Well since some people back out I'm down for another 20 chips!

https://blockchain.info/tx/06d821da3dd4d248b0454d44df5aa00c21e4d3999441adf106dd934b427eb9a0

Confirmed, although you overpaid a bit if I am not wrong. Noted that down and it'll probably go forward for shipping from OP to you.
2282  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction - ASICMINER | 110 shares | 1 BTC each | 1 Day on: April 25, 2013, 01:40:19 PM
Auction ends on April 26, 14:00 GMT.

Minimum bid: 1 BTC
Minimum increment: 0.05 BTC

Selling all my 110 Shares in ASICMiner.

I will need your BTC address, so I can transfer ownership via Friedcat.
Winning Bidders can enjoy your dividends on Wednesday!

Escrow is usual in these trades, but I'll leave that up to bidders to do at their expense (if any). Let me know if you need a recommendation.

Thats expensive as hell dont you think, 1BTC each?

But it could be worth it, unfortunately I'm not in a position to bid like this. I can only afford maybe 1.
They went for 1.3x just now on BTCT.co so 1 is really cheap.

Hey, for 50 chips you'll need 4.0325 BTC. I've reworked the spreadsheet again and ran some tests - it should be 100% correct now hopefully.

well then:

50 chips all paid for.

Confirmed thanks.

Please see the new spreadsheet for the updates, I'm not updating the old now.

interested in ~30 chips, hereby pledging.
requesting PM if things get serious enough to require payment.

It is serious now. First come first serve make a payment or miss out.

If necessary to move this forward I can pay for another 160 chips just let me know when you only need 12.48 + fees and I can pop it in.

And silly question... are there any TAX or IMPORT duties on these 10K chips? Didn't notice that on the OP.

You'll need to add another 12.792BTC on top of your current 25.619 to get a total of 38.411BTC according to my calculator.

PS: I'm not sure about the tax and duties - please ask OP for this.

Thanks JohnK.

Just a note those completed cells in green include fees and shipping correct?

The BTC Paid: column is the amount you guys have paid. The Chips Getting Realistically Round DOWN (value derived from PAID): has already factored in the shipping fees (from Avalon to you - a flat rate of 0.035 currently as OP said he'll foot the rest for easy calculation) and the 2.5%

I've added a chip calculator to the side - copy the sheet and input the amount of chips you want. The exact amount will be shown. (including the 0.035 shipping cost per person, of course)

I has a confused with the spreadsheet.
for 50 chips, how much pay?

It should be 4.0325 according to the formula above, but I'm not 100% sure yet. Just send the coins as that'll be accounted for anyhow - the amount of chips might vary for the moment. There might be a rounding error in the spreadsheet now. (drat Avalon for doing a 780BTC/10k chips)
2288  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 11:16:26 AM
I paid and topped up to get exactly 320 Chips.

Quote
New: Bicknellski   25.619          319.79
Quote
Old:   Bicknellski   24.96       25.6190            320

Just want to make sure I get the 320. JohnK check your decimal places some probably got chopped off and caused a lower rounding error.

I'm exactly in the same situation.

Yeah, the math is faulty here if I'm not wrong. ((320/10000)*(780)*(1.025))+0.035 = 25.619
I'll rework the spreadsheet and see.
2289  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 06:19:32 AM

Thanks!  One comment, please change the formula in column G, "Chips getting realistically", to the following:

=if(C9>0,$G$5*(C9-(C9*$G$3-C9))-$G$4,$G$5*(F9-(F9*$G$3-F9))-$G$4)

The third segment is changed to reflect the column "F" which has the shipping and fees included, since this formula subtracts shipping and fees.
Will this work for each row? I'm thinking no as it's different for each row -  I'm hopeless with spreadsheets. =P

No worries, the if statement actually will capture if there is a paid value and use that, and if there is no paid value it will attempt to use the value in column F.

Column F will have a value if Column D has a pledge, and if there is no pledge AND there is no paid, then the value will either be zero or error, both of which are equivalent (and valid) for this.

I've replaced your equation but the value is still slightly off the value in the original spreadsheet.  Huh

nebiz is currently helping us redo the messy spreadsheet we have now. Thanks again!  Smiley
Awesome, thats good to hear.  I'd love to send another 6 BTC before I go to bed tonight, but I just have no idea how much i need to save for other supplies.  I mean looking at the BOM as it is, all I can gather is that its going to cost me about 8 dollars in materials per chip.  which is obviously not true, but I can't really make any other estimates without either having some more information, or better understanding the information that is given.  Does anyone have even a rough estimate of how much it will cost per chip at 500+ chips total?
You get 12.8205 chips per BTC if I'm not wrong, excluding the 2.5% fees and fixed 0.035 shipping fees. Play with the current spreadsheet to get an idea of how much you're getting.
sorry, what I mean is I am trying to figure out how much it is going to cost me in supplies per chip, eg. power supply, PCB's, resistors, capacitors, etc.  I'm having trouble figuring this out using the current spreadsheet.
Not sure about that as we're only doing a group buy for purely chips currently. I expect OP to inform you the costs should you prefer to have him manufacture the boards from the chips though.

Is Multi-Level Marketing ideal for bitcoin?

I found a MLM website using BTC, but before I join it, I want to ask fellows in this forum, why wasn't any popular MLM service before?

any idea?

MLM depends on who is running it. What is the link to their site?

https://btcmlm.org

I personally think they're promising.

If I'm not wrong, I've banned some of their owners here for spamming this site everywhere.

@ ragingazn628 :

Please see if you can get the assembly done in US without back and forth with burnin's group - this will have significant advantage. I bought in your group with this hope (this is not a binding expectation, but a hope). Thanks!

There's discussion on this few pages back - OP stated he's in talks with local engineers to get this done though.

Ok, great - but this sort of discussion needs to be linked to OP - massively helps (a direct link to relevant post would do). Also the original post would benefit from some organized writing.

*pokes ragingazn628 about this*  Wink
