1881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 16, 2023, 10:49:51 PM
Here are the next set of games taking place on Saturday 18th February:

Aston Villa vs Arsenal
Brentford vs Crystal Palace
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Fulham
Chelsea vs Southampton
Everton vs Leeds United
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Bournemouth
Newcastle United vs Liverpool

Arsenal have a difficult game at Aston Villa whereas Manchester City also have a difficult game against Nottingham Forest. The late kick-off game between Newcastle United and Liverpool has to be the game to watch. Chelsea have a chance to close the gap on the teams above if they manage to defeat Southampton.
1882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 15, 2023, 10:06:42 PM
RESULT:

Arsenal 1-3 Manchester City

It ended 1-1 at half time but at full time Manchester City showed their superiority with a vital 1-3 victory.

Arsenal have lost top spot, they are now second in the league table and Manchester City are sitting at the top.

Clearly Arsenal played well for large parts of the game but Manchester City were by far the better team and deserved the win. I thought they would win and I also think Arsenal with finish the season probably 3rd behind both Manchester teams.

Arsenal's recent matches have been consistently poor with a significant drop in performance from their earlier games in the Premier League and how they started it. Today's match against Manchester City who are just behind them in the standings is proving to be a challenge as Arsenal is already losing 1-0 in first half a goal that been scored by Kevin De Bruyne. If they continue to perform this way they will end up with the same number of points as Manchester City. And even that they still has a chance to improve their standing with a later match, it may not be enough to make up the difference. At the very least they will need to draw this match if they hope to gain an advantage for their next matches
Edit: 3 minutes before the end of first half Arsenal scored the drawn goal with a penalty it’s 1-1 now
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 15, 2023, 07:08:49 PM
@JollyGood while Manchester United was defeated things would have been different had Ronaldo’s offside goal stood, and that ridiculous penalty wasn’t awarded. Furthermore another surprise defeat was Roma, because I felt that Mourinho’s Roma would easily win this match but it looks like that he will have to work on then harder to get the desired result he wants.
Well, many things have happened since you last posted in the thread. The prominent of course being that Ronaldo is no longer at Manchester United. Their game against Barcelona will be the game to watch.

Here are the Europa League games taking place tomorrow 16th February 2023:

Ajax vs 1. FC Union Berlin
Barcelona vs Manchester United
Red Bull Salzburg vs Roma
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Rennes
Bayer Leverkusen vs Monaco
Juventus vs Nantes
Sevilla vs PSV Eindhoven
Sporting Lisbon vs FC Midtjylland
1884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 15, 2023, 07:00:28 PM
There is one Premier League game taking place this evening:

Arsenal vs Manchester City

I am expecting Manchester City to win the game and with that Arsenal will in my opinion finish either second or third when the season ends because they will be battling it out with Manchester United to see who will finish as runners-up.

Arsenal and Manchester City still have to play each other twice this season. The first game is this evening and the next one is in Manchester on 26th April but for some reason Haaland is not effective against the other 4 so-called big teams when playing away. We will see his statistics against Arsenal later because he will be in the starting line-up.

1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 on: February 15, 2023, 06:51:19 PM
Results from the games played yesterday 14th February 2023:

AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Paris Saint-Germain 0-1 Bayern Munich

PSG are in serious danger of going out of the competition in the first knockout stage. Bayern Munich played well enough to deserve a win. Neymar, Mbappe, Messi and Ramos were all playing but they ended up losing with an average display. They looked like they could win the game when Mbappe was brought on but his goals did not count because of offside. Bayern Munich will probably qualify for the next round when they meet again for the second leg.

Tottenham had a disappointing night at AC Milan. They will have to work hard in the return leg to stand any chance of going through but they will have home advantage which just might push them to qualification.

The first leg games being played this evening 15th February 2023 are:

Borussia Dortmund vs Chelsea
Club Brugge vs Benfica

Who do you guys got in the upcoming matches for the CL later?  I don't really follow other European leagues other than the Premier League but I feel like both matches, AC Milan vs Tottenham and PSG vs Bayern, will end up as draws with both of them also ending with BTTS.  So I guess a couple of decent bets will be Bayern double chance win or draw and BTTS yes combo at 2.06.  And for the other one it's more of the same but with Tottenham at 2.70.

What do you guys think?  :/
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 15, 2023, 04:27:53 PM
Is it possible that Franklin sees this the other way round to the way you see it and he thinks of this fight as putting him back on the track to a world title fight? If it applies to Joshua then it should apply to Franklin too, he has an equal right to think of this fight as an opportunity to redeem himself.

These are the main aspects of the records:

Franklin record is 21 consecutive wins before his most recent fight which was a loss standing at 21-1
Joshua has a dismal record of his previous five fights as W2 L3 . He had 22 consecutive wins before loss to Ruiz and consecutive losses to Usyk standing at 24-3

If Ruiz had not wildly partied and semi-trained in the run up to the Joshua rematch, I think he would have beaten Joshua again. He regretted it later when he was interviewed but if things had turned out differently it would have been Ruiz and Usyk battling it out with each other and the winner facing Fury in a unification fight.

I don't agree with OP that this is a very close fight. This is a Joshua fight. Although Franklin has a decent record, it's just a record. He's not a star. I think this is a way for Joshua to redeem himself. He's given an easy opponent this time around. He could still be defeated of course especially if his back to back losses are still in his head, but he is fighting against a nobody. Joshua should be 100% ready for this fight and be able to knock Franklin out cold.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 15, 2023, 02:09:14 AM
And for reference, the current odds as per Stake:

So Franklin is 7:1 underdog, and I don't know if he can pull an upset here. This is a must win for Joshua if he still have this plan of an All-British showdown with Tyson Fury in the future. As he has said previously, his motivation is money so he must be motivated here so that he can book the biggest payday of his career before he retires. So I think the pressure is on Joshua's shoulder, but I think he can overcome Franklin with a big statement and morale booster win.
Franklin is the underdog and has been given little chance to defeat Joshua by the bookies but this will not be a walk in the park for Joshua. Franklin is eyeing the same prize that Fury and Usyk have their own eyes on therefore he will be looking for a victory rather than get in the ring for the money.

We should see a different Joshua he will never look at any opponent lightly again after the Ruiz loss and Usyk back to back losses where he is the favorite to win in those matches, he is always the favorite but looking at this fight Franklin can deliver an upset but he is nowhere the skill of Usyk, Joshua should take this fight very seriously another loss and it will dash all hopes to get back on top and we may never see the most awaited Fury - Joshua or even the Wilder - Joshua match.
Joshua is still young and can still make a lot of great fights but he should start somewhere and this is it.
After what Ruiz did to Joshua by knocking him out, he was never the same boxer again. You are right Joshua will never underestimate any opponent again and he will not look at the Whyte vs Franklin fight and think he will win easily. The way I see it if Franklin wins he will get back on track for a chance to fight for a title but that would spell the end of Joshua as a professional boxer. Joshua has to win otherwise his career will probably be over.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 15, 2023, 01:57:42 AM
Was there an addition of 15 charges to the original 100? I'm not sure if the penalty will be issued this season, but the other EPL clubs have been pushing the FA for a quick decision, but nothing has happened so far.

Apart from huge financial penalties and a 15-point deduction, the other penalties aren't realistic; the FA wouldn't want a club like City which has a lot of money and influence to end up in a lower tie; the FA is so corrupt. Juventus had minor charges compared to Man City and were penalized, but the FA has yet to make a significant move like the Italian FA.
The FA have openly stated Manchester City did not co-operate ever since they started their started their investigation around four years ago.

There are 115 allegations in total which are between 2009 and 2018. In that period Manchester City won the following:

Premier League 4 times: 2011–12, 2013–14, 2017–18 and 2018–19
FA Cup 2 times:  2010–11 and 2018–19
League Cup: 2013–14, 2015–16, 2017–18 and 2018–19
FA Community Shield: 2012 and 2018

Guardiola joined Manchester City in 2016 therefore at least two of his four Premier League titles will be tainted if they are found guilty of financial misconduct.

As for relegation, if Manchester City cheated their way to the numerous Premier League titles, try explaining to fans of the other 19 clubs why Manchester City do not deserve to be relegated.

I am 100% certain that they will not relegate Manchester City. The investigation has been going on more then 4 years so I doubt we will see penalties next season and it will probably be in a few years if they are found guilty. 100 charges is going to take years it could even be another 4 years to battle the charges in court.

1. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/12804623/man-city-premier-league-charges-explained-what-are-they-what-could-punishment-be-whats-the-timescale
If what you say is the true then those that cheat the system can and will carry on cheating their way to more titles and trophies. One thing that the Premier League can do is to punish Manchester City without waiting for the independent commission to give their verdict. They already had one meeting a few days ago where the issue was discussed while Manchester City were present at that meeting too.

If this takes years to drag out before a decision is made it will basically leave the Premier League with no credibility.

After suffering back to back defeats by Usyk and losing all his world titles in the process, Joshua is starting to make a comeback. Franklin had a perfect win record until he was defeated in a controversial points decision by Whyte in November 2022.

The fight takes place on 1st April 2023 at the O2 Arena in London. This will be an interesting fight because Joshua could make it three consecutive losses and Franklin could make it back to back defeats for himself. Both boxers have a lot at stake in the fight.

A fully fit and focused Joshua should win the fight even if it goes to a points decision but Franklin has the tools to cause an upset. This will be a very close fight and I am expecting Franklin to win it and cause Joshua to reconsider his career because he probably did not recover after losing to Usyk twice.

The bottom line is this, Franklin can afford to lose this fight and still continue as a professional boxer but if Joshua loses it will be almost impossible for him to be taken seriously again.

1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 13, 2023, 03:51:20 PM

The title race has not ended. It is not yet a clear race between Arsenal and Manchester City because Manchester United are not that far behind as they occupy the top three positions in the Premier League table. There are still 51, 48 and 45 points available to the top three teams until the season ends therefore the race is not over. The top 5 including Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the chasing pack though they might be too far behind to mount a serious challenge if Arsenal collapse and go through a bad run of form (as I expect they will do).

I would not be surprised if Manchester City win the title to become champions again and for this season they remain champions because their legal team drags out the process until next season by filing a strong defence to each of the 155 alleged breaches, which means if they finish top they will be champions 2022/23. In that scenario they could receive a points deduction or relegation next season but they will remain champions for this season.

If they are found guilty by the FA and they lose the appeal and all that happens before the current season ends, they could theoretically have either points deducted or be relegated for breaching financial fair play rules therefore it could be a case of Arsenal or Manchester United ending the season second place in the Premier League table but one of them could end up being crowned champions if Manchester City are removed from the equation.

If the FA find Manchester City guilty of any of the 115 charges and are punished with a points deduction or more likely relegation, I think they will consider going to the High Court to try to have the verdict overturned using legal challenges to try to reverse the punishment. If they are found guilty, I am sure Guardiola will stand by his words and he will resign because he said he believes the club did not lie to him when they said they did not break financial fair play rules.

If Manchester City are punished with relegation there is no doubt the majority of their players will leave as they would not want to play in the second tier and they would want to play Champions League football. That would leave them in financial difficulties because the owners could easily cover all costs but they would have to do so within scrutinised financial fair play rules therefore to cover the salaries of the players without Premier League income will be impossible. If the Premier League also place an embargo on their teams buying Manchester City players it will make it harder for them to balance their books outside of the Premier League.

If Manchester City are found guilty by the FA on any of the 115 allegations, possible punishments from the FA and the Premier League could include:

Huge financial penalties
Points deduction
Severe points deduction leaving them bottom of the Premier League meaning unavoidable relegation
Automatic relegation at the end of the season
Several season long ban on Manchester City re-entering the Premier League
Transfer embargo where no Premier League teams engage with Manchester City

@JollyGood Arsenal has a game in hand and if they win it then they’ll comfortably sit ahead on the top, and Manchester United are sadly yet not in the title race unless City and Arsenal drop lots of points. However I’m happy with how Manchester United performed last night, and what a player Rashford is turning out to be because I never really expected him to score so many goals for the club.

RESULTS:

Leeds United 0-2 Manchester United
Manchester City 3-1 Aston Villa

Manchester United beat Leeds United in a difficult game but they took 4 points instead of 6 points over back to back games against them. It still keeps them in the title race.

This is turning out to be an exciting chase for the title. If Manchester City beat Arsenal when the two teams meet after 3 days then Manchester City will be sitting on top of the Premier League table.

If Arsenal win it will be a massive boost for them but if Manchester City win it will probably mean they will sit at the top of the table until the day they are crowned champions.

Here is the Premier League table as it currently stands:

Thank you shasan, DarkStar_ and zazarb for your very detailed and informative replies.

If I were ever going to run a business, I think lending would be near the bottom of the list. It seems far too risky for my liking but I have to congratulate all the lenders here because it is a tough business to be in and they are still here years after they started.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 12, 2023, 03:40:43 PM
At the start of the game Leeds United would have accepted a draw and with it a point because of their position in the league table and because they have a temporary manager until a permanent replacement can be found. As for Manchester United, if they have any slim chance of winning the Premier League or finishing as runners-up they have to win today.

There will be goals in the second half, the question is which team is going to score first.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 12, 2023, 02:50:51 PM
These are the games taking place today:

Leeds United vs Manchester United
Manchester City vs Aston Villa

Both Manchester teams have a chance to close the gap on first placed Arsenal if they win their games today. The first game between Leeds and Manchester United has ended 0-0 at half-time.

Manchester City will play Aston Villa at 4.30pm. If they win today and then beat Arsenal when the teams meet after just 3 days, then Manchester City will be top of the Premier League on goal difference and Arsenal will be second place with 52 points and Manchester United will be third either with 43, 44 or 46 points depending on the game today.
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 05:10:51 PM
RESULTS:

West Ham United 1-1 Chelsea
Arsenal 1-1 Brentford
Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton and Hove Albion
Fulham 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Leicester City 4-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Southampton 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Tottenham take one step forward then another step back, what is going on with them if they lost at Leicester 4-1. Chelsea could only manage a draw at West Ham.

Arsenal could not beat Brentford but are still top of the Premier League table. They are just 6 points ahead of Manchester City and 8 points ahead of Manchester United.

It would have been informative to have read what any other lender might have had to say on their experiences therefore hopefully some may find their way to this thread and would think about commenting.

I have edited my previous post, thank you. Now all the question is perfect.

1900  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a dishonest person and thus my negative feedback on: February 10, 2023, 04:34:51 PM
I had to check my untrusted feedback to read what Royse777 wrote about you. To me it seems a clear case of revenge feedback and a completely pointless thing but others can make up their own mind:

If someone sent a member an unsolicited PM and asked them to keep the contents secret and that person sending it was part-owner of a recent scam website who was now going to launch another website anonymously, why would anybody feel the need to be complicit via silence in the new website which could also be a scam?

Had anybody tried finding the actual post Royse777 linked in the first part of his feedback with the accusation?

On the second part, it is NOT believed you reached out to any of his potential clients to discourage them to work with Royse777. That was an accusation Royse777 made. Nobody believes that you or anybody reached out to potential business owners.

I have to say it is commendable you tried to de-escalate the situation by avoiding writing about Royse777 but I would add the name calling on your part is unnecessary and it does not put you in a good light. You should lock this thread and move on from the whole issue.
