1681  Economy / Reputation / Re: Incorrect use of red feedback. on: April 11, 2023, 12:53:00 PM
I avoided participating in the thread but decided to post as my name was mentioned twice falsely accusing me of misdemeanours. Since the accusations against me are ludicrous I will not even address them but I will make some short comments and I would confidently state the vast majority of consensus would agree:

Based on evidence available, I do not believe aifinex, naim027 and Poker Player are alt-accounts. Based on evidence available, I do not believe Poker Player contacted any prospective clients to warn them away from any campaign manager.

Posting on-topic and discussing as per the OP title regarding the use or misuse of negative trust by another member is probably the best thing going forward or for the OP to consider locking the thread if it continues to go off-topic as it serves no purpose unless it stays on-topic.

I find it BS to be honest. I have never contacted anyone to tell them not to work with you.

Me and airfinex being alts is another BS that is obvious to anyone looking at the two profiles. I was also accused at the time that Naim027 and I were alts, so I'm not even going to stop to take it apart.

You can believe it or not, but I neither contacted anyone via Telegram at the time nor have I contacted them now to tell them to hire you or not. The OP did, and I guess other people did too, but not me.

OK, I now got this far in the thread and I have to say that I'm also not buying either of those theories, especially not the Naim027 claim.  He was a very poor writer if I remember correctly, and you are far from that.  That could be faked of course, but I still don't believe you're his or airfinex's alt.

You would not be in violation of forum rules but you should lay out your plans and offers clearly in order to increase chances of success. As a newbie you will not be able to add images to your posts but if they were quoted the images will at least appear.

1683  Economy / Services / Re: 🍀🍀 whirlwind.money | Review Campaign | Write a review & earn up to $100! 🍀🍀 on: April 10, 2023, 08:50:26 PM
My apologies if my reply comes across as offensive to you, it's far from my intentions. I appreciate your honesty, this type of review is exactly what I was looking for. I can only improve the service if I get open feedback.
There was nothing offensive at all. You countered your points in an easy to understand manner and you cannot do more than that when trying to explain the functionality and when correcting misunderstandings as well as misconceptions about how Whirlwind operates.

Pretty well argued. And yep, I guess Whirlwind needs to be deeply explained with a comparison with the other tumblers

(by the way:The point to tumbler your bitcoins is to obfuscate your transactions, not to hide the fact a mixer was used, otherwise it's a big fail)

- About adding trusted people to the multi-sig, I'm not convinced (yet) to be a good solution.
- The risk of a rug-pull will fade once the reputation is established

my 2 cents...
I have to agree, that was a very well articulated and it was an informative post by whirlwindmoney debunking the misinformation.
1684  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Rock Trading Scam www.therocktrading.com Exchange Review fraud truffa on: April 10, 2023, 05:20:25 PM
Has this story began to make any serious headlines in the Italian media? After all, the mere mention of €15-20 million missing from a local company should be making some sort of noise in the media by now.

there is almost nothing around the web about the defeats of the rock trading, unfortunately it is one of the Italian mysteries, but I have to correct myself, it was not 900 eth but € 900,000 equivalent to 300 eth, the only article I found was not from that period but it is recent,

These are the results from the games yesterday:

Leeds United 1-5 Crystal Palace
Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal

Arsenal were 0-2 up but Liverpool stages a comeback and the game ended 2-2. Arsenal still lead the table but of Manchester City win their game in hand they will be just 3 points behind. The next set of games take place on 15th April 2023:

1686  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: April 10, 2023, 03:28:52 PM
Having a forum staff member HostFat adding Paci who is the CTO from Rock Trading to their trust list was (and still is) a very bad move. Currently the Italian based exchange that effectively went bust with the whereabouts of missing millions of USD$ still unknown, has an estimated hole of around €15-20 million.

From having virtually no contact with him, HostFat accused me without any substance at all of being a mercenary for hire purely on the basis I tried to hold Rock Trading to account and supported a victim (Coinfan) who had €35,000 unfairly seized by the exchange as stated here in this thread.

After seeing this staff member HostFat behaving in what could easily be seen as conflict of interest as he displayed pro-Rock Trading comments in his personal website ("profile Disclaimer - Hosting provided free by The Rock Trading") and "The Rock Trading (ref): A good exchange since 2007." in his signature as he went out of his way to defend the now defunct exchange which has been accused of embezzling millions of USD$, I created a thread: Unacceptable Behaviour By Forum Moderator HostFat & Rock Trading owner eliale

Whereas Rock Trading CTO Paci has not been online in the forum for a very long time, Rock Trading CFO eliale had been online frequently until two months ago (which is when Rock Trading exchange effectively went bust).

The staff member HostFat still has not removed paci from his trust list and HostFat was and still is the only member to oppose to the flag raised against eliale.

Maybe HostFat will remove his opposition now that Rock Trading have collapsed and the team behind it are being investigated.

Actually its more than half bad: all bad if you look at trusted feedbacks and 8 out of 14 untrusted are negatives. They have an empty trust list and haven't left a feedback since 2016. This user is the (former) CTO of an exchange which is now effectively bankrupt after being notoriously unreliable for years. Regardless of whether or not this user is at fault, there's no reason they should be on DT. They haven't even logged in since Oct 2021, lol.
1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: April 09, 2023, 09:13:03 AM
These are the game taking place today Sunday 9th April 2023
Leeds United vs Crystal Palace
Liverpool vs Arsenal

Here are the results from the games played yesterday Saturday 8th April 2023
Manchester United 2-0 Everton
Aston Villa 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Brentford 1-2 Newcastle United
Fulham 0-1 West Ham United
Leicester City 0-1 Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Brighton and Hove Albion
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 Chelsea
Southampton 1-4 Manchester City

Lampard returned to Chelsea as caretaker manager until the end of the season but in his first game they lost at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Newcastle United keep up their impressive run as they fight for a top 4 finish to the season and seek qualification for the champions league. Manchester City won away at Southampton to pile the pressure on Arsenal today as they travel to Liverpool.
1688  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | Bitcoin Mixer | Lowest Fees 0.25%-4% | Ultimate Privacy on: April 09, 2023, 08:42:00 AM
If your clearnet website has been under almost continuous DDoS then most probably the only beneficiaries from would be competitors. You have only recently launched your business and it has already been coming under sustained DDoS.

From a business perspective, having any donation based as a sole source of income at the core is something not recommended, while many have succeeded many have not ( and I am not referring to wider business not mixers).

As you have increased the optional fee to 0% it should act as a mechanism for users to increase anonymity as they mix in greater numbers increasing deposits but with that being said I would expect the subsequent 3 months of trading to bring you very little (if any) income via transaction fees.

Changelog

04.09.2023 00:00:00 AM UTC
-Fee is now optional and will be treated as a donation, you can choose any amount between 0% and 4%
-Withdraw fee for each output address was lowered by another 25% from 0.0001BTC to 0.000075BTC
-Most of clearnet stability issues solved - still actively monitoring and testing
-Frontend responsive on mobile
-Backend-signers connection issues solved (the reason some withdrawals were delayed)
-FAQ updated

Update completed - everything is back online working in normal conditions | Please keep in mind that if you experience issues with the Clearnet version it's most likely because of our DDoS protection system, I am still tweaking it while we are under attack continuously. I'll sort it out without a doubt but it takes some time to do that, so until everything is set please use the Tor version if you experience any issues on Clearnet, that will most likely work without any issues at all.

I am working on displaying the anonymity set on the main page for each one of your selected outputs (number of deposits it could have originated from), so users know exactly how anonymous their bitcoin really is after using our service. I still feel like most users are not yet aware of how Whirlwind actually works and why it's the superior choice from a privacy perspective, so understanding what anonymity set means and seeing it grow each time you enter the website should make it easier for everyone to grasp the concept. It's just a matter of time until everyone gets used to the system and understands the undeniable advantages it offers.

I believe the decision to make the fees optional is wise for 2 reasons:
1. The only disadvantage of Whirlwind's mechanism is that at the start of the service the privacy set is weak due to the fact that there are few deposits. Making the fees optional should encourage more users to give the service a try, and by doing this they are helping all future users by increasing the anonymity set, making everything more secure.
2. A donation based business model was already proven to work before

The current plan is to leave the fees optional indefinitely, but if we won't generate enough revenue to be sustainable after the first 3 months we will have to implement a minimum fee again.

I'll answer any question or concern you might have!
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: April 07, 2023, 04:32:00 PM
Liverpool have had a dismal season, getting a win over Arsenal will definitely bring some sort of joy to their fans and will at least indicate to Klopp, the team and the club that they are on the road to recovery. Arsenal are playing very well, it will be a good game to watch.

@JollyGood I expect Liverpool to put up a strong show, because they have more to lose if they don’t beat Arsenal hence my prediction is that Liverpool will win. Also between City and Southampton picking City is an easy choice, but considering that Southampton also desperately needs those 3 points I won’t be surprised if they’re able to stun City by defeating them.

As has been well documented in the media, talks have broken down between the Fury and Usyk teams to get this fight confirmed. Like many of you, I would liked to have seen a unification fight between Fury and Usyk but that might never happen now.

Now that we are sure the fight is not going ahead I have had to unfortunately lock this thread. If in future the fight between Fury and Usyk does take place, I will re-run the lottery making all 58 tickets available again and by making all entries in this thread null and void.

I would like to thank Ratimov for offering to pay $25 towards the prize fund after the winner was to be announced and I would also like to thank Utopia.

For those interested, there is a $50 prize available in another competition here which closes on 22nd April 2023 therefore you have plenty of time to enter:

1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: April 07, 2023, 09:17:57 AM
Wallin gave Fury huge problems when they fought and lost on what many deem to be a dubious points decision but nevertheless Fury was the winner. I think Wallin spoke the truth and many agree with him. Joshua simply cannot get the physical and mental side of his boxing to balance when he fights ever since Ruiz destroyed him with that devastating win.

I cannot work out why Joshua feels pressure, it is not as though he is the greatest heavyweight ever. He is an average boxer with average technical skills. I do remember his once saying he wanted to earn a billion from boxing but that was when he was world champion. Even a blockbuster unification with Fury would not have given him more than maybe $70-$80 million from the fight purse but could the fact that he knows his retirement is near (and his opportunities for pocketing millions are diminishing) playing a part in his mental ability when fights?

Otto Wallin put in perfectly in this tweet,

Quote

@OttoWallin
Joshua is not the same guy anymore. His head is gone and the stuff after the fight shows it even more. He’s feeling too much pressure

1693  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ultimate Bitcoin Privacy - Discussion on: April 07, 2023, 09:03:07 AM
Yes you have been open and transparent about Whirlwind and your posts demonstrate it. I think that is what people here appreciate when a team member or owner interacts with them in a transparent manner taking the time to provide explanations and answer questions no matter how difficult to explain or articulate.

As you stated, members only have your word to go by but the reviews and feedback of the website are positive and as your service progresses members will begin to make their own judgements in increasing numbers about the service and quality of service you provide. I tested the service and posted my review, it is a very simple service to use.

As for mixers seemingly launching on a daily basis, I have to say I cannot recall a time here when this many were being promoted via signature campaigns or a time when this many were using ANN threads frequently. It does provide competition for each other but if you have created something unique from your competitors from a technical perspective then they will have to play catch up.

After a quick navigation of the website anybody can see it is simple to use and the Fast or Notes options are extremely easy to select. It is a basic no-nonsense to the point website that is easy to navigate and that is a plus for end users and that should play a very important part as your business grows.

Having said that one of the fears people must have is about sending funds to mixers at the unfortunate time the mixer decides to exit scam (and to my knowledge it does happen from to time because people end up posting about getting scammed). Keeping that in mind this would be a very difficult question to answer but what can you say here and now to give confidence to forum members that a future exit scam is the furthest thing from your mind and what your very long term strategy is?
It's impossible to answer this question in a way that would have any sort of weight and I don't want to appear like I'm asking users to trust me just because I'm writing some messages here. My expertise/intentions will become clear from my actions as time goes on and that's the only way I can prove myself other than decentralizing the service.

I've been very transparent about every detail of Whirlwind, I've built everything from the ground up. I took the time to analyze every aspect of this business and I believe I came up with something unique in the Bitcoin space, something that our competitors don't even come close to from a technical standpoint.

It seems like a different mixer launches every day, but if you have a more in-depth look you will notice that each one of them has some major issues.
Use of [banned mixer] as their backend/very weak privacy set/ use of Cloudflare/ use of mixing codes which basically means keeping logs.

Even though I could have taken a lot of shortcuts in order to get the service out in 10x less time,  I chose to do everything the right way and made no compromises at all.

I have no idea how I managed to overlook this when I tested the Whirlwind website for my review.

There is no mention of this in the changelog so was that feature always there from day one since the Whirlwind website went live? I cannot understand how I missed that part of the functionality where multiple withdrawals of varying amounts can be made from a single Note. This was one of two recommendations I made in my review but it was there and somehow I missed it during my testing for my review.

Also a few other things I've seen on the forum that I want to address, I will make it clear on the website too when I update the FAQ:

-You can withdraw as many times as you want from a single Note, you don't have to spend its whole balance at once.

As much as already been reviewed and though I have not read them all, I have read some of the reviews in some parts therefore would not want to reiterate the functionality side of things as that has been covered extensively in the reviews here. I would like to review my overall experience and views after touching on the two types of options to mix on Whirlwind.

FAST
This was a simple process. I entered the withdrawal address and chose to receive the amount within zero hours. As expected, I received the funds in under 60 minutes.

NOTE
After the amount was sent I withdrew the Note and chose to receive the amount within zero hours, which they did.

OVERALL VIEWS
I used the service twice (once with Fast and once with Note options) with the minimum 0.001 BTC sent on both occasions. I also used the lowest 0.25% fee on both occasions.

This is an easy to navigate website, there is very little going on with regards to excessive hyperlinks and focus is mainly on the core aspect of the business (which is mixing). The letter of guarantee is made available to download. When sending funds, two confirmations are required before any mixing takes place.

The captcha is an essential part of stopping spam and bots flooding the website, I did not find this one a problem with the 5 characters but during one test of refreshing I am fairly sure I entered the characters correctly but it took four attempts before I finally was allowed to proceed. Not sure what happened there but most probably my error rather than software or configuration issues.

After I withdrew the funds, I tried to go back and try again to withdraw and already withdrawn amount (for testing purposes only and not with the intention of scamming) and the pop-up alerts with a notice can be seen in the images above.

One thing that I noticed was after the withdrawal takes place, it shows Balance After Withdraw 0.00000001 BTC which gives the impression that the end user is owed 0.00000001 BTC (when that amount will be taken for the transaction fee) and it caused a little confusion. A quick attempt trying to withdraw again will show the pop-up alert above.

For the sake of testing functionality for this review, I should have withdrawn to several addresses but opted for one. Also, for both transactions I used Tor browser and found no issues with the settings on the strictest level.

Maybe I will revisit this review and update it if/when I re-test the Whirlwind service with multiple address withdrawals and by using clearnet. My review took place some time back but I posted the images and review just now when I had ample time.

POSSIBLE FUNCTIONALITY TO CONSIDER
Possible improvements or nice-to-haves would include a system where a withdrawal Note can be used to withdraw a percentage of the full associated amount. Technically, it might not be too difficult to have a superseded letter of guarantee to accommodate the disparities between the deposited amount and withdrawn amounts but the Whirlwind owner will know if this is possible (or even feasible) or not.

It could also be useful for a user that has deposited funds at Whirlwind to enter the Note and then have an option to generate a second Note or several Notes for an amount from their balance which could then either be used to withdraw another time or to provide to someone else for example in the form of payment for goods or service or trade. If there is a demand for this sort of service it might be something for the Whirlwind owner to consider implementing one day.

Earlier, the website on Tor was accessible but the clearnet came back with this:
