finder, Nigeria is the second largest global cryptocurrency ownership in the world after India, it's really surprising to see how enthusiastic youth in nigeria are about cryptocurrencies.
These numbers seem grossly exaggerated to me as I seriously doubt that almost 1/3 of Indians or 1/4 Nigerians own cryptocurrencies. I have no doubt that crypto is popular in developing countries as it helps unbanked people, but I think that all those sites are pulling the numbers out of their ass, or they do a survey on a small amount of people that results in the skewed picture like in that link/image you shared.

data is data, you don't have to think hard about it, I also live in a country far from Nigeria so I'm not sure if the data is correct but what I do know is that the Nigerian people are very enthusiastic about cryptocurrencies (based on that data).
Many people in developing countries (including mine) wish to change their fate via cryptocurrencies, so it's no wonder why countries like India are leading the way, cryptocurrencies are changing the lives of many people in developing countries.
2238  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I know about Bitcoin on: October 23, 2022, 08:59:55 PM
I came across Bitcoin on Facebook ads but Ido about it
until a friend of mine who knows about cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) agreed to teach me everything about Bitcoin and how to trade and have my own wallet.

He  taught me Bitcoin as digital currency or online cash that is used for buying products and services and so on.
Bitcoin has been existing since 2009 but I was not aware of it untill 2021.I was having no money to invest after my friend taught me about Bitcoin time and also I was not having a concrete knowledge on it so in the month of May 2022. He has been teaching me. I have gotten small knowledge on it and now I have my own Bitcoin  Wallet.
congrats because you already have a bitcoin wallet and understand using it. because you are a newbie, it would be nice if you read the available rules and guides, so you can quickly adapt to this forum.

it's really good luck for you to get to know bitcoin, I also initially knew bitcoin and this forum because of the teachings and invitations from my coworkers at the old company. until now I'm still active in this forum and have a few satoshis that I hold.

2239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 23, 2022, 03:51:39 PM
Taking care of their children is the duty of parents until they are adults and even many parents still take care of their children after they grow up. And if parents can accompany their children well and not set a bad example, they can hope that their children will not do anything bad.

And if their kids start to get addicted, it will be a tough task for the parents to help them out of the problem. Parents should always accompany their child who is experiencing addiction so that his child can understand that he is not alone in solving his addiction.

over time, our human thoughts will definitely form by themselves (all humans experience that) if we don't guide them then the impact on their future is really big, I can't imagine my kids becoming gambling addicts in the future, it will definitely hurt my heart.

Children have become attached to their parents since they were born, even animals guide their children to be able to live independently. Parents who don't guide their children in a good direction can be said to be failed parents.

I will continue to guide my children even when they are married later, I have given a lot of sweat-money-time-sacrifice for them, if they become criminals or gambling addicts, I am clearly guilty.

I appreciate your thoughts OP but I agree with @lovemayfamilis that if you compare this forum to social media then it's not an apples-to-apples comparison, this forum is simpler but more valuable than social media.

I still remember the saying that on social media there are a lot of fakes, you can even look smart in your posts even if you don't, if in this forum we can see for ourselves the comparison and there is minimal falsehood, you can't even make technical posts if you don't master it or gambling posts if you don't like it.
