1421  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 11, 2023, 09:16:45 PM
I am in no doubt about naim027 having more alt-account and not only are some them active some are probably enrolled on to campaigns with a particular campaign manager  Roll Eyes

Naim027 was not doing that well, when he mentioned he did not need signature campaign income as he was already working multiple job I knew immediately he was a compulsive liar but even before that I wrote him off as such. Let us not forget one of his alt-accounts was even exposing other members who had alt-accounts enrolled on campaigns or participating in bounties.

I would not be surprised if in the coming weeks and months more alt-accounts are connected in one way or another.

I expected Naim027 to still have a bunch of accounts active in the forum, I could tell from his previous actions that  he would not let a ban stop him from creating new accounts. I don’t doubt the John Abraham account could be controlled by Naim027 but we will need more concrete evidence to tag the account. It’s a shame how Naim027 turned out, he was doing pretty well before he got caught.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 on: June 11, 2023, 08:35:12 PM
Well, well, Jolly, you certainly have your bets placed on Inter Milan, huh? I must say, you're quite bold with your prediction.
Yes I did have Inter Milan down to win this one quite comfortably but in the end Manchester City proved me wrong therefore congratulations to them. They have become the second English team to win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season.

Edit:  LUKAKU DEFENDING FOR CITEH!!!  HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Lukaku ended up unwittingly defending for Manchester City when the ball basically was hit on his legs while he had no idea it was on target for the goal. Whether any Manchester City player would have saved it is another thing but Lukaku in the way of goal was sad to see. Inter Milan should have won the game early on when they had chances and also with the last kick of the game when the goal was saved but congratulations to Guardiola and Manchester City.
1423  Economy / Gambling / Re: [NEW] 🚀 Rocketpot.io | 2,500+ Games 🎰 | 10% Cashback 💰 on: June 11, 2023, 04:13:00 PM
I completely forgot about Rocketpot as the thread has not been bumped for a very long time therefore I was expecting another scam allegation but to my surprise it was about something else.

I visited the website a short while ago and found no issues accessing it. Whatever the problem was that stopped others from accessing it might be resolved now.
1424  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 10, 2023, 01:56:32 PM
The feedback is an essential deterrent for those that are considering promoting any known scam.

What already has been mentioned in the thread was the number of people that find their way here to post using newly created accounts about them getting scammed by 1xbit/1xbit1 but hardly any post here before the even to state they were on the verge of sending funds to them but cancelled the idea after they read the warnings here.

Good to have feedbacks posted since eventhough it cannot drive out all people to their scam casino but at least it can save those newbies who always do some research before participating.
1425  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IS ATOMIC WALLET HACK OR SCAM? 🔴 Immediately Withdraw your Funds on: June 10, 2023, 01:46:51 PM
I had a look at the Atomic Wallet profile on Twitter and they have not updated victims or those seeking information. The last they mentioned anything about the hack was two days ago.

Even if their claim about just 1% of their customers being affected by the hack it totalled a massive $35 million and they are still looking to find what happened therefore the potential to increase the number of victims (and thus increase the actual amount stolen) is still a possibility.
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 on: June 10, 2023, 01:40:03 PM
Manchester City vs Inter Milan

After a long road from the beginning of the European footballing season we have arrived at the final game of the season and it is the Champions League final which is being played this evening at 8pm in Ataturk Olimpiya, Istanbul:

How confident?
I am very confident Inter Milan will be crowned Champions League winners this evening after they beat Manchester City  Grin
1427  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 08, 2023, 11:34:35 AM
I cannot recall when the most recent genuine scam accusation (with evidence such as transaction id and screenshots to back up the claim) was made against 1xbit/1xbit1 in this thread but I think it is already almost universally agreed that the 1xbit/1xbit1 operators are running a scam website.

They seemed to have some sort of slack in the past because they seem to be intermittently selective scamming their members but are they still doing it? Where are all the mass-scale scam allegations against them?

let us accept the reality that 1xbit and other scam site are part of gambling world, there must be dishonest to distinguish who is honest .
1428  Other / Meta / Re: Poll on solving the imgur issue on: June 08, 2023, 11:16:06 AM
Nope it's not working... it was working for some time but it's down again for last few days.
Oh no here we go again. If it has failed to supply images again then rendering members unable to upload to imgur is the correct step forward taken by theymos.

I start to think they created a bandwidth control system for each site. That is, when a certain site reaches a certain bandwidth, they block the site for a number of days, until the counter is reset. Perhaps they want to implement a system so that sites pay to use their bandwidth.
Stranger things have occurred in the past, I would not be surprised if your theory was correct and to a degree from their hosting perspective it might be a strategy that keeps them rotating their biggest audience.

Given that imgur seems to be accesible again
It's not Sad
This whole imgur images are available or not on issue will probably be resolved by theymos in the coming days. Option #2 will handle the images-not-found issue with links and as for future images, there will have be to be other hosting solutions. Apart from some learning issues I cannot recall ever having a problem with Postimages

Seen it before, just being unlucky, but as I said no big deal, it will confirm for sure during the night.
Sure as you said, my withdrawal must have been confirmed at some point in the early hours.

No, the transaction remains unconfirmed. Although the service still sets good fees with a similar fee, 44-48 sat/byte, apparently this time the long confirmation is caused by the operation of the blockchain itself and its temporary loading. In general, I like that even with free withdrawals, the mixer does not send transactions to users with minimal fees.
I suppose (and hope) your withdrawal has been completed by now.

I guess an empty address, used or unused, has no impact whatsoever in the mixing process.
For what it us concerned there are 10^38 empty addresses out there.
I agree with you, it stands to reason an empty address as far as Whirlwind is concerned would have literally no impact whatsoever when it comes to mixing. Unless I am missing the obvious, I cannot see any scenario where having multiple empty addresses would have any benefit at all.
1430  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 08, 2023, 08:23:10 AM
Yes their signature campaigns do exist. It seems most of those that participate are either operated by 1xbit/1xbit1 themselves or by a puppeteer that is controlling by far the majority of enrolled accounts.

Historically they have a tendency to run a few campaigns every year at varying times and not all of them are long-term campaigns (such as with for example the Duelbits or BestChange campaigns). Maybe Christmas is their favourite time as they run signature campaigns but they have run signature campaigns during sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup and ended them after the competition is over too.

Do their signature campaign still exist?  Because those members that I often  that i often see in the past that is now not actively posting or maybe i just missing the thread they are posting.
1431  Other / Meta / Re: Poll on solving the imgur issue on: June 08, 2023, 08:13:32 AM
Given that imgur seems to be accesible again (for the time being at least) but for the images that now or in future are no longer accessible I think using Option #2 would be a way to simply get it over and done with and let the past be the past.

If imgur will provide an error for future uploads it puts the onus of the member to select an image hosting website which should serve the purpose and also keep a back up of all images uplaoded from now onwards.

It looks like imgur is no longer blocking the image proxy. I didn't change anything on the forum's end, so imgur must've loosened up their limits. I guess it's not necessary to convert img images into links as long as imgur keeps working. But to prevent this from happening again, you'll get an error if you try to embed imgur images in posts from now on.

It has been several hours since I made a withdrawal (on 0 hours) request and it still shows as pending on the blockchain. This is the first time something like this has happened to me when using Whirlwind and as they have not posted about any potential issues this is somewhat confusing.

The image you posted shows the transaction as unconfirmed. Do you have any confirmations at all or is it still unconfirmed even after all this time?

I've probably asked for a withdrawal at the same time as Ratimov, I can see a pending tx now, it's a fresh and unconfirmed one but seems like they are rolling withdrawals right now.
It has been several hours since you posted. Has your transaction moved from pending to confirmed or is it still pending?
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: June 07, 2023, 06:47:48 PM
No disrespect to any manager out there but surely a football club the size of Tottenham Hotspur could have (and probably should have) appointed a much more bigger name with a much more proven background.

If Tottenham manage to have some stability they will be on the verge of success because their squad needs just a little tweaking before they can mount a serious top four finish in the Premier League and with that gain experience in the Champions League the following season. Within say five years they could be a completely different team to what we see today but they need a manager who will be backed by the board and one that the players respect.

Source: https://www.transfermarkt.com/better-than-brendan-rodgers-why-tottenham-appointed-celtic-manager-ange-postecoglou/view/news/422277

Tottenham have finally found their new coach seemingly - Ange Postecoglou. He has been Celtic's coach for two seasons and his contract is about to end with them. His run with Celtic so far has been pretty impressive. The work he has done so far must have drawn the attention of Tottenham board. However I still have some doubts about this.

I mean isn't it risky for them to sign a coach who doesn't have any experience with a bigger team than Celtic? It is said that Tottenham will sign even a four-year deal with him. I hope this doesn't turn into the Potter situation with Chelsea. Because Chelsea also signed a five-year deal with Potter but he lasted only one season.

Is the service okay? More than 9 hours ago I made a request for withdrawal of funds, set 0 hours in the settings and still nothing. Previously, with these settings, the service sent a transaction to my wallet within 20-40 minutes after creating a withdrawal request.
This is the first time I recall reading anything related to withdrawals being problematic. I will make a withdrawal of request soon and will update here if things turn out to be similar to what Ratimov reported.

The Whirlwind forum representative has not been online here for around 9 days (last logged in 30th May 2023) but if they could make a post here addressing the question it would be appreciated.

Maybe they make another upgrade or maintanance without any notifications, how it was early:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5446575.msg62279774#msg62279774
That particular server maintenance was around 3 weeks ago therefore I would be inclined to believe it has nothing to do with the current situation regarding Ratimov and his withdrawal.
1435  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 07, 2023, 10:03:48 AM
Once upon a time Trustpilot was actually trusted by millions. People would visit their website to read reviews about the experiences others have had from goods and services received and that was done in order to understand what the consumer was getting involved with before sending their money for the purchase. That was a long time ago.

Unfortunately since then Trustpilot has become synonymous with anything but trust. Nobody should now accept in good faith what is written in their reviews because the element of trust (in Trustpilot) has been eroded.
1436  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IS ATOMIC WALLET HACK OR SCAM? 🔴 Immediately Withdraw your Funds on: June 07, 2023, 09:17:21 AM
I guess I should have been somewhat surprised upon learning of the Atomic Wallet hack but really it was not that much of a surprise to learn that allegedly $35 million was stolen from various wallets being allegedly compromised.

If any source code is freely available it will allow any and all eyes to go over the code and would result in reports of what needed to be fixed or patched however in this example of code being partially closed-source we can see the ramifications of essentially playing with million of USD$ of other peoples money while proclaiming to be providing a safe and secure service/product.

This is directly from the Atomic Wallet website: https://support.atomicwallet.io/article/184-why-is-atomic-wallet-not-open-source

---------------------------

Why is Atomic Wallet not open source?

For the most part, Atomic Wallet's using open source libraries. However, some parts of the code aren't publicly available.

But why?

When it comes to money, it's only natural to trust no one but yourself, even more so if we're talking crypto. "Open source" doesn't necessarily translate to "secure," though. Here's our reasoning behind keeping our wallet a partly closed source app:

  • Atomic Wallet is a unique product created by a hard-working team. We created a service we are proud of, so we stand for the uniqueness of its design and technologies. We want to continue developing our product and stand out in the market.
  • We don't want to make scammers' jobs easier. There's a saying that goes: "Given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow." This could mean that an open source app wouldn't be able to get away with questionable or outright malicious code practices. However, please bear in mind that this approach is a double-edged sword. Sure, it allows crypto enthusiasts and software engineers to audit the code to make sure it's secure. At the same time, it also greatly aids scammers & hackers in learning everything about the app's inner workings. Speaking of which...
  • We don't want fake apps to boom in numbers. By making just a few minor tweaks, scammers would be able to build a fake wallet app based on our source code. Many wallets have already been targeted by scammers creating fake GitHub repositories filled with malware. Should we make our code freely available, building a genuine-looking scam app would be a matter of a few hours.

We perfectly understand some crypto holders' preference for open source wallets. Still, we believe the points outlined above to be good enough reasons for keeping our app closed source for now.

---------------------------

I cannot be the only one seeing the irony in this because they have justified their case for remaining partially closed-source because their system was built by a hard working team and would like the uniqueness of their design and technology to to stand out in the market.

Furthermore, they remained partially closed-source because they did not want to make a scammers job easier and cited "Given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow."

Also, the fake apps comment is somewhat strange as far as timing is concerned because " Many wallets have already been targeted by scammers creating fake GitHub repositories filled with malware. Should we make our code freely available, building a genuine-looking scam app would be a matter of a few hours."

Their website https://atomicwallet.io remains completely quiet about the hack, it mentions nothing about the biggest news to hit Atomic Wallet since it was created and I not surprised because it shows another reason why they cannot be trusted and should never have been trusted in the first place.

They have put out a statement on Twitter stating some of the funds have been effectively seized as they were sent to various exchanges but have not elaborated on how much. Putting all this aside, this is a perfect example of why any closed-source (or partially closed-source) product cannot be trusted to keep your crypto funds safe.
1437  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SPORTSBET.io accuse me with multi accounting and DONT PAY MY WINNINGS on: June 07, 2023, 08:55:27 AM
Did Sportsbet ever post about this? All we have is the word of the OP that he wrote to the licence company and somehow that resulted in Sportsbet paying him. He did not elaborate more than that therefore we do not know if he received the initial deposits or the winnings and all we have here is what he is claiming.

As for the OP claiming to have another issue (with Playbetr.com) it remains to be seen if he will open a scam allegation against them.

now I need to take my money back from playbetr.com
Wait, you have another independent issue with Playbetr.com?
Is it similar to one of Sportbet.io that has just been resolved?

On the positive note, it's good to know that the issue you has with sportsbet.io was resolved and concluded. Did you receive any official communication from them alongside the refunds?
1438  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 07, 2023, 08:01:12 AM
Let us not forget even though the 1xbit/1xbit1 team are continuing to use this forum (for on/off signature campaigns, announcements and occasional general posting) their reputation here has been tarnished way beyond repair.

It seems they have given up on addressing the scam allegations and are instead focusing every now and then on their signature campaigns and promoting any competitions. The warning for those that might be thinking of using their website is that just because a website might look professional and/or sleek it does not mean it is scam-free.

Sadly but they will never leave this forum as Bitcointalk. Org is the biggest crypto community in the world which means there is always a potential victims.
So why leave if they can stay forever, and the only help that we can provide is to continue spreading their scam nature so lessen of victims they may gather and less funds will come to their pocket.
1439  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SPORTSBET.io accuse me with multi accounting and DONT PAY MY WINNINGS on: June 06, 2023, 05:24:16 PM
What exactly are you implying here because amongst other things it seems you could be stating that you complained to the licence company and as a result of you writing to them a decision was made by Sportsbet.io to pay you. Is that correct?

As far as I noted earlier in the thread you seemed to be in breach of their Terms of Service, the ones you voluntarily signed up to and accepted to abide by when you registered on the Sportsbet.io website therefore it would be difficult to understand why they would pay you anything at all (if you won while in breach of their rules) however if they paid original deposits back (either as a gesture of goodwill or as a point of terminating the account) that is a different matter altogether.

After I wrote the license company they decided to reconsider their decision. They refunded me the rightful money. Thanks for helping me in here , now I need to take my money back from playbetr.com

Thanks
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow on: June 06, 2023, 08:11:54 AM
Most (if not all) people in the early days of any coin would probably be wishing they had held on to at least one or two of their portfolio a little longer but unfortunately that was all part of the process which included learning along the way as well as buying and selling. The early Bitcoin adopters probably feel the same way.

It might be a painful experience to go back to the past around 10 years since you made that post and then go over how many Dogecoin you got might have sold but out of curiosity would you be able to recall the amount you wished you held on to?

If only i would have hodl'd.
