1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 on: June 04, 2023, 09:05:23 AM
A poll has been to the thread. Which team will win the Champions League final will it be Manchester City or Inter Milan. I will be confident enough Inter Milan will be champions of Europe when the two teams meet in Istanbul on 10th June 2023.

Manchester City have already won the domestic double and on course for a treble but I think Inter Milan will win the game and that would leave Manchester City manager Guardiola still with Champions League trophies way back in 2009 and 2011 when on both occasions they beat Manchester United in the finals.

With the amount of money Manchester City have at their disposal being backed up by the Abu Dhabi state, they should have won several Champions League titles by now but they have zero.

1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 04, 2023, 08:57:07 AM
The score was correct at 2-1 but instead of guessing correctly that Manchester United would win it was Manchester City that won  Grin

I have to congratulate them on the win and on winning the domestic double. Having said that I saw the game and like Inter Milan would not be too worried. I think Inter Milan will win the Champions League final.

Looks like your choice was wrong because Manchester City managed to beat Manchester United with a score of 2 - 1.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2023, 05:30:42 PM
RESULT:

Manchester City 2-1 Manchester United

Manchester City have completed the Premier League and FA Cup double. They are also in the final of the Champions League and if they overcome Inter Milan they will win the treble making them the second team after Manchester United in 1999 to achieve that record.

1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2023, 01:40:07 PM
Manchester City have been brilliant throughout most of the season and they are clearly odds-on favourites to win as far as most bookmakers are concerned but Manchester United is the only British team ever to have completed a treble in the same season consisting of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League therefore they will try their best to stop Manchester City winning today.

From a Manchester United perspective even if Manchester City win the Champions League against Inter Milan it would not mean a treble if they can win the game today. Also, they will be hoping they lost today and against Inter Milan.

From a Manchester City perspective, they are on the verge of making history and just two games are in their path, they will try their best to win those games therefore both cup finals will be entertaining games to watch  Grin

I am not supporting Manchester city to win this title, I will prefer Manchester United to win it, but unfortunately my wish may not be enough to stop this Manchester City team that has been excellent from winning this too.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2023, 11:15:34 AM
The odds you received will be changing periodically as always happens and I only listed the odds that Sky gave (Manchester City: 8/15, DRAW: 100/30, Manchester United: 9/2) but to be honest I have no interest on the odds because this game will be too difficult to call.

This game could be a one sided demolition which sees either team winning 5-0 or it could be close with either team winning 1-0. It could be decided in extra-time or go to penalties.

Overall because of the history of what is at stake I think Manchester United will end up winners as Manchester City will not be able to live up to the pressure of being the in the hunt for the treble. I said it a different thread and will reiterate (my opinion here) I think Manchester City will lose both the FA Cup final against Manchester United and the Champions League final against Inter Milan.

But sorry there was an error, I got Odds 1.50 but previously wrote 1.60, I hope you can understand that.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2023, 09:40:50 AM
These are the latest odds that I can find on the score after 90 minutes of play and Manchester City are clear favourites to win but this is a cup final and not only can anything happen but the underdogs have a habit of causing upsets.

HOME: 8/15
DRAW: 100/30
AWAY: 9/2

However the task is not going to be easy as Manchester United has few injuries and City has a completely fit squad hence I hope that Ten Hag can come up with some brilliant tactics to defeat City.
The biggest advantage Manchester City have is their squad is virtually fit whereas Manchester United do have a few injuries but that cannot be an excuse because the squad for any top level team should be strong enough to cover any unforeseen injuries.

But who can predict the whims of football? Anything can happen, and we are in the dark as to what will unfold in today's final.
You are right without a doubt  Grin

I got Odds of 1.60 for Manchester City's victory in today's FA Cup final.
Will you place a bet?
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 02, 2023, 11:40:18 PM
A poll has been added now to ask for your opinions on who you think will win the FA Cup when the two teams meet at Wembley Stadium on 3rd June 2023.

If Manchester City win they will go in to the Champions League final against Inter Milan with the prospect of winning the treble and that is incentive enough for Manchester United to win the game and end the season with 3rd place in the Premier League as well as by winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

It will be a close game but I think the score will be Manchester City 1-2 Manchester United  Grin
1448  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: June 02, 2023, 04:46:41 PM
Cryptotalk was always synonymous with spamming and low-level posting and that was from the days it was being promoted in this forum by the Yobit team (if memory serves correct Yobit own/operate Cryptotalk).

As for Altcointalk, I never used it but did have a brief look at it to see what it was about and it seems to be nothing special but from the outside looking in this forum will probably be seen as nothing special too. I guess Twitter it is then  Grin

I ported my BTT to Altcointalk a few years ago when I was still an SR member here and I can confidently tell you that I didn't stay for more than a week before abandoning my account and leaving the forum, the place is total hell for those that want to discuss bitcoin, its more about shitcoin speculation forum, same with Cryptotalk where they paid members to post with some shitty token, it was in Satoshi in the early days but now they created a worthless token and that's whats holding some members over there.

The majority of Altcointalk's Hero and Legendary members are banned BTT users who port their rank to Altcointalk. (Account transfer is no longer permitted.)
1449  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: June 02, 2023, 01:37:13 PM
Twitter has come a long way in the pecking order for Bitcoin and crypto enthusiasts in general because once upon a time it was not the place to be for those types of discussions.

What are your views on the Altcoinstalk and Cryptotalk forums specifically about why crypto enthusiasts do (or do not) use them? It has to be realated to something beyond spam and content quality because those issues are being suffered in this forum too.

Can you provide links to where have people gone to discuss crypto related matters? Apart from "altcoinstalks" and "cryptotalk" there is not much that comes to mind except occasional questions you might find on "stackoverflow"
The majority of real Bitcoiners are now on Twitter, where much of the discussion takes place with less spam..
1450  Economy / Reputation / Re: I require community feedback on: June 02, 2023, 01:20:58 PM
Well this response from you certainly puts a new angle on the subject matter.

I have not determined or concluded whether or not AI was used but well done for you to come here and to stand your ground. If you say you did not use AI and there is no certain way to prove you did or you did not then creating this thread was probably a waste of time when the OP could have sent you a PM to discuss the issue beforehand.

Believe me I never use AI. I always try to follow the signature campaign rules and post my own way. Monitor your posts carefully with AI detector. I always write by my own hand.
And I respect my campaign manager a lot.
Basically I am very active and post for several weeks to get bonus but you can trust me I never post AI generated. I follow @Royse777 manager's campaign rules all the time and also know that AI generated posts in his campaign lead to account bans. Why would I knowingly harm myself? Please check my posts again and judge.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 02, 2023, 10:10:00 AM
Sevilla 1-1 Roma
Sevilla won the game 4-1 on penalties

After the game Mourinho was verbally abusing the referee in the car park, it was the first European final Mourinho had lost as a manager and it was a tough game. Roma had enough chances to win and probably should have but Sevilla had many chances in the second half to put the game away yet failed.

As always with penalties there can never be certainty the best or better team win, in this case the jury is out about who deserved to win over 90 minutes or extra-time but Sevilla are Europa League champions again and congratulations to them.

1452  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 02, 2023, 09:55:05 AM
As far as I know it would make zero difference which jurisdiction the website (or any website) is operating out of because the domain itself (which is .com in this case) can be seized by law enforcement agencies.

As of yet, the 1xbit/1xbit1 website probably has not received enough attention for them to take action but sooner or later one of two things will most probably happen. Either the 1xbit/1xbit1 owners will close down and exit-scam or their domain will be seized effectively shutting them down until they re-open using another domain.

I could have added a third option but that would be an almost impossible task entailing 1xbit/1xbit1 to become a genuine scam-free business but we all are quite sure that will not be happening.

That's why I totally don't understand why @Haunebu thinks it would be easier to shut them down if they were registered in Russia
Did you read my post properly? I clearly mentioned that it won't be easy to bring them down because they are based out of Russia. You clearly misunderstood what I was trying to say here.

Learnt this information from some other member of this forum who provided proper evidence highlighting the fact that 1xbet and 1xbit are operating from Russia.
1453  Economy / Reputation / Re: I would like to talk about a local board but I am not sure. on: June 01, 2023, 07:01:54 PM
As long as it benefit to the company/project you are working it then its fine to work with those people who have great contribution on their local since in the first place you are working to increase the visibility of the site you are promoted and not just hiring forum users which post on global boards.

There's also nothing wrong about accepting users who got red trust, as long as they got that due to misunderstandings or expressing their personal belief then I don't see any problem with this.
Having neutral or negative trust should not automatically mean the candidate should be overlooked for participation in any bounty or signature campaign. All those matters should be at the discretion of the campaign manager.

I don't necessarily think neg tagged members are bad for a campaign. The way the trust system is now, and the way half don't know how to use it, will show a manager that they need to look at the reason for the tags before deciding to keep them out if a campaign.
You can say that again, many (mostly new) members probably do not know how to use the trust system properly and I agree with you as I mentioned above, a negative or neutral tag should not really be the ultimate reason for a campaign manager to refuse a member participation in a campaign.

I mean "not welcome" in a sense that they have negative feedback on their feedback page and the feedbacks were not for any reason such as they scammed.

...

I could tell you the board name and also could tell you the members who left feedback (maybe from not understanding their culture) but situation is like that if I tell the names then others may think I am trying to get some attention to awaken some old bitter experience and maybe is trying to take some personal revenge. I don't want anyone to have such thinking in mind.

Do you mean like JG is one who left negative feedback? Grin
Surely not me  Grin

If a forum user is not willing to change their behavior to accept "international standards" on the forum then they should be willing to understand there's going to be consequences for that when they interact with the broader community.

DT of course isn't perfect, but red trust doesn't have to be only for those who scammed, its for when "you think that trading with this person is high-risk." I don't know what board you're talking about in particular but if its one where the "culture" thinks being dishonest is OK then there's likely gonna be some problems between them and DT.
That is true. If a member conducts within a local board in accordance with local traditions which could be deemed appropriate/normal/acceptable it does not mean those patterns will be deemed appropriate/normal/acceptable in the global boards but having said that we are clutching at straws because the OP has not even made the issue fully known therefore almost impossible to comment upon.
1454  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: June 01, 2023, 06:30:17 PM
I guess the only way we can ever know the answers to your questions is if you (or someone else) were to ask him for an explanation.

From experience it is quite clear when most shady behaviour is called out and questioned there might be some resistance as the culprit tries to save associated accounts from being tagged but eventually they give up on those accounts and start focusing on the other accounts they have farmed for signature campaigns or nefarious purposes.

It sucks to see that some members of this forum like shan85 is dishonest and went this far to switch signatures just to get double pay. I don't know what motivated him to come up with such dubious act. Does he really thinks that he can get double pay without anyone noticing this for a very long time or he decided to try his luck without thinking of the consequences of his action.

This is my first time to hear of this and I have never thought that one can come up with this. I believe anywhere he is now,he will learn to be honest because he would have learnt his lesson.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 01, 2023, 11:17:18 AM
https://cryptonews.com/news/after-eight-years-of-dormancy-long-forgotten-ethereum-ico-wallet-resurfaces-with-15-million-worth-of-funds.htm

At the time of the ICO 1x ETH was sold for around $0.31 therefore the 8000 ETH would have cost the owner around $2480 back in 2017. Those 8000 ETH are now worth around $15 million today.

The article suggests the funds may have been dormant on a Ledger and since Ledger launched their Recover service many people have been taking crypto off Ledgers as a safety precaution.

This message is to inform I had my first smooth withdrawal experience with Whirlwind.
I have been staking my signature campaign for a few weeks and decided to try to withdraw.
I withdrew the signature amount plus the anonymity mining rewards.
I withdrew almost all my funds.
All was good.
Glad to read to you had a pleasant experience withdrawing your funds. Would you be able to elaborate on whether you were happy with the amount of anonymity mining rewards on top of the actual signature campaign funds?

There's always some kind of thrill when doing things like this for the first time. You're not 100% sure that you didn't make a mistake until you see the transaction in your wallet. However I would suggest downloading the letter of guarantee for that purpose.

That is true, the first doing something can have that element of either confusion or fear but it is part of the learning process and as for the Letter of Guarantee, that is highly recommended.
1457  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: June 01, 2023, 10:46:29 AM
This user is using AI for posting and that's why his comment has nearly no sense. I've just checked and the result is 94% for AI for both his posts which are not bounty reports.

Probably we have less users on the forum, but it is good when users of this kind leave us. The less nonsense posters, the less AI posters the better.
Thank you for looking in to this. It is evident AI is becoming more of a problem within the forum and it seems to be growing on a daily basis. As far as a I can see things will only get worse.

He appears to have gotten into an argument with ChatGPT and just copy/pasted the last response  Cheesy

So annoying.

And for this reason 56k active members is too many. We need to cut that number down to about 10k; I reckon half the people logging onto the forum at any given moment are either at or below this level of comprehension.
I would say there are not that many real/genuine active users. What I mean by real/genuine active users is a number well below 56,000 (possibly a couple of thousand at most). That number would increase by several thousand if including real/genuine users that are logging in every 3+ months.

I voted for "Other" in the poll, no surprise its the leading result. The simple reason is peeps have gone elsewhere to discuss Bitcoin- and altcoin-related matters. And that's fine. As I've often said before, this forum is now more of a museum that serves to house Satoshi's posts. That's its primary role. So long as it keeps doing that, everything is fine.
Can you provide links to where have people gone to discuss crypto related matters? Apart from "altcoinstalks" and "cryptotalk" there is not much that comes to mind except occasional questions you might find on "stackoverflow"

Also, a lot of guests/passerbys simply don't want to wade through the enormous ton of shitposts to find the occasional nugget of interesting information. That's probably the main reason why regular people - who aren't interested in making money from the forum - don't sign up and contribute. From the outside looking in its an absolute spamfest.
I agree, any external party looking at the forum from the outside will most probably (at first glance) see this forum as a spammers paradise and that has to be one of the most off-putting elements for new user base retention.

Looking through the posts made in the early years of the forum the priority for those members overwhelmingly seemed to be about learning and contributing.

At some stage after it became monetised beyond the point of PayPal (or pizza) for BTC the momentum shifted to something that is more to do with an individual making money for themselves from bounties and signature campaigns rather than contributing for the better of the community as a whole. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that but if the whole premise of using this forum is based on making an income for the individual it no longer is about what it originally set out to be.

It was mentioned before if signature campaigns were removed from this forum in the hope of cleaning it up, there would be almost nobody left to post and it would render the forum effectively as a museum (as you put it).
1458  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: June 01, 2023, 09:12:17 AM
What exactly is this reply supposed to mean? This is your first post in this thread yet you imply you posted before and not only that you are posting absolute nonsense in relation to the subject matter.

I have gone through your post history and can put together your motive here is to simply build up your account for joining signature campaigns when you are able to and until then to join bounties.

Posting text for the sake of posting does not help you build your account, it hinders your account as it gets noticed and then tagged.

I apologize if my previous response seemed to disregard or overlook your statement. I understand that you were discussing the idea of multi-accounting and expressing your thoughts on the matter. It's true that making speculative claims without concrete evidence can be challenging to validate.

Regarding the use of real photos for KYC (Know Your Customer) verification, it's important to note that people may have various reasons for doing so. While some individuals may not fully consider the potential risks involved, it's also possible that they have made informed decisions based on their own assessments. Different people have different perspectives and may weigh the potential benefits and drawbacks differently.

It's essential to approach discussions about others' decisions or behaviors with empathy and understanding. People's actions may not always align with our own views or expectations, but it's important to respect their autonomy and individual choices. If you have concerns about specific practices or issues, it's generally more productive to engage in constructive dialogue or research to gather more information and gain a better understanding of the situation.

Sevilla vs Roma

The Europa League final is being played this evening. They are currently at half-time and Roma are winning by scoring the solitary goal by Dybala. It looks as though Roma manager Jose Mourinho is going to get yet another European trophy to add to his portfolio.

1460  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay CONFISCATING 291mbtc of fair NBA winnings on: May 31, 2023, 05:39:35 PM
I already left negative feedback for Coinplay some time back (because of their whole conduct throughout the scam allegation) even though I am late posting in this thread, I wanted to highlight what you wrote because that is ultimately what forum members opinions most probably should be based on.

In the end there should be no serious debate about what did or did not take place between the OP and Coinplay because after AskGamblers made their ruling that road is now closed. Anyway, since both parties agreed to take their claim and counter-claim to AskGamblers the common sense outcome would be to accept their judgement otherwise why agree to let AskGamblers evaluate the allegation.

Coinplay have destroyed their reputation in this forum over a 0.291 BTC payout and the chances are they will never be able to repair the damage even if they return and pay the OP what he is owed. Will the flags and feedback be revised/removed by all those tagged?

I've participated in many scam accusation threads.

I'm defending OP because of the way coinplay has handled the situation.

They agreed to use askgamblers.  Askgamblers ruled in favor of OP.  Coinplay didn't pay and just stopped posting.

Let me say that again:

They agreed to use askgamblers.

Askgamblers ruled in favor of OP.

Coinplay didn't pay and just stopped posting.
