Confirmed - will release later when I get my escrow NetBook outta the safe. The tip is not needed, considering that you've been such a great help with the ATC fiasco.  Grin

Will update the sheet when I get home, thanks.

How's Ataxx going with the BTC? It would be awesome to nail this in a few hours! Grin

You are correct, John.
It is Labor day... and it is a 3 day event.
I originally thought that it BEGAN on May 1, but this year it begins Monday 4/29.

In light of the Labor Day National Holidays, I vote that Avalon receives our order Sunday at the latest.
BitSymCom should be reached to see if they will be in office on what we call 'the weekend'.

Hmm... Labour day is not celebrated since 2007 in China AFAIK. I guess we'll have to confirm with Avalon for their holidays though.
2265  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 26, 2013, 01:10:21 AM
I like it, ragin...

IMO (granted, I M n00b) - I would like Avalon to receive our order by THEIR close of business Tuesday, at the VERY latest.
May Day they will not be working, in all probibilty... will they work at all the remainder of the week?

There's no May day at China.

I see the tx but I can't edit it atm as I'm on mobile. I'll update the sheet when I get home, thanks.
2267  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 26, 2013, 12:44:56 AM
Well, I am accepting all orders currently to reach that complete point - if anyone's funds comes in before OP's or Ataxx's I will honor them.

As for deadlines, I would put that at next Tues/Wed at latest, and probably earlier as I fully expect Ataxx's funds to cover the remaining balance of what's remaining.
2268  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 26, 2013, 12:33:45 AM
Use the spreadsheet calculator, or do the math yourself:

(((num. chips)/10000)*780*1.025)+0.035 =BTC needed in total for 1 member
2269  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 11:59:53 PM
I'm trying to get more people in on the group buy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187836.0

The offer in that post also extends to everyone in this thread. I'll get your chips mounted along with mine for just a 5% markup from my out-of-pocket cost, plus shipping. (And if you're in Oregon, you can always swing by Portland for in-person pickup to save on shipping costs.)
Another reason to get this done.

I am in with 5 BTC

Thanks!

Please send the coins to the address and confirm here. (also make sure of your amount - 5BTC exactly will net you decimal amounts of chips too) Check the spreadsheet for the calculator.

Moderator duty should be to moderate the posts, not to judge opportunities and alike.

He, like any other member in this forum, has the right to speak out his thoughts so long as it's on topic and not trolling.
2271  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 11:32:32 PM
My take on the deadline issue: there would be no huge difference between getting the order in now and next week as I expect Avalon to ship in stages where orders from a similar time period ships at once. And yes, I'm every part as impatient for this to go through ASAP as this is taking a ton of time for me too. (with the bailing out, re-bailing in, uninformed questions etc etc)

Also, don't forget that zefir and burnin are in switzerland and Germany respectively, so I expect us to get the chips earlier than they do. (less customs issue especially if you're in the states)
2272  Economy / Gambling / Re: New BTC Found on: April 25, 2013, 11:23:55 PM
@Maged, you just went well above your duty here.

This is FULLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

To say that something is a scam, you need some proofs for it, also you need a basic knowledge about program and about GBBG Fund to judge it and to compare to some previous scam.  You should act as a moderator and not as alfa and omega.

You just put yourself on MPOE-PR level.  I am reporting this to this forum administration.  Again, this is NOT acceptable!
We do not delete on topic posts like this - there's countless legit businesses being stated as a scam multiple times. (like mtgox and etc)

That said, I agree Maged is probably correct here. On any other forum this thread would be deleted a long time ago - but we do not delete such threads. Feel free to report to the admin (theymos) about this - I'm sure he'll say the same too.
2273  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 10:58:44 PM
Wow, I'm late to this party. I'm interested in 30 chips, but I don't know how long it will take to buy bitcoins, and get them transfered, as I've never done that before. Is there still a snowball's chance in hell of me getting some of these?  Huh

If you do so before the next Tues/ Wed that is. Ataxx expects his order for coins via a local bitcoiner to go through before or by then and will be sweeping up the rest of this group buy.
2274  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 10:31:58 PM
The OP is shipping from CT, USA most probably. Regarding the deadline issue, I have been in talks with Ataxx and OP with deadlines below. Ataxx is waiting an order of his BTC to go through, via a P2P deal at a local Bitcoin meetup, and that he will be dropping around 200BTC+ and covering most if not all of the group buy (previous paid sales will be honored, of course). OP's waiting for MT.Gox, and I expect him to take no longer than Ataxx.

Reworked the general layout of the new spreadsheet again. I'm lovin' it!  Grin

Well since some people back out I'm down for another 20 chips!

https://blockchain.info/tx/06d821da3dd4d248b0454d44df5aa00c21e4d3999441adf106dd934b427eb9a0

Confirmed, although you overpaid a bit if I am not wrong. Noted that down and it'll probably go forward for shipping from OP to you.

Hmmm I used the little calculator formula on the spreadsheet...If you're not worried I'm not worried...

Edit:
I just noticed you have a tip box up top. Take my left overs and add it to the tip Wink
You mean the one for nebiz who created that spreadsheet? I'll add that to the count, then.  Smiley

Is the fourth letter of your first name the same as the fourth letter of the first name of your wife?

The answer will determine if your evidence checks out as legit or not.  Cheesy

Yes it is. Thus my forum name. Where have I seen you before? PM me please. If I am who you think I am, then you can vouch for me.

2278  Economy / Auctions / Re: 5 BTC for PP [Starts @ $10/ea] on: April 25, 2013, 03:57:05 PM

John , can I close paypal dispute NOW ?
Yes, as the 0.958 BTC are in the escrow address.
Are you going to release the dispute now? John K. is one of the most trusted people here. The money is in escrow, and yet you are still taking your time releasing the dispute. BTC4amazon should start charging you a hassle fee. His PP account now has a negative mark (will remain in account notes even if you do release the dispute). You're pussyfooting around with a man's livelihood over some bitcents. Ridiculous.

Just sent you a bit tip. You do good work in helping facilitate escrow transactions, and the community as a whole appreciates it.
Aww, thanks!  Grin

On a more on-topic issue, zakoliverz why on earth are you waiting for BTC4Amazon to be online when you're releasing this? Just release this, confirm, let BTC4Amazon confirm, and both of you can go on your happy ways never to cross roads again. (and I can release the poor hostage in my Armory wallet - he's pining for home!)

That picture is stolen from, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117905The so I doubt it's legit. Trade with caution guys.
Added warnings.
