Here are the results from the games that took place today:

Brentford 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
Crystal Palace 0-3 Fulham
Everton 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Leicester City 0-3 Newcastle United
Southampton 1-3 Brighton and Hove Albion

Another loss for Lampard as Everton manager. Frankly, is Frank good enough to be a Premier League manager? Newcastle score a big win at Leicester and show their determination at trying to finish in a Champions League position. They currently sit in 2nd place now behind leaders Arsenal. As for Tottenham, they had to fight back to salvage a draw at Brentford. Welcome back to the Premier league after the winter World Cup in Qatar  Grin

Aston Villa vs Liverpool and Arsenal vs West Ham United are late kick-offs and results will be posted later after the games have ended.
2302  Economy / Reputation / Re: Members Asking For Neutral Trust To Be Removed on: December 26, 2022, 05:44:23 PM
It is likely that your neutral tag will somehow affect the managers who are considering the account for acceptance into their company signature, and this is something that accounts with a neutral tag are afraid of. Although everyone assumes that managers always recruit by checking their posting history. You have created a lot of noise and fear for people wearing your neutral tags, and I think this is such a wave of disagreement. Of course, I would not react in any way to ultimatum statements not to participate in subscription companies until the tag is removed if the person really deserved such a review. As they say, do what you want. The question is whether everyone deserves this tag.
This is the part that I find utterly confusing. I have always known campaign managers taking on participants based on their posting rather than just feedback. Even negative trusts are reviewed and if deemed unfair or unwarranted would probably be dismissed by competent campaign managers. For the first time I have known, a campaign manager recently took on participants without issues with their neutral tags and then after employing them asked the participants to see if they can get the neutral tags removed.

They only write to me asking me to remove negative tags, and that is extremely rare. Usually, people understand that they themselves are to blame.
I know not all tags should remain permanently, they can be revised and it depends on the situation but even when they know they are the ones to blame they seem to find the courage to ask for tags to be removed especially when trolls and attention-seekers with ulterior motives and vendettas jump on the bandwagon and use every opportunity to start attacks in the hope they can encourage members from distrusting me.

Seeing this type of low-level barrel scraping desperation vendetta by a couple of trolls and attention-seekers has probably helped encourage some to try to ask for tags to be removed.

Probably you, JollyGood, should start complaining to the moderators if a person is spamming, and let them decide and delete posts, or maybe ban them for a while.
I will definitely start doing that too, thank you for the suggestion  Wink

Back to you: I appreciate that you're starting to use more neutral instead of negative. That helps against "inflation" of the value of a negative, and it's less drastic. The only neutrals in your list that I think may be inappropriate are the ones saying "Note to self". There's a userscript for that. If it was intended for public viewing, you didn't have to add the "Note to self".
Additionally, since the Reference links lead to a a deleted post in your own self-moderated topic, I think deleting the post would have been enough.
Yes that is something I thought about later, the references have been deleted in several cases and that was because the post was deleted. I hope I will have a workaround for that in future if I give tags.

I don't think this is some kind of conspiracy or organized action against you. Rather I would say that this is your isolated case because you left any feedback. many have a negative connotation, although you set them as neutral. as a DT member, you somehow have an obligation to look at all requests to withdraw your feedback, so a large number of requests is just the result of many of your ratings. of course, it's up to you if it's not an unnecessary waste of your time.
I am happy to review any feedback if a request is made, I have no problem at all with that. I also believe there is no conspiracy as such but the timing is suspect.

In a post yahoo62278 suggested I should be flexible on the reviewing between 8-12 months after a request has been made, which means after an initial request has been made and if I reject it I should review it earlier depending on the recent quality of their posts. I am happy to take that advice and did do recently and remove a neutral because the member has contributed positively in global and local boards.

It is better to discuss such things publicly, so I always refer to a relevant topic where the defendant can complain if he wants to. I have received PMs from some people asking for my opinion on neutral feedback posts, and I always respond with my thoughts. I do not mind public discussion, but in some cases it is better to avoid any potential conflict by PMing each other directly.
Absolutely correct. The references should be there but the posts were deleted, it would have been better to keep the reference points but the thread also needed cleaning. Having said that the deleted posts should be available for viewing if they were scraped.

JollyGood, I noticed that you mentioned a particular signature campaign. Could you share publicly which campaign it is about and which members specifically contacted you? It is possible that the signature campaign manager made this a requirement, though I have never seen such requirements before.
Royse777 is managing the sinbad.io campaign. Though something went wrong with the post which received the neutral tag for the OP in the other thread (the neutral tag deservedly has been removed), the second signature campaign applicant also was allowed on to the signature campaign with the neutral tag and it became a problem later. If it was a requirement from the campaign manager it should have not have been an issue after applicants were selected for campaigns. I also have never seen such a requirement before.

Last appeal I received was from LTC casino back in October.... Probably because of this neutral feedback I left them

LTC Casino    2022-07-02    Reference    Revised from negative to neutral. There was a scam accusation against them, but they now started paying the victim.
In the case of the casino, it seems they sent the same PM request to all those that tagged their account including yourself. It could be a case of them wanting their name clear of accusations for the sake a business whereas some members want their name clear for the sake of joining or applying to join signature campaigns.

Are you a dt gang member? If yes then that's normal, I don't know why people worry about neutral feed back, it actually look cool to have the middle digit going up instead of just being a boring zero. If the feed back doesn't serve any purpose then there is no need for it to exist, forgive and move on, someday someone will do the same for you.
I (alongside other members) do rotate in and out of DT1. I also do not know why some members worry about neutral tags. In the recent case, I was happy to remove the neutral tag after reviewing the posting history because the member is definitely contributing positively but others seem to have taken that as a sign to try to make their own attempt.

I have left quite a few neutral trusts for shitposting, excessive trolling and other abuses as well but I didn't receive any PMs recently to remove that neutral trust. Maybe it's just because I've explained each neutral feedback in detail or the members are well aware that if they continue their abuse (also via "unsolicited PMs"), it won't get better. If some members are admitting their mistakes, I'm always open to remove a neutral trust but I like to keep it public, for public record. The best feedbacks are, where everyone can review the evidence via reference link.
Like you I am open to removing/reviewing neutral (and negative) trust and without a doubt the biggest error was to remove the reference. Hopefully I will not be repeating that mistake because others should be able to view and/or scrutinise then comment if valid need arises.

@OP
Regarding your PMs: I would review a particular neutral trust if the request via PM is really honest, constructive and the member is willing to admit his mistake. But that's also including that the abuse which has led to that trust, is lenient enough to be removed from the account's trust page.
If the PM is not constructive at all or the abuse has been simply too harsh, I would keep the neutral trust even longer.
Probably, if someone is sending you repeatedly PMs requesting to remove a neutral trust, it could be considered as "unsolicited PM spam" and could be reported.
Thank you for the advice. I have over the years received both sincere and highly deceptive PMs asking for trust to be removed. I try to be courteous when engaging with members to understand their views but usually their sincerity can be picked up after a couple of sentences.

And for your particular case, it really looks like that these people only care to get rid of your neutral trust due to paid signature campaigns.
So, your neutral trust is most likely very accurate to "warn" campaign managers about signature spammers.  Cheesy
You are right, nearly all the requests from years ago to those being made today are related to signature campaigns but I have to be honest and add that I am only but human and am therefore more than capable of making errors. I have acknowledged several over the years but I do not understand the desperation of some members to have their feedback removed when it is just a neutral tag. Previous PM requests have even been from members with multiple tags and they were probably trying to have them all removed or just mine for reasons unknown.

---------------

Thank you to all. As my reply has got long I will reply to the remaining members in another post.
2303  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: December 26, 2022, 03:10:06 PM
Going into a bit more detail now. Prior to my 1st open heart surgery, I had undergone multiple tests including CTs and ultrasounds and right heart catheter which were checking the size of my aneurysm as well as my ejection fraction and the pressures in my heart. 15% was where my squeeze was prior to the surgery and on average most people are in the 55% range at my age. Shortly after the open heart(3 months or so) I had another ultrasound performed to check my ejection fraction. I had moved up into the 30% range and we thought my heart was starting to heal. Less than 6 months later another ultrasound was performed and a heart catheter a few weeks later. My squeeze had dropped back down to 15%.

Directly after the heart catheter was performed, I was admitted into the hospital. I was there for a week getting a workup for a heart transplant. I got 6 months' worth of tests done in 9 days. I had been approved to be on the list at status 4 in August. Then my insurance jumped in and made me go to 1 of their providers. That made me have to get alot of testing redone along with more added. I have a defibrillator implanted in the left side of my chest. Last Sunday I also had 28 teeth pulled. Now I'm basically getting through the holidays and the big part of the process begins. I'll get another right heart catheter and be immediately admitted. I will also get some sort of pump implanted. Being as I have a mechanical valve, they will not do a normal heart pump.

Who knows if I will start another thread discussing the transplant or the length of time I may live. Who knows how many would actually be interested in knowing. I'll cross that bridge at a later date.
Please be rest assured we are looking forward to reading your threads after you recover. You will live a long life after the transplant and you will enjoy your time with your friends and family.

I did not know defibrillators could be fitted internally and has no idea about the teeth being pulled out as a precaution to bacteria possibly living on plaque which could cause problems for the heart via the bloodstreams. I have learned a lot from reading this thread and it has affected me (and no doubt others) a lot.

You have been through so much yet you never complained or mentioned it once to my knowledge. You will be in my thoughts throughout this period. I am certain you will be back posting within a short time after the transplant. Wishing the best for you and your family in this extremely painful and stressful time.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: December 24, 2022, 09:05:44 AM
It does not make sense for clubs to put out their strongest team for a domestic competition at this early stage (unless semi-final or final) but they will have to do it in order to try to get three points in the Premier League.

Eventually when clubs start fielding their first choice starting eleven players and go for wins the feel of friendly matches will be gone and they will be as competitive as they can be. If there was not much excitement in the Carabao Cup games it will be nothing but excitement from 26th December onwards when the Premier League action returns because it is all about getting as many points as possible.

I'm going to need a little more time adjusting to club football. The world cup was so exciting I want that same feeling at club level but it won't happen. The caraboa cup match between Man City and Liverpool looked liked a friendly to me. It's going to get interesting with time but right now I feel no excitement about club football the way I used to.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: December 24, 2022, 08:06:34 AM
The game you are referring to between Manchester City and Liverpool which ended 3-2 to Manchester City took place in the Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) and it was not a Premier League game. Your post would have been better placed if you had put in the Carabao Cup thread  Wink

As for the Premier League, as mentioned in an earlier post the games start from 26th December onwards and there will be a succession of games over the new year period.

Manchester City and Liverpool had a great match, scoring five goals together. This time Manchester City won with 3 goals, two of which were scored after great passes by De Bruyne and a couple of times City could score more from the same De Bruyne. Haaland also scored as usual, his scoring sense is just "animal", no chance for the opponent if he is at the edge of the attack.
Liverpool also played well, but from the outside it seemed that they lacked skilled players in attack, and Salah alone was not enough to win. It's good that after so many years Milner is still in the ranks and plays very well, gives out assists and manages to insure the defense.
2306  Economy / Reputation / Members Asking For Neutral Trust To Be Removed on: December 24, 2022, 07:54:52 AM
Recently there have been a number of PMs I have received asking for neutral trust I had left for them months earlier, to be removed. The timing of this has coincided with a particular signature campaign being managed by a particular campaign manager who was vouching for a neutral trust to be removed from a participant but I will not claim that is the only reason I am receiving PMs, I think the timing is suspect that is all. It also has coincided with me removing or revisiting other neutral trust recently.

I have no issues at all in reviewing and/or modifying any trust I have left in the past but the sort of members with dubious conduct sending PMs asking for a neutral trust to be removed is surprising. Their reasons for asking to have the neutral trust to be removed are also hard to believe. One has even stated he stopped posting after I left neutral feedback and wants to join a signature campaign and will only start using the account after/if the neutral feedback has been removed.

In my time here in the forum I have never experienced such a movement by some members with dubious posting history with suspected farm accounts (or alt-accounts) asking for a neutral feedback to be removed and I find it somewhat strange this is happening. It is just a neutral feedback not a negative one yet therefore watching this new trend makes me want to ask if others are receiving PMs too.

In my case I have recently received PMs regarding neutral feedbacks only but have any of you recently received similar PMs asking for either negative or neutral trust to be removed by those that you left them for?

2308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: December 23, 2022, 11:10:38 PM
I am looking forward to the games starting again. Most of the teams have already returned to action in the Carabao Cup but they will be playing Premier League games this holiday weekend starting Monday 26th December 2022:

Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur
Crystal Palace vs Fulham
Everton vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Leicester City vs Newcastle United
Southampton vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Aston Villa vs Liverpool
Arsenal vs West Ham United

^  Finally!  With the World Cup now over and done with, it's now time for the real thing.  Wink  I'm not too keen and excited to make bets on these matches tho but I might.  Lol.  They're def be going to be really unpredictable as it's like it's the start of the season again.  :/  And of course I'm pretty sure there are gonna be injuries from international duty too.  That's what I really hate about the whole thing, be it World Cup, the Euros, etc, etc...

Anyway, I feel like a couple of underdogs could snatch some wins on Boxing Day.  What do you guys think of Brentford draw no bet at 2.80 and Aston Villa draw no bet at 3.10?
2309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: December 23, 2022, 10:30:52 PM
I think it is just hype if they are giving deadlines by which the fight must take place otherwise it will never happen. If the two boxers (Fury and Usyk) decide to have the fight it will take place whether it is before or after 4th March 2023. As for the Middle East as a probable venue, it will take place where the money takes it, that is usual is business.

A unification bout always makes sense.  This caters to a lot of interest and speculation that fuels the game regardless of who is fighting. They target the middle east because many fights in that region are profitable.  It was also stated in the article I shared in bumping this thread.  Hopefully, both camps will come to an agreement else, if the fight doesn't happen before March 4, 2023, the promoter of Usyk, Krassyuk stated that the fight will never happen.
2310  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX Finally Files For Bankruptcy After Binance Refused Bailout on: December 23, 2022, 09:51:23 PM

An update. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has already entered in to some sort of arrangement to travel to the US without extradition by agreeing to be bailed under house arrest in Palo Alto at the home of his parents. The bail has been set at $250 million but since their home is not worth anything near that amount the deal included a bond where the collateral did not have to meet the bail amount.

Effectively, it seems he has been trusted to stay put at his family home until his court case ends on the basis he did not fight extradition.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: December 23, 2022, 06:34:01 PM

I was not aware Abu Dhabi was in the frame was a potential venue. When I mentioned the Middle East as a possibility I was thinking on the lines of Saudi Arabia because they have hosted two Joshua fights there.

Regardless of where the possible venues are touted, there would be no better place for Fury to have it than the UK at a football stadium such as Wembley or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. If Usyk had a choice he would choose a neutral venue therefore any place except the UK. I think the rematch clauses will be inserted therefore two fights should be guaranteed to take place but the winning bid for the venue should implement a clause of their own to ensure they stage the rematch should the losing fighter invoke it.

Bob Arum has been talking as usual saying the boxers have agreed to fight therefore that is a good sign.

Even if there wasn't a war going on it's very unlikely to be held in Ukraine. These mega fights are usually either in the UK, US, or the middle east. When you've got a big British fighter the logical place is to do it in the UK so you can have that massive gate and inf ront of fans, but the middle east also practically being in the same time zone is another option since they often pay 5x the amount they'd get elsewhere and that makes up for the loss in ticket sales. Fury can't go to the USA yet either unless he gets his visa situation sorted so this fight will either be in London or Abu Dhabi. Given the amount of money Fury is gonna be wanting the latter seems more likely. They should probably try get two fights sorted and both parties will probably want a rematch so do one home and abroad.
2312  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: December 23, 2022, 11:59:06 AM
It is really kind of you to mention you have read all the posts, I think we all were fairly sure you would be doing that considering the outpouring of support towards you. You do not have to explain about the text size of the replies, I think we all understand about that.

The most important thing is for you to focus on your health. We understand you will not be able to post regularly in the coming days and to be honest nobody is expecting a running commentary either. The positive messages being sent your way will no doubt continue and most sending them are not expecting one to one replies considering the scale of the thread.

I really appreciate you have taken more than one opportunity to advise us to get checked and that is the best message you could have given. I sincerely hope members here do start booking appointments. Your health comes first, take it easy and try to relax.

The fact you should prioritise any spare time you might have with your family over the forum over this difficult period is another thing we all expect. Just take care of yourself and try to remain as positive as you can, hopefully everything will be fine.

I wanted to write this as a separate post so please don't report it for back to back or whatnot. People will see me replying and might skip over it and not see what I'm going to post here.

I have read every single reply to this point and will continue to do so. I have also quoted and replied to every single person because they took the time to read and reply to the post. I think it is important that people know I read their words. Some only got a thank you and some got a larger reply. That in now way reflects on how I may feel about a person. It just depended on if you asked a question or posted a condition of your own.

I have also sent some merits out but will now stop with that. I want people posting here because they care, not because they want to get a merit. Not sure if anyone is doing the latter, but I see people posting suspicions.

I do appreciate all of you who have taken the time to reply to this point. If you haven't made an appointment to get checked, please consider doing so.
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: December 23, 2022, 11:43:10 AM
It'll almost certainly happen. They seem to have agreed terms in principle and now just have to decide on the venue/county. It's the biggest fight for both of them and I think it's the first time in 20 years that the opportunity to become undisputed champion has been there so they'd be stupid to not get this fight over the line. I'm sure they're trying to wrangle as much money out of the Middle East as possible which is probably the only reason pen hasn't been put to paper yet. The only thing that could hold it up is both fighters mandatory bouts which will be enforced if they don't get this thing signed and officially done soon. I don't think either party will be as stupid to throw away this opportunity over greed.
The fight will go ahead because as you said neither party will be stupid to throw the opportunity away. If they want to maximise sentimental value it stands to reason Usyk would want it to take place in Ukraine but looking at it logically that would be almost impossible. If the boxers want to get the largest possible share of the purse the fight will probably take place in the Middle East. I think it is inevitable, Fury vs Usyk will go ahead in 2023 without either boxer being forced in to mandatory bouts elsewhere.

I'm sure the promoters are hashing out their terms right now, and we'll probably get a lot of talk from Fury's side about how the fight isn't going to happen, and Usyk is taking his time. You know, the usual. I imagine then they'll be more fighting talk, than the banter we've seen recently. Potentially from both sides as Fury starts to annoy Usyk.

It has to happen either that or the Fury vs Joshua fight. No other fights make sense, especially with these fighters being at the tail end of their career.
With the Fury vs Usyk fight being the biggest opportunity for all involved to make phenomenal amounts of money, that is the fight that has to go ahead. Fury was going all out trying to get Joshua in the ring but after losing to Usyk twice it would have been a huge mistake for Joshua to fight Fury and risk losing three consecutive fights.

Surely the Fury vs Usyk fight makes sense over anything else and if the boxers want it they will sign the contracts soon to end the speculation.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: December 22, 2022, 08:45:18 PM
Bumping this thread discussion rather than creating a new one, because there is another USYK-Fury fight discussion roaming around
I had no idea there was another thread, I was not focused on the boxing after the fight that was supposed to happen did not transpire and Fury went off to fight Chisora after Usyk stated he was not going to fight until early 2023 at the earliest.

According to the news[1], Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk location teased as promoter gives promising fight update.  The fight is planned to happen if both parties agree on a date between February 18 and March 4 next year.  They plan to hold the fight on one of the three middle eastern countries because of huge payout.

Quote
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s representatives are currently in talks with three Middle Eastern countries about hosting the proposed heavyweight unification clash in 2023. According to Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, Wembley and Cardiff are also in place as backup options

If the fight won't happen until March 4, Krassyuk claims that if the fight is not made by March 4 then it will never happen.

Hopefully, this news is not a hopium for fans.  It has been long awaited for these two giants to have a unification fight but one way or another the fight never happen and this time I hope the two camp agreed to get it on.
It is the fight boxing fans want to see because unification bouts do not come along frequently. Where there is money there will be a way to find solutions and I am sure the fight will happen because both fighters are at the very near to end of their careers and would want to retire as unified champion.

This is, of course, the right decision for both of them because they cannot literally fight currently in Ukraine because it may gonna be their worse nightmare if Russia decided to fire a missile in that stadium in the midst of their intense exchanges. Considering their popularity in the middle east, I'm sure it would be a good decision and safe compared to what Usyk wants. It would be a blockbuster there, especially since it's a unification bout for these two, and also Fury once again wants to prove himself he can beat anybody in the weight division.
It is understandable why Usyk would want the fight to take place in Ukraine but in practical terms there is no chance it will go ahead there. Fury should try to push to have the fight in the UK but we will see the drama unfold over the coming days.

To an extent you can understand why members would want to sign up to a signature campaign paying the sort of money 1xbit do but having said that I think we all as a collective have a responsibility to try to minimise the impact they could have on vulnerable and gullible people as well as newbies. It is a thin line in most cases and blurred lines on others occasions when it comes to handling signature campaigns that have such a torrid reputation.

We as a community cannot get it right all the time even with the best of intentions but at the very least we can try our best to take teh course of actino we deem to be best for the majority.

That’s the sad reality but we do our best. You have done a good job tagging members that are greedy enough to wear the signature and promote the casino. I salute you for that. I don’t see any of the signature participant posting on this thread, some of them were quite vocal about the legitimacy of the casino in the beginning. They are now silent though I see them posting in gambling sections.

Please check the feedback that 1xbit have received and please review the thread linked above. Please do not promote a website that has a very dubious history and has been the subject of a very high number of scam allegations.

In my opinion, all complaints should be taken seriously as long as they are presented with evidence. Blockchain transaction IDs along with screenshots and any chat history can provide excellent proof when it comes to backing up an allegation of wrongdoing. If that stage ever comes, then it should not matter if the casino involved is a big reputable one or a new one starting out, they should respond to the allegation and then allow others from the forum to post in the Scam Accusation thread based on what they have read.

The structure of the forum (not just related to 1xbit but all websites that range between highly suspect and out-and-out scams) is as such that they are not moderated in the forum and that is why they have been space to breathe here.

As you rightly said, we cannot kick them out and as they have lost all concerns about their trust ratings there is not way to tackle them. One way to cause some form of disruption to their plans within the forum is to discourage members from participating in their signature campaigns.

There is no solution to the problem unless they authorities close it down or they actually address every single complaint against them and settle all outstanding issues then start a journey towards being a genuine trustworthy business. Unfortunately, things do not seem like they will change any time soon.

I don’t think 1xbit is a worthy discussion. We know they know we can’t kick them out of the forum. It’s obvious they do not care about their trust rating on bitcointalk, they get enough publicity outside the forum with zero or minimal confrontation. No one except us here at bitcointalk care about the illegal activities of 1xbit, they have zero confrontation on the other websites they advertise their casino. if you search on the internet “is 1xbit a scam” you will find a bitcointalk thread about 1xbit on the first page. That’s why the victims of 1xbit keep on coming here to lay their complaints forgetting that bitcointalk isn’t the official page of 1xbit.

If I have this correctly, like Canada most European and Far Eastern countries probably have free medical covered by the state for their citizens but how would that differ from say a private medical health care system when in both circumstances the operations can only go ahead when a consultant agrees to it.

Yes the system is not perfect say in Canada if they control which surgeries you can have but surely the same applies to paid private medical insurance too. How can you as a patient dictate to a consultant which operation you should have and then convince them to sanction it on the basis you pay a monthly premium when a free service would also be operated by a consultant who would make a decision based on medical needs not cost cutting exercises.

Sorry, I have diverted away from the core issue about what you wrote in the OP but it is very upsetting to read that some rich nations are not providing universal free health care for all but are happy to spend their available funds elsewhere.

Regarding your own situation, if the complete process will cost over $1 million what percentage will the insurance company cover? I know you said it would be a good chunk but the definition is vague. Is around 90% correct? If so, that still leaves with a huge $100,000 to cover and it is painfully wrong on so many levels for someone to have to go through that stress when they are literally trying to have an operation to save their life (which in itself is extremely stressful).

One thing I have seen in this thread is the love and compassion that members have within them and are expressing it openly. I hope this is something we all can carry forward long after you have returned to full fitness post-operation.

I am speechless after reading the post. Regardless of what you yourself might say it really does take a lot of courage to put out that much of your private life out there to such a public and open forum. I sympathise with you in the situation you find yourself in.

In a country such as USA where medical care is not provided universally free, it makes you wonder why successive governments spend billion of USD$ on foreign aid and defence when they cannot look after their own citizens aptly.

I hope the operation is a success and hope to see you posting around the forum as you have so for many years.
Thank you. I have spoken with some from Canada where medical is paid for and it's not a perfect system. Apparently they can control what surgeries you can and cannot get. So Idk if I would like that or not. My surgery is going to cost over a million dollars but Insurance will cover a good chunk of that.
